☕️ ~ This man is a huge ler. THE ler of the group.

☕️ ~ Somehow happens to know where everyone is ticklish. Doesn’t even need to tickle them to know he just knows.

☕️ ~ Wallace won’t go out of his way to tickle someone nor does he get into ler moods I would say, but he does take the opportunity whenever it arrives because he finds it entertaining. Especially when it comes to Scott.

☕️ ~ Scott sleeps in quite a bit so Wallace resorts to tickling him out of bed a lot. He starts out gentle then gets annoyed if Scott still won’t get up. Then he tickles him until Scott is desperate to get out of bed begging to help cook breakfast.

☕️ ~ Copying this next headcanon from @happyandticklish because I love it so much-

☕️ ~ Wallace will just walk up behind Scott and grab his hips, not even tickling him yet, but Scott is already begging and giggling to be let go. Wallace will just lightly squeeze to hear Scott squeak. He does it constantly and out of nowhere.

☕️ ~ Wallace takes great care of his nails. He’s taken Scott to get manis and pedis before because Scott needed it.

☕️ ~ Wallace couldn’t help but giggle when Scott was too ticklish to not squirm around a bit for his pedicure. Wallace has gotten used to the feeling, but won’t ever admit that every now and then it tickles and catches him by surprise.

☕️ ~ He’s given Stacey random pokes to her sides and ribs before to make her scream. She gets so angry each time and he thinks it’s hilarious.

☕️ ~ While they were “going over lines” Todd found out Wallace was ticklish. And my gosh did he take advantage of it.

☕️ ~ Todd found it absolutely adorable that he could make Wallace all red in the face instead of the other way around for once.

☕️ ~ Plus, he finds Wallace’s laugh enchanting.

☕️ ~ Every little giggle and wheeze makes Todd’s heart melt. The fact alone that Wallace is ticklish was enough to make Todd fall in love with him all over again.

☕️ ~ Wallace hates that Todd found out-

☕️ ~ What he hates even more is that he couldn’t deny to himself that it wasn’t a little fun. He even got Todd back quite a bit. Only because Todd let him though.

☕️ ~ Todd has for sure used his vegan powers to pin Wallace down while he tickles him and Wallace find it so unfair.

☕️ ~ Todd is the only one who has found out about Wallace being ticklish behind his ears.

☕️ ~ He was kissing his neck and gave him continuous kisses behind Wallace’s ear and Wallace couldn’t contain his giggles.

☕️ ~ Wallace didn’t even know he was ticklish there until Todd discovered it!!

☕️ ~ Past boyfriends/lovers have kissed his neck before, but none of them touched or kissed behind his ears.

☕️ ~ Todd found this to be the cutest thing on Earth. How Wallace’s voice got all high pitched and whiny when tickled and/or kissed there. How his nose and shoulders scrunch up if you wiggle your fingers lightly behind them. And best of all, when you blow a raspberry behind either of his ears and Wallace squeals.

☕️ ~ You read that right. He fucking squeals-

☕️ ~ They deserved more screen time together they were so cute and funny!!

☕️ ~ Wallace is insanely ticklish on his back.

☕️~ Both Todd and Scott have sat on this thighs while he’s on his stomach and tickled everywhere in his back.

☕️ ~ His lower back and shoulder blades are the absolute worst. They make him wheeze and cackle into silent laughter. He tries so hard to wiggle away and reach back to try and tickle back whoever’s tickling him.

☕️ ~ However, it always leads the person who’s tickling him to go for another bad spot which are his underarms.

☕️ ~ When Todd used his vegan powers to slowly expose his underarms then tickle them, Wallace absolutely died-

☕️ ~ His final worst spot is the back of his knees.

☕️ ~ The top of the knees don’t get a reaction, but the back have him shrieking with high pitched laughter. He can barely form words when he’s ticked there.

☕️ ~ He’s mildly ticklish on the other normal places, but all you’ll really get is a small little chuckle or huffy breaths.

☕️ ~ Wallace gets super giggly when he’s drunk and even more ticklish!!

☕️ ~ He’s even asked Scott for tickles before when he’s drunk and Scott uses it as blackmail. He would never actually tell and Wallace knows this.

☕️ ~ He is also much more touchy and lovey dovey when he’s drunk. So he’ll be all over Scott or whoever’s he’s dating at the time. All giggly with a little pink on his face and slurring his words.

