Today marks 3 years of being a professional photographer and leaving my job in project management. I still have to pinch myself most mornings! The last 12 months have been by far the most challenging and rewarding since deciding to scrap all of my formal skill sets and pursue something that I really didn't know anything about. My to-do list today resembles that of an administrator more than what I thought a photographer was. I am getting jobs that are far larger than I ever dreamed, but with that comes a lot of planning, admin, budget sheets, courier services, staffing, cash flow forecasting and general stress. Hopefully, in 3 more years, I will be in a position to outsource the planning and spend 99% of my time behind a camera.
