you were currently cuddled against his chest on the couch, watching whatever movie was playing.

you weren’t paying attention.

but then again, how could you? its like the thoughts never stopped. your mind was way too active and it never seemed to stop coming up with new negativity to leave you overthinking to the max.

you hated when it happened. it was often something new which then added to the bad thoughts as a whole.

and right now, you were at one of your lowest.

you began to think. you hadn’t checked in on your parents in a while. maybe you should? maybe you should text them right now, just incase. after all, you never really know how much time you have left with them.

maybe while you’re at it, text your aunt and uncle. you haven’t talked to them in a while. are they even okay?

the urge to grab your phone right now was beginning to eat away at you. you should really text them. what if something happens and you didn’t get to say one last ‘i love you’? maybe you can just—

“hey,” jj interrupted your thoughts, bright blue eyes searching yours. “i lost you there for a minute, sweetheart.”

oh.

what if you lose jj? what if he loses you? what if—

“what’s goin’ on in that pretty little head of yours?” he asked curiously.

you just shook you head. “nothing.”

“really? cause you were zoned out for a good 5 minutes,” he replied. “c’mon, sweetheart. what’s wrong?”

you felt like you were going to cry. “you know,” you shrugged. “just same old, same old.”

he reached for the remote to pause it before wrapping his arm around your shoulder to pull you closer to him. “it’s just thoughts, baby. they’re not real. you’re not gonna lose ‘em anytime soon,” he said. “and i can promise you i’m not goin’ anywhere.”’

you sighed and buried your head into his shoulder. “you don’t know that though.”

he leaned his cheek against your head. “maybe. but still, you gotta just enjoy the time you have with them now, you know, think of the memories. and i know it’s not easy, but distract yourself so you don’t have the time to think like that. besides, you know your family does the best they can to stay healthy.”

“i don’t know how to distract myself though,” you said, muffled against his shirt. “my mind just always wanders.”

“well,” he began. “i can think of a few ways to distract you.”

you smacked his chest. but then again, you couldn’t help the laugh that left your lips. “you’re so stupid.”

“i know. but that’s why you love me,” he said with a big cheesy grin.

and just like that, with your boyfriends stupid humor, you were distracted for a little.

䷂ btw this is a rewrite of an old post... tryna get back into writing so im gonna try to power through all these stories bcuz im rlly hype about them ^_^ so im gonna go through all of them and i hope you all enjoy || banners/dividers from @cafekitsune

䷂ also as heads up there are a handful of terms used in the game for Cyberpunk 2077 so there is an index at the bottom of the story for some phrases and terms that are canon in the game :P

“800 eddies from bets alone tonight,” your friend chuckles, his eyes glowing a faint blue as he scrolls through the most recent fight’s revenue. you only groan in response, one hand pressing ice to your blackening eye and the other stitching up an open wound on your thigh.

“is that all?” you hissed as the needle sewed through your skin, “what are we getting from the venue?”

“a good 12 bands before fees…” he hummed, his eyes still focused on the numbers, “with a 60 to 40 split we-”

“70 and 30, Han,” you interrupt his thought, pulling the ice from your eye to make sure he can feel your glare.

“right…” he coughs, the blue light fading from his eyes to look at you, “with that agreement, we’ll be able to pay off this month’s fees with eddies to spare. why are you still looking at me like that?”

you pinch your temple as Han spoke, throwing the cold pack to the side as you stand up, slowly limping over to the large monitor showing a replay of your fight. “it isn’t enough. one of my damn implants got fried when that fucker socked me in the eye,” you snarl as you watch the scene unfold on the screen. blood and spit spatters against the camera as you see your own head snap to the side after a particularly brutal punch. “i need to get that replaced before i fight again. also i… uhm need to pay off someone.”

“…who do you have to pay off, y/n?” Han narrows his eyes at you.

“some valentino idiot. don’t ask.”

“jesus christ y/n. last month it was the tyger claws and now you have debts with the valentinos? we were almost done paying off the tygers too,” the brunette lectures as he begins to pace.

“hey, what are you talking shit for? you’re getting a share of my money. what are you doing to help pay off fees, huh?” your eyes narrow as you snatch a bottle of rubbing alcohol.

