Found it was World Watercolor Month rather late in the moth (July is almost over, Krys, aaaaaa!) and though I won't participating through the rest of the month, I did feel inspired today and did some watercolorings to celebrate in my own little way

Above is my Belle, Clara, and Clavis quoting a line from Hamilton that's stuck in my head forever (even though I haven't seen Hamilton, for shame on me)

(as usual, this gorgeous banner was made by our wonderfully talented @sunnyikemen)

This has been quite a long time coming, but I am excited to announce that @sunnyikemen and I are planning the next Ikemen Fandom Gift Exchange!

This time it will be for Ikémen Prince, and I cannot be more thrilled to finally release the sign up sheet for this event.

You can sign up here

The deadline to submit your answers will be due on September 27, two weeks and a few days from today (September 10) - if you’re interested in joining, please make sure to get your answers completed and sent in before then. You can edit your sign up form after it’s been submitted, but please make sure to let one of the hosts know you’ve done that, as we do not get notified when that happens and we want to make sure everyone’s happy with up to date information being shared out. Once the deadline passes, we will turn off the link to edit or submit so if you have any problems after then, please contact a host directly.

Just like before (and if you haven't joined before, here's the information for you!!), once we get everyone’s information organized and sorted, we will be reaching out to everyone individually on October 6 to let you know who you’ve been assigned to as well as how long you have to create the project and everything to know about the due date.

Please note before signing up that we do have a Discord server we’d like everyone to join. We’d love for all the participants (us included!) to get to know one another and work together and potentially help each other out within the event. We also have some fun bots to play with such as a Jukebox and Marriage Hunter!

Hey, I'm rambling about IkePri again

Okay, I just need to get these thoughts I have about Gilbert von Obsidian out because I enjoy predicting stuff and overthinking design and narrative choices even tho they might not be right. :P But there really isn't that much predicting other than me overthinking about narrative and design choices. This time there will be most likely spoilers of Gilbert's route so far, and route of Clavis and some thoughts I have just gathered while playing the game in general. I try to put these thoughts in cohesive order, but well... I don't know if I can really, because I just need to get these out of my head. These are my thoughts, ramblings and opinions. Feel free to form your own and certainly disagree with me! I apologize about the lack of art in this post. I'm busy with work currently so no fanart for a while. I'm also not native English speaker, so there might be grammatical errors and such. Sorry about that. Everything under the cut.

To start with Ikemen Prince is a romance visual novel first and foremost. That doesn't mean it can't be deep (and it certainly has been deeper than I initially expect, which left me positively surprised). I suppose there is somesort of thematic vibe that there is no prince whose ideals are the main thesis of the game itself. But that also kinda leaves that fact there is no huge catharsis regarding the world and it's state. Everything so far has been left quite open. And the more I have learned about lore of the world, I really feel like anti-monarchist here xd Clavis really sold me the idea for real. Or atleast throw away the absolute monarchy. That's where I think things should go, but that's my own belief. (really, the last king of Rhodolite... He umm... I have some opinions.) Chevalier and Gilbert First things first: I don't hate or dislike Chevalier as a character. There are just some things that give me Deus Ex Machina feels. But I know it is what they are going for with him. This genius that so far ahead of everyone that it is so alien concept to rest of the people. And well that is a very hard concept to pull off without being a genius yourself as a writer. Or that is what I feel like. But what I do love is what the writers are doing with him and Gilbert in thematic sense! (Hence why Chev x Gilbert sounds so juicy to me)

I really took steps to the deep end as I started to think about why I have enjoyed Gilbert's route or was interested in his story to begin with, but have little interest in trying Chev's one. Because they are so similar but they really aren't.

How I would describe it is that where as Clavis is the complementary to Chev, the purple to his yellow, the emotionality vs rationality, the heart vs the brain, Gilbert is more like right brain to Chev's left brain. If it makes sense like that xd Their color schemes are harmonious. Not opposite. Almost like how Nokto and Licht's color schemes are harmonious with each others.

