I don’t think I’ve watched a show that so accurately and efficiently introduced its core cast as Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the last 20 years. Maybe Yellowjackets.

We’re literally 55 minutes into the series and Xander is already being the worst little manipulative piece of shit.

The scene where Buffy skips school to investigate the mausoleum… She runs into Angel, and asks if he’s gonna wish her luck. The dvd I got from the library definitely has “Good luck” ADR’d in… I swear on my life Boreanaz only said “Luck.”

mr. holmes served as county sheriff until he was killed by his second wife when bez was 13 and lee was 14. lee went back to art school after the local police department covered up the bear out as a fuckin’ armed robbery gone wrong. lee ‘n bez were sworn to secrecy, but nothin’, not even authoritative men in police badges, can erase the image of stepmonster slashin’ dad to bits and lettin’ him fall face first into a plate of spaghetti.

bez never liked stepmonster to begin with, but killin’ their dad was the kicker. lee returned to art school and bez struggled to keep the peace in the household. the bitch stepped up the loving stepma act until a year later, when she wigged out again ‘n landed him in the hospital for a couple days. after that, lee returned home, ‘n it was officially holmes vs. mama bear.

movin’ out was the dream, but unfortunately, mr. holmes overextended when he bought this nice shiny new house for his new wife ‘n kids; most of his insurance money went to getting the house out from underwater, ‘n the rest went to funeral expenses. so... the kids were kinda stuck with her. still are.

bez never let himself be stupid enough to dream ‘bout leavin’ letum falls. he likes it here. he’s got his people. throughout school, he romped ‘round with the cool kids. hung out with all the supernaturals. in fact, you’d be hard pressed to find bez holmes chillin’ ‘round anyone who’s actually human. contrary to his sister, his father’s death didn’t turn him off from supernaturals –– if anythin’, it made him desperate to prove to himself just what a wildcard stepmonster was.

after high school graduation, bez pestered his way into workin’ at the local radio station. what started as a simple soundboarding gig morphed into hostin’ his very own show, the witchin’ hour, on which he talks about letum falls’ spooky happenings and engages with live callers. he’s got a sleep with me bit –– callers name celebrities, fictional characters, or even existing locals bez has to seduce via song and cheesy pickup lines. basically, the whole show’s a hangout with bez –– more often ‘n not, he’s high as a bird. so the witchin’ hour’s got itself a steady cult of listeners. bez loves every second of it.

he’s got a reputation for bein’ sexually ambiguous. he was outcasted pretty young as bein’ a lil... off? never into sports. liked to paint his nails colors sometimes. borrow lee’s shirts. his dad never raised issue with it, but stepmonster definitely had her reservations. still does. bez holmes is a kid some fathers told their sons to steer clear of. for fear of, bez’ll laugh as he tells ya, spreadin’ it around.

labels are for chumps, he’ll tell ya, mid-cigarette drag. size y’up real good. odds are, if you’re attractive ‘n mysterious in some way, he’ll fuck ya. ( not countin’ six months of abstinence in 1980 when he was convinced everyone he fucked wound up dyin’ two weeks later... there were a string of incidental deaths. but honestly, sometimes ? he thinks ‘bout it. )

fuckin’ klutz. yeah, he skateboards. yeah, he looks cool doin’ it. yeah, he’ll even wear his shades while he’s doin’ it at night. but surprise him? make him laugh? he’ll trip over his own two feet.

addicted to cinnamon waffles, enough syrup to drown atlantis a second time. he always haunts the local diner. when he’s not there, he’s likely playin’ pinball or skeeball at the local arcade, or slurpin’ down a rootbeer float and annoyin’ the living shit outta earl at the mini mart.

he owns a shit ton of thrifted clothes. lots of chunky jackets, v-necks, rings, necklaces. funky pants. he’s recognized around town by his crazy curls. they’re never tame. he’s always lookin’ artfully disheveled. smirkin’. stealin’ looks.

t h e f a i r . . .

bez was hangin’ out with his supernatural buds ( wanted connections )when all hell broke loose. he was actually makin’ a fool of himself with balloon darts, but he made a ten buck bet he could win a stupid hat.

while everyone else ran, bez tried to talk down one particular friend ( wanted connection ) who was tryna keep themselves from attackin’ him. he got so far as to get ‘em calm, place a hand on their shoulder. lean in to look ‘em in the eye real close.

