hellsing is my favorite manga and i admire Kohta Hirano's art style so much !!

yes i know i forgot some details from the original illustration 🧍 but it's too late to add them.

Do you think Hirano will ever return to his work and finish the dawn or even add some more stuff to Hellsing? Dying over here bc of such a lack of canon content lol

I know he's a creator that's known to be lazy but I wish he'd see how much of a fan base Hellsing still manages to carry to this day

I am not going to lie .... I don't think so.

Of course I wish it would be different, but I don't believe it.

He has so many unfinished projects ....

But damn..... I would really really want The Dawn to be finished.

Just wanted to add to my previous send about "official" versus "canon": our shipper friend can get educated on the subject with the example of Hellsing mangaka Kota Hirano's opinion about the first anime based on his Hellsing manga. That author was so upset with the way that Gonzo studio's 2001 anime version changed his story, that he even got an entirely different studio, Satelight, to do a 2nd more faithful OVA version in 2006. Both versions are "official" but only the later one is canon.

Oh I remember that! There’s a ton of anime and manga content out there that isn’t canon. Yashahime is just added to the list.

Metropolis, on the other hand, at least has its moments of piece and tension just under the surface, before they break out in latter part.

Also, I started to watch it, but on 123movies subtitles are a mess so I think I'll give it a shot a bit later on different site, but... Damn, animation is much better then I remember! Like, character designs are very simple, since they're based on style of Osamu Tezuka, so modern animation software plays on it with great level of movement (EVERYTHING is moving, which, as far as I know from Kota Hirano's interviews about GITS2 on DVD I had in teenage years, is really time and energy consuming. Like, in scenes with many people they animated about 30% of background characters and it already felt alive, but here, thanks for much simpler style, they obviously can do so much more AND THEY DO) and expressiveness. Also, they now can add 3d models of big and complicated things, like buildings, structures and, at least in one instance, fish.

Also, it really leans into cyberpunk aspect, with very big class disparity and developed technology. Writer is the same guy who made Akira, so no surprises here, he knows what's up.