(Nokto (Blue + white + gold) vs Licht (Blue + black + gold)) Not to mention that their names clearly are meant to mean light and dark. (Licht: variant for light, Nokto: comes form latin nox or noctis, meaning night = dark) But that is a rambling for another time.) Both their crests are tigers. White and black tiger. Chev's color scheme is White + gold and black. Whereas Gilbert's is Black + gold and white. But then the overall color that game devs use to signal about the characters baffles me a bit. Gold/Yellow vs Black/dark red. They don't seem to have too much connection or that of which comes to my mind quickly and without digging deeper. (because I believe that if you dig deep enough, you have digged yourself into a trap of overthinking about things. (Justifying things because you want to justify them, which I'm not big fan of. And sometimes things don't need meaning and we have to live with that. As much as it pains my overthinker brain.)) But here is my impressions about Gilbert so far. I'm at the point where MC has left the Clavis's party (I loved it btw). Gilbert really does give me toxic INFJ villain feels, but let's not get too hang up on terms such as that. But he is someone who is driven forth by his own ideals and desire to change the world better. He, like Clavis, seems to cloak himself in this idea that he is the villain and is okay, even happy, to take that role. He is the one who, like Chevalier, has thrown away emotional attachment out of the window (or so they say) unlike Clavis who makes his choices based more on emotion rather than rational thinking. Maybe that's why I like Clavis and Gilbert, they push MC out of their black and white thinking. That things are not so easy peezy as "choose a right king and everyone will be happy". There will always be someone who is mad about it. That's why I really loved the scene with Gilbert with the orphaned kids and the Clavis's party. He seems to enjoy the company of children (who are not morally corrupted or tainted) and he really empathically listens to those who are angry. He believes in the idea that "no one remembers what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel". (A quote with debatable origin, people say that it was coined by Maya Angelou. But I really love this quote, because I think it is the truth.) Gilbert isn't trying to rationalize against someone's choices with pure intellect. He uses empathy to guide him to the most rational outcome in that emotional scope. But he also uses this to manipulate people with fear. He uses fear extensively and he does it actively. Where as I feel like Chev just has that aura about him automatically. Hence my next thought: Action vs Stasis!

Gilbert and Clavis are action oriented. They shake the gameboard, they make the first moves. Gilbert probably more than Clavis. They both want change. Is it change for the better, we will see, I still haven't finished Gilbert's route but he really gives me this "I'm willing to become the greatest threat so that people unite to defeat me." or "I will conquer all so there will no longer be wars.". Chev, on the other hand, symbolizes stasis. His goal is to keep the kingdom of Rhodolite going. That's his duty and he is willing to take it. (even tho we can debate if that is something he really really believes in or even thinks about that much. I feel like it is out of obligation rather than of personal ideal. But alas, I have not played Chev's route yet.) Chev is reactive rather than proactive. He waits for the opponent to make the first move and reacts accordingly. (I'm not saying he is not reactive once game is on. More like "if there was not threat to deal with, he wouldn't create one".)

Chev doesn't care what you think about him. Gilbert does. He might seem like he doesn't but he is really there to prove a point. (I will pick up his dislike for lying later >.>) Chev is not. Chev knows that his way is the right way for him and that is enough for him. Chev also actively makes a "gettaway plan" for himself in Clavis. He knows that Clavis is the final thread that keeps him from going overboard because he understand that he has to be blind for "individual people" aspect to be a good ruler. Gilbert probably understands this about himself too, but he is trying to prove a point. So he needs to go overboard. Because masses of people need absolutes to react to. If it is something banal, it won't do. His evil actions need to shake the very foundation of ideas. The people have to face those things head on and see it for themselves. They cannot be sheltered. Gilbert gives me the vibes that he is willing to sacrifice himself not for the kingdom, but for the betterment of all mankind. He is happy to become the villain #1 if that means that other people will rise and take down the corrupted Obsidian or the corrupted idea. I would say that he is Lawful Good going on about things like Lawful Evil.