“ hey man, hey now. listen. y’don’t gotta do this. killin’ ain’t punk, ‘kay? y’hate blood, hear me? i believe in you, ‘n even though you serve killer looks –– you’re not a killer. ”

even in the face of death, this kid fuckin’ joked around, and... basically this friend slashes his throat and ripped his heart out right after bez managed a hopeful smile. talk ‘bout a magical fuckin’ friendship.

lee and dean hollis took bez’s body with them when they fled the scene.

bez woke up a few days later in the woods near the fairgrounds. he wandered ‘n wandered, almost in a sleep-like trance, ‘til he reached dean’s house. walked in, blinked right at the guy. they exchanged words, albeit bitter ones, before bez left and walked on over to the radio station. did his show like normal, like he’d never even died. no memory of the glitch. no nothin’.

heads on over to earl’s mini mart like usual. but earl won’t check him out. earl isn’t hearin’ him. so he fuckin’ leaves with a bag of doritos and a big bottle of mountain dew. runs into his boyfriend, xander chapell. all’s fine ‘n well. he’s overjoyed to see the other male. everythin’s normal.

the next mornin’, he slinks home. finds lee cryin’ in her room. pieces it together and thinks it must be dean hollis. must be ‘cause of that asshole.

c u r r e n t l y . . .

ain’t nobody got the heart to tell this poor kid he died. he’s dead. and since he doesn’t know he’s a ghost ? he thinks wakin’ up near hose weird ass woods, near the fairgrounds ? it’s all a dream. he thinks the worsened insomnia ? ah. that’s just the weather. ‘n when his hand sometimes goes through things ? when people sometimes don’t see him ? some witch is probably havin’ trouble controllin’ their abilities.

stepmomma has a hunch bez’s spirit might be hauntin’ the house. she keeps tryna sage it. tryna figure out what’s gonna help get her stepson to the beyond. ‘cept bez doesn’t know this, and lee’s playin’ damage control.

he’s still so hopelessly in love with xander, but neither of these two goons have actually shared that with one another. it’s all in the looks. the touches. and now... there’s an added bonus that bez is dead –– technically a goner, unless he never resolves whatever’s keepin’ him here. which, y’know. he won’t. ‘cause he’s got no clue.

can he please get a waffle ? now some of the waitstaff won’t serve him at the diner ! the fuckin’ nerve ! it’s really okay because he’s got duffy ‘n georgia there to help him out. but damn. no one’s ever been this cold ‘cause of his off-color humor before. what’d he do ? lord knows.

weird shit’s happenin’. people in town are actin’ strange. something’s up. but then again, somethin’ always is. so bez doesn’t mind it. keeps on hummin’ his stupid tunes. carries on with his show. the radio station producers are scared shitless ‘cause like... this dead kid keeps goin’ on the air. what kinda cruel joke is this, huh ?

older sister – lee holmes. the holmes kids are revered and feared. always up to somethin’... tragic, what happened to ‘em, but lordie. that dead sheriff raised some weird kids.

chaos crew – maya shen. partners in crime, in an endless pacman and pinball war. they’ll beat one another’s scores back ‘n forth and back ‘n forth, never ending. bez is fascinated by maya’s family line ‘n all. she’s great to have ‘round, too, when he’s got a hankering for a cig but needs a decent light.

row, row, row your boat the fuck away from me – dean hollis. dude was pretty cool, ‘til y’know... he fuckin’ dumped his feelin’s on lee and skipped town. yeah, football. yeah, nfl. cool beans, huh? what’d he have to go and fuck with his sister’s heart for? and now that he’s back and lee’s actin’ weird... bez knows he’s the cause of it for sure. and he doesn’t like it one bit.

grew up together – georgia duchannes. bez, lee, ‘n georgia all grew up peas in a pod. mr. duchannes took over the role as sheriff because he sniffed somethin’ fishy goin’ on in the department and wanted to protect bez ‘n lee. bez gets a real kick outta georgia, ‘n folks even thought he had a crush on her back in the day. which is hilarious. ‘cause everyone ‘n their mother always knew georgia’d end up with vanetten.

the case he’s gonna crack – teejay vanetten. bez always liked vanetten, thought he was a chill guy, y’know? a lil’ vanilla, but hey. not everyone can be as ace as him. the dude’s always been a lil’ defensive around bez though, ‘cause of georgia. bez thinks it’s funny. plays into it sometimes, just to get a rise outta him. after the glitch, it becomes clear teejay’s goin’ through something not human, so bez is tryna get lee on board to help this guy figure out his shit.

music jam peeps. music is a huge part of bez’s everyday life. he listens to bands more than he listens to people. ‘n he dabbles in some musical shit himself. piano, some songwritin’ here ‘n there. nothin’ too major, but it’d be cool to have some pals who also feel as connected to music as him. he does, after all, run a radio show.

post-glitch connections. dude roams ‘round letum falls a lot now. he did before, too, but maybe there are some people who knew of him but didn’t know him before who’re now startin’ to talk with him? ‘cause they can see he’s a ghost, ‘n they feel bad? i dunno. at this point, bez is startin’ to yammer on ‘n on to whoever’s gonna listen. maybe they just see one another in odd ass places. like earl’s mini mart. or the arcade. or maybe this person’s willin’ to speak to someone for him when they’re doin’ that stupid ass ignorin’ game again.