☕️ ~ Wallace has tickle attacked Scott when he’s drunk before and Scott doesn’t know if it tickles more when he’s sober or drunk.

☕️ ~ Wallace will drunkingly tackle Scott onto the bed and lazily scribble and poke everywhere he can reach. Scott cannot move and loses himself in laughter.

☕️ ~ Wallace won’t stop until Scott manages to tickle him back and overpower him, or Wallace stops and fall asleep on top of him.

☕️ ~ Very ticklish to raspberries on his back. Scott always does it as the big finally whenever he manages to fully pin down Scott.

☕️ ~ Scott actually convinced Ramona to help him tickle Wallace a few times.

☕️ ~ Then to make it up to him she helped Wallace get Scott back tenfold. The two exchange tickly secrets about him.

☕️ ~ They sometimes do it while they’re tickling him and it makes Scott’s face go bright red.

☕️ ~ While I did think Todd and Wallace were adorable, we have to include some tickly hcs for him and Mobile 💖

☕️ ~ Mobile was the second person to find out about the spot behind his ears. And he takes every chance he can get tickle him there.

☕️ ~ Scott also spilled all of Wallace’s tickly secrets to Mobile.

☕️ ~ Wallace only ever gets lee moods with Mobile. Doesn’t even have to be drunk! He gets all fake pouty and blushy and pretends he doesn’t know what’s wrong.

☕️ ~ Mobile always knows when Wallace is in a mood. And he thinks it’s adorable. His teases make Wallace crumble.

☕️ ~ That doesn’t Wallace doesn’t get him back though. Wallace loves making his husband laugh and dishing out revenge.

☕️ ~ His favorite technique is to kiss Mobile’s neck while giving him a tickle hug from behind.

Wallace Wells Tickle Headcanons <3

(Sfw interaction only. Not written for kink.)

-Wallace is strictly a ler. He personally cannot handle being tickled, as it registers as pain for him. He does not like any aspect of being tickled, himself, even outside of that. The lack of control, the vulnerability of it, it’s not his favorite. On the other hand, he enjoys every aspect of tickling another person. 

-As a man of physical touch, of course it would be something he enjoys. Running his hands all over his lee to find their sensitive spots. The ability to give his lees an utter dopamine rush, and give them the giggles they deserve. Getting to relentlessly tease them and watch as they cover their cute faces. Letting his lees not think for a while. It’s right up his alley in every way. 

-Try to tickle him and you will live to regret it. (Dhar Mann style) 

He will pin you to the nearest surface and attack the most sensitive parts of your body, with whatever he has on hand. That might just be his hands, that might be utilizing the vibration of the thousand texts he gets from Stacey. He will not stop until you seriously tell him to, or you are crying. He will make you beg for a break. It’s one of the few times you can successfully bother him into tickles, he’s very serious about his no tickle rule. 

-He’s not very easy to annoy, in that way. In his eyes, if you’re a brat about it, he’s not going to give you what you want. Simple as that. The only exceptions are the aforementioned attempt to tickle him, and the good old stealing the TV remote. “Give me the remote!” trope is basically tailored to him, if his lee takes something from him to tease him into tickling them, best believe they will get it. Tasering their sides or under arms to get them to drop it or hand it back, he doesn’t hesitate. Especially if it’s actually the literal TV remote. 

-Most times he will make you flat out ask. He’s the type to intentionally ignore subtle hints that you want tickles. Any attempt to flash vulnerable spots, or put yourself within arms reach, will not be acknowledged. You might get a “you want something?” but he still expects you to actually ask first. He only accepts “tword” sometimes, every other time he would love if you could spit the word out. It’s his favorite form of teasing, making his lee be as straight forward as possible. Same goes if he asks, which sometimes if he’s in a good enough ler mood, he will. He needs a verbal or otherwise direct yes or no. 

-King of teasing, of course he is. He’s so cocky about it. His requirement of direct communication is just the start. If you’re out with friends he won’t hesitate to poke your sides, or strategically say words that sound like “tickle” just to startle you. He thinks it’s cute how fast your eyes dart over to him the moment you think you hear it. Messaging you late at night talking about new ideas he has for sessions, attempting to put you in a lee mood when he’s nowhere near you.  He’ll also 100% tease you for your interest in the subject in the first place. He won’t ever get mean about it but, you know him, he’s gonna make fun of anyone in any way he can. Even if it is a tad hypocritical considering it’s also something he enjoys. 