Gilbert asking questions means that he wants you to think, he wants to challenge your opinions and how you look at the world. Same as Clavis. They yearn for change. They want to change the world. Where as Chev wants to maintain things as they are. Chev "If it is not broken, we don't need to fix it" Michel. Where as Clavis and Gilbert want to improve the system. They are idealistic. Gilbert and lying

This is something very interesting. At first I thought that he was all "I dislike when people lie to me." but he really is "I dislike lying in all its forms." And he does say that he doesn't lie. And I'm starting to believe that is really the case. All the things he says are true. But because how other people see him, they are suspicious anyway. Like MC is. Like we all probably are when we start the route and think "So what is your trauma, baby girl?" When he is unsure or knows that he shouldn't say the thing he really thinks or that is true, he will deflect or give a very vague response. Which makes me quite happy to replay his route at somepoint with this in mind. In conclusion: Welcome to my TED talk, with no head or tail, just me overthinking about things about a otome gacha game. Licht 3rd Anniversary Event

A Beast's Dream Realized by Beauty

Chapter 2

This a fan translation so it is definitely not 100% accurate. I do not own anything related to Ikemen Prince. Support Cybird by buying their amazing stories!

I’m very sorry I don’t have screenshots for this translation until the epilogue!

Part 1 | Part 2 | Premium End | Epilogue

There are three things we can tell from Licht’s drawings.

The first is that every drawing has a big, round full moon.

The second is that there are no roses in bloom.

And the third is that he hadn’t drawn any people.

Relying on the few clues I had, I immediately headed out to town with Licht, but nothing came of it—

Fruit shop Clerk: “These are wonderful colors but I have no idea where the drawing is supposed to be.”

Grocery Store Clerk: “Miss Emma, is this some kind of riddle? Is there a hidden code or something?”

Passing Soldier: “I do patrols a lot, but I haven’t seen scenery like this… I’m sorry I can’t help you!”

Emma / Licht: “Hmm….”

Licht and I go into our favorite café and take a seat to rest our feet, tired from walking around.

Immediately after ordering our sweets, I let out a sigh.

Emma: “This is pretty tough.”

Licht: “The toughest thing is how bad my drawings are…”

Emma: “No!? I like how unique and creative your drawings are.”

Licht: “You don’t have to force yourself to like them.”

Emma: “I’m not forcing myself.”

Licht: “But it’s true that it’s not good enough to work as a clue.”

Emma: “That’s not true.”

I arranged the pictures on the table to see if there were any clues we may have overlooked.

(We went to all the places I could think of and asked the people in town.)

(Even so, the landscape drawing didn’t trigger any memories.)

Emma: “Maybe this scenery isn’t from Rhodolite.”

Licht: “We’ve searched a lot and can’t find a similar place, so I think the possibility is high.”

Emma: “That’s right. Bu what should we do when it comes to other countries…”

(It’s suddenly become even more difficult to find…)

The store clerk sets the seasonal peach tart on the table in front of me.

I hurriedly set aside the drawing and inhaled the scent to my heart’s content.

Emma: “Looks delicious…”

Licht: “You’re drooling…”

Emma: “You’re lying!?”

Licht: “It’s a lie.”

Emma: “…Licht.”

Licht: “I just wanted to see your cute reaction.”

Licht cut into the tart, putting a slice onto a plate and handing it to me.

After I took the plate and thanked him, he started cutting his own portion of the tart.

Licht: “I want to keep your current cuteness in a picture.”

Emma: “…If you say that, I’ll have to get revenge okay?”

The tart that Licht had cut into pieces had the most delicious parts.

While he had a somewhat melancholy air when he dug up the box, Licht was now smiling.

(Licht’s smile is a national treasure no matter when I see it.)

(…national treasure…)

Emma: “Ah!”

Licht: “What?”

Emma: “I have a good idea.”

(With this you might be able to find scenery from other countries!)

After savoring the seasonal tart slowly, we convinced the staff to package the rest for us to take home.

I took Licht’s hand and headed to a certain place.

Sariel: “You want to see inside the treasury?”

Emma: “Yes.”

I had approached the subject while offering tea and a lightly sweetened cake to Sariel while he took a break.

It was only natural that I got a questioning response.

Emma: “Rhodolite is the land of art and roses, so there are many works of art in the court, right?”

Emma: “I want to see paintings by artists from all over the continent.”

Licht: “… I see.”

Licht: “If there’s a similar painting in the court that would definitely be a clue.”

Emma: “Right?”

Sariel: “Are you looking for something? I’m not sure you’ll find it, but it’s fine for you to look in the treasury.”

Emma: “Eh…it’s okay?”