The first character I first fell in love with:

Tbh? It’s so hard to tell? The intro did such a good job in setting the scene that I think Joseph. He pulls the scene and its amazing.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:

Nick??? I dont trust Ubisoft with men (especially after being into r6s) So, when I did his quest I was like okey, he is fine. By the end of recruiting mission, I was a Rye family stan. He is a dork and cares a LOT about his family.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t:

I got two; John? But I actually do???? Its more of a: ‘I like SO many characters here that I sometimes forget about you’ situation. But I DO like him.

And sorry Whitehorse stans but him. I mean he is THE sheriff, a cult doesn’t appear out of nowhere, leading me to believe he let them slip until they grow up to much (which also remind me if im wrong but in US u have to vote your sheriff, which on Montana this is every 4yrs, which means most likely Earl might be in this role when the cult was gaining power, and theres a lot of lines telling u how the Peggies started to buy the forces) Also in MT deputies have a LOT of things they can arrest u for, so, all im saying is 💅🏽the man sus. (something I wanna explore in a project I have in mind. ;P )

The character I love that everyone else hates:

Marshall???? I mean, I dont love-LOVE him but I think he is compelling, he is just trying to get Joseph, beacuse well, its a goddamn cult and he meantioned to be a: ‘yes’ man, before. Also his end its just fantastic, this man that made it all the way to marshall to just end up in Faith’s control? I LOVE the themes this story-line dealt with. Also how she basically used him to punish Dep not only with Vergil but himself too. He is kinda tragic.

Under the cut, because this got long oops

Buffy: I’m assuming you mean the character not the show, sorry if that’s not what you meant!

Headcanon: Pre-season 6 Buffy has PTSD and deals with it alone, a lot more than we see in the actual show because she tries to make life easier on her friends. That’s the only reasonable conclusion I can come to with all the trauma she goes through. It is handled in the show at times but we also don’t see the shitty times she has to deal with alone, like crying in her bed because she can’t get Angel’s face when she killed him out of her head, or not being able to sleep because she can’t stop thinking about The Master.

Yeah her friends have trauma too but not in the same sense that she does, and there’s always the feeling that she’s somehow separate from them. She has to deal with a lot alone, so she subconsciously assumes she has to deal with her trauma alone too to a certain extent and she doesn’t tell her friends about the nightmares, or the sense of emptiness. But she never comes to grips with what’s actually going on, or thinks through her decision to keep this stuff to herself a lot of times, she just does.

Heartcanon: Buffy and Faith should’ve been endgame. Like honestly, they were the most compelling romantic storyline of the whole show and we had to see it all in the subtext, which isn’t fair because they deserved a dark angsty love story with a happy ending and I deserved to see Eliza Dushku and Sarah Michelle Gellar smooch.

Soulcanon: After all the other slayers were activated, Buffy stayed and acted as a kind of “general” for a long time. But once she got to be in her forties or so and her back started to hurt more often and she started noticing grey hairs, she decided to step back and let others handle the world saving for once. She started traveling because sitting around watching Netflix would never be for her, and she saw the world and met awesome people and went on the kind of adventures normal people went on, like driving with Willow and Xander to McDonald’s’ at 3 am, or taking Dawn to the ocean for the day.

Crotchcanon: I really wish that she not stopped wearing mini skirts and dresses after the early seasons. But the discourse that would still be causing today wouldn’t be worth it so I guess it’s for the best that I didn’t get that wish.

Headcanon: Eddie and Richie were each other’s first loves, and they each had every intention of confessing to each other and would’ve ended up together like Bev & Ben did if it weren’t for homophobia + the bury your gays/’keep your gays closeted’ trope. Sorry, I love Stephen King but it’s true ^ Also Beverly was bisexual and her healthiest relationship ever was with a girl in college but she convinced herself it was a “phase” and ended up with Tom due to her trauma and poor ability to navigate her own feelings. THIS IS A STORY ALL ABOUT HOW MY LIFE GOT FLIPPED TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

jk jk jk okay okay so xander was born and raised in the bronx

he was living right in between van cortlandt and dyckman which, if you don’t know, is kind of like living between beverly hills and chicago

