It's interesting that it's never stated that Jin has some lingering attachment to Kaori and stays with Kenjaku because of that. That's the connection you would quite naturally make, but if we take what's being said at face value, then these two are always just talking about Kenjaku. They never bring up Kaori until the end and there it's tied to her ability to have a child.

Jin doesn't want to talk to his father about Kenjaku (he doesn't mention Kaori's name, so there's a good chance he knows the difference). Wasuke then warns him that staying with Kenjaku means he will die and tells him to give up on Kenjaku. Not Kaori. He's not telling him to accept Kaori's death or process his grief, he's saying he should stop hanging out with Kenjaku. Jin talks ominously about the memory capacity of babies, meaning if he remembers Sukuna he would have a motive to stay with Kenjaku. Then Wasuke also brings up that the reason they are still together is likely because unlike Kaori, Kenjaku could give him a child and finally brings up the circumstances of Kaori's death (something that seems to accepted happened between the two of them) before Kenjaku shows up.

I think (or hope) that Jin did care about Kaori at some point or maybe also still did back then, but he had stronger reasons to stay with Kenjaku that might be more than just grief and being unable to let go of his wife. In fact it's Kenjaku he's hanging onto and Kaori seems to be more of an afterthought. We'll find out the details soon enough I'm sure, but it's just something I noticed and hadn't quite seen put into words before.