Sariel: “Why are you surprised?”

Emma: “Well the treasury is such an important place that it’s heavily guarded, so I didn’t think it would be possible to get permission so easily…”

Sariel: “Is it really that strange? You are Price Licht’s fiancée.”

Sariel: “You have the right to freely browse the treasury. Here you go.”

Sariel takes out a key from the desk drawer and drops it into my hand.

Emma: “Thank you—”

Sariel: “However, as you said earlier, it houses important cultural property that is under security.”

Sariel: “Don’t play hide and seek in the treasury and break the artwork like Prince Licht did in the past.”

Licht: “…don’t bring that up, Sariel.”

(That really happened?)

Emma: “I understand, I’ll keep my head up!”

The treasury of Castle Rhodolite was even more expansive than the dance hall.

(Even so, it feels cramped because there are so many things.)

As befits the name of the land of art and roses, countless works of art were stored in the treasury.

I froze… if I should fall, I would crash right into the ceramic vase displayed in front of me.

Licht: “You’re too cautious.”

Emma: “Aren’t you nervous, Licht?”

Licht: “Not really? Guess I don’t understand the value of art.”

Licht: “You are far more valuable to me than the national treasures here.”

Emma: “Ah, thank you…?”

(…Licht’s words are always so sweet and make me smile.)

Licht: “There are a considerable number of paintings alone.”

Emma: “Yeah, it’s rewarding to have this many!”

Licht: “Too excited.”

Licht: “…that kind of thing is cute though.”

Licht casually presses his lips against my forehead and immediately begins to remove the cloth from a nearby painting.

(The treasury…. it’s really warm.)

After hours of quiet work—

Emma: “I might have found it.”

Removing the cloths that were hanging on painting after painting…

That’s when I found one picture that stopped my hand.

The painting was a delicate depiction of a foreign dancer.

The dancer is beautiful, and takes your breath away in admiration.

But what caught my attention was the scenery behind her.

Licht: “Which one?”

Licht came closer to the sound of my voice.

The two of us stared intently at the painting like appraisers.

Emma: “Look. First, here’s the beautiful full moon, right? Then there’s the stage where the dancers are dancing.”

Emma: “The jumbled masses in your drawings look just like that, and most importantly, this…”

I compared one of Licht’s drawings with the painting in question.

In the picture that Licht drew when he was young, there are parts that were colored with yellow and green.

On the other hand, the painting depicts a beautiful sandy landscape that is almost transparent and green plants that are not seen around here.

(I don’t know if it’s really right, and it’s possible that it’s just a stretch, but…)

Emma: “The picture you drew was a desert, isn’t it?”

Licht: “…a desert…”

Licht: “That means it’s in Tanzanite, the land of divination and illusion—”

I try to recall the information while imagining a continental map in my mind.

Emma: “Tanzanite… I think that was the country neighboring Jade.”

Licht: “Yes. Tanzanite is the only country that has a desert, and it’s famous for its dancers.”

Emma: “So the person who told you the stories was talking about Tanzanite?”

Licht: “It’s very possible.”

Licht: “I heard that the country over there welcomes dancers and songstresses freely.”

Licht: “…and my mother was a songstress.”

I can hear my heart pounding heavily.

Emma: “Wait, Licht…”

Emma: “Who told you the story that made you draw this picture?”

Licht: “…”

Licht: “…my mother.”

An unfathomable shadow casts into his crimson eyes.

Licht: “This is where my mother wanted to go.”

Late birthday post for Rhodolite's third prince!😅

Mini scenario under the cut.🙈

Clavis Lelouch on his birthday (maybe 😅):

☁️POOF!☁️

In the middle of the Kingdom of Lelouch's main market, clouds of peculiarly colored smoke oozed out from goodness knows where, creating a blanket of pink, white, and yellow on the ground. As the townsfolk watched the tendrils slowly creep towards a particular spot, eyebrows raised but no one seemed to be panicking or even surprised. They were citizens of the Kingdom of Lelouch, after all. But anyone could see they were.... Curious. Maybe a little eager. And definitely tense.

Suddenly, loud gunshot-like noises pierced the air.

