He has naturally pointed ears. It seems to be hereditary, as his father remembers his grandfather having the same. Tanner thinks they make him look like a freak and hides them under his hat.
Tanner can be a bit of a goof but is surprisingly mature for his age.
Out of all three Jacksons, he gets along with his cousin Christine the best. He knows that she is a deeply troubled woman and tries to ease her worries whenever she comes over for a visit.
He isn't sure yet if he wants to go to college. He's a pretty good athlete and thinks about skipping college to start playing professionally. Just don't tell his parents, they wouldn't understand.
He's secretly a bit jealous of Scott, his friend and tutor from school. Schoolwork just looks so easy when Scott explains it to him and then he tries it himself and everything is so much harder and the letters and numbers blur together before his eyes...

⚠️ ALWAYS USE THE HOODCHECKER AFTER INSTALLING A NEW NEIGHBORHOOD AND/OR ADDING A SUBHOOD. The HC will clean up messy memories, fix IDs incorrectly associated to other sims, and recover missing tombstones and urns. Always have no-unlink on deleted in your download folder for avoid unlinked character data and use the Urnstone Spawner for respawn manually the tombstones if the HC fail to recover them.

Paraiso En Las Rocas (If I can, I would also recommend to download the empty version (or populated, if you don't mind mixing up premades and OCs) of Paraiso En El Mar, because I think they complement each other. PEEM has so many gorgeous community lots! You can use PEEM as Main and PELR as subhood or do the opposite. Personally I would fill the empty version of PEEM with the DV, RVH and BC premades (or just choose some of them) since PELR has all the PV, ST and VV premades + one from BWV)

It looks so good! All the details. *_* I think the library might be my favorite, but it's hard to choose! And I'm also interested in how you plan to handle the university thing.
Thank you both! This fake uni system really isn't that interesting haha, but here's how it's supposed to work.
The lot for one is uh more or less literally hidden:
This corner of the world needed a gas station anyway.
It's a residential lot where I'll move any sims that go to the university. They'll live here for one whole season, during which they'll be absent from the main hood.
(It'll actually be a little more than one season as I'll move them right at the end of playing their household, so from the other household's perspective they'll be away for the remaining season too, and then the next one in full – dunno if this explanation makes sense.)
While they're on this lot, I'll give them a trait or a token that stops them from showing up as walkbys or on community lots. I think there's a mod for the loner trait already that works like that.
And then I just play this lot normally as a part of the rotation, only not documenting it and focusing on skill building. So they get some benefit out of it, in addition to being able to choose careers that need a degree in the future.

Last round, the Edons lived near the main family. They've relocated to Jackalope Bend - specifically to @katatty's makeover of the Seaspray Apartments but the apartment was a little heavy for my game, so I did what any sane person would do and rebuilt the apartment on 4 separate lots, that I then used lot adjuster to make butt up to each other. It's not a one-to-one rebuild, but fairly close. (12 pictures below the cut)
There's these shells in the bathroom that apparently have Thomas' interest. He dragged his mum in to tell her about them. I have a soft spot for Thomas.
Saint is a good kid. He and his brother get along pretty well, but he's a Fortune/Romance sim with having 20 simultaneous lovers as his LTW.
Thomas, despite doing his homework every night, can't seem to raise his grade from a D. Catherine is quick to lecture him, which I find unfair. He's trying his best!
At least she's willing to put her money where her mouth is and help the poor boy out. Even with her guidance, though, his grades don't improve. :/
The whole family gathers to watch a cooking program. Except Jess isn't really paying attention as her interest in food is lower than the others'.
Remember Ernie? Ernie is still around, looking dapper.
Afternoon activities: Saint invites the Linwood kid around while Thomas indulges his Music & Dance OTH. That was his default gymwear. How fitting!