-His verbal teases can kill. He knows how to make someone get in the deepest of lee moods just from yapping. 

“Wait does that tickle? I had no idea!” In the most sarcastic voice. 

“it can’t be that bad, this isn’t even one of your sensitive spots!” While actively attacking death spots. 

“Cmon, bud, don’t cry! You can take it.” While you’re crying from laughter. 

A master of knowing just what to say to make you feel warm and fuzzy. Maybe making your brain warm and fuzzy. 

-Uses a lot of soft touches, and utilizes his fingernails whenever he can. His nails aren’t exactly manicured and pretty, but they’re long enough to make an impact. Running his nails down your back, barely even making contact. Going down your spine one vertebrae at a time. Ghosting your sides and stomach to see you twitch. Lightly running his thumb across the back of your hand. He mostly believes that less is more. 

-He can wreck you though. He will wreck you, if that’s what you want. If your goal is to wipe your brain and replace your thoughts with nothing but laughter and the feeling of hands, he will absolutely provide. He would adore to. He can be absolutely relentless about it, not stopping to even breathe until you’re crying. He has so much stamina and energy, you will likely tap out before him. If you think otherwise, feel free to challenge him, but you may regret it. 

-He loves the reactions of it all. It’s easily his favorite part, looking at his lee’s face and seeing how their nose scrunches up when he finds certain spots, or how their breathing stops with silent laughter when he grazes others. Finding their cheeks warm and hearing the left over giggles when he goes hands off for a moment. He absolutely adores being able to immediately see the results of his actions, he pays such attention to all the body language of his lee. 

-Fond of wake up tickles. He’s always having to wake up Scott at ungodly hours of the day, sometimes he just takes advantage of the weird positions he sleeps in. He absolutely will dig his nails into Scott’s under arms and ribs just because it annoys him to be awoken so suddenly. That’s why he likes them, mostly, because of how startled and annoyed the lee gets. Their little groans of protest at his cold hands, he thinks it’s cute. 

-Also a big fan of utilizing tools. Soft stuff, especially. Feathers of any kind, brushes and dusters. He loves using them, especially when his lee least expects it. He tries a lot of different fabrics, as well. He may wear gloves of all kinds, but he also keeps variety on the long sleeves that may brush against his lee while he’s doing his thing. 

-So good at aftercare. He’s good at tiring someone out, so he’s gotta be good at taking care of them afterwards. He will always make you food, or put a movie you like on, or just sit there and cuddle if that’s what makes you feel best. His only requirement is water, he makes sure the both of you drink water. It can be a strenuous activity. It’s exercise. You have to be hydrated. He knows that a session can be mentally draining as well. Having so many good chemicals and then having it randomly stop can be tough. He’s always watching out.

“Ive told you Wallace.” Frank droned “I don’t laugh, you know this” 

The grey puppet didnt even need to look up from his book to see the other puppet roll his eyes. The book he’d been trying to read before a certain blue haired painter decided to make it his mission of the day to annoy him.

“Oh come onnnnn Frankie” Wally groaned, scooting closer across the table to lean against Frank. “Not even a lil giggle?”

“No”

“A teeny tiny one?” 

“Hmm let me think-No.” 

“Okay okay but hear me out, knock knock.”

Frank held back a groan of his own, he would not give Wally the satisfaction of a reaction. 

“Im not doing this again Wallace.”

“Come on pleeeeease!”

A sigh. “Fine, whos there?”

“Hal.”

“Hal who?”

“Hal will you know if you dont open the door?” Wally exclaimed before bursting into giggles, Frank however, just rolled his eyes. Pulling his book closer to his face to hide the fact that his lips had twitched upwards at that, not necessarily because the joke was funny but because Wallys laughter was contagious 

“Seriously?” Wally chortled, wiping a tear of mirth from his eye. “Not even a little laugh? Really?”

“Perhaps” Frank hummed, turning a page. “its time to accept the fact that perhaps, you simply are not funny enough to make me laugh”

It was a lie of course, the painter could be funny at times, but he chose to come and bother frank during his reading time so Frank would choose to be a bit stubborn. 