Bang!💥

BANG.💥

BANG!!!💥

No one ran. Instead, they looked around as colorful tiny scraps of paper—upon closer inspection, the townsfolk discovered large but almost indecipherable letters scrawled on them—started floating down from who knows where. While the townsfolk were busy watching the confetti showering down around them, a man (more precisely the king) took the opportunity to shed his disguise, revealing a curious get up instead, and stand in the middle of the square. He cleared his throat and his eyes of gold crinkled as more people took note of him.

"Subjects. FRIENDS! Let us celebrate the best king the Kingdom of Lelouch has and will ever have! Hahaha! Come! Don't be shy! Your handsome, noble beast of a king shall now listen to just how much you all adore him. Oh and don't forget to tell me how much better I am at being King, compared to—ahem!—nevermind. Let's not ruin the day by speaking his name! Come, friends! Happy birthday to me! HAHAHAHAHAHA"

He threw his arms wide open, laughing as the people around him cheered and clapped for him. Their king. Their savior. Their friend.

Azel: Love is a beautiful thing, something to be admired. Many people may think so, but——

Azel reaches for a nearby rose and grabs its thorn.

Azel: If you hold it carelessly like this, you will get hurt.

Azel: Jealousy, possessiveness, fear, and crazy love are never made up of only beautiful emotions.

Emma:……

Azel:….By the way, I'm not a fan of blood.

Emma: Linen….! I have linen.

I pulled out the linen I usually carry around with me from my pocket and handed it to Azel.

Azel: Thank you.

Emma: You’re welcome.

Emma: Then again….I don't think love is a curse.

(I know not all of these feelings are beautiful…..)

Emma: It is something that I must cherish.

I finally found true love.

The previous Belle and His Majesty the King had fallen so far because of their love for one another…..

"We" will never let our love into a curse that makes us a beast.

Azel: I see. I'm not here to have a fruitless discussion with you.

Azel shrugs as he wipes his hands with the linen.

Azel: If you insist, go for it.

Azel: The curse has already been cast. It's too late anyway.

Rhodolite, the land of roses and art, where the death of the king was widely reported and a new king was chosen by Belle.

A new era is about to begin, led by the new king,

The court, which was built by gathering the essence of art, had a suffocatingly tense atmosphere.

Gilbert: Hello, gentlemen of the Rhodolite Kingdom. Thank you for the warm welcome.

Leon:……

Chevalier:……

Gilbert: Ahaha, don't be so alarmed. I'm not here to do anything bad today, you know?

The sudden and unexpected visit to the court came without warning,

It was no other than the royal family of Obsidian, the land of ore and military power that has overrun/trampled and dominated many countries, and is the greatest threat on the continent——

It was an unusual event for a country that had refused diplomacy for so long to casually set foot on the land of Rhodolite.

Gilbert: More importantly, your attire looked different than the last time I saw you, yes? A change of pace, perhaps?

Leon: As you know, Lord Gilbert, our country is going through a period of change.

Leon: We’ve made a fresh start and all the formal clothes are done for diplomacy.

Gilbert: Ahaha. I see. Me too, by the way. How do I look?

Chevalier: I don’t care about idle chatter.

Gilbert: I was trying to ease the tension.

Chevalier: If you have come to our country on anything other than evil deeds, I can guess what it is.

Chevalier: Eyepatch, you’ve also heard about that story?

Gilbert: Clever as usual.

Leon: Obsidian, who was good at intelligence, didn't hear that coming?

Gilbert: Indeed, how terrible. My friend was involved in the alliance, and he didn't tell me.

With a refreshing smile, Gilbert walks towards the wall and looks at the map of the continent.

Gilbert: As you guys already know, a few days ago, the three countries of Tanzanite, Achroite and Kogyoku(Ruby) formed alliances.

Gilbert: These countries are major continental powers, along with the industrialized nations of Obsidian, Benitoite, and Jade.

Gilbert:….Oh, and by the way, I never meant your country was inferior, okay?

Gilbert: However, Rhodolite is on a smaller scale.

Gilbert: Civilization is on par with developed countries, but it doesn't make a name for itself on the entire continent, does it?

Leon: Thank you for your shallow consideration. So, what does Lord Gilbert think about this alliance?

Gilbert: Well...up until now, each country has been glaring independently.

