It’s the way the slashers UNDERESTIMATE JUSTINE BECAUSE THEY INCORRECTLY LABELLED HER AS KRISTY (the label is wrong for any of the victims) that just ugh! It’s so fucking good!!! She was able to outsmart them because she was so much more than they were willing to admit! Their presumption that she was some innocent, weak creature they could toy with fucked them over in the end

Remembering Shane MacGowan 1957-2023

Irish singer Shane MacGowan has died at 65. He co-founded The Pogues in 1982. After getting kicked out in 1991, he re-joined in 2001 and was with them until their end in 2014. He also had Shane MacGowan and The Popes, as well as solo work and collaborations with Nick Cave, Sinead O'Connor, and Dropkick Murphys.

The Pogues and Kristy MacColl's 1987 song "Fairytale in New York" is a holiday song I listen to every year as it's on multiple compilation albums. It was even featured in last year's Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. I named The Pogues one of my Honorable Mentions for Best Irish Rockers of All-Time.

April Morning Jonathan Wells You are living the life you wanted as if you'd known what that was but of course you didn't so you'd groped toward it feeling for what you couldn't imagine, what your hands couldn't tell you, for what that shape could be.

This Sunday the rain turns cold again and steady but the window is slightly open and there is the vaguest sense of bird song somewhere in the gaps between the buildings because it's spring the calendar says and the room where you are reading is empty yet full of what loves you and this is the day that you were born.

EMILIE LYNN AS CHRISTINE (WORLD TOUR)

I always assumed - or hoped - she would return to the role. She was so so SO good. My first impression of her was through a door due to a ticket muckup in Istanbul. Several audience members were not let into the auditorium in time, so we had to listen to the Overture from outside. And then Think of Me. And hearing that beautiful bell voice through the door... that was special. The day after I got to SEE Think of Me as well... And my impression of her only improved. Such a pure, passionate, kind, nuanced Christine.

She started out as alternate Christine in the second World Tour, opening in Manila in 2012 with Jonathan Roxmouth as the Phantom, Claire Lyon as principal Christine and Anthony Downing as Raoul. Brad Little took over as the Phantom after Manila. Emilie Lynn would eventually take over as principal, and stayed with the tour until it closed. Her tour schedule look like this:

2012: Manila (alternate) 2012-2013: Seoul (alternate) (out for the 2013 Bangkok and Singapore stops) 2014: Daegu (alternate) (out for the 2014-2015 Taipei and Hong Kong stops) 2015: Istanbul (principal) 2015: Guangzhou (principal 2015-2016: Beijing (principal)

Kristi Holden was the alternate in the stops Emilie Lynn did not do. The latter was also Emilie's alternate in Istanbul, being replaced by Sara Sarres for the two final stops in China.

Backstory:

Around 2014 Varina Met Kristy At The Seabrook City Elementary school in kindergarten and Kristy was alone at the time and that’s when 6 year old Varina met 6 year old Kristy and they became friends until 5th grade at The School called Seabrook Disability Unit (in 5th grade Kristy got diagnosed with autism around that time and Varina got diagnosed with ADHD) when they got into a fight and Michaela actually had to stop the fight but then Kristy Gave Varina a scrach on her backside of her neck and that’s when Varina was sent to a different school Casper Elementary until high school when Kristy saw Varina as a new student at Seabrook high and around their current grade (they are sophomores) Varina tries to help Kristy with her science project and Kristy had enough and told Varina “YOU ARE JUST SO STUPID AND YOUR THE REASON WHY WE ARENT FRIENDS ANYMORE” and Varina went home crying and didn’t even Tell her own parents.......well except her sister Vera
