oc-tober day 19: song
Tumblr media
malva knight was a hero of conquest galaxy and a member of the "dragons of destiny" millions of years ago. after his death, he began visiting and dueling various conquestian warriors in their dreams.
one day, however, someone's lust for power would bring him back to the mortal realm...

          HEADCANON.
Tumblr media
After the events of XY, I can imagine Siebold's relationship with his colleagues would become a bit more strained than it was before. Previously, he already had been a little tense among his peers at the league due to his insecurities as a pokemon trainer and battler. However, he now is on a bit of a high horse when it comes to protecting the region against Team Flare. Sans Malva, the members of the Elite Four had done what they could in reason to stifle out the organization. With orders in place that made it to where the only reliable ones to stopping the threat were the protagonist and their group, the Elite Four would be forced to the wayside. It was a complicated situation, but Siebold felt he ended up the more righteous by ignoring orders and going headfirst into danger. He holds this as leverage against the others, as if it proves himself just as worthy as a pokemon trainer as them. Unfortunately, his frequent target of grievance is Wikstrom of all people. He's the easiest to attack for what he stands to represent - with the storied lineage of chivalry that even to this day serve their region with pride with the old visage of that loyal knight. He doesn't despise them, and does not fly off the handle at any given chance. As long as the topic does not come up, he can get along with everyone except Malva for the most part.

🎯 Unhinged Character Bingo 🎯
Tagged by @greypetrel - thank you, this was really fun and psychologically interesting 👀💙
🌸 Malva Surana
Tumblr media
"Now that I am free to be myself, who am I?" (M. Oliver)
The First Blorbo TM - I'll always have a soft spot for Malva and her 'yeah sure I grew up in a Circle and adapted so well out of sheer spite and spirit of survival that now I'm not even sure of who am I beside the story people tell about me, but I'm fine :)' thing.
🏹 Gwydion/Gideon Hawke
Tumblr media
"Why greatness? Why is goodness not enough?" (The Green Knight)
The caretaker, the lighthouse, the steadfast and Responsible Sibling that really, really wants to be selfish and self-serving at least once. Most definitely a "it's rotten work / not to me, not if it's you" kind of person. Also the most stable and well adjusted of the group -they have to be.
(why the double name: people constantly misheard and mispronounced 'Gwydion'. Later, Varric ended up popularizing the name 'Gideon' because it means 'great warrior' and that's just perfect for the hero of the story. Gwydion means 'born from trees' and they actually prefer it, but it doesn't matter - the narrative is stronger.
Do I have a thing for identity issues and names? Maybe.)
🌙 Maren Hawke
Tumblr media
"Look how we bleed from all this wanting" (A. A. Diaka)
(I mean, they both end up orphaned - does that count as having 'mommy/daddy issues'? These issues seem quite understandable to me idk)
Political animal & repressed mage - Bethany used to accidentally light things on fire, so she obviously needed more guidance and attention. Maren used to freeze ponds, summon tiny wisps, occasionally move water, and have strange dreams. All things that can be safely hidden away while she waits for her moment in the sun. Pretty much a constant waiting and wanting more.
(tag and template under the read more)
Tag time! I don't know many people with OCs, but @oketipoketifafifurn wrote whole books with them!! So yeah, hello Roby!
And If YOU, random reader, want to do this, just steal from me and say that I tagged you ✨

Hey knight I was just thinking about the evil teams in each generation and their goals. And how they all got taken down by the protagonist
But what do you think would happen to the people in each region if the evil team had succeeded? Like if one team had succeeded but the others lost
Either about the champions, the league, the main characters/protagonists, or the entire region. Up to you to decide. Although I do know 90% of the time it’s just gonna be “___ got murdered/died in this scenario” lol
Fr tho,, I do think of all the evil teams out there, the ones who'd most likely would've succeeded w their plans are Galactic, Plasma/Neo Plasma, and Flare (then again, of all the evil teams, these three take the top spots, like they were really that threatening and the fact that their leaders could somehow fool everyone into thinking that they're the ones in the right is just the cherry on top)
Cyrus legit got five fucking legendaries, two of which are the ones in charge of time and space, under his momentary control, and he almost did win yknow had Cynthia and Dawn/Lucas not came in to stop him
Do I even have to explain Ghetsis that man was ready to kill a child and if you've seen pkmn Generations the damage Neo Plasma caused was fucking insane man, like if that's what they could do w Unova imagine once they take over the other regions
And ofc Lysandre, all that shit w the Ultimate Weapon, and in the manga this man was even more fucking terrifying cause he also had eyes and ears everywhere, like Flare was honestly terrifying in the manga
Between these three tho,, I think Lysandre would've been successful. Cause for one, he was that fucking convincing that no one ever suspected him of anything remotely evil. Two, the region's Champion and Professor, who were both close to him, didn't do shit in the games to stop him, even when Sycamore implied he knew there was smth wrong w Lysandre and how Diantha was already questioning Lys' views of beauty. Three, if this mf was as cunning as he is in the anime and as threatening in the manga, my guy, he really would be that fucking terrifying. Four, if we go w the games' events and such, Lysandre was left for too long by anyone if Calem and the others didn't stop him.