he went to high school at laguardia, which is basically like the hollywood arts of queens, and he would take the bus and the train every morning to go there because he loved loved loved the arts

he initially thought he was going to be an actor, but he realized that acting was like super stressful for him and you’ll see why

he was really into photography as a kid. his father gave him his old polaroid camera as a birthday present when he was about 8 and he was literally obsessed with it

he saved every single picture he took of his friends at school and his family and the events they went to his room looked like a crime scene map because of all the pictures hung up with string

between doing school work and taking photographs and memorizing monologues, xander also helped his mother and aunt with their family restaurant when he could. a lot of girls from the school in his district would go there just to see him and he was just like

clueless

his abuela called him lil machismo bc girls were straight up hung up on him and he just.... he didn’t realize???

he honestly gets so engulfed in what he’s doing. if he’s learning lines, he wont speak to anyone around him unless it’s to recite them. taking pictures has to be a controlled space because one fucking distraction can fuck him up

like at some points him mom would have to barge in his room and stuff food in his mouth bc he was just so absorbed in his work and what he was focusing on like he’s lucky he didn’t get SLAPPED for not eating his abuela’s food.

anyway he graduates laguardia and decides he wants to go to nyu, and he does it

he got a boat load of scholarships with his 4.0 gpa and literal glowing recommendation from the film teacher

he went to college for theater and the film professor at nyu was like ‘boi...............................................’

and like, deep down, xander was kind of ‘boi’-ing himself too bc he was obviously so in love with photos and shit but film was a whole other level of work and he knew he might have d i e d

he ended up taking a film integration class and showed his professor the polaroids he edited of his parents dancing at clubs (the ones he got when is father gave him the camera) and the professor was like ‘bitch’

xander ended up switching his major sophomore year and he was like ‘cool cool i love this’

but at the same time he was also like surviving on gallons of water and nature valley bars (if convenient for his schedule)

by the end of sophomore year, he was chosen for an internship at, you guessed it, zenith studios.

he initially worked on the set of lesliean and he was so so so BORED

like he wanted to take the cinematographer by the shoulders and ask him what the actual fuck he was doing but he knew that was rude.

by the end of the internship, xander vows that he was gonna go back to zenith one day and slap some sense into the camera men, but he needed more experience under his belt.

in 2016, xander graduates nyu with cum laude, vice president of fiji, and a bachelors in film production.

he immediately moves to la after he graduates because if there’s one thing xander does, he keeps a promise

he obviously did not slap every crew members on lesliean but he did send in a portfolio to suburbia, which was looking for a new cinematographer after their token member had retired

weirdly enough, a lot of the crew members from lesliean remembered him and gave the crew of suburbia a recommendation for him (which makes it better that he didn’t go and fight them)

literally every day after he got hired his mom would call and ask if he had gotten mugged yet and xander’s just like ??????????? do you know where we lived???????

and that’s really xander’s story tbh

he’s just very focused, like too focused, and he’s like half frat boy have albert einstein of film and he doesn’t know how to balance those two out on his own yet

but he should bc he is a grown man and shouldnt be living off of ramen at his salary????

now onto headcanons:

he has to schedule his family phone calls because he knows they’re going to take 45 minutes minimum and he wont hang up the phone

he’s still pretty ripped for someone that doesn’t eat because he lived on a formaula of gym, tan, laundry in nyu

he’s still very much clueless around girls because he just??? he has no social graces whatsoever

he sucked someone’s dick once but it was only to see if he liked it

he feels bad for women because they have to put that shit in their mouth, but all in all it was a 3 out of 5

when he was in fiji he would always walk girls back to their dorm at night because it was an excuse to take photos during the night without looking kind of creepy and girls always ate it up

sometimes he’ll switch off from spanish to english without knowing because he was taught spanish from the day he was born to like 6, and then the school system fucked up his mojo