“how do you think you are getting these fights?” he snarks back. it’s evident in his face that he will not let down this argument any time soon.

you roll your eyes, “you aren’t the one with a broken nose every other night.” jumping up onto one of the tables, you start to pour the alcohol on your now stitched up wound, flinching a little at the sting causing you to drop the bottle. now it was han’s turn to roll his eyes as he picked up the bottle and a towel, using it to wipe down the cut for you.

“maybe you should consider another line of work then,” he spoke casually as he patted away the dried blood on your leg, “you’re young. and smart. maybe if you saved up all this fighting money instead of getting new implants,” he narrows his eyes, pausing his work to glare at you, “...and getting on various gang’s nerves, you could, i dunno, go to school or something. i heard arasaka is-”

“what about you, hm?” you interrupt him for the second time this night, raising an eyebrow at him, “look han, this is all i have and i may not last long, but for now, while i’m still kicking, i’ll stick to the ring.”

han only sighs, now wrapping gauze and bandages over your thigh, “okay then, what about money? if this is your only gig, how are we gonna pay everything off? gonna start taking gigs?” he scoffs.

“pfft as if you could handle being a merc,” you tease, punching his shoulder playfully, “i’ll figure it out. maybe pick up more fights, who knows. everything will figure itself out.”

with that last reassurance and a pat to han’s back, you jump off the table. you attempt to give a quick thanks to your friend for bandaging you up when you’re interrupted by your apartment door being swung open.

wearing a shit-eating grin stood who might easily be your least favorite person in night city, lee minho. he wasn’t alone, however. standing next to him at about the same height was a man who looked as if minho had just plucked him from the street. you couldn’t get an immediate read on him, but one thing was quite apparent and it was how tired he seemed. all he had was a simple black t-shirt and cargo pants and to your shock, not a single cybernetic implant in sight. it’s been a while since you’ve seen a human without any cybernetics, you couldn’t help but stare. while scanning for any concealed implants, your gaze wandered, captivated by the snug fit of his shirt against his well-defined chest, you almost forgot minho was in your apartment. almost.

“wow, you look like shit, y/n. lemme guess, rough fight?” he snickered as he let himself in, “you’re losing it. i remember the y/n who’d win all her fights without so much as a scratch,” the man smirks, “what ever happened to you, y/n?”

“what do you want, minho?” han barked as you turned your gaze from the stranger over to minho.

“not in the mood for chit-chat today it seems,” he feigns a surprised expression, nudging the stranger, “alright then, i’ll cut to the chase. i want you to fight my friend, bang chan here.” lee know’s hands flourish out to showcase the man, resulting in unimpressed faces from both you and han, “go on, introduce yourself.” minho nudges him again.

“ahem… hi. you can- uhm, call me chan,” he says with an awkward thin-lipped smile. you stare at him for a moment you mind occupied with trying to deduce this stranger. perhaps you stared for too long, your gaze getting momentarily lost in his strangely handsome features. it would truly be a shame to have to do any damage to his sculpted features… that is if you were even considering minho’s deal anyways.

“no.” you answered bluntly, already preparing to force minho out of your space.

“oh come on y/n. can’t you do this one for me?” he bats his lashes, “my client really wants you to fight him.”

“and why would i do anything for you, minho?” you laugh incredulously, perhaps a little too loud as you start to walk away.

“well…” minho draws out his word in a sing-song type of way, “maybe not for me, but you’d do it for a hundred grand.” you freeze in your step as you hear the number. there was no way have heard that right, right? you cast a look in han’s direction and it seemed the two of you were on similar mindsets at that very moment. you turn around to look at minho in disbelief. he simply wore a smug grin as he continued, “as i said, this client really wants to see you go at it with chan.”

“why?” you ask, stepping forward.

“i don’t know,” the man shrugs, “all i got was the guy himself, and a number. so… what do you say now?”

“deal.”

“hold up,” han interjects immediately, pulling you aside by your shoulder. you wince slightly as he accidentally presses down on a bruise, “sorry, but what? you’re really going to take a deal from minho. lee minho. that jerk standing in your apartment?” han points a crude finger and minho returns with a little twiddle of his fingers.

“do you know how many months one hundred thousand eddies will cover, han?” you urge.

“do you know that lee minho is an asshole who definitely does not have any good intentions with this deal?” he pressed, “this is too suspicious. and out of nowhere. we don’t take fights from randoms anyways. how do you know he’s not plotting something? maybe that chan guy is like a cyberpsycho in disguise or like an arasaka spy or something? i knew it… i said arasaka earlier and now they’re already onto our ass!” he rambles.

