When Twilight first meets the chain he only uses sign so he can hide his accent, but also his teeth. He meets Wild first and gets to know him a bit before they meet the others, Wild figures out the wolf secret and also passes a vibe check when they first meet so it doesn't take long for Twilight to be comfortable around him. Plus wild is used to sharp teeth because of Sidon.

But when he meets the others he isn't so sure at first aside from a couple of them. He's down right a little afraid or at the very least unsettled by Time. Him and Warriors rub each other the wrong way at first. Not to mention Legends initial front of nothing but snark.

Four, Sky, Hyrule and Wind all pass the initial vibe check, but Hyrule is wary of him at the start. Wind is use to the shadiest people in existence, so he doesn't mind this odd brooding dork that's twice his size. Sky initially is just slowly getting to know each of them while they figure this shit out so he mostly let's Twilight come to him rather than pushing interaction. And Four enjoys how calm Twilight is most of the time and doesn't mind the quiet company.

Overall, Twilight starts to quickly admire the lot of them even if he's uncomfortable with some. Their fighting styles, their knowledge their skills. All of it as well as the many many differences between them.

So more and more as time passes he gets worried about scaring them or coming off as unnatural. And especially after hearing stories on the dark magic everyone else has had to deal with. So he just, resorts to trying to show them what he's like inspite of the odd marking and carnivore teeth.

Eventually though Wild starts scheming to try and get Twilight to open back up and the very least give a real smile rather than tight ones as he tries to keep his lips pressed together.

A couple of the group over here conversations here or there between the two or catch him talking with Epona who is also definitely chewing him out a bit. So they start trying to help Wild when they learn what he's doing. And the unanimous decision is to get him to laugh, Gremlin mode activates in all of them as they find the craziest stupidest scheme possible until one finally works and they get him laughing so hard he can't hardly breathe. Pointy teeth visible while desperately trying to string a coherent sentence together between getting dog piled and messed with.