ons x fe: fates crossover

japan/ons world as nohr and hoshido - the vamps are nohr, the jida is hoshido, and the possessed/demons are valla - shinoa takes to hoshido (birthright), and mika takes to nohr (conquest), hoshido (birthright) or goes alone (revelations) so he is overpowered okay because i like mikayuu also bc technically this is what happens canonically in the anime-manga soooo Mikaela Shindo-Tepes-Hyakuya or whatever/Shinoa Hiiragi (technically, their last names would be Bathory, but last names don't exist in fe so ha i freaking beat the system) as M!Corrin and F!Corrin respectively - yes they can still shapeshift into a dragon - yes they can still use swords/whatever they use - yes they still start out as a nohrian/nohrian noble - no they are not the same as each other - since corrin is a flexible character and ultimately shows no individual personality whatsoever, corrin in whatever gender will be modified to shinoa and mika's personalities - mika can use swords, lances, and axes - shinoa can use swords, lances, and tomes - in their upgraded forms that is; before they use a master seal, they can only use their dragon stone and sword - mika can only be paired with yuu (nyehehehehe it's cause i'm the creator suckeR) but shinoa can be paired with either mitsuba or yuu (because mitsushin is goals hell yeah) yuu as azura - manlier (than azura, but still pretty feminine - more feminine that in the anime/manga) - still sings (ie azura sings on the battlefield to give the units one more turn) - is paired with shinoa/mika (f!corrin vs m!corrin) - child isn't specified? - ^might have to include @califlair 's (tumblr) michirou, aka mikayuu love child - idk what shinoa's child would be, but p michirou still (even though he's mika's lmao) - ^maybe just redesign a child for yuunoa - dunno if i should even have a child for mikayuu - ^think abt it - yuu is a mix of azura/shigure - usually uses a naginata more than anything else, but could use katanas (or even the Nohrian lances) - has tried tomes before, and REALLY REALLY hates them - still as ditsy as his anime/manga counterpart, but smarter and more serious - ^actually pretty bad at conveying emotion, like canon azura - when he sings, his eyes turn blue(?) - he knows abt valla - although he's (sorta) bad at maneuvering in it when he first got there (ie after guren as arete got married, he moved to Nohr to marry the king (Ferid ew) and miraculously had yuu because vallans(?) are magical and the women and men can have children - his color scheme matches azura's, although has some shigure elements in it - A++ at singing and dancing, although he takes up the title 'songstress'(? what is the male version omg) - ^ if paired with either shinoa or mika, he will teach them to dance the vampires (led by Ferid Bathory) as Nohr - the vamps hire mercenaries and then turn them into vampires - they are, as the canon nohr is, cold, dark, and overall oppressive - Ferid's history with Valla is the same as king Garon's in game - ^ie he marries the ons arete, aka guren, and has our favorite yuu-chan - he kills kureto/krul(?)/whoever will be in place of hoshido (ie jida, so maybe not krul...oH SHINYA YEAHHHH) and takes mika or shinoa and drags he or she off to Nohr - mika is okay with ferid but thinks he's annoying, and shinoa outright loves/hates him - crowley is xander, krul is camilla, urd geales is leo, and lest karr is elise - jakob is lucal whesker, felicia is lacus and flora is renee - the nohrians have few retainers: saito (krul), ky luc (urd), gabel parthe (lest), fuola honte (ferid - as iago), noin teta (krul) (, chess belle, horn skuld (1 retainer per person besides crowley and krul - including ferid) - as well as in game, ferid has absolute no trust in you but usually follows his own advice instead of fuola's and thinks of his advisor as a nuisance - the retainers are modified according to their characters in game (ie not much is known about noin, so i can modify her all i want besides the fact that she hates the jida; ie chess and horn are romantically attracted to crowley, so that will stay) - ferid, ulike garon. is not possessed in any way but is just how is, ie evil, sarcastic, sadistic, and petty as well as a perv (lol) - unlike how garon is,he actually really loved guren (and also unlike the game guren didn't like him back - he deSPISED him) - ^ the way ferid is in the present happened because of guren's 'death' (more in the valla section) - crowley is like super bloodthirsty after shinoa/mika chooses hoshido sooooo yeah - lest literally tries to stop crowley in his own weird lest way but, like elise when she tries to persuade xander, is killed in a kamikaze mission, although he doesn't necessarily jump in front of mika/shinoa like elise does to corrin - by the time shinoa/mika reaches ferid, he's literally just bawling his eyes out (since apparently he has time to do that during war) and fuola is not present; ferid cries over a picture of guren (who had previously been thought dead before mika/shinoa went to hoshido but was then found out (lol) and bc of that ferid just hates the hoshidans more so tht does literally nothing but make him a depressed idiot (he's pretty difficult to save though even while depressed so) the JIDA (led by Shinya Hiiragi) as Hoshido - woO MAMA SHINYA ISN'T SO MAMA ANYMORE - ^ jk he still kinda is, but not as much as the fandom makes him out to be and he def not as motherly as mikoto - he's more fatherly lmao - he is in a relationship with guren atm (ur like 'woah he's alive??? wut') - the jida are still in fact called hoshido lmao - they aren't as sunny as the hoshidans because of mahiru... who is currently gonna be anankos for now thanks - Shinya knows where, what, and how to get to valla via guren, because they are a happy couple - please let them be happy - psyche THAT