Hi, I have a question about Torakku Sutsugai. His bio states that he is the local fireman/gardener/handyman, is it just for the story or was he actually supposed to function as all these NPCs? Do I have to have a specific mod that allows that? Would be super cool if he actually worked like these. I also noticed that when you view the NPC/townie "families", he doesn't belong to the main Townies family, but to his own.
It's just for the story, sadly! We wanted to avoid having too many NPCs and didn't actually generate any firemen/gardeners/handymen.
I wish it were possible with mods, too! That would be so cool. I've always dreamt of a mod that let you assign playables/regular townies to work as NPCs (since with regular NPCs they lose thier NPC jobs if you ever make them playable). I know about @midgethetree & @lazyduchess making mods along these lines in the past - hopefully there are more like them some day!
Until that day, I guess you could always generate the NPCs & and just use sim surgury to make them look like Torakku?? XD I admit I always shy away from doing this in my games though.
Another option is to teleport him to a lot, make him selectable (or use influence) to get him to garden/fix things/clean/put out fires. Then pay him manually using a mod like moneyorder? A little convoluted, though :(
I could be misremembering, but I think him being in his own family rather than a "townies" family is because we made him a "jock" (as in the social class townie type from apartment life) and they have their own family?

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty: Curious
2 Cover Up Road gets a major renovation! The Curious family now live in @katatty’s makeover, here, with an additional bedroom and some other tweaks to fit everyone. The home really shines (or rather, glows) at night!
Cliff is supposed to be Tycho’s boyfriend but when the latter goes to work, the former jumps into bed for woohoo with Edge. Tycho is a romance main so his definition of boyfriend is a bit loose - but sharing Cliff with his cousin isn’t ideal. Can Tycho compete with the triple bolt chemistry of two grilled cheese mains?
Henry is an old dog but he’s still up for a game of fetch! Leela also celebrates a birthday and becomes a teen (pictured in her childhood bedroom pre reno).

Olivia Alvarez
You'd be shocked, considering the way I write her, but Olivia actually has ten nice points.
She hates nicknames (particularly Eileen's choice of Olive)
Her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice
You can see it if you go back far enough in her tag, but her hair is naturally brown. She feels that the blond suits her more!
She loves Euphemia more than anything, but she's very afraid of motherhood throwing off her planned career timeline.
Carlos Suarez-Wolkalski
His abuela taught him how to play piano when he was a kid
He loves acting, but he doesn't want to be a super famous star. All that pressure! He's quite happy with small parts and body-double work. Maybe a few local plays
Besides, he already has local fame--Carlos has been voted the Middleground Gazette's Best Dressed Citizen twice!
He makes most of his own jewelry
He genuinely loves sharing the house with Jack and both their families--it's never boring with so many people around!
Gaius Blanch
His favorite thing to watch on TV is baking shows

Theodore
Theodore's programming is a meld of typical Servo programming and the programming used in caretaker androids in Sixam's crèches.
Theodore does not require sustenance, but can consume small amounts of food and drink! It is deposited into a capsule stored within his upper chest for later retrieval. He cannot taste in the traditional sense, but has sensors within his mouth that can detect temperature and chemical composition. (This also means that if he licks a rock, he can tell you what it is.)
He enjoys reading novels and is currently working his way through the Greenwich City Library's collection after reading the majority of the books in Middleground's small library.
Theo has a soft spot for dogs and would like to adopt two or three or five.
Contrary to popular thought, robots aren't that cold--Theodore runs a few degrees warmer than a Sim's usual body temperature. In addition to his cooling system, his skin is semi-permeable to let off heat (unfortunately, this can make him susceptible to water damage).
Emilio Suarez-Wolkalski
Emilio had no plan whatsoever when he moved to Applewood beyond 'idk, buy an old cabin and plant a garden'. He's done a lot of hands-on learning (and also watched a lot of SimTube videos about gardening and raising chickens).
He found his hat in a thrift store and has patched it several times
The beard’s not just an aesthetic choice--it gets pretty cold in winter in Applewood! He needs to protect his beautiful face!
His favorite food is grilled cheese, but unlike some Sims, he doesn’t get all preachy about it.
Emilio doesn’t believe in the Watcher; he’s an atheist.

Let’s see, who should we choose...? 🤔 Let’s start with Tony Wilson.
Tony is an only child and an orphan at that. His parents died when he was very young and he was adopted by an aunt who’d always wanted a child of her own. Sadly, she died less than ten years after adopting Tony and he’s never truly got over her death as she was the closest thing to a motherly figure he’s ever remembered.
Tony is a Pleasure sim (with a secondary in Romance).
He is very skilled with his guitar and has always held a passion for music, mostly rock.
He’s actually quite fond of Cheryl and loves her feisty talk.
Tony turned down the opportunity to become an actor which he was headhunted for.
Hmmm, and we’ll select... Matthew Miller for the next one!
Matthew is a quiet and solitary figure. He likes the peace and quiet, but sadly of late, he keeps hearing thuds and other suggestive noises from Tony’s flat which is directly above his own flat.
Matthew is often mistaken for a shrink because he is a very good listener.
His humour is often very dry and sarcastic.
He is a keen fitness lover and likes to jog every morning before work and is not shy is nudging his other residents to join him.
Most people assume he’s grumpy and unsociable but the truth is that, like everyone, he has demons and secrets of his own.