“hey hey hey, calm down. don’t worry,” you hold his shoulders, “i’ll do this fight. i’ll win. and we will get the money. we’ll pay off our debts and who knows, maybe i’ll even listen to you and i dunno… enroll in some classes like you said if we got leftover eddies. heard they got some of those trade programs one building over, hm?”

han looks down at you worriedly, “and what if you don’t win?”

“i will,” you chuckle, showing him one of the many hidden cybernetics you have in your arm, “by any means necessary. i’m undefeated, don’t you remember?” you wink before turning around to face minho and chan.

“how was your little pep-talk?” minho rolls his eyes.

“it was great. and we have a deal. one hundred thousand eddies, correct?”

“that is correct, my dear,” minho beams, a mischievous grin painted on his lips. you hold out your hand to shake, but minho shakes his head, pushing chan to stand in front of you instead, “shake with chan. he is the deal for you. i’m just the messenger. a soon-to-be well paid messenger.”

“alright, it is a deal, chan. pleasure to meet you,” you hold out your hand.

chan takes your much smaller hand, shaking it with an unsure expression across his features,

“a pleasure for me as well, y/n.”

i rlly want to write longer fics but i can never get past the first 1k words no matter what 😶 how TF do you write up to 30,000+???? pkease im DYING

This is a question I often battle with myself and it's one without an universal answer, imo. I can offer you advice that has worked for me, but you'll have to administer it following your own habits!

I’m putting this post under a readmore because it ended up being fairly long. (Tips, resources, links and book recs below cut)

In the throes of intensive fixation, I managed to write Catafalque's 32k in about ~2 months. But I think it's important to be clear here: 2 months of active, every day writing, even when I was feeling kind of meh about it, and I had already spent the previous November thinking about a lot of the themes / scenes / structure of the fic before I got to the writing part itself. I was also helped plenty by the fact that the fic is borrowing time locked events from Arcane's canon, and I knew exactly how things would play out for these characters ahead of time, meaning, I could explore alternate possibilities without a lot of stuff bogging me down. Readers would know what I was talking about by implication! I can just go on and on about feelings and abstract concepts and it's fine!

Compare it to my latest fic though (’Meat gets caught’) which sits at a hefty 6k, but also took… about 2 months of flubbing in the backburner, LOL. The Idealization period for this fic was considerably larger for a Way Smaller Output, since I was juggling characters people are mostly unfamiliar with, events they had no baseline for, and establishing a set character dynamic that is clear to me, but not to others, all in very a short allocation of paragraphs.

Now here's what I mean by the above: There is no standard speed to writing, and you should be aware that the process Will Be Different from author to author *and* project to project. It is a fallacy to believe success follows only one mold.

Ideally, you should stop thinking about big numbers altogether. Focus on the NOW. You want to finish a story you think might be kinda long, but you lose steam when trying to write aaaaaall that bullshit? ok then here's tip number 1 --

1) Just write 300 words a day. Every day. Make it a hardset goal, and avoid skipping this daily exercise as much as possible.

300 words a day for 30 days = 9000 words, easy. The objective here is giving you a task that can be completed without a daily headache. Maybe your minimum can be 200 words, if you prefer - so long as you write them. Pick a frequent or comfortable timeslot to do it, and make this a routine. Focus on finishing scenes, finishing a chapter, finishing whatever section you're already on. Keep going until you reach the end of your story.

You can edit it tomorrow, or when you're closer to completion. (I do a lot of fiddling with my words! I'll often edit my stories dozens of times, more if you're counting section rewrites or re-arranging paragraphs. Editing is your friend. Wait a little bit to see where you've messed up though. Fresh text is tricky.)

The good thing about setting this bar low, is that if you can only write your minimum of the day, that's perfectly fine. Close the doc and let it rest. But just the act of starting and working on the thing by itself is a surprisingly potent battery - there's days where i find a good rhythm for things and end up hammering a whole 1k, since my hands are already on the keyboard.

Tip #2, following on the footsteps of the above:

2) Use a different font color for each day. Make your progress actually *visible* while you're composing the document.

