Okay, think I might've(?) decided. Or at the very least ruled some things out. This blog isn't going to be a long-term account for this specific group of ocs + storylines/AUs. It's just not feasible doing this on a sideblog on my personal account. I'm not sure if I'm moving everyone to gxldensxldiers yet, just because there isn't much of a 'link' outside of the BlackCell AU and Arthur, but it is a strong possibility.

Whatever happens, things will continue on as normal here for a while until I decide and it'll stay up as a sort of 'archive'.

Sorry but I think you’re being super negative about the whole “Rachel Presents” announcement.

Rick Riordan is a white author who is passionate about mythology. After Greek mythology and briefly going into egyptology, he used his influence to give People of color a chance to write modern mythology stories from their own culture and experiences—and most importantly he stayed in his lane.

I think Rachel choosing to step back and give other people a voice is a great outcome, considering you guys all joked about how horrific it would be if she tried to appropriate another culture in her next series.

You also said she should have given LO to another creator who had the passion and dicipline to finish for her. That’s ESSENTIALLY what she’s going to be doing with RP. Maybe her true calling is just…being an Idea guy. She has wonderful concepts and cool ideas, but lacks commitment. In this scenario, we could end up with super amazing stories, with proper editing from Random house and proper commitment from new creators. I don’t really see the issue here, everyone wins.

(And lots of authors do the whole “___ presents” format. I don’t think she deliberately copied RR. Most likely her books sales did well and Penguin House approached her with this offer.)

lmao what? I was against the folks saying she should give it to another creator. I don't think not liking the series should mean she's obligated to "give it to someone else." The series is hers and so it's her responsibility to finish it. I do think she should have ended it a long time ago or if she was really miserable making it then she should step away, but she shouldn't be giving it to someone else to finish for her just because "boo you suck at writing your own comic". She started this, she should finish it.

And this is literally her doing exactly that - appropriating other cultures - with extra steps. Just instead of being on the front lines with her own work, she's sponsoring other works based on her own bar for quality (which we know is EXTREMELY low) and slapping her name on them so she can take a "backseat". It's really icky to see from a creator who practically failed upwards and is now using "herself" as a selling point, when she has no real legitimacy outside of LO, which was only as successful as it was because of WT constantly sinking money into it and advertising it over other series on the platform (and because it's based off a story that was VERY popular to romanticize at the time, the H x P myth. Like it was literally what was popular on Tumblr when it started as a hobby comic on Tumblr.)

I'm outlining all of these posts with "speculation" because obviously I don't know what's really going on behind the scenes here, but I think it's really disingenuous of Rachel to sell herself as some top tier brand name for mythological works as a whole when she's caused so much actual harm to the Greek myth community and its sources. It's furthering the notion that she has any credibility as a "folklorist" when really she just pulls whatever comes off the front page of Google. And the similarities between herself and Rick Riordan do matter here because of how commonplace it is these days for Rachel to rip off other works rather than take inspiration and make it into something that's organically her own.

That's my two cents. It's not me trying to be "negative", it's me being genuinely concerned over the blatant appropriation from a white woman gaining even more control over the depictions of cultures and mythologies that she claims she's educated on and isn't. Unlike Rick Riordan, Rachel does not have any formal education in the subject she's claiming to be educated about. Unlike Rick Riordan, Rachel allows her fanbase to use her work as a source on Greek myth and she obfuscates the line between "fiction" and "fact". Rick Riordan started Rick Riordan Presents after he had multiple hits under his belt that were celebrated and loved. Rachel is starting Rachel Smythe Presents after a one hit wonder that could be chalked up to a total fluke that wasn't even able to go out with a bang.

Rick Riordan writes fictional stories inspired by Greek myth for children. Rachel is writing fictional stories claiming to be "retellings" of Greek myth - and now other mythologies if the implications of this project follow through - for adults. It's disingenuous and it frankly deserves to be paid attention to and called out.

I do genuinely want to see creators given an avenue to monetize their work and that's why I think the thought of it is nice, but any amount of further digging just makes this feel like a grift that will lead young and inexperienced creators down a path that won't benefit them (or take advantage of them) due to the blatant lack of care and management exhibited by Rachel over the past 5 years. Just because Rachel had one massive hit that lined her pockets for years does NOT qualify her to be a titan of the industry. Not by a long shot.