There was silence for a moment, so long that Frank, who was worried he’d actually upset the other puppet, lowered his book to look at him. 

He found the blue haired painter looking at him, lips curled up in his signature cat-like grin. Mischief swimming in his eyes. 

“Oh? Is that a challenge~?” 

“I-I” Frank sputtered, feeling his face heat up as he lowered his book to his chest protectively. 

“Whats wrong Frankie~?” Wally purred, leaning closer to the grumpy puppet, “Cat got your tongue?” 

Frank instinctively leaned away from him. “N-Now Wallace, don’t give me that look”

“What look?” Wally hummed, cocking his head to his side. “Im just smiling at you! And you know I smile at everyone!” 

“I-I know that look Wally!” Frank stuttered, his voice betraying his own nervousness. “So dont even think about doing it!” 

“It? Ohhh you mean this~?” 

The puppet raised his hands, wiggling his fingers teasingly. Frank squeaked, face turning an even darker shade of red. 

“Wally!” 

“What?” Wally giggled. “Scared that I’m gonna….. getcha!” 

Spotting an opening the yellow puppet lunged forward and latched onto the grumpy puppets sides, gently squeezing up and down in quick ticklish bursts. 

Frank let out an uncharacteristic squeal, his book flying from his hands and landing on the floor in a heap forgotten. Frank squirmed, hands grabbing desperately onto Wallys shoulders in an attempt to push him away. Bright snort-filled laughter bubbled up from his chest and out his mouth, which was now curled up into a wide grin.

“Would you look at that!” Wally giggled “Mr ‘I don’t laugh’ is laughing! Who would have thought!”

“Nahahaha! Wally!!” 

“Yes~?”

“C-Cut it ouhohoht!” 

“Now Frankie I cant do that!” Wally tsk’d, shaking his head.  “I have to convince you that I am funny! Now have you heard the one about the chicken crossing the road?” 

As he spoke, the painter moved his hands down to gently squeezing at the grey puppets plush belly, causing him to hunch over with a giggly snort. 

“Why Frankie! I haven’t even finished the joke yet and you’re already laughing? Why I must be the funniest puppet in the neighborhood!” 

“Wallyeeehehehehe!” Frank squealed, he would have squirmed right off the bench they sat on if it weren’t for Wallys gentle albeit tickly grip on him keeping him from tumbling to the ground. 

Wally chuckled softly. “Wow Frankie!You’ve had all this laughter just building up in ya all this time? Well I guess now I gotta make sure I get it alllll out~!” 

He raised his hand to the back of Franks neck, gently fluttering his fingers. Causing Frank to scrunch up his shoulders, snorting loudly. 

“Tktktktktk~!”

“Wally plehehehehehase!!” 

Seeing the puppet was getting quickly tuckered out, Wally stilled his wiggling fingers with a giggle.

“Okay Okay! I’ll stop.” 

Though he was no longer ticking him, Wally kept Frank in his grip. Allowing the tuckered out puppet to lean against him, still giggling. A wide smile still plastered on  his face. 

Wally reached up to gently pet the top of Franks head, his normally neat hair a disheveled mess.

“Aww, there there.”

After a moment of calming the butterflies in his belly, Frank let out a groan, sitting up and sending his yellow friend a glare. He straightened his shirt collar and leaned down to pick up his discarded book with a huff, flipping to the page he had been on before he’d been interrupted, pointedly ignoring Wallys self satisfied look. 

“You, Wallace” He grumbled, face burning. “Are a disturbance to the peace.” 

“And your still smiling~” Wally purred, leaning against Frank and resting his head on his shoulder. 

The grey puppet, who was in fact smiling, simply huffed. 

“Trick of the lighting.”

“Uh huh.” Wally hummed, making himself comfortable leaned against Franks side, who simply sighed and resigned himself to the fact that his clingy painter friend wasn’t going to be leaving him anytime soon. Not that Frank could find it in himself to even mind. He might even have appreciated the company, though he’d never admit that out loud. Not like his verbal admittance was really needed, given the way he himself also made himself comfortable leaning against his friend. Enjoying the content silence of the moment at last.

“…….So did you hear that one about the dog and the stick?”

“Wally!”

"Guess who's drunk!"

"I guess Wallace..."

Scott felt the weight of his very drunk roommate plop onto the bed next to him.