This can be as simple as alternating between black and dark blue to keep it non-distracting. (You can use other, crazier colors if you're into it though!) It's immediately rewarding to be able to scroll back through what I've already written and see that organic growth - days I wrote little, days I wrote a lot, how the text is still changing and being affected by what i do. I have an issue with abstract goals, I *like* being able to see how much progress I've made, and it gets me hyped to pinch in a little more.

3) EDITING IS YOUR FRIEND.

first drafts look and read like gummed up garbage. You should give imperfections a license to exist.

That's ideal! Don't be discouraged. Trust that you can come back and fix things when you have a better grasp of the whole piece. You can always edit it later. Remember: Polishing your text with time is not a bug - it's a feature.

4) BE FUCKING INDULGENT.

Writing is an inherently embarrassing act. This is self explanatory. Now, since you’re already there, just make the most of it.

If you’re really on the path towards a long con of a plot, make sure to sprinkle in gifts for yourself. Write about something you enjoy. Put in details that make you laugh. Make your characters go on your own big wubbyland adventure. ‘writing for an audience’ instead of for yourself can quickly kill the enjoyment (and drive) of anything.

5) Lost or confused? Think of your INTENT, FORM, and STRUCTURE.

I can't remember the last thing I wrote without an outline to guide me as the months wore on. I think it is deeply important to write down somewhere accessible, somewhere you can look back on:

What is the intent of this story? What am I trying to say?

This is a little cheat just for yourself, so you stay on topic. And you can broaden that question with a few more qualifiers if you like:

What is the sequence of events? What *themes* am I trying to convey? What are the major beats/ scenes/ actions taken? Can you break it down into a clean list of bullet points, one for each step of the story? that might help you a LOT. More than you'd think. If you find that helps you - make it a checklist. Make every little turn of the story into a micro goal that can be reached through narrative, and go ticking off the boxes until you’ve covered the whole thing.

You can even make this into a dedicated planning document by itself, put your themes, keywords, and bullet point outline all in one place. So when you're in the process of writing and your mind goes a little blank, all the refreshing elements are saved up nicely somewhere. Feel free to cheat.

...So that's INTENT and FORM -- what about STRUCTURE?

Mary Robinette Kowal did this great explainer on the structure of short stories and how to plan them, and the ideas she introduces here can be used to write fiction of *any* length. I highly recommend giving it a listen. If you're not used to thinking about story structure, this can be very clarifying! And if that's already something you worry about, the formula she provides is a great starting point to baking your own sourdough.

Structure is a broad subject depending on the specifics of your fiction, and this is where we begin to run into things like ‘Genre’ and ‘Point of View’ and the rubric stretches really wide.

When in doubt about structure (and genre), my rule of thumb is always:

1) Find something similar to what I’m trying to do

(what are things similar to this? what are the most popular examples of this? how were these things written, to express those ideas?)

2) Read up to see how they do it

(separate the stories into their barest components - how are the events presented? How is style used? How are characters developed -- what pushes characters into developing? What are the recurring themes? What connects this fiction into a cohesive, recognizable whole?)

3) Try to apply whatever notes I took from above ^^^^ into my own project

This might be obvious, but ‘questioning my story’ or ‘questioning my characters’ is usually how I begin developing all of my writing. You might be more attracted to another method! (and that’s okay) but this is the stuff I can offer.

Ellen Brock’s (Novel Editor) Advanced Story Structure series

‘Monkeys with Typewriters’ by Scarlett Thomas (book)

‘Steering The Craft’ by Ursula K. Le Guin (book)

‘Story Genius’ by Lisa Cron (book)

If you read through *just* the intro of some of those you’ll notice that they all have very different takes on these topics (and some may even contradict the others,) which is what I think makes for the best path to self-discovery. Explore different stuff, test it out, throw it away if it doesn’t work etc. And while I can’t post direct links here lets just say these are all. ummmm. Very Findable in the internet! Get an epub reader. Highlight a bit.

now that structure is over and done with, let’s move onto my last tip:

6) Seriously reconsider the size of your story.

A lot of people really don’t like being told this, but someone has to do it.

You’ll notice that a lot of my above advice (and resources,) errs on the side of assuming you want to write something at least as long as a 200-300 page novel. I can’t really blame them, since that’s just the state of the industry and ‘what sells’, and these ideas are so prominent they have transferred to nonprofit hobby spaces to the point people tend to think that bigger IS better -- but consider, maybe it isn’t.

