I just realized a lovely little irony:

Throughout Jesus' trial, Pilate did everything he could to avoid taking responsibility. He tried sending Jesus to Herod so someone else would do it, he tried scourging Jesus so the crowd would be sated, and he tried washing his hands and declaring his hands clean of Jesus' blood (as if it would change that those were his troops crucifying Jesus under his orders). He even tried to ask Jesus for a way out, the man he is supposed to be judging!

And yet, for all his attempts to avoid responsibility for what he did, what have Christians repeated for almost two thousand years in their Nicene Creed?

"He was crucified under Pontius Pilate"

Information about my characters no one asked for.

Quite a few of my characters definitely have sex and some probably have quite a lot, but I do not know how to write that nor am I particularly interested in figuring that out. I know VERY well who fucks AND what they’re doing, but that is between the character(s) and myself. (until it isn’t)

Mmm, thinking about Ghost going on a date with reader after not having been in a proper relationship in years

He was never one for hookups, and he could never keep long-term relationships. Most lasted about a month at most before he backed out.

Fast forward to now, he's been invited out by you. He figures it'll be like most other dates, a quick dinner at a noisy restaurant before he gets overwhelmed and leaves.

To his surprise, it isn't. You kept his comfort in mind and suggested a walk by the bay instead.

When he walks beside you in silence, you don't seem to take offense. In fact, you don't seem to mind at all. You fill in his silence with easy conversation, keeping it focused on you and not trying to pry into his personal life.

You don't hesitate when he responds with one word answers, instead taking the opportunity to discuss an interest of your own. By the time it's long past dark out, you offer to take him home, apologizing for not acknowledging the time sooner. He didn't want to stop listening to your voice

When he declines your offer, you smile. You tell him to stay safe, to rest well, and to text you when he gets home.

At his apartment, he can't stop thinking about you. About how polite and kind you were. About how you actually cared about his feelings, how you weren't off put by him.

He glances at his phone.

You receive a text at 1 in the morning. A simple 'Back safe.'

ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - It was a story that drew national headlines, a mid-Michigan sheriff warning residents his budget for fuel had run dry, and responding to incident calls will be prioritized.

The Isabella County Board of Commissioners has amended the sheriff's fuel budget, using marijuana tax revenue to keep the gas tanks full.

"It’s the new cash crop," says Isabella County administrator Nicole Frost.

The new cash crop for local governments which have recreational marijuana shops is the tax revenue the state shares with municipalities.

The county board has approved using tax revenue from those marijuana sales to increase the sheriff's fuel budget, so in a way, marijuana money will help fill the gas tanks of Isabella County Sheriff's department vehicles for the rest of the fiscal year ending September 30.

"Maybe it is a little ironic that that's what the sheriff is putting in his tank," says Frost.

This all started a few weeks ago when Sheriff Michael Main posted on Facebook that his $40,000 budget for fuel was pretty much gone due to the high gas prices.

He wrote that police calls which are non-life-threatening, those that do not require deputies to collect evidence or documentation and those that are not crimes in-progress would be handled by phone in an attempt to reduce fuel expenditures.

"I applaud him for trying to get out in front of that, but there was really never a threat of non-response from that department," says Frost.

She said that other extra revenue is also being used to shore up the fuel budget with an additional $20,000.

"That may or may not be enough to get the sheriff through the rest of the fiscal year," says Frost.

Even if it's not, emergency calls will be answered.

"The officers are still going to pull out of that parking lot even if they happen to go into a deficit in their budget," Frost says. ...

thinking about nico rosberg and how happy he seems in retirement. and how much bravery it actually took to retire on that high, to say "i'm happy, i don't need more", and refuse to get bogged down in all the discourse and the hate. about his random exploits making a youtube channel and openly figuring out who he was away from the sport. how unstressed he is now compared to 2016. i'm thinking about how the f1 circuit chews people up and spits them out even if you go in with all the tools and money in the world, because money and resource is very insulating, but you're still always paying and paying in different ways - and at what cost. how he's now thriving and hydrated and his hairline is safe and he's able to stay on the sidelines of a sport that he's loved so much. able to enjoy his winnings and his nepo baby money and his family time. the way he's hilarious on camera, and says things that sometimes are outrageous (all things about lewis - like he's soooo lewis biased he's basically running a stan account but on sky tv actually... drop the burner twt @, nico). but sometimes he says things that are also really needed (being loud on camera about lando being a great driver who will have his time and his win). like, maybe we have to stan actually.

So, let's take canon Danny Phantom. We can even take the AGIT, that would only make him canonically 16-17is for this scenario. (Btw, poor Val. I'm seriously so sorry for her)

Danny is flying around the Infinite Realms to familiarise himself with it better. Look, if he decided to be the Bridge, he has to learn more about the Ghost side of his life. Their customs, quirks, limits, world... from someone who isn't a Fruitloop or his parents. He is still ashamed that it took meeting Dairy King to finally realise that not all Ghosts are evil.

He got to a section of many, many, MANY, natural portals that led into completely different universes. Most of them even had Heroes!!!! He was so exited!

He visited many in the next few months. Made friends, confused the heck out of locals. Made some enemies, cause that's just his life.

Spiderman was cool! Iron Man was so fun to prank, the guy was a billionaire and hilarious.

Even if he never was able to speak with the vast majority, those Japanese Heroes with cool superpowers were awesome. He was kinda glad his world was normal-is tho. Call him judgmental, but come on, look him in the eyes and tell him that you wouldn't be weirded out by some of the mutations.

And now, he spotted his new target. From what he gathered, they were an urban legend of the gloomy as heck city. Robins,... bats? or something. Time to make friends!

And close the leakage of the Raw, unfiltered ectoplasm into here. He had only been around one for an hour and he saw how problematic it was.

Danny is a gremlin in canon. He found cool portals. He will make it other's problem.

Yes, he keeps his identity hidden. No, he doesn't stay invisible all the time. Only initially to get some info. After that? You'd spot him openly bothering the superheroes. And rogues. Can't let them be left out.

What are they gonna do? Kill him? They can't even touch him most of the time.