Gilbert: It can be said that the balance of the continent has been maintained by keeping each other in check.

Gilbert: But the countries involved have signed an alliance that includes military agreements/pacts.

Gilbert: It’s a historical event enough to make you shudder, don’t you think?

Chevalier:….Until recently, your country was the foremost threat on the continent.

Chevalier: However, if the three countries in question joined forces, it wouldn't be easy, no matter how victorious the marshal was.

Gilbert: That's right. It's my principle not to lose a battle. I don't know what I'll do if someone tries to pick a fight with me.

Leon: Is there anything against your country at the moment?

Leon: I thought of forming an alliance as a countermeasure to the continental threat of Obsidian.

Gilbert: I wouldn't have come here so casually either if you'd been so open about it, would I?

Gilbert: Like the calm before the storm, there is no action. That's the biggest problem.

Gilbert: The fact that the purpose of the alliance remained unclear means——

Chevalier: There's no way to take measures.

Gilbert: Yes. But it's not just us, you as well, you know? I can't tell whether this alliance is threatening or not.

Leon and Chevalier:…….

Gilbert: For now, let's sort things out for each country, shall we?

Gilbert shrugs his shoulders and points to the lower right of the map.

Gilbert: First, Tanzanite, the land of divination and illusion.

Gilbert: The country was originally surrounded by desert, so marching was difficult and foreign enemies could not get very close.

Gilbert: Historically, there have been times when we have gotten along well with our neighboring country, Jade.....

Gilbert: The current administration is not making any moves to seriously aim for territorial expansion.

Gilbert: It's a mystery to me whether there is any benefit to a military agreement.

Leon: Rumor has it that the royal family has their own fortune teller who decides the course of political affairs, correct?

Leon: Could this alliance….also be a result of divination?

Gilbert: Ahaha, it would be interesting if that were the case.

Chevalier: It might have been possible a few years ago. Tanzanite is a country that makes unpredictable movements.

Chevalier: But recent political developments have shown that it is very clever. I suspect that some very shrewd people are involved in national affairs.

Gilbert: I agree with you. But I honestly don't know much about tanzanite.

Gilbert: Next, Achroite, the land of snow and law….

Gilbert: The country and its’ immigration is strict, but they welcome guests from all over the world, regardless of friend or foe.

Gilbert: Didn't you guys once attend that famous boarding school?

Leon: Yeah, most of my brothers studied abroad for a while.

Leon: The country is under the rule of law, and the security is relatively good. It snowed up in winter, and like most desert countries, was difficult to march through.

Chevalier: But the biggest problem is that this country and Obsidian are neighbors.

Gilbert:…..Hehe.

Chevalier: The benefits of a military alliance are well considered.

Gilbert: But there is no sign that they are trying to pick a fight with our country, right?

Gilbert: Maybe they're going to use the military alliance as a check, but if that's the case, they’re better than Kogyoku and Tanzanite…..

Gilbert: It's more efficient to work with Rhodolite, Benitoite, and Jade.

Gilbert: Because Tanzanite is far from here, and Kogyoku is not in a position to lend a hand to other countries.

Leon:....You mean you're uncomfortable with the person you're joining forces with.

Gilbert: Yes. That's why it makes me feel sick.

Chevalier:…….

Gilbert: Last but not least, the country of turbulent times and night cherry blossoms, Kogyoku.

Gilbert: This country, as you know, is already in chaos. Domestic factional warfare is fierce.

Leon: I've heard that country is where civil wars never stop, but wasn't there a state where the king is in the first place?

Gilbert: That’s right. In Kogyoku, a powerful person claims to be the king and works every day to unify the divided nation.

Chevalier: Was it not clear which faction made this alliance?

Gilbert: Indeed. And...one of the main characteristics of Kogyoku is that it has the support of all countries behind its factions.

Gilbert: Some factions are supported by Obsidian, others by Achroite.

Gilbert: Perhaps other countries are also involved, just not publicly known.

Gilbert: Depending on which faction formed the alliance, the purpose should also change. // I guess depending on which faction you're allied with, your objectives should vary.

Chevalier:….Our country has no contact with Kogyoku. If your country has no information, there is no way to guess.