IS NOT GONNA HAPPEN - ANYWAY... as shinya finds mika/shinoa/omg wth, he is noT- I SAY, NOT- KILLED but is saved by guren, who is present at the moment - and this is where the feels train starts - guren, sadly, dies, yes, dies, like, the dying that means your life blood is sucked out of your veins and slowly drains you of your soul, body, and mind because yoU ARE DYING GOD JFC - anyway, about that- shinya gets super pissed lol like absolutely agent cheeto 2017 election pissed (@guren lol) but doesn't kick mika/shinoa's butte since he knows it's not his/her fault (kinda like ryouma in game) - as guren starts to die, shinya just takes him back to the castle to a 'special room' – no it's not for the x rated stuff it is a practical vallan regeneration chamber - jesus you have a dirty mind - anyway, of course shinya's (adopted) kids start to hate shinoa/mika cause they're like 'omg you just killed my mom' since they aren't let in on the vallan secret >>>>>>:00000 - sayuri is ryouma, narumi is hinoka, kimizuki is taKUMI YEAHHH, yoichi is sakura because heck yeah – ps there will be yuuyoi/yoiyuu interaction - the retainers (they have so many more than nohr lmao) are: norito goshi (yoichi), mito jujo (sayuri), aoi sangu (guren+shinya's advisor), shigure yukimi (sayuri), aiko aihara (kimizuki), shusaku iwasaki (narumi), and mitsuba sangu (who was technically hired to be shinoa/mika's retainer as a child, but since corrin in game was taken away, she became a strategist and the back-and-forth retainer of kimizuki and yoichi, the bros who usually work in a team (when mika/shinoa come back, she's overjoyed and doesn't mind the nohrian attack on guren) (:0000 jk it's cause she obv remembers mika/shinoa and wants to be his/her retainer ) - the retainers know about guren's 'ability' and were appointed to their retainer to reveal the ability to the noble children (sometime in the very very very very very far future) - kimizuki, like takumi in conquest, does indeed do become possessed by a vallan 9APPARENTLY ITS 'VALLITE') (ie a demon) but only for a short while when he is fighting against mika/shinoa with yoichi in like chapter 28 or something lol - hoWEVER HE DOESN'T DIE LIKE TAKUMI DID OKAY he just like gets calmed by yoichi because unlike takumi, who was fighting solo, kimizuki is with yoichi/sakura so is calmed and coaxed out of pairing with the vallite demon and jUMPING OFF A FREAKING CLIFF Demons/People able to harbor Demons as Valla - okay, this is probably the most complicated out of all of them - Guren, Yuu, AND Shinya are from Valla (as well as the actual demons like kiseki-o and asuramaru and mahiru... sort of) - Kiseki-o and Asura are buddies in Valla (Asura is like.... the hoshidan lilith because of yuu and kiseki-o is the nohrian one; yes i know lilith is not a vallite shut up) – kiseki-o is an evil son of a biatch and is the one who possesses kimizuki/takumi under ferid's request – despite this asura is still chill with him bc they're of the same kind so - Guren is the queen... king of valla and yuu is the princess lmaooooo - contrary to the game, i'm being a rebel and having azura and corrin not be cousins (ie hence why shinya and guren are a couple and not siblings because i don't support incest) - also, i'm also thinkig that guren had yuu before he remarried to ferid, and ferid trying to try his best to impress the son and ultimately failing, only to be happy because oh yuu felt bad and tried his hardest to like ferid - eventually he hated him because he thought that ferid had killed guren after his disappearance, and marched on out to the hoshidan/nohr borders at the bottomless canyon to jump back to valla only to be captured by the hoshians he despised (then found out they weren't so bad) and found his mom again - he still hated ferid – suCK IT FERID - okay, so since vallites are the demons in ons, they can regenerate - slowly but surely (takes like a couple of years, unless ur a nobLE) - after the process of regenerating, their timeline is reset so that they look young, but they age and die just like a regular person would (only they would just look young while dying so) – if that's too hard to grasp, here's an easier summary of it: when a vallite dies at a certain age, they will be able to regenerate if his/her body is preserved well enough. once they regenerate, they will look the same as when they died but will also resume the appropriate amount of years that passed when they were dead – so basically they look young but are actually old - and, again, unlike the game, i am having shinya be vallite, only he is a mixed blood vallite (ie half human half vallite) so his regeneration periods trigger less often than a full vallite would - so he looks older than guren but they're the same age lol (which is probably like 30-40 or something, not around 20 like in ons) - guren's regeneration period takes less time since he is a noble of valla, so it would only take him like 2/4 to 3/4 of a year to regenerate - shinya and guren decided not to tell the royal hoshidan children that they were vallite because that would just blur the lines between what is hoshidan and what is vallite - mahiru ties into this because i will have anankos, yes the evil eye dragon thing, be vallite - my history between mahiru and guren confusing bc wow, shinya is also a dragon but can't activaye his powers because mahiru's the one that got the whole dragon blood blah blah, it took her over and she ended up lethally wounding guren, destroying valla (pretty much), and ultimately ruining her relationship with yuu - the hiiragis and the itchynoses had a long history of continuously switching between love and hate, and in guren's gen, he was mahiru's fiancee and had yuu with her, so yeah yuu's also part dragon like azura is in game – good job memu aka me, myself and i for staying