Saw the "send predictions" post from the other day, and wanted to throw out a few "may be a prediction, may be a point of interest to circle back on".

1. Mark's effect on MC since it's not usually found on humans. Also add in Mark's effects (if any) on KBAP.

2. To kill or not to kill, but with MC input, in future books.

3. Enemies amongst allies (I personally feel this is a foreshadow)

4. Since the story isn't a "MC is the chosen one" affair, what will be the driving the continuation of MC's presence in the story.

1. Mark effects is something you’ll find out in chapter 9… so sort of right there.

2. I do love killing off characters! but probably not for this second point.

3. Ohh, hellooo new character in book 2!

4. Yup! This definitely isn’t a chosen one story even though people probably read the story and think differently.

I really, and I mean REALLY love some of the shows that pentagon members have been going on this comeback season. a lot of them are really entertaining and allows them to be their playful and carefree selves. them getting their first win really is just the cherry on top. I can tell the members had a lot of fun, and they’re in content that they were never in before, most notably some of the ones where they’re actually outside. they go farming for sweet potatoes and marsh snails, they were fed really well on kbap star, their cute little tiktok dances, like... there has been so many refreshing and new appearances from them that I think are objectively lovely. a lot of good things have happened during this time (and promotions haven’t even ended!) that it makes the impending december 3rd seem almost tolerable. I’m already OBSESSED with pentagon, but everyday I manage to like them more and more...

Hey, anon! I’ve already discussed this but I’ll talk about it again because why not?? Specially because I’ve been thinking about it and part of my opinion has changed.

He has those strong earthy vibes solely because of his Venus in Capricorn, which I’m willing to bet are in an angular house that defines his appearance strongly (1st or 10th, probably). He does not act like a Taurus Rising to me at all, but I get where you’re coming from. He can be very expressive when he wants to (allows himself to) and the food thing is… A thing. But Jupiter in Libra can already make one focus too much on the pleasure life can bring, exaggerating regarding a subject that the person might take a liking to - food, some kind of art, etc.

About my opinion on his Ascendant. I’m torn between Pisces and Aries. But the thing is… Seokjin is known for his beauty, right? Among other things, of course. But his visuals are very characteristic and a huge part of who he is to the public and to people that know him. And although he’s very attractive he also has some trouble going on with his health (his bones). So that rules out having only benefics in his Ascendant in his case - he’ll have trouble mixed with good things ruling his life. So. In his chart that could be represented by having that Venus in his 1st, with an Ascendant in Capricorn, or the Moon in his 1st, with an Ascendant in Aries. Both make sense when thinking about his looks, however - Venus in the 1st does make one look younger but Capricorn is the opposite. So he’d have loads of wrinkles, maybe - or even look a lot more serious or scary. And his Sun would be in the 12th, so his Sagittarius ways would be way different - he wouldn’t be able to joke around confidently the way he does (because the 12th would make him feel trapped regarding those characteristics). And he just looks… Soft. lol The Moon when in the 1st is known for doing that. If it were ruling it it would make sense, yes, but since his beauty and charms are so characteristic I’m willing to bet the Moon is effectively there. So Ascendant in Aries with the Moon in the 1st would make loads of sense to me nowadays, specially if he was born at a time when his Medium Coeli would be in the 10th by Whole Signs - because Medium Coeli in the house of fame also represents a lot of how people see us and Venus would also be there. So he’d have both going on, the Moon in the 1st and the Venus in the 10th, bringing loads of charm and a characteristic beauty. And his Ascendant would be with a benefic working nicely there but being influenced by the 4th since Cancer and Mars are there. They’d be working together, meaning that a lot of who Jin is has to do with his family background - his genetics (the disease, the beauty) and the way he was raised (someone was very demanding with that Mars there, but also spoiled him a lot - which epxlains why he can act so childish although mature at the same time).

Just a little rant to share my thoughts because I’ve been thinking about this a lot this week. Priorities, right?

Kerala going ‘Bird by Bird’

Birds are often given an exalted metaphor of freedom, with ‘skies’ being the limit. But how often do we take out time to look at them amidst their habitats, realizing how rapidly we, humans are deteriorating the very same ecosystems?

WWF-India, Kerala with the support of 50 Volunteers launched a comprehensive bird survey on July 23, 2017 at Kowdiar Palace, Thiruvananthapuram to gather data of birds in the area in order to identify critical bird habitats as a part of the Kerala Bird Atlas Project (KBAP).

WWF-India’s Senior Education Officer, A. K. Sivakumar spearheaded the first phase of the survey in collaboration with the Travancore Natural History Society (TNHS), Early Bird and Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF).

The survey was undertaken in two phases- wet season and dry season, with the area divided into ‘sub cells’.  The survey was carried out in 158 sub-cells  during the wet season,  with the remaining 42 to be covered in the dry months. The WWF- India volunteers comprised of expert birders and avid bird watchers who identified, classified and counted about 50 different species of avian fauna like ruddy crake (Porzana fusca), stork billed kingfisher (Pelargopsis capensis), common sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos) to name a few, and located ecosystems, that are key to their survival.

The data garnered through the survey formed an important part of a handbook guide named-‘A Pocket Guide to Common Birds of Kerala,’ which has listed 135 birds categorized into birds of wetland, prey, aerial feeding, arboreal and ground feeding. This guide includes pictures, features, other classifications and names in both English and Malayalam as a part of a six-fold manual for birders, tourists and bird enthusiasts!

 I had to go uptown on this freezing cold NYC winter day.  My heart smiled when I saw this cheery counter-serve nook specializing in Korean staples like bibimbap, for eat-in or takeout.

I felt that a hot bowl of korean soup was exactly what I needed.  So had the mandoo ramyun (ramen noodles with korean dumplings).  Delicious!