To quote Super Eyepatch Wolf,

"Let's say you decide you want to become a carpenter, and particularly, how to build a nice chair. Think about the kind of person you'd want to learn that skill from - would it be from someone who's built nice chairs every day for 30 years, or would it be the guy who built ONE nice chair 5 years ago out of a special kind of wood that doesn't exist anymore, who has NO experience with the kind of wood available to you now?"

EDIT to add: it was more likely Rachel's representative, Britt Seiss who landed this deal for her, not Penguin House themselves. That's what agents are for.

EDIT EDIT: this is ALL assuming she even FOLLOWS THROUGH with this project, because god knows the only reason LO has even gone on as long as it has was because she was being held responsible via a contract, she's NOTORIOUSLY bad for committing to things and has even admitted to it in interviews. She barely even works on LO as it is. Spring of 2024 could roll around and this project could entirely fizzle out. Again, not me trying to be a negative nancy here, I'm just stating my own concerns based on what we all know about Rachel at this point and how she operates.

ahhh the day has finally come. after 4 years, 4 months, and 8 days with jaesun, i've decided that my time at lgc (and tumblr rping in general) has come to an end. i honestly never expected to be rping for this long on this platform but i think i've finally come to terms with leaving. it's been a lot of fun, and lgc honestly made the crazy pandemic days much more bearable. however, i've barely had time to sign on ever since i started my new job last year, and when i do have a moment to myself, i can only bring myself to do one reply a week which isn't really sustainable for growing a muse. it's certainly not easy to say goodbye which is why i've been procrastinating.

with that said, thank you to all the members, old and new, for being a part of this group. thank you for writing and plotting with me and my muses. ❤️

to my admin team: y'all do so much work behind the scenes and i applaud each and every one of you for the dedication that you bring to this space. without them, this rp would have shut down a long time ago 🫂

name/nickname: Charlie age: 31 pronouns : they / them years of writing : I've always written really. I wrote a book when I was 11 and handed it to my teacher on a floppy disk. Before that I wrote short skits for camp competitions. At secondary I wrote poetry and fell onto the MSN rp pipeline, then tumblr was a quick progression after that and here I am still.

why did you pick up writing? it was a natural progression. I was an avid reader at school, developed an interest in creative writing as I've always been more inclined to the wordcraft than any other kind of creative hobby, though cosplay did change that slightly. But it was the fascination with being able to craft my own story and tell my own adventures. And then that's what led to me becoming a DM djdskfjhd

do you have any writing routines? if I'm writing a lot of things I'll put on an upbeat playlist and my headphones so that I can focus my attention on writing. If I'm flicking back to a character I haven't written in a while I'll play a cutscene or clip of them to hear their voice and get myself back into that frame, and generally I like to make lists of things I need to write and cross them off where I can.

what's your favorite part about writing? the ability to explore characters in creative ways. I enjoy going beyond the story we are given to see what I think happens off the page, how they continue to interact even if the curtain falls, who they relate to, where their interest falls and how their lives might be different if they met different people.

three things you like about your writing .

one, Dialogue. I think that I'm pretty good at capturing the tone of voice, the manner of speech that a character uses and how verbose they can be. Whether that's someone like Kirishima who is very energentic and bold or someone more like Ningguang who has a level of understatement, or even someone like Jack Rackham who I sometimes just end up telling myself to shut up over because his voice just keeps going.

two, I'm ripping this one straight from Lauri, but my ability to portray a vast array of characters. I've tried solo blogs in the past and I get bored thinking about one personality and feel limited. I enjoy picking up threads of different chracters lives and pulling apart their characteristics to find what makes them tick. To understand them. And I think I'm pretty good at showing the differences between the characters found here from the really central canon characters to the minor NPCs.

three, I like that my writing is accessible if that makes sense. It's not overly descriptive so that the meaning risks getting lost but it also isn't substanceless (or at least I like to think so). I applaud anyone who can write like it came out of an old literature novel, it's stunning, and I love reading it myself. Personally I just like the understated approach, and I enjoy that most people can engage with it without too much difficulty.

what do you find the most difficult to write (eg dialogue)? I find the most difficult thing to write is keeping my mind on the surroundings and setting more of the scene. I tend to keep my focus very central and inward, on the character, their thoughts and feelings, their actions and not so much painting more of a picture beyond that.

