Hi too! I am alive and quite well, thanks for checking!

Admittedly I am not really following Ground Zero update, because I plan to read them in one go after all the chapters are complete. But my self control sometimes gets better of me and I find myself read them anyway when I am in K Project mood haha

So some opinion about Ground Zero so far :

- The more I read about Kagutsu Genji, the more I see him as "natural disaster" instead of a person. Well, the book quite hammered down about how "inhumane" Kagutsu is, from Habari pov, Soma pov, even Iwa-san's pov. Like, I don't see him as "evil" but he's totally devoid of moral. Habari has the right idea, that man shouldn't exist in this world, not because of divine punishment or anything, but because his mere existence is disaster in the making.

- I really don't understand why anyone ever wanted to enter Purgatory at all. Random members died like ants in Purgatory, 20% by Scepter 4, 30% by them killing each other, 50% by their King himself for simply existing near him. Just like Soma said, it's like they all have Icarus syndrome to "see the sun even with their wings melted" which is a fancy way to say that they just find fire and partial body mutilation are neat.

- Poor Iwa-san. He's gay and depressed. The man needs therapy and wrestler boyfriend to feed but he got found family composed of unhinged children instead. That's... suffice?... Honestly, I love him. I wanna see more of him and Cathedral clan. Damn you GORA for killing my Iwa-san.

- I think they wanna build mysterious absent Green King aura but they sounds like Nagara-copy so I am not impressed. One of things that this book shows us is how different the previous Kings with the current version. Habari is different from Munakata, Kagutsu "Soma-kun" is certainly different from Mikoto, Colorless King is... well, you know. But the "play" and "dream" talk sounds too much like Nagare and I already hc Nagare to have that mindset because he was appointed as a King when he was just 12 years old and his whole Kagutsu Crater trauma so...yeah. not a fan of that.

- I once think that Ground Zero book will be an Old Scepter 4 fest but why I find them to be the least interesting bunch in the book 😅 Hayato and Akito's story is heartbreaking though.

Bonus :

The segment of lil Fushimi gripped Tsubaki-mon gate on the day of Kagutsu crate ENDS ME. This boy is destined to belong in Scepter 4 from the start 😭

I really love the child!Hisui and father-figure!Iwafune relationship and how much Iwafune thinks of Hisui as his son and kind of protege. Any othet headcanons aside from Dream of Green? And if Hisui weren't a burrito all the time?

I wonder how well-versed Iwafune was in handling kids anyway, like imagine when he first brings Hisui underground and he's like buying alphabet books and simple math flash cards and Hisui is just all deadpan 'Iwa-san, I already learned those.' I imagine Iwafune would want to give the kid some kind of continuing education though, he feels like since Hisui's his responsibility now the least he could do is learn to be a decent father figure. Obviously Hisui being a little burrito child makes that more difficult but Iwafune does his best, like imagine him buying homeschool materials and a computer that will respond to voice activation so that Hisui can learn. Naturally as Green King Hisui picks up on the internet pretty fast and Iwafune wonders if it's worth it to even install parental controls, when Iwafune himself isn't even sure how computers work that much and Hisui could probably get around any blocks anyway. He does try to find chores that Hisui's capable of doing even in burrito mode, to try and teach him to be responsible and all that, but then at the same time he can't help but dote a little and want to do all the really domestic stuff so Hisui can just enjoy himself and be as much of a kid as he still has capacity to be.

If Hisui didn't have to be a burrito all the time I wonder if Iwafune would have taken him above ground more, like I know they have to hide from the Gold King but that would probably be at least a little easier if Hisui wasn't in a very obvious straitjacket and wheelchair all the time. Like imagine on Hisui's first birthday after becoming King, Iwafune gets disguises for the both of them and they sneak up to like some popular restaurant to order a very sugary set of whipped cream birthday pancakes. Hisui admits that these are perhaps a little much for his pallet but at the same time he appreciates this gesture. I could see Iwafune trying to teach him cooking too if Hisui was able to move more on his own, like maybe not even because he's trying to teach Hisui life skills but Hisui expresses interest in learning to make fried chicken and Iwafune figures it couldn't hurt to teach him. This also comes in handy on days when Iwafune gets extra drunk, because sometimes he makes strange food combinations and Hisui is able to eventually take over the cooking on those days to be sure they don't end up with spicy tamagoyaki and sickly sweet beef stew again.

Despite Jungle main characteristics being change and growth the members don’t represent any of it not in one bit.

Nagares time stopped at the Kagutsu crater incident making him have a mind of a child but a body of an adult. this event led Nagare in believing power can prevent bad things from happening like the kagutsu crater completely neglecting that the kagutsu creator was caused by someone who couldn’t control their power.

Sukuna views games as freedom because its the only thing that isn’t controlled from his parents. Sukuna plays video games as a way to take refuge from reality, Sukuna still does this at Jungle as a place to escape to. Sukuna is codependent on Nagare, he doesn’t know what he wants so he uses Nagares dream as motivation to give him a sense of what he wants.