Maybe the story you’re trying to tell can be condensed into a 15k word oneshot.

Maybe you can *actually* get it done if it’s a collection of important character-related scenes split into 3 chapters, instead of a whopping 50.

Maybe the concept eluding you thus far can become stronger if you let go of the preconception that it needs to be a drawn-out epic, and just write it as a potent roller-coaster ride that ends before the hour is up.

I’m not saying you need to undo all the work you’ve already done - but consider the whole! Making the scope of your writing smaller works on your favor. Unless you have a natural knack for it, I really, really wouldn’t recommend making your first serious attempt at longform writing a 100,000 word behemoth. ‘Done’, as a goal, is immediately more achievable than ‘Perfect’!

You can get a lot of mileage out of short stories and oneshots, and it can be more satisfying for you, as a writer, to complete whole projects in a realistic timeframe.

anyway. Maybe this will help you, or maybe it won’t. But in any case: I wish you the best of luck in this journey and I hope you can find what works best for you!!!

so like on the one hand we have the obvious: replace nya w cole. which. i want to do obv bc it’s perfect and i have been planning out the details of the scene where he dies in jays arms and they turn back time and then we finally get our bruise kiss since FOREVER so im not letting my baby go even if other ppl have already written the concept b4.

ON THE OTHER HAND we have, instead of doing the same plot just switching around the roles of some of the characters, REWRITING THE WHOLE PLOT BC HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUTTTTT OKAY everyones always like “nyas the bride” “coles the bride” but what if WHAT IF WHAT IFFFFF *JAYS* THE BRIDE???? For hangout places I love the weeby stores by me!!!! There’s a spot I love that has rlly good ramen and snacks. I also love going to a specific mall and the barcade w friends. Always love GameStop too.

Omg studying 😭 thank god I’m done w college. If I wanted to get a masters tho 💀 omg. Ok hm. Def practicing. For some types of studying music can help. Other times it doesn’t. Having a specific area helped me like sometimes going to the library or sitting on the floor rather than my bed or in the living room. Having snacks or set goals for myself. Setting a timer could help. Working w ppl who would hold me accountable vs ppl who just wanna chill (less helpful)

Having the tv on is def a distraction or like trying to study passively. I don’t remember all the tools I used honestly. I probably would rewrite the info and give myself practice questions. I definitely struggled to pay attention looking back. Lots of my note docs would be almost blank bc I’d just start writing fanfic. I also attended zoom university for a bit so it was a wash. I sucked at studying in high school. My senior year was full of bs classes that I was actually interested in. I probably should get screened for adhd but my therapist was like you’re fine so 🤷🏼 w/e. I almost failed math sophomore year of hs bc I could not focus I would just draw mermaids in the corners of my notebook. My parents’ friend/a dif teacher tutored me and the one on one help is def the only way I passed. I took an easier class next year that I could bs my way thru and same for my senior year.

In college I’d be like bitch u don’t EAT until u do this math. U get NO free ice cream if u don’t do it >:(. U don’t get to do xyz until after. I will order DOMINOS if u actually try

I am v lucky to have a job I care about and can plan for. It’s like the fine dining and breathing SpongeBob thing. If I don’t care about it it’s thrown out and everything is on fire.

Haha I used to need the tv on to sleep at my parents’ house. I also used to have a much easier time w melatonin, weed, or alcohol bc I was constantly anxious there. 🥲 now I can lit sleep in absolute dark and w silence and don’t need any sleep aides. I love the lil fan I have blowing on my face and I love sleeping in the ac. I love my blankets I have some special ones and then a weighted one that is such a game changer. I hate when it’s too hot to sleep or too cold like I don’t like having to bundle. When I lived w my roommates they liked it really cold and I’d basically shiver until I finally crashed. W like a sweatshirt and sweatpants and socks and multiple blankets.