somewhat close to the actual fe: fates storyline - anywhoo, as you know, the bottomless canyon (the first actual battle in fe: fates) is a gateway from valla to the real world so ofc guren went that way when he escaped valla (because the way from like bodies of water was blocked off since mahiru literally destroyed everything) so he had to take that way - he tried to take shinya with him, but shinya insisted it would be important for the noble queen (lol) to go escape to safety first, so, after much persuading, guren went without shinya - then he was captured by nohrians after literally not knowing where he was (since he didn't know about the bottomless canyon and just escaped using instinct) and was taken to ferid, who freaking experienced love at first sight – ferid u bich u don't deserve true love - guren didn't feel the same way but thought he was a nice guy so he married the dude – what a freaking nice guy amirite - going back to shinya, there was one lake in the middle of valla (there really isn't one ingame so) and he escaped using that, since it was a portal that all travelers going to valla went through without passing in through the gates (sincethere was a border gate with guards there) and it led to a lake that was around the perimeter of hoshido, which had tenri hiiragi and kureto hiiragi as king and prince in line (this is the time when ferid is like a teen and hoshido and nohr don't hate each other yet) and shinya was put in place as next prince (since hoshidan was first started by vallites ie the hiiragi line, who was more idealistic and hated the fact that valla was a 'dreamlike' place that you could never talk about (since the rainbow sage (aka a really powerful sorcerer who was literally on no side but did what he thought was right) placed a curse on valla) and preferred the real world to valla – short version of what the hell i just said: the true hoshidans were vallites that hated valla and wanted a more realistic place to live that you could actually talk about without dying - shinya missed guren as kureto died early after tenri's rule and he was placed the king and was appalled to see the guy he missed with disgusting lovesickness in the middle show up after a couple years (ie like two decades yeesh) and at this time, ( i lied guren didn't disappear he was done without consent then was 'killed' by nohrian soldiers (and then regenerated since they didn't really kil him but just made him unconcious) and decided to leave nohr - he thought yuu was happy in nohr (he was - he didn't even mind the cold, dark space until he went to hoshido) so guren left him there - shinya then made preparations for guren after he arrived and after like two years they married (and not just to carry on the hiiragi-ichinose name that was planned) and they adopted children (since vallites can only have one child) - vallite men and women can reproduce - it's kinda like omegaverse, a/b/o, but without the ranks - really only the royals, nobles, and a select few people of the male gender can reproduce - it goes like that for women that can give the men the reproduction system too okay, so now that i've come up with the basic stuff i can get on to the more relationship-building unnecessary things lol support conversations of course, just like what is customary of the fire emblem series, support conversations would probably be present in this crossover the support conversations would have the standard format: C, B, A, S or A+ *A+ os for very good friends - it acts like an S support without actually binding the two people in marriage the supports would go something like this: Mika; in revelations (himself), birthright (hoshido), or conquest (nohr): Yuu (C,B,A, and S), Mitsuba (C,B,A,A+), Lacus (C,B,A,A+), and Renee (C,B,A) are the mains bc they will go with any path (since mitsuba, as mika/shinoa's retainer will be required to follow him/her) in conquest: Ferid (C,B,A), Crowley (C,B,A), Krul (C,B,A,A+), Urd (C,B,A), Lest (C,B,A), Kiseki-O (C,B,A) and all of the nohrian retainers in hoshido: Shinya (C,B,A), Guren (C,B,A), Sayuri (C,B,A), Narumi (C,B,A), Kimizuki (C,B,A,A+), Yoichi (C,B,A,A+), Asuramaru (C,B,A) and all of the hoshidan retainers Shinoa; prettt much whatever mika's supports are for revelations/hoshido and hoshido except her convos with Mitsuba are C,B,A,S Yuu; in revelations/conquest/birthright: Mika (C,B,A,S), Shinoa (C,B,A,S), Guren (C,B,A,A+), Shinya (C,B,A,A+), Asuramaru (C,B,A,S) bc yes yuu can marry his demon lol, Kiseki-O (C,B,A), Sayuri (C,B,A), Narumi (C,B,A,A+), Kimizuki (C,B,A,S), Yoichi (C,B,A,S), Mitsuba (C,B,A,A+), Ferid (C,B,A,S) for those feriyuu shippers lmao, and the nohrian/hoshidan retainers for conquest/birthright respectively Guren; Shinya (C,B,A,S) because technically their supports should already be filled out since they're married but they're not bc fe is odd, Yuu, Mika/Shinoa, Mitsuba (C,B,A), Sayuri (C,B,A), Narumi (C,B,A), Kimizuki (C,B,A), Yoichi (C,B,A), Ferid (C,B,A,A+) for those who really ship guren and ferid you arE WELCOME, Asuramaru (C,B,A), Kiseki-O (C,B,A) and the nohrian retainers Shinya; p much the same as Guren's without any Ferid Ferid; Guren, Yuu, Mika, Krul (C,B,A,A+), Crowley (C,B,A,A+), Urd (C,B,A), Lest (C,B,A) and the nohrian retainers i really don't want to keep listing out the supports lol but i think it's pretty explanatory since the nohrians keep to the nohrian side and the hoshidans keep to the hoshidan side and there are some stragglers who go in between both of those and yeet for those who really like pairings, these are the main ones: mikayuu yuunoa feriguren shingure/gureshin mitsunoa kimiyuu yuuyoi/yoiyuu there's probably more but i'm too lazy to go back and read the whole entire thing from start to beginning again so yeah ^ if you have more headcanons for this then feel free to inbox me lol

