I said I'd let you all know how it went with the mysterious funghi I found on a woodland walk. Thanks to advice from @dendryad (check out her recently published beautiful Celtic colouring book) I enjoyed a week of delicious lunches. Firstly I followed an online recipe (just type the common name into the search engine): I sliced it, rolled it egg and breadcrumbs, fried it in butter and squeezed a bit of lemon over it. Delicious! Then I made various omelettes (see photo).