"You guessed right!", he slurred into his pillow, sinking deep into the sheets with the intent of going to sleep. Scott, on any normal occasion, would have turned over and let the room fall into peaceful silence.

But he couldn't stop thinking about that girl. The one in, or from, his dreams. And it was very rare that he ever focused on anything so intently, or for so long. So, naturally, he had to tell someone about it.

Even if that someone had to be his hammered roommate.

" So- that girl from my dream-?" "Girl.. Can I pretend we're talking about a guy?"

Scott chose to ignore that little quip. Wallace, always the funny guy with the jokes...

"I saw her at the library... And then I'm at this party..."

He rambled on, staring up at the ceiling. She was so cool, and mysterious, and her hair was all... Pink. She had to be the one, right?

"- right Wallace? I mean, if she's showing up in my dreams she has to be-"

He was cut off by a finger being roughly pushed to his lips. He looked over at Wallace, who had his eyes closed and was definitely, totally not listening to him. He whined, shoving Wallace's hand away and kicking his feet, much like a child would.

"Your not even listening to me, you suuuuuuck! Just because your all gay and drunk you think your so cool..."

He mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest. Wallace sighed, opening his eyes to glare at the man next to him. "I'm sorry I don't care about your wet dreams, guy."

"They aren't wet dreams! In fact, they're very dry. They're in a desert, usually.. Deserts are dry, and sandy."

He retorted, quite lamely, and Wallace snorted through his nose, his lips quirking up into something that resembled a smile. It was probably due to the alcohol. He sat up in bed, wiping his eyes. He looked down at Scott, who was now moping, much like a child would. Wallace rolled his eyes. And maybe it was the booze, or the annoying amount of affection he had for his man-loser roommate, but he found he didn't feel like dealing with mopey Scott. He was drunk and in a weirdly giggly mood, and he wanted happy Scott. Soooo....

"Yanno, guy, iiiiii don't like how you've been glooming up my house-"

"Our house!"

"-with your sad guy attitude. So, as your best friend I have to fix that!" He said, shuffling around so he could face Scott who, in turn, raised and eye brow. "What are talking about? I don't need any fixiNG-" He cut himself off with a squeak as Wallace reached out a hand and prodded a finger into his side. He threw his hands out, feeling his cheeks heat at the shit eating grin on Wallace's face.

"Wallace, noooo! Don't- hey!"

He jolted away as Wallace delivered some poorly executed scribbles to his side. He wasn't as coordinated as he usually was, but it was still affective enough to get Scott squirming.

"Aww, cmon Scotty~ lighten up a little"

He teased, managing to land a better aimed attack, scribbling and squeezing the middle of Scotts stomach. He flailed his arms with a squeal, grabbing at Wallace's wrists. He was properly giggling now, squirming around and upsetting the bed sheets.

"You dihihihick! S- heheheh- stop! Wallace!!"

These reactions only fueled the tickly fire that was raging through Wallace's brain. He poked up and down the younger boys sides, wanting more out of him.

"What wrong, guy? It tickles? Awww, I could cry a river" he coo'd down at the mess of giggles in his hands, curling his fingers around his lower ribs. This combined with the teasing made Scott lose his head, just a bit. He threw his head back, consumed in bright, boyish laughter.

"No! Nohohohoho! You know it dohohohoes! Ahehehehehhe! "

He struggled between hiding his now rosy red cheeks and pushing Wallace's hands away. This left him in this odd back and forth movement that Wallace was finding difficult not to laugh at. In his alcohol soaked mindset, he couldn't help but chuckle along with him. He pinched and prodded at his upper ribs, delighting in the squeals it pulled from his roommate.

"Hmm, I guess your right. I do know everything, don't I?"

Scott groaned through his giggles, absolutely hating how totally stupid and mean Wallace was being right now! Wallace, meanwhile, hummed in thought, trying to think of a good way to wrap this up with a bang. Scott threw his head back against the pillows again, and ding! Lightbulb moment! Suddenly he pulled his hands away, crossing them over his chest. Scott wrapped his hands around his midriff almost instantly, panting and giggling still. Wallace allowed him to sit there for a moment, watching his chest rise and fall, heavily. Scott was mumbling random extremities under his breath, but Wallace didn't pay any mind to that.

He focused, instead, on the way the tilt of Scotts head exposed a good majority of his neck and collar bones.