My Tavs!

I've been lurking on BG3 tumblr for a while, but I wanted to finally make a proper post showing off my characters! I've got a couple of campaigns going on, and I'm always looking to make new characters and explore different playstyles and think of fun lore. It's been so awesome to connect with other members of the community too, namely @basketobread's gorgeous mind and OC's, creator our best girl Lunara!

Without further ado, here is my first Tav Tal'riia!

I had originally named her Karliah after the legendary archer of the nightingales in Skyrim, but then got annoyed that her name was too similar to Karlach's, so I changed it. I usually run rogues or clerics in my irl dnd campaigns, so again she was originally a rogue but then quickly realized Astarion was a rogue too so.... to make more sense having him in my party all the time, I changed her class to ranger and holy hell was that sick as FUCK. I made her strong type at first so she gives off femme himbo vibes (lovable loser rizz) because GOD I missed like half of the content in my first run.

She is a Seladrine Drow Ranger!! Honestly haven't thought much of her personal lore because I just went for what I thought sounded super awesome to me off rip. I don't have any pictures of her in scene, because I just didn't think to take more tbh and I wasn't super proud of many of my choices and the things I missed in my excitement to finish the game asap to then.... start my next run!

Which brings us to my next two OC's, a re-run of Tal'riia's story and my first Durge Muerta! I... ended up deleting my first campaign and ran a whole do-over, since like I said, I felt increasingly dumb as time went on and after consuming more and more bg3 content online, I realized just how much I had missed in my first campaign.... SO brings us to a re-realized Tal'riia with a different skillset and playstyle. I went for sorcerer/tempest cleric, because I had heard how strong that build was, and with the cheats ring I got from the basket equipment mod, I had a lot of fun playing around. I've got a couple pics of her here:

Of course had to also start my first Durge Run, which I chose to go a good route (I'm too nice even in rp to go full evil, but idk, I might try it soon!) and I decided to run an eldrich fighter Durge because I feel fighter makes more sense of a chosen of Bhaal than a sorcerer? But idk that's just me. Here's Muerta!

I actually have such an unhealthy obsession with her Muerta Half Wood-Elf Eldrich Knight Fighter (Yes the lightning jabber build) Heart of gold, little murder-y at times, but ultimately does resist her Urges. What's a little murder between friends!! Red rum is my drink of choice at a bar! POV: Durge is also casually your bff. Honestly pretty normal. Just don't meet the parents...... or the sister.

I'll share my next campaign in a separate post here. This campaign I'm running based on my dnd character I'm playing in an irl campaign with friends! I made our whole party in the character selection screen, but only moved forward with my character because.... there's only so many unfinished adventures I can have lol.

Looking for Contact: Maha Lucrette | Mateus

Tentatively putting some feelers out there for potential RP. I'm kinda shy and anxious in general, but I love writing Maha and I tend to get into a groove with her. I'm currently in the GMT +9 timezone, typically more active in the morning over the evening, weekday over weekend, but it varies. I prefer to RP in game over other mediums like tumblr or discord- I just like having the visuals around (and don't like giving out my discord to people I'm not familiar with.)

Some things to note:

- I am an adult and open to RPing dark/horror themes, all that is good with me. My only hard nos are extremely detailed torture/gore scenes and sexual violence. - On that note, I am not looking for anything sexual or even romantic. Flirting is NBD, but it wont go anywhere with my character. - When RPing, I try really hard to focus on my partner(s), especially if there are a lot of people around, but chances are I might miss your post anyway, so just give me a gentle nudge if I'm slow to respond. - I am not looking for a free company. However, if you've got an RP linkshell, I'd love to be a part of it (provided it fits the scope of my character!) - Adventure and exploration RPs are my favorites. Maha's not a traditional Keeper, and is somewhat well-traveled, so she is up for a good variety of things! - I am often a package deal with Lithen, so if you get Maha, you'll probably get her too (should time allow it!)