Like, if you think abt it, without the protagonists, w Galactic at least Cynthia knows and tried to stop Cyrus. W Plasma, the Unova League actually did shit unlike the other Leagues and fought Plasma themselves. But w Flare, if we go w the games' events, no one would've fucking stopped Lysandre bc everyone looked up to him yknow, and it's also the added fact that one of Diantha's Elite Four, Malva, was a part of Flare, and she probs had control over the media too, making the people turn a blind eye of what's gonna happen or what's currently happening.
But yeah fr everyones gon fucking die probs lmao

The Elf-Knight sat on the edge of the High King's grace near the Tree of Lindon. Once it had a sapling in Gondolin itself, and now it's leaves were struck with blight. Still resolute in her bronze armor, she waited, with the high helm under her arm. Galadriel had called, as Captain of the NOrth, she had that right. Why were they casseling their armies for war. Was not the War of Wrath Over? --- Rings of Power S1E1 "Partings". WE are reminded of the happenings of last episode where Isildur was cast from the Sea Guard, of the warning's of Adar, and the oath Elrond has made. As the Shadow starts to grow, we can see troubles are happening. The stranger has come to help the Harfoots, the Brandfoot family needs help. Nori is explaining the common tongue or at least Harfoot to the Stranger who is getting a sense of the language. This is definitely a reverse Gandalf situation they are gong for. Someone who has to learn from a child rather than protecting them. She gives a pretty good idea of the perils of Middle Earth. His accent is definitely weird, but the man seems to consider his actions are dangerous. She convinces him or at least tells him he's good. Watching the two parents arguing is adorable as the members of the Brandyfoot family decides to walk. They cover their wagons in grass to hide among the rolling his of Rhovanion. A nice little song perfect for Middle-Earth comes to them as we switch to montage. The Brandyfoot clan struggles as the Stranger helps them. I like how they actually change their caravan camfolage as they travel. More images of the family living in their hovel with the stranger hulking nearby. He sees the worst of the world and he seems to be getting a better feel for the world. This guy is some sort of Maia spirit. As he stands we see him in the burning crater where he arrived. On a mountain or hilltop overlooking the spot we got a view of some strange folk. Women in white along with person with bleached white hair. I'm not sure their evil necessarily, they definitely have a link to someone. Adar and his lt, Grugzuk, prepare to assault the tower of Ostirith. Only the townsfolk of the Southlands and a single elf stand ready. Note, a single left is far more dangerous than a few orcs. Bron calls for people to stand with her, and it makes me wonder, do the people wan to dwell in the shadow of the orcs? Waldreg pops out to be the shitty human he is. He seems to be pro-Morgoth as everyone starts to argue like the rabble they are. Several humans appear to leave as Waldreg as he calls to Theo who ignores his calls. Hmm, is Theo ignoring his dark oath via the hilt? Back in Armenlos the Dunedain prepare for war as many ships sit in the great harbor. Isildur tries to explain himself to his father as he tries ask his father to the front of the line. Elendil makes a point that he hasn't earned his place as he didn't care enough. He can't go since he doesn't really want to server in his father's eyes. Pharazon continues his bullshit. Beardface has called for war as Earien seems to be backing against the war. Its foolish, this is all a play by fucking Pharazon to gain the backing to remove the rightful Queen. The Forges of war alight with work as the Dunedain make their blades. We see that Halbrand is a skilled wordsmith, as the merchants in the Guild appear impressed by his work. The Queen's guard bring him to a council of war. Galadriel decides to toss Halbrand out as a piece on the board. He's obviously surprised, as they both argue over who used whom. He stomps off, predictably, and we switch back to the Brandyfoots who are now in some weird creepy forest. A meeting with the leader of the Caravan and another Harfoot has the woman calling for the entire Brandyfoot family to get abandoned. THe kids already saw that wolves are in the area, what we don't know is these aren't normal wolves. They're wargs. As she harvest some chicken of the sea she's Malva is grabbed by Nori and her friend. A sound of creatures coming, fucking warts. I know they are wargs because normal wolves don't cause the entire fucking forest to quiet. They encircle the girls in a tree as grabs a branch before the stranger steps in. The Wargs challenge the man as the tall Stranger seemingly casts a shockwave to send them away. Yeah, he was able to catch and toss one, this guy is not human. IN Aremenlos we see the Dunedain training while Galadriel steps in to speak with Elendil. We decides to discuss things and essentially says "Stick the pointy end in!" Elfess decides she's going to prove her superior speed and strength compared to the Dunedain. She easily dodges Otamo's thrusts and swipes before getting a blade to his neck.  