A burrito or burrito bowl bc whenever I was hella sad I’d go to qdoba and it would make me so much happier immediately. And whenever it was free it was an extra boost. I loved being able to choose everything too and like a lot of the staff knew what I was gonna say bc I was there a lot 💀💀💀

mmmm u should determine the time when u feel more apt to memories stuff, for me it's earlyyyyyyy morning. also a tip would be to summarize what u need to learn or at least rewrite it in ur own style so it'd be more prone to stick to ur brain. the Pomodoro technique is rlly good (study for 25 mins and rest for 5) find out if u have a photographic memory, meaning u need to look at the words to remember them or an auditory one (u need to hear urself repeating the text to remember) or if u learn by rewriting what u need to learn over and over. goood luck bb <33

I don’t find it weird at all. school+work+life have made it difficult to focus on writing so I’ve admittedly been super slow to do stuff and lax on editing and finishing up what I have... plus the general feeling of malaise that comes from the lack of an audience (compared to what I had b4... you know). so, it’s nice to know what little I have shared means that much to you.

if I’m honest, I’m not entirely sure what I want to do with it at this point. as of right now the first volume is under heavy editing and I still have to write the last one (and lightly edit the rest) so 10 years might be a reasonable timeframe lol.

on the one hand I feel a little bad for taking so long to produce even a single chapter, but on the other hand looking at my first draft compared to what I’ve got laid out after significant rewrites makes me think that it was probably a good idea to wait.

hi honey !! thank you sm <3 omg,,, i suck at these but i will try to give you tips (and for others too sjdjsjs)

1. i'm pretty sure everyone does this, read. not just fics here, but also books. yk what i mean right? like,,, books yk, harry potter, percy jackson series, rainbow rowell books. oh, try reading classics, too. c.s. lewis books (soecifically, yes. narnia.), sonnets of elizabeth barret browning, etc. oh, lang leav. yes. how can i forget her? reading improves not only your writing, your comprehension, too. your vocabulary would widen. also, don't stick with only one author. read varieties of books from different authors, compare their writing styles, and then you'd find your own style. one you're confident with.

2. don't force yourself to write, okay? if you don't have a motivation, but you have the idea, don't force it. if you really don't want to write as of the moment, then dont. i swear, you wont be satisfied with your work. it will come to you naturally, okay? <3

3. if you're going to write a long fic like 5k beyond words or series, write down the flow of the story. like what happens,,, like this.

yes, it's wob. i dont mean to shove a promo down your throat, this is just rlly an example. 😭 it's not impossible that you would get random ideas for the fic in the most random times, if you feel the urge to write that part only, go ahead. when you get to that part, you can always rewrite it, that is if you want to rewrite it. but seriously, you don't have to write it in order. like, you're still in part three, but you want to write part seven, go ahead. write part seven, put it aside until you get to that part, reread it if ever there are some parts that dont make sense, edit it. yk? tbh most of my fics are like,,,, endings first 😭

4. proofread 😭 i swear, do it. i don't do it and i regret it most of the times because there are some little details that i forgot to put, and yknow, i really believe that even the smallest details can make a big change in the whole story. so, proofread it before posting, really.

5. as long as you're happy with how your work is, you're more than just good to post your work. but ofc pls likes comments and rbs wont hurt pls dont just like, also leave comment and rb it with feedbacks, we love hearing from you. also, if you have anyone you rlly trust to read your work and critique for you, go ahead. but it's also totally fine if you're more than satisfied <3

6. regarding with what you said, you got no likes or reblogs, here's the thing, it happened to me too when i first posted here. and the thing is, it's bcs your blog is probably new. you havent liked, rb or posted anything yet. and tumblr is making sure that u're not a bot, so im pretty sure that's what happened to you. it probably didnt appear in the tags, that's all. speaking of, tags are important too! make sure you use the proper tags so people can see it <3 dont lose confidence honey !! i'm pretty sure your work is great. <3 ily

I never really thought of Roman's eating habits too much before reading your work, but now it shapes so much of how I understand his character. travelling alone COULD be risky </3 me and my uni friends randomly travelled to vienna last week because it was warm out and we thought our seasonal depression was finally over and i love me some spontaneous decisions but also it was so anxiety inducing bc it was my first time going abroad with no supervision 😭😭 we had SO much fun but also the stress we were put through to find the bus platform back home ??? never again. was so bad that i broke my 5 month streak of not smoking bc i had to calm myself down somehow and then i was put through the stress of buying cigarettes in german when i caNT SPEAK GOOD GERMAN but 10/10 i would do it again and it made me more confident abt travelling with friends so i WILL drag my equally spontaneous uni friends to budapest as soon as i can. (please tell me they speak at least a little english there)
