¡Hola, buenos días, humanidad! 🌍 ¡Feliz lunes! 💪🌟🚀🏆🌈📈🌱🌞🎯🌺 Hoy os traigo la imagen de Oporto, la segunda ciudad más grande de Portugal, después de Lisboa, y que se encuentra en el norte del país, justo en la desembocadura del río Duero (Douro). Desde que los romanos edificaron una fortificación en lo que hoy es Oporto, la ciudad ha prosperado gracias al comercio. Los azulejos azules dan vida a la arquitectura local, tejiendo un tapiz de tradición y encanto en las fachadas de la ciudad. Estos elementos cerámicos narran historias a través de intrincados diseños geométricos y motivos artísticos. Además, Oporto es famosa por su librería Lello e Irmão, situada en un edificio neogótico de 1906, una de las librerías más bonitas del mundo y un lugar imprescindible para visitar que Inspiró a la escritora J.K. Rowling, quien pasó dos años en la ciudad y se basó en ella para crear algunas escenas de su exitosa saga de novelas "Harry Potter".

Los hombres viajan al extranjero para maravillarse ante la grandeza de las montañas, la exuberancia de la selva, la majestuosidad de los glaciares, la serenidad de los ríos, la inmensidad del océano y los movimientos fascinantes de las estrellas... pero descuidan el conocimiento de sí mismos, sin experimentar asombro. Sin embargo, no hay viaje tan extraordinario, tan enriquecedor y emocionante, como el que se emprende hacia el interior de uno mismo. Al explorar nuestras propias profundidades, descubrimos un mundo lleno de maravillas aún más asombrosas que cualquier paisaje exterior.

Second stop: Porto, Portugal 🚂

Hello, hello!

After 3 days in Lisbon, I took a train to my next destination, Porto. 4 hours later I arrive in this pretty city.

These two days that I spend here, was really cool. I went to some amazing restaurants, some churches, I also went to a wine and chocolate tasting at the Porto's oldest Port Wine House.

My favorite place was the Livraria Lello & Irmão, a bookstore in central Porto who is famous because the author of Harry Potter (who I don't like at all, but have a big affection for the books) used to frequent and the shop is reported as a inspiration for her to write Harry Potter.

My second favorite spot was the Jardim do Morro, people say that it is the most beautiful place to watch the sunset while enjoy the local music. And it's free!!

So, that's it, guys. This was my two days in Porto.

My next stop will be at Pinhão, Douro Valley, Portugal!

Situada na Rua das Carmelitas, 144, nas proximidades da Torre dos Clérigos, a Lello & Irmão (além de Editora) é considerada como uma das mais belas livrarias do mundo.

Atualmente, ela atrai milhões de escritores e turistas em todo mundo. Só em 2018, o prédio recebeu mais de um milhão de visitantes. O escritor espanhol Enrique Vila-Matas, correspondente do periódico britânico "The Guardian" e da editora australiana de guias para viagens "Lovely Planet", por exemplo, é um de seus assíduos frequentadores.

Curiosamente, suas escadarias, saguões e demais ambientes serviram de inspiração para a criação dos cenários da franquia "Harry Potter". The ample interior space is marked by a forked staircase connecting to a gallery on the first floor with detailed wood balusters.

Livraria Lello & Irmão is a bookshop in the heart of Porto housed in a neo-gothic building from 1906, so exquisitely decorated covered in wood panelling that it will transport you to the nineteenth century.

The bookstore itself, excluding the building that now houses it, originated in the international bookstore of Ernesto Chardron, founded in 1869 in Rua dos Clérigos.

The bookstore has two floors with shelves packed with books of all shapes and sizes covering every wall and touching the ceiling. An elegant wooden and red velvet staircase stands in the middle of the library connecting both floors, while the stained-glass window at the top fills the shop with natural light bringing the room to life.
