I've been thinking about it a lot, and there really aren't any cold based classes in dnd. I think it would be very interesting to have a cold themed warlock a very cool patron in my mind would be Auril the titular character from Icewindale Rime of the Frostmaiden.

Played DnD for the 9th time today

We got Dougan's Bear (Dougan's hole) by literally just asking for it from its speaker and paying the off. For 10 gold we got an entire town!

Then, a human made dragon was sent to attack 10 towns. After burning 1.5 of them down we defeated it. We defeated a dragon in canonically 18 seconds (3 turns) by me and Ra Ra Rasputin summoning 2 bears each, Elsa using necromancy to summon 5 zombies, and the Paladin summoning a panther from his gray swag bag.

Then, out of the 6/10 towns we didn't control, gave the bear regime control. The bear regime is now in control of Eight And a Half Towns (Ten Towns). I am head of communications, Elsa is the treasury with her Avarice, and Paladin is of course, general.

We are doing the Icewindale campaign but our GM wants to make changes to adjust it to her own storyline ( @morganebouguen is our great gm!)

Sighard is a paladin of Tyr that grew up in the Icewind Dale region with his mother, helping her with her reindeer farm. He loves carving and sculpting wood and his dream his to become a knight 🌟

After travelling through Faerun for a few years in order to become a great paladin knight like his late father, he came back shamefully to his childhood home without giving any explanations. And now Auril's terrible curse has locked the whole region from the rest of the world and the night is eternal.

Nowadays he has been recruited alongside my fellow player's characters, Grim, a young changeling barbarian raised as an orc who discovered their true origin only a few days ago, Plaqk our weird shape shifting druid who lives outside the city gates and Dweomer, a living armor and a Lathandre cleric, and an old friend of Sighard! (They met each other when Sighard was travelling, they became friends as they were working on a case about children becoming zombies in a small town).

I have had a very strong artblock for a few years and he has inspired me so so much !

They figured after a bit that she is on the roof, so Mickael boosts Meg up. Meg sees Elia and begins to comfort her. Mickael does the same… as soon as he gets on the roof.

thoughts from my icewindale session that happened like two weeks back. I just need to put this down somewhere because this has been getting to me pretty bad for a while now. Readmore for reasons of a long post, and nsfw conversations about a brothel specifically.

So I want to make it clear that this reaction from him was not due to a lack of wanting sexual stuff. I want to make that extremely clear. He set up this place and described things with a broad brush but has never shyed away from showing sex and sexual things before. We're all still in our 20s, etc. I mean hell we were there to try and find someone, and one of the players (tabaxi) who was trying to skirt around the sexual stuff was given the opportunity Twice to be an unnoticed vouyer and each time when she refused he described a bit more and asked again, and after that he'd cut it off (and she was not uncomfortable i want to clear that up too) but I'm saying that he wasn't trying to steer our party away from these things at all, and almost encouraged the rest of the party (druid tabaxi (female), druid "self-described MILF" satyr (female)) to participate. I mean the satyr got hit on for godsakes, rightfully so but still. But my character (male tiefling) gets no passing glances or even acknowledged by anyone there but the one npc we knew from before (who was accidentally there and still barely acknowledged celenos), and the mistress who immediately went to threats of death and the "soul-searcher" thing once he tried to show his preference in men over women (who also showed 0 signs of aggression before I want to make that very clear). Oh yeah and then it panned over to a chick who was passed out who had "Soul Searcher" drawn in big letters across her chest. What the fuck am I supposed to do with that man. A? A, what the fuck did you mean by this? And how the hell is my character supposed to react to that? My character, the romantic pseudo-bard, who I had told you before is usually heavily tied to exploring romance and sexuality, who is still trying to figure out if he likes men or not (he does and only likes men), and who's taking this event as a sign from lthander that he's wrong for wanting that and doesn't want to he humiliated as a "soul searcher", who I chose for this campaign because everyone in this campaign is some shade of gay or trans and I knew you all would be okay with that stuff because I Don't Get To Do This Side Of Celenos Ever. Despite having played Celenos for 4 iterations now.

Anyway. I'm done. I hope I never have to talk to him about this ever because I know whatever he meant I'm blowing this way the fuck out of proportion, and that thirty minute conversation was probably some fucking bit I'm not getting as usual, and though I don't know his reasons I have no right to be uncomfortable with things the DM does or says if I am still enjoying the campaign, and honestly it'd make me extremely uncomfortable and I just kinda hope no one questions why celenos now has stopped flustering or making any form of romantic advances despite that being a core part of his identity.

outside of historical sims gameplay I do a lot of fantasy stuff. I know it might be hard or impossible since no ones done it before. but I'm honestly so tempted to start working on a D&D-inspired fantasy save for TS4. I'd have to work on locations and stuff sucks there's no snow-only area in TS4 cause that would be icewindale for sure. Glimmerbrook could be the faewild.

Played DnD for the 5th time today. Ra Ra Rasputin has taken control over 2 towns in one session. Elsa, Rasputin, and our Paladin gaslighted a witch into believing that they were bears. We had to defeat an ice giant in 2 rounds, or else it would one shot us all, and I cast entanglement which gave us another round, allowing us to defeat it. We got a cauldron of plenty from the witch. We can now feed an entire town per day. (360 meals)