- Maha was born in the Shroud to a nomadic clan of Lyehga keepers. Though her clan moved around a lot, chances are they met with others in passing. They also attended yearly meets to discuss hunting grounds, news, and trade with other clans. Maha left her own clan at the ripe age of thirteen, and has not traveled with them since. But she might have met with other young keepers at the time, or even the adults. She was an odd child, fond of collecting weird, dead things from the forest that might have shocked or disturbed other kids. - Maha hopped ships to Thavnair to escape the Coeurlclaws murderous intent, following a nasty incident that took place back when she was still involved with them. She was taken in by an alchemist who had recently lost his own family, and trained in the ways of Hannish alchemy. She grew up in relative comfort in Radz-at-Han, and had most likely crossed paths with residents and visitors of the splendorous city during those days. Though she picked up a few new hobbies, she was most recognizable for her unique blends and tinctures, surviving off the knowledge gained from her days with her clan. - Ten-some odd years later, Maha finally returns to Aldenard and obtains permissions to open a small potions stall in Ul'dah's Sapphire Avenue. Her shop was usually open during later hours, from afternoon to midnight, and featured brews unique to keeper culture and tradition. She spent a couple years in Ul'dah, earning her keep before finally moving on. She was no doubt a common sight in Sapphire Avenue, as well as near the Goldsmith's, Weaver's, and Alchemist's guilds. - To this day, Maha lives in the Twelveswood, in a remote sanctuary in the forest she has made all her own. Her treehouse is warded against ne'er-do-wells with psychedelic, gaseous traps- only the worthy are given the correct directions to her home. She lives here in defiance of both the Coeurlclaws and her birth clan, proving that she can withstand the demands of the forest by her own merit. Those given proper directions to her home may find a shelter from the wilds, a den of rest and relaxation, as well as a store of curios and potions to strengthen the mind and body. - However, Maha is not limited solely to her corner of the wood. She travels every now and again, and can be sighted all over Eorzea, mainly visiting cities for local fare, attending parties thrown to the public, and vacationing with her wife, Lithen. Her hobbies vary wildly- she even did a brief stint as a performer for a couple of venues, before she decided she wanted to do something else with her time. She also really loves the Gold Saucer. There are a number of possibilities in which one could have encountered Maha in the wild.

I'm somewhat new to Tumblr, but not new to RP. I've come to look for more RP partners that have Discord, as that's my preferred app. Exclusively looking for Female characters for MxF ships!

For a lil more info about me personally, I go by HT, I'm a Black writer (which will be reflected in my characters), my timezone's EST, and you can refer to me (as well as my characters) with he/him/his.

Now, to give you a better idea of the things I like and how I do things, my plots, and my Discord handle...

I like RPs where we don't jump into smut immediately and where it's not the only thing we're doing. Obviously I'm into smut and it's what all my RPs have in common, but I'm also into romance, drama, slice-of-life, action, adventure, stuff like that. Potentially scifi, fantasy, and fandom stuff as well, but it highly depends. Preference for modern/realistic scenes though!

My limits are RRP/noncon/dubcon/free-use/hypnosis/vore/inflation/hyper/snuff/sex toys/receiving assplay/being called "sir/master"/drunk sex/high sex/sleepy sex/sweat/ABDL/body swapping/armpit stuff. As for my kinks, I'm open to pretty much anything else, unless I'm forgetting some things? I should specify that I'm a Switch, so I can Dom and Sub, no preference!

When it comes to roles, I'm not too picky, as long as our characters bounce off each other well and have a fun dynamic I'm cool. I do enjoy enemies-to-lovers stuff, the opposites-attract trope, bickering, just general playful banter and all that, but of course I'm more than happy to dive into other things as well! Do lemme know whatever plots/roles/ideas you got in mind, I love brainstorming and talking things out!