Iwafune is deeply affected by the Kagutsu Creator incident, falling into despair making him an empty shell of a man that once was. hes stuck in the past he couldn’t move forward and accept the reality of the situation. His response to the tragedy is by retreating into himself as a coping machainism, Iwa drowning out his sorrows using alcohol is his an example of him retreating into reality of the kagutsu creator incident.Iwafune fell into despair but he still did what he pleased, Iwafune abandoning his clan and his ideals is his choice he didn’t accept the burden of the kagutsu creator incident as it is he avoided it.The fog can be a representation to how his vision is distorted by his experience at the Kagutsu Creator and avoidance of the reality of the situation.

Growth and change means facing reality head on and not to retreat, the members of Jungle were too into themselves to see what is wrong with them and around them they all retreated into the game to avoid reality.

The real characters who represent change and growth are HOMURA,Secpter 4 and the White Rice Party who changed the most in the second season.

Canons-

Mikoto would genuinely hate being a Hyper Dominant. He totally respects people indulging in their instincts and being free but the power to have people begging on their knees for him when he knows they’re actually afraid or would never look him in the eye on a sunny day would sicken him.

Mikoto can smell Totuka’s pheromones and actually likes how subtle and soft his scent is.

Mikoto doesn’t really release any pheromones unless pressed to do so ((has to put someone in their place or is asked for some by Totsuka))

When he’s about to have a rut he’ll disappear for a week, only god knows what he does and who it’s with— if it’s with anyone at all.

When Eric was on his mission he probably tried to weaken Mikoto with his pheromones but overestimated Mikoto’s. Nothing happened but afterward the ordeal Mikoto probably took a shower to wash himself from Eric’s scent - no offense Eric.

Yata probably lied about being an Alpha as a kid and got properly embarrassed when the others found out he was just a Beta.

Chitose won’t shut the fuck up about being an Alpha and how they’re better, and brags about getting bitches just to piss Bandou off. ((Said bitches realize that Chitose is a weirdo and block his number after the first date))

Mikoto and Munakata probably release a shit ton of pheromones whenever they see each other. One— to compete and see who breaks a sweat first, and secondly… are they flirting 🤨

Saruhiko doesn’t flex his pheromones unless Yata is around.

As a Recessive Omega— Yata would get thru his heats by the strength of his own will. He would probably hate taking suppressants so he just… doesn’t take them. Whoever tried him he just beats them up.

As a Recessive Omega— Yata has probably nested with a blanket that Saruhiko left behind.

Eric weaponizes his pheromones and good looks to get older Alpha women to buy him stuff. After the card is swiped that boy is gone.

Saruhiko’s parents are Dom Alpha’s.

Dewa probably hates having to clean up Chitose’s mess when he’s having a rut. I can also see Dewa not understanding the instincts as he doesn’t go thru ruts and leaves the function if there’s a severe smell of pheromones.

Munakata would 100% reject any omega that tries him. He hates the feeling of not having control, and would probably be disgusted at the people throwing themselves at him. Have some decorum. 🙄

Kuroh would hate alphas because of what they can do, and also because Yakari would bully him for being an omega.

Kuroh has had mini heats, but goes into a full heat cycle when he gets closer to Weismann. Don’t worry tho 😔🤚🏾 he has a recorded speech from Ichigen about perseverance and discipline which gets him thru his troubling time. Also probably nests with Weismanns items which makes Weismann scream internally while taking a bunch of photos.

Ameno Miyabi thee cock block. She doesn’t care about Kuroh and Weismann relieving their frustration, don’t smooch in front of her fish!!!!

Seri’s nose becomes sensitive and she gets terrible headaches when she’s around dominant pheromones. I can see her immediately putting a mask on if she even gets a sense of them. She’ll put up with Munakata and Kusanagi’s tho.

As a Beta, Seri doesn’t react around pheromones but some who’s a Hyper-Dominant can make her feel a little lightheaded and nauseous.

Kusanagi’s been around and has some moments he thinks about fondly, and others he has regrets about so he’s very careful about his hook-ups. I can see him growing up and thinking it was lame to spend his ruts alone, and now as an elderly-28-year-old man he’s fine spending them alone.

Mikoto marks Totsuka with his pheromones to protect him, and luckily Totsuka doesn’t seem too affected by it but gets terrible fevers if Mikoto marks him too much.

Yata was mad as fuck when he found out Rikio emerged as an Alpha, doesn’t matter if he’s Recessive Yata would be mad for days.

I love Kusanagi down, but I feel like he’d believe omega’s are pitiful and weak. As most of society does. If he started making some questionable comments, I can see Totsuka scolding him for his old way of thinking and Kusanagi would apologize just to end the conversation but wouldn’t change his way of thinking.

Totsuka would probably take up the responsibility to teach Anna about secondary genders so she doesn’t believe in any weird idealogies from Kusanagi.

Kusanagi would probably think it’s a shame that Seri isn’t an Omega.

Yakari indulges in his instincts because why not share his beauty and greatness with people who want him. Also he’ll only do it if he can get a hotel room with mirrors as watching himself embrace his instincts excites him a lot.

Homra would be VERY protective of their Omega members as a precaution, especially if Eric is swindling old Alpha women. Kusanagi would order a Beta to stick with Omega members. Totsuka, unfortunately does not partake cause he’s made it thus far! So he’s fine~

Despite that, Kusanagi has ordered someone to follow Totsuka but that bastard is hard to follow, so Kusanagi follows his location on his phone just in case.

Iwafune has probably done some awful things and has a partner he randomly bonded with, but they died during the crater and ever since he’s been bonded with Jesus and Alcoholism.
