tried to type up a quick transcript of motaz's stories featuring the anonymous phone calls. it's baffling.

(i think my recording software might have cut off the end of some clips, and i may have misheard/mistyped slightly as the audio is muddled, so if you can go listen for yourself)

caller: hello?

motaz: hello

caller: hello motaz, how are you?

motaz: i'm fine

caller: fine? fine day to go to the beach?

motaz: yeah, sounds lovely

caller: hm?

motaz: yeah, who are you?

caller: i don't understand

motaz: (slowly) who are you?

caller: ehh... i'm nobody. but anyways, um, can you like, post a story maybe condemning hamas so this can all end?

motaz: what?

caller: can you post a story maybe against hamas?

[next clip]

motaz: it's been going on since 1948, okay? and for us, we believe this is our land, and you believe it's your land, and this is the fight we'll never end until the last day of this life. okay? but i'm not understanding why you need me to show you what you want to show, because i'm palestinian. what do you expect me to show? show that -

caller: i expect you - i expect you to - what i think is best for you is - obviously you're a camera man, and i don't think you would harm - let's say you're - you're just a person you know

motaz: yeah, but if you are afraid from the pictures, you are so weak. you should know that. if the pictures are harming you, you should know there's something wrong with you.

caller: no -

motaz: because as you said, i can't harm anyone

caller: let's think for a second. gaza is divided into two. the north fled to the south

caller: i can say, all the people that are marching, protesting in the street, saying 'free palestine' they don't really care. honestly, motaz. if they cared, they would go fight the war together. people are fake. all the people that say in the comments when you post a post 'may Allah save you guys, may Allah -' no they don't - they care about it to a certain point. they don't really know anything about it. they're going to go down today, like - they're not going to do anything. they are just making noise.

motaz: yeah, making noise, but if this is annoying for you or for israel it's your problem, because you are killing people, okay? you are genociding my people. so if, if i'm gonna stand and watch - i don't know who the hell who are you, okay? and uh.. but believe me after what i saw, after what i experienced, i don't care about my life, okay? you destroyed the whole strip, like, the only part we were happy about having, a small part of our country, okay? and it's now destroyed. and you were right when you called the first time that there'll be [the army?] there'll be more bombing, more killing, 'don't go to the borders, don't go to the north,' and i try, uh, to be careful, but, uh, the killing never stops. i mean, i'm in the south, i'm in the middle area, eh, you can't -

caller: isn't it possible for your people to flee to egypt?

motaz: why to flee to egypt, man? it's not our country. why to flee? we have our country. why flee to egypt? be reasonable, okay, be reasonable when you are talking.

caller: i care about life.

motaz: you care about life? stop the killing, man. stop the killing. you are going to have the most powerful weapons in the whole world -

motaz: i'll say it to you, the first time you called me, i was terrified, because a lot of journalists have lost their lives. but now, believe me, now i swear to god i don't give a fuck, because we are all gonna die. so, at least, i will, if i die, i die while trying to do something for my people. this is from my side. eh, something else - you expect me to affect on my people, or to give them advice to go to, to egypt? to flee from the strip?

caller: yeah, it's not about right and wrong, it's about surviving. if you wanna die in the name of Allah, you can, you can say 'i don't care about dying anymore.'

it's not hopeless because more girls are "addicted" to boys/men. it's hopeful because more girls than ever are sick of hearing how they're inferior. more girls than ever want and feel entitled to having their own money. more girls than ever feel entitled to an education. more girls than ever want stories where them and their interests are the focus. more girls want female-centric spaces and entertainment. more girls and women than ever are SICK of the endless bullshit they have to put up with. more girls than ever are repulsed by the blatant display of misogyny (to the point where boys are having to imitate being feminists in order to have a chance).

and the more girls get those things, the less bs they'll be able to tolerate from men. the less the patriarchal programming and propaganda will take effect.

I love so many of your Teen Wolf fics! Keep Talking is one of my favorites! And the Final Pack, I'm not sure how you found the time to write such an epic epic.

Then I got to tumblr and was graced with the peaowl pictures and knowledge. Amazing. 💖

KEEP TALKING!!! I always forget I wrote that one, until I hear the song I wrote it to, and then I'm like DAMN I LOVE THAT STORY and it's always exciting to hear someone else enjoyed it. That shit was so self indulgent and fun to write!!

Final Pack.... I'm actually hip deep in writing that one a second time, into an original. I don't know how I'm going to survive a second writing of it, but I am working through it and I am VERY excited about doing so. And sweet messages like this leave me motivated to go work on it so I think that is what I am going to do!

never ever ever stop talking about palestine bo matter how small or how big of a post/message/anything you say/make/do. Always draw attention back to the causes, always draw attention back to the ways anybody can help, always draw attention back to the brands we need to boycott.

It's not just McDonalds, its not just Starbucks. there are so many more than that that we need to cut out of our lives who support Isn'tReal. Reblog with more brands to boycott, reblog with more brands to support (who help and donate to Palestine), reblog with charity and donation sites, do anything and everything that you can to help out the people in need. The starved, the killed, the tortured, the orphaned, the sickly, the silenced, and all those in between. They are human just like us. They feel like we do, they see the same world as us, and yet they are still being treated like animals and like they are lesser than. They are human and so are we.

Stay safe and make sure to support the greater cause here. Do not stay silent about the massacres. Do not stay silent about the zionists. Do not stay silent about these horrible people. Keep speaking out. Keep boycotting. Keep on going. Our cries for justice are not in vain. Things are slowly but surely changing, political people are realizing what they're doing and what's happening, we are getting to them. We are beginning to make changes. Keep on speaking up and speaking out. Never give up.

Show everybody what is REALLY happening in Gaza. We don't just need a temporary ceasefire. We need this all to end for good, once and for all. We need this to stop and never start back up again.

It's after midnight. The last light rail left hours ago, but the platform lights are still on, here on Colorado Avenue, downtown Santa Monica, as close as you can get to Orpheus' neighbourhood by train. The clouds are high in the dusty sky, and the moon peeks out occasionally as a thinner patch passes over.

None of these lights are so bright that they warrant wearing sunglasses after dark, of course, but... goths will be goths.

Orpheus sprawls along the platform bench. Behind those wraparounds, his left eye is livid, sickly yellow-green-white, focused on the empty spot at the end of his bench. There's an earpiece looped around his left ear; to a passer-by, he's carrying on a hands-free phonecall, too tired to sit up straight and too wasted to go home. The fact that he happens to be looking at where someone could be sitting is sheer coincidence. Honest.

"So," he says. "Thanks for hearing me out, man."

It’s all made him a little wobbly, visibly apparent as he rises to his knees on the floor; Oscar’s hand drops from his face, adjusting so he can grab Lando and guide him. Slowly, ever so slowly, he moves onto the couch.

“Just like that,” Oscar whispers, looking up at Lando as he looms over him – shaking knees straddling his hips, held up by Oscar’s strong grasp on his waist, fighting a losing battle to keep his eyes open.

It’s one line to me, someone who exclusively speaks in one big breath

Probably everyone and their aunt knows this website and the companies to target, but I'm sharing this nonetheless.

Stand with Palestine ✊🏼

Be aware that also Carrefour, McDonald's, Burger King, and Pizza Hut have aided the IDF in the past weeks. NB. (I've seen pictures of Pizza Hut boxes being handed out to Israeli soldiers, but I wasn't able to find confirmation online. I did find out that they mocked Palestinian hunger strikes in 2017 though.)

UPDATE: Also Starbucks and Domino's have aided the IDF or actively silenced protests against Israel.