And one more pertinent bit of info about me, is that I don't use FCs for my characters. You're more than welcome to use them for yours, but personally I'm way too indecisive and like having the freedom of fully customizing my characters to my liking. So I use written descriptions.

slightly mama mia inspired , taking place in greece , a group of friends are reunited for their friends wedding . this would be a skeleton group , each friend having pre - established connections to one another that will for sure bring some drama forward and help provide plot & character development .

a group of musicians embark on a summer tour , each of them either in a band / group / or a solo artist . locations would change as they tour around the world .

small town with very fleshed out locations , town history , and tight - knit friend group . elements could be added to make the plot have more to it . such as rival groups in town , the group had a friend disappear , they were all at the scene of a crime , ect . we could come up with something together to give the simple plot a little something more !

a cruise rp , either all rich / celebs filming a reality show while aboard or just normal ole' friends who promised each other a big trip .

slightly inspired by miss peregrine's home for peculiar children , this plot would include some supernatural elements . a group of peculiars , people with powers , have been living in the same town for years in peace until suddenly it seems they're being tracked down by a skilled , unknown hunter . or a boys inspired rp , again humans with powers but more grounded in reality . i've never really done a supernatural / superhuman group before but i think it could be really fun and there are so many different routes to go down

rich kids / celeb rp with a secret society aspect .

I waited a bit since I have a pretty high rate of people who follow for a little while and drop off but it appears I have firmly reached the 1,500 follower mark and ummhh~~ just wowww~

I'm so continuously flattered at all of your loves~ you're all sooo wonderfully amazing and sweet and supportive. When my previous tumblr was flagged into the ground ~ just short of this very milestone ~ I was absolutely crestfallen. I started my tumblr to share the gifs I was making from my favorite tickle videos.

And while those did get a lot of reblogs (I still squeak in delight when I see one of my old posts circulating), I found something I loved even more after I thought about what the ask box could be used for instead of just requesting things.

When I first started sneaking around the various tickle communities I was finding myself looking at the outside into tickle scenes. People were always hiding away in their private RP sessions or having public tickle fights without allowing anyone else to partake.

No one was keeping me out of any community, but I also wasn't feeling welcome either. There wasn't much of an entry level way, as if one needed to build a requisite amount of social credit in order to get tickles and then it was hoping you'd get the tickles you wanted by having to work up the courage to ask someone to play.

Soo~ I became the change I wanted to see. I wanted tickles to be for anyone and everyone, no barrier for entry no requirements ~ just package your cute request up anonymously and I'll send back all the tickles I can, tailored to you~

What started as a fun little thing between gif posts became the main focus of my tumblr so quickly. I was absolutely elated, and still am, that anyone would enjoy my silly words~ I figured the asks would dry up after a few months but they started coming far faster than I could answer.

I went from having a bunch of silent followers who liked and reblogged my gifs to a little community of lovelies with all these threads of stories in an adorable pocket world.

And then it was all yanked out from my hands~ despite me going back through and removing every gif or image post I had made with nudity or anything slightly adult oriented, my tumblr was continuously flagged after the policy change. Things like me posting a picture of my pink dress started getting flagged too. Most of my followers wouldn't see my posts and new followers couldn't find me or easily browse my page.

Worst of all, they locked me out of my inbox. 350 asks that I can't access. It breaks my heart still to see that.

There was no point in continuing. I decided to start over, and that I would only do stories and teases to avoid any flagging and also to enjoy what I loved most ~ connecting and being silly and giggly with this amazing gorgeous community. I would have been so happy with 100 followers.

So~ just wooww~

I can't say much else but how much I love you all and love so much that you all still come around to partake in my silly giggly menagerie here~<3

Hello! :D This is my first time doing something like this, but I'm also pretty new to Tumblr in general, so! I'm a 23-year-old writer with 13+ years of RP experience looking to do some RP in the Ouran High School Host Club fandom. It's my first time RPing in the anime fandom in a hot minute, so I'm excited to connect with a friendo OOC and nerd out over dumb headcanons between replies—which I like to think I'm pretty quick with when I'm really immersed in a scene. I want to do some double-up (I hope I'm using that word right??) FxM OCxCC roleplay, but I'm also open to non-romance RP with my OC. I'm highly literate and can sometimes pop out entire novella posts. However, I prefer RPing over Discord since I'm still just getting my feet wet on the Tumblr scene. I like to plan things ahead in canon (though AUs are a possibility in the future) when it comes to RP, but it doesn't have to be a book outline kind of plan, and I don't mind the occasional grammar or spelling error; I'm just personally (no shaming here) into one/two liners. ^^ I write in the third person and would prefer my counterpart do the same. Regarding story themes, almost anything goes since I'm not easily triggered. I love romance, slow burn, fluff, found family, hurt/comfort, trauma, angst, dark themes, etc.!
