Seasons of shadowhunters Kickstarter!🍂

Cassandra Clare just announced a Kickstarter project with new (and not so new) shadowhunters content to be sent out throughout 2024 and 2025

It includes:

a physical copy of Secrets of Blackthorn Hall

an updated version of the Notable Shadowhunters flower card book

a collection of four novellas (at least one of which is set in the shadowhunter world) with covers by jenny zemanek

a romance themed short story collection

a journal with a compass on the cover (like thomas'!) and 12 artworks by cassandra jean

and if you back the project in the first 48 hours you get the 1st chapter of the wicked powers sent to you in 2024

It launches in November and you can sign up to be notified here

Why do you think everyone on the cover of BIB is golden except for Cristina?

hmm this is a really good question! CC said in the newsletter that she was sending Jenny Zemanek a lot of notes over the details, so there has to be significance to it. probably to the plot?? but what that significance might be I have no idea. like I can't think of anything that would set Cristina apart from everyone else. it could technically just be because they had to balance the colours on the cover but that still feels odd, like why just her??

Temporadas de Cazadores de sombras...

Hola chicos soy Cassandra Clare. Como probablemente sepas, he escrito muchísimos libros, la mayoría sobre el universo de los cazadores de sombras. Sé que estás esperando con impaciencia The Wicked Powers y sí, ¡estoy trabajando en eso!

Pero no quería que pasaran dos o tres años entre Chain of Thorns y TWP sin ningún contenido nuevo de Shadowhunter. ¡Entonces! Este Kickstarter presenta trabajos nuevos, así como versiones actualizadas de escritos que quizás haya visto anteriormente. Hemos estado trabajando muy duro con la ayuda de Cassandra Jean y la artista de portada Jenny Zemanek para crear cuatro magníficas ediciones limitadas de coleccionista y realmente espero que les gusten tanto como a nosotros. La mayoría de los terceros dicen que se realizaran los envíos en marzo de 2024. Ahí es cuando esperamos enviarle SOBH, como primer envío. Enviaremos cuatro libros en cuatro envíos a lo largo de 2024 y principios de 2025: uno en otoño, uno en invierno, uno en primavera y otro en verano: las Temporadas de Cazadores de Sombras.

SECRETOS DE BLACKTHORN HALL

Algunos de ustedes recordaran el año raro donde les conté toda la historia de SoBH, que fue publicada todas las semanas en Tumblr. Esta historia sobre Julian, Emma y una terrible maldición fantasmal solo existe en internet en este momento, pero si se logra el Kickstarter podremos imprimirlo, con una elegante tapa dura y los artes de Cassandra Jean a todo color.

Hola Annie!

Saludos desde el oeste de Massachusetts, donde se piensa en la primavera, pero definitivamente aún no ha llegado. Por aquí eso significa que los azafranes y las ardillas listadas han vuelto a salir, pero también hay un viento helado que te azota y te preguntas si alguna vez volverás a tener calor. Como probablemente sepas, soy originaria de Los Ángeles. Así que todo el concepto de invierno todavía me desconcierta.

¿Sabías que a pesar de que he estado de gira en muchos países diferentes, y a pesar de que he visitado la hermosa nación de Francia muchas veces, y a pesar de que he escrito un montón de escenas en libros ambientados en París, ¡¿nunca he firmado en Francia?!?!

¡Lo sé! ¡A mí también me sorprende!

Afortunadamente, esta extraña situación se solucionará muy pronto, ya que dentro de unas pocas semanas estaré en Francia para asistir a la Fête du Livre en París . Estaré haciendo fichajes los días 12, 13 y 14 de abril. Puedes comprar entradas AQUÍ .

MEJOR EN NEGRO

Por fin, toda la colección de Kickstarter está junta: hemos finalizado la portada de Better in Black y ahora tenemos portadas para los cuatro. Better in Black es la colección de diez nuevos cuentos de cazadores de sombras sobre el tema del amor y, por ahora, es exclusiva de Kickstarter. (Aunque espero que eventualmente se retome para una publicación más amplia, especialmente en países que no son de habla inglesa).

Es muy emocionante para mí tener las cuatro portadas hechas; lucen geniales juntas, ¿no? No puedo esperar a verlos a todos en persona.

Jenny Zemanek realmente ha hecho un trabajo increíble con estos. ¡Me encanta cómo han quedado! Jenny también ha sido muy paciente conmigo mientras la molesto con todo lo que hay que poner en la portada. ¿Ves esos pequeños detalles en Better in Black (y también en los demás)? Se tocan con cosasaaaas. Cada una de las cuatro esquinas de BiB detalla una historia diferente: Alastair y Thomas están en la parte superior izquierda, Tessa y Will en la parte superior derecha. ¡En la parte inferior izquierda están James y Cordelia, y en la parte inferior derecha, Mark, Kieran y Cristina!

De hecho, creo que es hora de compartir contigo la lista completa de parejas que estarán en Better in Black. Gracias nuevamente a todos los que apoyaron este proyecto francamente loco del Kickstarter. Tengo muchas ganas de que puedan ver lo que estamos haciendo para ustedes

Author's note: I worked with a fantastic designer– Jenny Zemanek – for my Stariel Quartet, so it was a no-brainer to ask Jenny to do the cover for this spinoff novel too. My human lead, Marius, is a botanist, and large chunks of the book are set in and around the greenhouses of his university, so that was where the Victorian greenhouse and plant motif came from. im reading they mostly come out at night by benedict patrick rn and i’m so impressed by the cover design because this is a self pub book and i’m not saying all self pub books have bad covers but i AM saying a lot of self pub books with good covers have *pretty* covers, not covers that properly convey the tone but this is like.... nail on the head. and i looked thru the graphic designer’s portfolio and they do look to be bangers each and every one of them tbh, good for her

#(its jenny zemanek srsly go have a look if this shit interests u because theyre very good in the sense of like #they're quite trendy while still having a lot of value re: what the book is actually about #because you see a lot of traditionally published book covers in a simple illustration type style #except you see that across all genres and it's somewhat frustrating because there's this homogenousness to covers nowadays #which i'm somewhat disappointed in) #also the book itself is good in the fairy tale aspects but fails spectacularly in the human relationship aspects #you know how it isn't a trope for whipping boys to be best friends with their masters and voluntarily put themselves in harms way for them? #theres a reason for that... :/ #recently read
