i`m starting to feel the opposite of delight towards dark academia. how come every aesthetic board sound so clinically not genuine. who tf studies with a glass of wine ON THE BOOK. like. the book. under the glass. of wine. or study with a single cinnamonroll and a little cup of coffee.

honestly i think these are made by people who don`t study often or simply don`t know how to study at all.

i may be completely wrong about this statement, but studying is messy. youre searching for inputs to input in your brain and this is inherently messy. youre changing what your brain knows or adding even more information to the neural MESS of particles in there. and i think that this is the most beautiful part of it.

id rather feel like chaos is more genuine in study blogs than rebloging and engaging simple boards that dont feel like the process of getting knowledge at all. and all this image that i see recently about strudying is kinda messed up to me.

like, yes, if you buy cute paper and pens you may feel more motivated to study, that`s a fact, but studying, learning, is not all about the aesthetics. and my study routine improved a LOT when i realized that.

if you study because its visually aesthetic youll end up giving up when it`s hard. although when you study because you think the subject is amusing, delighting, pleasing and gives you joy, now thats a good reason.

i also feel like internet and social media in general has made everything into aesthetics. ive been through the 'need to romanticize everything or else i'll go nuts' but thats definitely not the way. internet and aesthetics wont make you get better at the subject you like or need to go through in any form.

trying, getting things wrong, getting fucking pissed at it, cursing your teachers family, THATS how you learn. were human. we`re made of flesh and ugliness above all. not everything will be prettiness. the prettiness comes from finally getting the knowledge you've been searching for in a human way. with all the rights and wrongs. the uglies too.

Something abt g.uzma is that it's soooo easy to find non shipping posts for him. Like with oswald I can genuinely say like 90% of posts with him are shipping posts, but with g.uzma it's not NEARLY as bad. Like yeah there are some, but I can go through p.okemon blogs and not see a single one, whereas every single got.ham blog has at least 5 oswald ship posts

Like I know p.okemon is a lot bigger than got.ham, plus the content of the media is a lot different (with got.ham having a lot of romance centered stuff in canon with most characters, not just oswald) but I wish people could think without their shipping brain for one second. Oswald is literally like shipping fodder to them, I've seen him paired with nearly every major character, even women. It's like to the fandom he only exists as a silly, pathetic little gayboy who needs a man

I dont even think it's ironic of me to say this as a self shipper, because I don't just see oswald as my boyfriend and the guy I ship with, he's his own person and his own character and he's very interesting on his own!! morty v-37 - basically gets used as a human shield and then promptly left for dead by his previous rick(which is why hes got the scar and prosthetics), y-4441 finds him and fixes him up + erases his memories of the whole nearly dying thing. he’s pretty chillaxed and a bit more cynical than an average morty, more “rickish” i guess idk. tends to be skeptical, likes poking holes in rick’s arguments/inventions etc etc but like in a teasing way

rick y-4441 - very peppy, upbeat and emotional. he kind of reeaalllyyy dislikes the cfc and stays away from it as much as possible, especially after finding and unofficially adopting v-37. he’s not as tech savvy as most rick’s, his abilities are more akin to s1 rick’s skill level? as in, he lives off of scraps of materials and creative solutions, less god-like and more “old man in garage who happens to know physics and chemistry”. loves to ramble about basically anything and happily indulges in morty’s hypotheticals/questions whatever. EXCEPT! for why morty doesnt have his fingers he shuts that topic down immediately just does not want to deal with that can of worms at allll

ouuu thank you 🥺❤️ its not really an au, its more like my interpretation of a continuation to the embrace the void ending!! :D I think most people are not aware that she canonically doesnt die, and take the ending at face value.... its kind of hard to explain for me since even i am not 100% sure what exactly happens lol but i like to think that theyre perpetually linked or fused together in some weird way. and i feel that this result is pretty intentional from both sides.

Godseeker mentions that they seek gods to "clutch at their greatness and immortality", which i assume that with 'clutch' she means that these traits would be shared with the Godseekers through the "Godly focus" thing. And the knight, besides the fact that it proved its strenght against the local strongest beings, it posesses (via the Void Heart) the void under its will, which is literally said to be an "eternal" force that "denies time", ie immortal.

and this union of sorts would be beneficial for the knight as well, as it can go into Holy Beast mode at just about anytime it wants, which is a really awesome powerup if u ask me. That and also (in my headcanon) it does like her. very much :-)

yeah fair enough! i mean idk i feel like i tend to be pretty brutal in my takes in general, but like i obviously do love taylor and i have for years (i've literally written multiple essays defending debut on this blog) -- i think she consistently releases some great stuff, and to that end, i really do think there is some really good stuff on this album. (for example i think the black dog is one of her best breakup songs in a while, and i think the melody in but daddy i love him is absolutely spectacular.)

i think my beef with this album in particular is mainly that i feel like it's just the culmination of every marketing technique that worked on the last few albums (no lead single, releasing a bunch of vinyl variants, extra songs dropping after the midnight release, etc.) such that it's honestly soured my opinion on it as a work of ART -- because the album feels so conscious of itself as a PRODUCT. so when i say half the album is unnecessary it's not to say i think all the songs are bad, but that i think it's just exemplary of putting profit over artistic integrity and it just rubs me the wrong way. but that's just me! i mean i've seen plenty of people with alternate opinions on the number of songs, i think i just feel cynical about it because to me it's so blatant BECAUSE of the way the last several albums were marketed (you'll notice she hasn't released a lead single since fearless tv. and it's because it boosts first day streams... i'm not criticizing it as a tactic, like go off taylor, but it just annoys me on principle)

but idk. i mean i do think she's brilliant -- i think there's always some amazing stuff on the albums. my issue is that ever since lover, i've felt like the albums are just... a bit unfocused? (except FOLKLORE!!) so i feel frustrated with all her recent releases, because i just want them to be a little tighter, the imagery a little cleaner, the lyrics just a little more polished. like, it's all IN THERE! she really is that good!! it's just bogged down with the rest of... everything else.
