#seriously there is only one grown adult man in the world alive who i know is shorter than me #most children are taller than me an adult dude of 24 fuckin years old #i can only buy children's shoes and often online because they dont really sell those in stores #i am swimming if i get an adult medium shirt and pants are always far too long for me because 30in is way too much #working anywhere is so hard because all equipment abd surfaces are far too high up for me #and then the job refuses to buy a stool or ladder tall enough to accommodate me #my father renovated the kitchen around 2 years ago and raised everything in height #the counters are now up to my neck and the cabinets are entirely unreachable but for all other folks theyre fine #even with a stool i cant reach beyond the front of the second shelf for anything #i cant even sit down in chairs unless they are table chairs and not restaurant or bar stool height #if they are i just straight up fall over trying to sit in them or the chair falls down or both #if im going to a seated event i have to research the venue first to be sure they have tiered seating and its tiered enough #otherwise i wont see anything because the person in front of me regardless of age is always far taller #the entire world already is run by folks who are against trans people like me and who dont accommodate me #doctors dont accommodate my chrochic conditions and pain at all and never have so i just suffer #and the entirety of every place house and establishment is specifically built for people above my height by tons #so i basically live in a world that wasnt made for someone like me and i just already feel like i dont belong here #and this lack of accommodation just makes it worse

today: lunch with my dad, and before that I got the keys to the new apartment I'll be living in while I do my master's!! I'm so glad I found a place I really liked so quickly, I was expecting it to be such a difficult process. Having to pay rent for it in August already isn't ideal, but now I can spend my summer not worrying about it, and it was definitely worth it for the opportunity to live in this location – outside my window, there's the river and lots of trees, and outside the front door on the other side, there's my new campus. I think I got very lucky with this!

#mine #personal #diary #not pictured is the rest of the room which has a little couch and a low shelf on one side and some empty space on the other side #and in this place i'm buying a little oven i swear to god #i can't live without one again. i'm so tired i just want to bake cake #climbing the ladder to the bed up and down while tired will be a learning curve for sure #but i love the idea of having a little nook for my bed tucked away from the rest of the room #my current apartment also has a little elevated space where i've put the bed #and moving into a more typical student apartment where you can always see the desk from your bed didn't sound great so! hell yeah!

#I just want to get to the place #where I can pour out #approximately 64 half pans of watercolor #which takes a while so I have to set it up in a space where I keep #coming back to pour a little more every day or so #bc of how the paint dries in the pans #and also want to get to the place where I can finish hanging up #the rest of the things that need to be hung #(one more very narrow “wall” of peg boards!) #plus order some fun string lighting and set that up for cozy vibes #and then go and purchase PLANTS #because there will be spaces (way up high away from cats) #where cat-safe plants can attempt to thrive #(cat safe as in safe for cats but also safe from cats) #uhhhhh #gotta get up on the step ladder now and work on clearing out a shelf that is very very high #(plants will go there)