Valla AU

I haven’t read this anywhere but I’ve talked about it a lot, though I’m 100% positive that at least a hundred other people have thought of this.

Basically, Anankos never went insane.

The avatar was brought up by their birth mother and father.

I usually have something like a twin/sibling AU here.

So, yeah, Corrin & Kamui are there, so is Lillith, she was made before everything was sorted out. (Because I’m going to say that she was made not long after Anankos ripped part of his soul off)

Anankos spent a long time smoothing everything out.

Dragonstone Ex Machina

Probably part of some kind of water tribe.

Always wondered why there isn’t one.

As for characters,

Lillith is the doting oldest sister.

Corrin is the cool older brother.

Kamui is the kind youngest sister.

Anankos is the cinnamon roll dragon dad.

Mikoto is #1 mum.

Azura is ‘holy shit, can we get some actual development’ cousin.

Arete is the awesome aunt.

The King is still dead.

Garon is chill, maybe a bit of an asshole, but still, chill.

Probably got a different wife, who is also chill.

Sumeragi is cool ‘uncle’.

Ikona is also dead.

Maybe not a new wife, maybe does. Who knows.

Xander will probably be let in on the secret.

Ryoma too.

Totally gay princes, especially since Nohr and Hoshido are chill af.

Jakob is definitely still with Kamui, one way or another.

Thinks he’s dead.

Figures out that he’s alive. Obviously.

Now, remember kids, only the royals are allowed to know what Valla is.

Jakob is found.

Jakob is Nohrian nobility.

Nohrian nobility is not Vallite.

Jakob is as good as dead.

So Jakob falls down, Kamui finds him almost dead, Corrin tries to stop her from taking him in, Kamui does anyway.

Jakob is half-conscious around this time.

Now, Valla is super untrusting of anyone who is not a Vallite.

Jakob is singled out and attacked relentlessly.

Kamui ain’t having any of that shit.

So it’s basically Nothern Fortress: Valla edition.

Kamui keeps accepting him, and saving his life, while everyone else is super untrusting.

Mikoto and Anankos are away doing business shit.

So Kamui and Jakob are all good.

Jakob probably tells her everything.

Corrin warms up to him and apologizes.

Lillith starts to talk to him.

Valla begins to leave him alone.

All is good.

Life is great.

Dragon Dad and Anime Mother return from their trip, and kind of go, ‘Who the hell is this Nohrian and what is he doing here?’

Kamui probably explains things.

Anankos is like ‘Well, damn, I know what it’s like to be rejected. Welcome to the family! We’re sort of royal, but sort of not.’

Jakob is like ‘wtf?! I’m a stranger, not even from this country, why are they being nice.’

So he’s probably super prickly on the outside, but still,

Super grateful that he, a Nohrian, a complete stranger, was allowed to live under their roof at no cost.

Kamui and Jakob grow up together, there is still a social divide, though not as much.

Corrin and Lillith talk to him every day, just in passing- no real conversations.

Azura is introduced.

Arete is introduced.

Probably a little bit of suspicion.

I DON’T FUCKING KNOW