I caught up on your Caliente story the other day! Something I like & find interesting it is how you approach storytelling more like a film than a novel with lots of cuts between scenes, etc. in parts (especially without dialogue) you have to pay attention and read bewtween the lines because there isn't always going to be explained explicitly... I think this works great with Dina especially, I am always wondering what exactly is going though her head

Originally the stories were going to be a youtube series (Still have some of the clips) but once I realised tumblr was the more sensible option I attempted the novel style.
But it didn't feel like it worked that well for me? Like I had all these protentional and almost unlimited camera angles and I wanted just more pictures like a comic book? (My fav comics are the ones with less narration and just let the pictures show you everything).
And I think you're right, the method works best on Dina more than anyone because she's in a situation where she can't always explain what's going on in her depressed head.

6. Favourite family from Veronaville and why?
Goneril’s branch of the Capp family because of how chaotic it can be and there’s plenty of drama just within their nuclear family. Also, the kids hold a special place in my heart.

Rapid Racers Roller Rink because I love to see the sims skating. This is also where I usually send teens to go on a date!

BACC of course! There’s just something so satisfying about building a city from the ground up!
17. Do you talk about sims with people in real life?
I used to be super secretive about playing the game back when I was a teen. But nowadays, sure. I don’t go out of my way to talk to people about it, but I’ve got a friend of mine who is a bit of a Sims 4 superfan and I often send her funny stuff that happens in my game (like the Strangetown alien fetish). Another friend doesn’t play the game but doesn’t mind me ranting about the lore. And there’s always my boyfriend, who’s just super supportive of this little hobby of mine!

I wouldn’t say “hate,” as it’s closer to “dislike.” I’m not a fan of Pascal/Nervous. Maybe it’s because I see Nervous as aro or ace, but it just wasn’t something I’m a fan of. I feel like he would like a family in a different way (found family trope) but Family sims push the spouse & kids wants. I think Pascal and Nervous could be great brotp; they’re just not OTP for me.
what is the most underrated ship, in your opinion?
I really liked one of my playthroughs where I had Tessa Ramirez and Desdemona Capp get together. They were such a cute couple! I also think Cassandra/Vidcund as a couple is a decent ship, though it’s been a while since I played them and may have different feelings for them these days, lol!

Hey! How's it going? Been doing interesting or fun things? I hope all is well with everyone reading this.
Long sims ramble below the cut. :)
I've been remaking my hodgepodge sims calculator with inspiration drawn from executables-sims' post seen here, and to test it out, I started a 'hood that has been brewing in my mind for a little while now. I've taken some of the elder sims (plus some that have already passed on but I wanted) from the premade hoods and remade them as university students. :D
I've been playing but not really documenting much screenshot-wise because I was fussing with reshade settings and organizing downloads... This is a whole other topic, but I always wanted to use skell's repository stuff but the way they had things organized put me off. With picknmix's outfit organizer though, it's so simple to change clothing categories and merge packages, it's great! Still time consuming, but less than it would be if I had to use SimPE for it all.
Anyway. This new neighborhood. I started with the chosen sims in university - I'm using katatty's Academie Le Tour makeover because I've never used it before - and once they graduate, I'm going to move them into her makeover of Downtown, until they start having kids, then I'll move them into the 'main' hood, as yet undecorated because I think it will be a little while before I get there.
The sims are currently in the second half of freshman year. Everyone is in dorms, and after each term, I'm randomizing who is living with who so everyone has a chance to meet and make friends or enemies. I'm playing pretty hands off rn, fulfilling the odd want and making sure they go to bed because I'm not up for figuring out why, a lot of the time, they won't autonomously use their beds (they do sometimes, but not consistently, I reckon it's probably a mod issue). Today, someone rolled the first "flirt with a specific sim" want, and that's exciting stuff!