The man has no balance in his strikes causing him to come off balance. A friend jumps in as both hack at the elf like they are throwing axes at a immoving tree. IT's a pretty laughable sword fight. Isildur gets dragged toward it by a bunch of kids as the entire troop of trainees takes her on and she goes full Jack Sparrow on them. The actress who does Galadriel has the movement for this. "Never trust brute force to best an orc." Otamo draw's blood and becomes a Lieutenant, Halbrand steps in to test the blade's balance and shows he's got skill. Yup, they are setting him up to be Aragorn. Dammit guys we don't need to keep inside tropes. I like how Pharazon is obviously a somewhat smart politician. He seemingly schools Kemen decides to speak and reveals it is his father who is Pharazon. I don't think this is public knowledge. He decides to make a stupid statement it is Pharazon who seems to be smart. Yup, this guy is smart, I like that they made Pharazon smart in being a pretty evil colonizer. I see that they plan to play up the colonization of Middle-Earth before Pharazon falls to the madness of staying death. Tar-Miriel speaks to her father who seems to see her for once after a long time of his senility. HE warns her to not go, which makes me wonder. Is he seeing the fall of Numenor and how his daughter will die desperately on Meneltarma? Hmm, they really are making her a tragic figure as she should be. Nori speaks to the stranger in the wood as he is speaking under her breath and appears to be doing magic. The water where his hand is freezing, which makes me wonder is he using the frost to kill the poison of the warg scratch. Nori grabs his hand and he hurts her. She's a kid, so I can't really fault her for touching the magically freezing hand or her fright toward him. Yeah, little kid runs away after seeing magic,k. In the Elder Days magic wasn't above the flurry we see in DnD, no it was the way of things and old Lore. Now, we head to Eregion where the Khazad, Gil-Galad, and even Celebrimbor. Gil-Galad asks what Khazadum is doing and Durin Jr counters with what the Elves are doing. Elrond steps in and puts his younger friend, aka the High King, Durin pushes forth with that the KIng is eating on a table made of sacred stone. And Gil-Galad, seems to finally give in and show respect instead of pushing. What is Gil-Galad doing? Does he think himself the Lord of Silver Fountains when he rules what is left of the ancient line of Fingolfin. Elrond and the High King are talking briskly. THe High King addresses the Lord Elrond, as Elrond Half-Elven, this is so fucking insulting. Gil-Galad and apparently Mithril is the light of a simaril. What in the name of Valar is this foolishness. What is Gil-Galad up to? They are they mcguffining Mithril. Weird. WE switch to the Tree and we can see that the Elves are now entering their Falltide. THey are at their strength, but their time in Middle-Earth has come to an end. And Elrond shows his honor here, Gil-Galad could ask honestly. But instead he wants to pressure his friend in a selfish need. He could just ASK Durin he could ask and not act like Thingol. Foolish fucking Quendi. Maybe this is why Elrond was so damn determined in the LOTR movies. Yes, I consider them connected so fucking sue me. WE enter an alehouse in Armenlos where the Numenoreans are singing. We seethe lads singing like the teens they are. Foolish, they will get their mooncalf asses sent to the great dark. Isildur comes to see them watching their song. Okay, I got Valandil and Ontamo mixed up. Valandil calls Isildur on his crap and he tells Isildur no. He offers a free hit to his friend, and is told no. "It will be different this time." Welp, the boy will not be denied, so he stows aboard one of the five ships heading to Middle-Earth. ANd, we run into Kemen who seems intent on burning a ship of Numenor. THey fight and a fire breaks out, and mother dammit fucking shit. Kemen falls out and the damn ship explodes and I think - I think Isildur saved the idiot. He does lie for Kemen and makes me wonder. What is the point of lying for the worm. Is Kemen going to become a fucking redeemable character. I hope he does, it would be great to see him join the Elendili. More council actions as Angrybeard and Blondie argue over what the Queen should do. Galadriel continues to shows her hand, and we can tell she's in check on this issue. Beardy has a point where he can sense Tar-Miriel is anxious. He has won this hand, and they retire with Galadirel being forced to push Halbrand. WE learn that Celebrimbor and the King knew about Mithril. They both appear to be planning to recreate the wonder of the LIght of the Trees. Elves can literally die from fucking depression and hard emotions. Is this an attempt to placate what will become the drive to sail to Aman? In the