The whole vampire household has been touting how Guillermo is “just Nandor’s familiar” for over 4 seasons now. And even at the beginning of this episode, Nadja says it again! She says, “why don’t you take him to urgent care, Nandor, he’s your familiar.”
But once Nadja gets him to urgent care, and the vampire doctor says he’s going to put Guillermo down, she immediately says, with no hesitation, “You can’t do that! Because…because he’s OUR familiar!!!!”
Not just Nandor’s. OURS. And then she proceeds to fuck up that entire clinic to save Guillermo, to protect him and bring him home, even after learning about him being turned already. That’s the good found family shit right there.
I'm STILL reeling over the pure uncut and undeniably heartwarming aspects of this week's episode you guyssss
Nandor putting in time and effort to help Colin Robinson feed and then having a small emotional breakdown when he passed out and immediately bringing him to Laszlo? Laszlo and Nandor working together to get Colin re-energized? Colin then spending the time to transfer back some of the energy he siphoned from Nandor to bring him back to normal? Nadja actually taking Guillermo to get help for his broken foot? Nadja going absolutely fucking FERAL to protect Guillermo's life??? Guillermo unabashedly gushing over how much he loves everyone at that house while simultaneously lovingly insulting them? Nadja and Laszlo keeping Guillermo's secret from Nandor, someone they have lived with and loved for literal centuries???
I think it's safe to say none of us were expecting the wholesomeness, but MAN is it so fucking satisfying.
Aside from all that tho, I also want to discuss the possible implications and significance of Nadja defending Guillermo so fiercely and the episode culminating in Nandor getting serious and a little angry for a moment. Because I think this episode's storyline specifically served to foreshadow Nadja and Laszlo having to protect and defend Guillermo against Nandor, who might fly into a blind rage as a result of what he would almost surely interpret as a devastating betrayal. His deep hurt from discovering the truth might overpower every other rational thought, and he might very well try to kill Guillermo even though we all know he wouldn't really want to.
And if this ends up being the case, it will be SUCH an interesting parallel and contrast to the opening of season 3, where the situation was reversed - where Nandor spent an entire MONTH fighting to protect Guillermo's life against Nadja and Laszlo's murderous intentions.
THE LOVE IS STRONG AND SO SO REAL, THE STAKES ARE HIGH, AND I AM TERRIFIED
Katara fell to her knees as she forced all thoughts of Azula from her mind; she needed to help Zuko.
Her friend was unconscious, but still breathing, the horrific burn on his chest was enough to turn her stomach, but it didn't slow her down. Zuko needed urgent care and she would do her best to provide it!
This was posted yesterday, but tumblr (or more likely, my phone) decided to glitch with the posting and it wasn't here when I got up this morning. Thankfully, I still have the picture, just needed to rewrite my words.
I can’t get over the fact that we’ve never, not ever, seen Colin Robinson this vulnerable before (excluding his year of youth where he didn’t have his memories).
We’ve never seen Colin tell the others he’s suffering, hungry, tired, or hurting. We’ve never seen him ask for help, because he always seems so self sufficient.
So when he hung off Nandor and begged him to “take me home. I wanna go home,” my heart melted for him on the spot
He stumbled into the ER, not knowing, how he actually made it here. Honestly, he didn't really know, where here was. There was this green and red sign guiding him to where he wanted, where he needed to go. Why? He didn't know.
Yeah, he kinda knew. His body was telling him... something. His body was weak, he actually stumbled. His feet not really making decent steps anymore. A hand went to the edge of the door, that just slided open. He wasn't able to make it over the treshhold.
Bright light was hurting his eyes, even though everything was just blurry. His world was grey, turning darker by the second.
An angle, all in white, was approaching. That couldn't be. He was the last to ever make it to heaven. But he felt like dying. The pain, that had been searing through his body, had turned into cold numbness some time ago. Whatever time ment.
The angle had stopped right infront of him. "Oh my god!" Her voice soft, but far away. He didn't understand, maybe a disturbing joke... of heaven?
His body had lost all awareness. He wasn't feeling anything anymore. It was almost a bliss, if there wasn't a brief second of fear to lose control. But he slumbed before it could settle in his mind.
The little white angle was a nurse and she was a step too far away to intercept his fall.
The young man, that just bearly stumbled into the ER was covered in blood. A gushing wound on the left side of his head, gore all over his face. His left hand was limply hanging to his side. His struggle to walk clearly worsend by a bad limb. His pantleg also covered in blood, fabric torn. He actually looked like being hit by a bus. He looked like, he shouldn't be on his feet at all, or that he actually could.
And then he you slumped over. His steading hand on the sliding door not enough to keep him upright.
Blood instandly tainted the floor, where he had fallen. "Gurney!" The nurse barked loudly, already on her hunches to feel for a pulse.
A handful of people were by her side moments later. The stretcher stopped alongside the unconscious young man. A male nurse grapped the patient under his armpits, while the first nurse went for his legs. 2 other female nurses took a hold of the man's denim and together they lifted him up and onto the stretcher. "Bay 4." The male announced, already pushing the head of the stretcher into the right direction.
The hectic of the moment ebbed away, as soon as the little brigade of hospital staff rounded the corner to bay 4.
The double door slowly slided close, sepearting the puddle of blood on the floor, revealing a bloody handprint on the glass.