Gilbert: Yes. That’s why I’m in trouble.

𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘, 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 - an Alternative Universe (AU)-based Otome Content Creation Challenge

Brought to you by me and the amazing @queengiuliettafirstlady, this content creation challenge is a week-long exploration of the trope Alternative Universe!

→ GENERAL RULES

Works of all forms are welcome! Fanarts, fanfics, headcanons,...whatever your heart desires.

Limited to otome fandoms - IkeSeries (Ikemen Vampire, Ikemen Prince, Ikemen Sengoku, Ikemen Revolution, etc.); Tears of Themis; Obey me!; Mr Love: Queen's Choice; Light and Night; Voltage games; Mystic Messenger and others, as well as Visual Novel otomes.

This challenge takes place between June 13th and June 19th, 2022. The deadline for posting your works is June 25th (up until midnight, UTC+2).

On June 26th @queengiuliettafirstlady will publish a masterlist enlisting all works linked along with their creators. Don't hesitate to contact us if your work was done within the deadline but wasn't featured in the masterlist. Or, if you prefer not to be featured on the masterlist at all!

When posting your works, use the tag #different universe same love ccc - you can as well tag @xxsycamore and @queengiuliettafirstlady in your posts! It will help us find your work easier!

Posting to other sites is allowed - as long as you mention the challenge and its creators.

→ CONTENT RULES

This challenge uses a total of 14 prompts, two for each day. You're free to create a work based on whichever one you like more for that day. You can also create works for both prompts, and you can also mix the two prompts into one work! Whatever suits you :) You can create more than one work for the same prompt, too!

You can find the list of prompts on the banner above, as well at the bottom of this post.

Under the cut you will also find a short explanation of each prompt, just in case there is anything unclear about them.

Any additional rules are up to the content creators. You are free to choose the rating (make sure to mark your NSFT works accordingly, and if you're minor, make sure not to engage/interact with such!), you're just as free to choose the genre (the challenge's main focus is romance, but it is not obligatory for your work to be of such genre), all characters and ships are up to you (OCs, character x MC, character x character, etc.)

You're free to take requests from your audience using this list, again please make sure to mention the challenge and its creators.

This blog is not taking requests for this challenge, unless I state otherwise later on!

You're absolutely free to post your works for this challenge after its deadline, June 25th - but please know that they won't be featured in the masterlist!

The final and most important rule is to have fun and not pressure yourself about full completion of the challenge. Do only as many works as you wish and you can! :)

Under the cut you'll find a short explanation of each prompt:

Modern AU - moving the characters from non-modern setting to modern setting (they could be going to school, having jobs, etc. you have much freedom with this prompt!)

Historical AU - contrary to above, moving the characters from a modern setting to a specific time period (ex.: Ancient times, The Renaissance, Victorian Era, etc. )

Celebrity AU - placing your character(s) in a setting where they're famous. Other characters could be their fans; working with them, meeting them by chance...

Person of the arts AU - Character(s) who are artists, writers, singers, dancers, actors, everything linked with different forms of art.

Enemies AU - placing your characters in a setting where they're enemies (working in rival organizations, or maybe having a hero/villain dynamic.)

Soulmates AU - a setting where everyone has One True Love and the ways of finding it varies depending on the creator. An example of a popular Soulmate AU is "Your soulmate's name is written on you".

Mythology AU - a setting where the characters are beings from various mythologies.

Fantasy AU - basically everything to do with fantasy, let your mind run wild!

Academia AU - academic institutions of any kind, characters might be high schoolers just as they might be college professors, and anything inbetween.

Small Shop AU - combining the famous Coffee shop AU, Flower shop AU, Pet store AU, Bookstore AU... basically any kind of small shop business.

Domestic/Family life AU - Characters are settled down/have moved out in their own home, and/or started a family.

Role Reversal AU - also called Role Swap AU, a setting where two or more characters swap their roles/alignments, changing plot events. For instance, the MC might take the role of a suitor, and her love interest might take on the role of MC.

FREE DAY - The last day of this challenge is for you to choose your own prompt! It can perfectly well overlap with an already existing prompt. Maybe your favorite Alternative Universe wasn't in the list above? This is your chance to include your idea in the list :)