Third Age is is natural to do so where as it appears in the Second they have to earn it. This is a weird and somewhat desperate means, which again makes me think Celebrimbor is already planning the rings. And, that Sauron is hiding in Eregion. Halbrand is confronted by Galadriel who apologizes for using him. She does a pretty bad job of trying to pep talk him into being a King. WE get a nice little background story of how Halbrand survived and got onto the raft. He knelt to Adar, and served him. Galadriel appears upset and admits to how he was slain by the Shadow. And, she admits that her entire being is revenge against the Shadow. She is not the White Lady yet, she is not the life breath of Lothlorien just yet. She gives us a nice taste of her betrayal and how her pain has driven her for yeni upon yeni of life. She hands him something, and we are left in the forge where we see the humans kneeling to Adar. I'm sure he's going to feed them to the Orcs. Adar gets pretty angry at the mention of Sauron which makes me wonder that was a mistake. HE grabs Rowan and appears to order the man to slay the boy. Oh, blood sacrifice is a thing they mentioned in the corruption of Numenor. So yeah, sacrifice to bind humans back to the Shadow. Theo and Arondir get a bit of a chat going. He tries to talk up the boy and he gets a bit of mouth from the Theo. The Elf basically states, "because you matter', and that's not a bad one. "So I shall die as one of them." It's a reminder of what Aragorn did when Legolas questioned his resolve to stand with the Rohirrim. Theo proceeds to reveal the hilt and he brushes away to show us a rock relief. It shows a dark gnarled helmed face and a carven version of the sword. Ostirith definitely has a connection to Sauron, to the Burning Eye. Bronwyn watching the arrival of the ORcs and speaking to Arondir is a nice build-up. As they mov forward it seems Bron is either giving up, that or she and Arondir have a plan. Or is she actually willing to give in, and wow, yeah it seems to be real. The light of the moon suddenly breaks the night as the orcs are singing a word, Nampat! The ORc packs have gathered and they make from the valley to the way of Ostirith. So, Durin made up the joke about the table, and he decides to speak to Elrond straight. The Dwarves keep saying Aule, they call him Mahal. And Elrond decides to inform DUrin Jr about how their souls are diminishing. Hmm, the Shadow does have a tendency of pushing back against the Shadow to their own detriment. Getting an image of Durin soberly finding out the fate of an entire people is in his hands and asks like an ass. I love this character, he's not a fool. He knows now that he's got leverage for a lot. Gil-Galad was watching and we can see he has what he want's the mithril. Back in Armenlos, Halbrand is summoned to see Tar-Miriel. If you aren't sure, Tar is elvish for King give or take. He tosses out his little pouch and heads to the queen before grabbing it last moment. We turn to him in Edainic scale as he prepares to leave with the people of Numenor. The Queen herself is kitted as mean in winged crests walk the way to war. THis is one of the last times the HIgh Men will ride before their Kingdom will become consumed. Earien watches her brother marh off to war, which makes me hope she won't die on that Island. I want to see her survive to design Anuminas and fucking Oscgiliath! Why create a literal architect sister if we do not USE THAT FUCKING line of story! Lol, stable sweep. Good to see his dad tossing him a shit job so his friends still respect him. I like how the Numenorean armor seems to be a nod to the elves, to the later Dunedain and in a way the Rohirrim. Galadriel in pull plate returns to the ship as she and the warriors of Dunedain, along with Halbrand the Southron, head to MIddle Earth. Gay Canon
Okay, Halbrand and Elendil for the win, dads for Ilsidur anyone. And honestly, I wanna ship Earien with a certain Tar-Miriel. I'd love to see a story where Tar-Miriel is saved and drops her throne name for the one she had years ago. Thus Tar-Miriel dies, but the actual person survives to help build Arnor and Gondor. Hottakes:
Okay, the armor in some places seems a little too realistic, and needs a more lived in feel.
The people of Hordern is a nice story, but it makes me think we need a little less weird editing. The scene where they discussed finding a way between Arondir and Bron didn't segue well into the next scene.
Rowan getting the ax as a sacrifice for Waldreg's oath is not a bad bit of darkness.
I like how Adar seems apparently interested for "Till the sun fails and Moon is dead."
Tying the elves to Mithril is going to be a good reveal if Sauron is already hiding in Eregion. Who better than Annatar to be the one championing for his own lack of existence.
Pharazon is building built up as a wiley man.
We need more solid reasons for why the Elves dislike the Numenoreas. A strong mention of the "King's Men" versus the "Faithful" factions needs a bit clearer of a line.
I ship Eariel! Mriel x Earien!
