Tid-bit Tuesday

So Lexi (@autisticempathydaemon) tagged me for a little WIP challenge and basically was like "POST A SNIP OF THE PRISSY FIC, BITCH" (i have embellished), so... take a snippy of the Prissy body worship smut I have been editing (barely)

Title: A Wretched Heart Summary: Um.... Christian worshipping his girlfriend Alexis for my best friend Lexi's birthday (written by another Lexi)???

The night is theirs, now, no longer occupied with useless niceties and whispers, always whispers. Christian is never sure if some vampires are extraordinarily petty or just stupid for turning to each other and prattling on in front of two beings with superhuman senses. Alexis never reacts, the poise of a born socialite schooling her delicate features - but the comments make Christian heat until his skin flushes with anger. First, it had been the jabs and quips about her cold and cruel nature, but now it seems everyone has something to say about her smile and beauty. Christian has always known she was beautiful from the moment he saw her staring blankly at a wall. But now everyone is noticing, commenting on the height of her cheekbones or her unmarred decolletage.

But now, they’re alone and his jealousy turns from churning rage to molten lust. Her eyes meet his and he allows a moment to just drink her in. Alexis Solaire is a damned vision in a floor-length midnight black gown, her pale skin on display from the plunging v-neck and a high slit up to her left hip. Her hands dangle by her sides, long fingers decorated in gold rings that she mindlessly twists ending in glossy nails the color of blood. Christian drags in a heavy breath and swallows as his large, calloused palms part the split in fabric to glide up her bare calf. He cups the back of her knee and gently tugs until he can brush his lips across her shin. Her next exhale is audible, her crimson lips parted as her eyes follow the sensual path his fingers make down her ankle to grasp the back of her foot and tug off the black stiletto. He tosses it over his shoulder with a smirk and bends down to press a kiss to the smooth, unblemished skin of her ankle.

1. How often does your character admit to being wrong? Do they ever change their way of thinking?

Bane will happily admit when he is wrong and reconsider his position -- The problem is that you have to get him to think he's wrong, which is very, very hard to do. Not only because he is very intelligent, but also largely amoral. The most effective ways to redirect Bane's line of thought is to have him come to the conclusion himself, or prove that, Objectively, he is incorrect. Both are very difficult to do, especially if he does not hold respect for you. The only person who can consistently point out a flaw in his thinking and have him consider it is, unsurprisingly, Bruce Wayne.

9. What's a line your muse won't cross under any circumstance ?

There aren't many, depending on where his mind is at and what his goals are. Sex-based assault is definitively off the table for him, but while I wish I could tell you it's strictly a morality thing, it is not. Bane grew up in a prison -- there is no category of assault that strikes him as abnormal -- It's mostly because sex and power occupy different spaces in Bane's head, and he has never understood the appeal of the combination. It is also notable that he is hyper-aggressive against anyone who expresses or enacts the intent toward women and femme-folx. Bane is also generally against the idea of harming or killing children and, heavily depending on the circumstance ( assuming he's not being paid to be a merc ), will usually stop doing harm once someone is no longer a threat -- whether this means surrender, injury, or death, is entirely up to his opponent.

If you use arab.org like I do please consider taking the extra 30-60 seconds to click on ALL of their causes. Palestine is important but so are the environment, refugees, children, women, and the impoverished across the middle east and it doesn't take away from Palestine to click for multiple causes. The arab world faces a lot of problems and they only get worsened by how western nations have oppressed and attacked them. Clicking is small but it generates something and overtime it does benefit the greater good. It takes all of us clicking as often as possible but we can do it! It's really easy and safe and they have proofs on their site on how they do make an impact and are donating your click money

trans women are everywhere and are so eager to be seen and heard but only if they feel safe around you. if you hardly ever have trans women interacting with you, especially online, then consider there might be a reason for that and you should address it

This is what a community looks like.

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.

It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.

Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.

If you want more of something, reblog it.