"Scott?" He spoke up after he was sure the other had fallen into some sort of false security. Scott grumbled and opened his mouth to answer, but what came out instead was a shriek and Wallace suddenly leaned down and blew a raspberry right in between his neck and shoulder. It was like he was being electrocuted.

"AAAAahahahaheheh! StopstopWallacePLEHEHEHEASE!"

Another inhale. Another raspberry.

"NohoHOHOH! WALLACE! Your killing mehehehehe!"

Wallace leaned up and inhaled again, acting like he was gonna go three for three just to fuck with him and make him squeal, but he just ended up blowing the air in his face playfully instead, and Scott wrinkled his nose in protest.

He stuttered out, his voice still breathy and weak from laughing so much. He reached up to rub the tingles from his shoulder, trying to force his mouth into a frown.

Irritatingly enough, he couldn't.

Wallace laughed and flipped down on Scotts chest, spreading his arms out starfish style. "Real smooth, guy" he chuckled. Scott whined. "Whatever! What was all that for, anyway." He asked, looking down at the head of black curls on his chest. Wallace shrugged.

"We're friends, guy. I care."

He said, simply, and it was so off par for a Wallace response that Scott didn't say anything for a bit. That was probably just the wine talking.. Yeah. It made him smile a little wider, though.

"Hey, so, are you gonna turn the light off, or-?"

The only response he got was a snore. Seriously, how did he do that? He was just up and energetic like, 2 while seconds ago!

"Ok- I'll just close my eyes then. It'll be.. Dark"

And he did, but not before he rested his arm on the small of Wallace's back. Just to get comfortable, of course. Duh. Obviously. Just two guys, chilling together.

Oddly enough, he didn't dream of pink hair and deserts that night.

Scott Pilgrim Headcannons

Someone had to make some of these, and it was a sacrifice that I was willing to make 😌

This doesn’t cover all of the characters, but these are the only ones I felt confident actually creating headcannons for

Scott Pilgrim:

. Scrappy ticklish. He’s all long legs and bony arms and flailing that eventually lands someone with a black eye. 

. Doesn’t hate tickling itself, but he hates that everyone can use it against him and DOES, often

. His hips get him real bad, with his sides being a close second. 

. His laugh starts off with a slow giggle, but a couple minutes in he’ll be wheezing and gasping for his life

. Doesn’t get flustered so much as he gets embarrassed, if that makes sense. Like, tickling as a concept doesn’t fluster him, but the fact that it’s a weakness of his does

. Wallace will pretend to warm up his hands against Scott’s sides and Scott gets super giggly about it but never protests because he doesn’t want to admit it’s tickling him

Romana Flowers:

. Surprisingly ticklish for someone as aloof as she is

. Craves the affection of being tickled but will not ask for it no matter what. The fear of humiliation at the confession or worse, rejection, holds her back every time

. Her stomach and knees get her I fucking know it on a basic, intrinsic level

. Her normal laugh is breathy and soft, just this picture perfect example of what a laugh should look like, but it gets really dorky when tickled. Also she snorts. Like, a lot. An embarrassing amount. Scott would tease her about it if he wasn’t so scared of her retribution 

. Despite how much she herself likes to be tickled, I feel like she often ends up in the ler role instead due to her asshole teasy tendencies 

. Immediately found out Scott was ticklish and uses it on him all the time. She doesn’t outright tickle him so much as she’ll tease him about the prospect of potentially tickling him just to watch him shut down as he fumbles for a dignified reply

. She gets her nails done impulsively a lot (she used to bite her nails as a bad habit when she was younger, so this is her way of trying to cut the habit), and as such she usually has long, killer nails that are devastating when applied to tickling

. The most nonchalant ler on the planet, it would be annoying if it wasn’t so flustering

. Just deadpan, no smile, just that classic raised eyebrow

. “I’m not ticklish-” “No?” “No!” “You know, you’re giggling an awful lot for someone who isn’t ticklish”

Stephen Stills:

. “Pffft, ticklish, no, of course not-”

. Definitely a giggles before people even touch him kind of guy

. Tries to play it cool, but he’s so weak to anticipation and it’s so obvious to everyone in the room 

. Worst spot is his stomach/waist/sides, he giggles and curls up and shrieks and bats at the ler’s hands, it’s a whole thing

. The word only flusters him if it’s applied to him, otherwise he’s cool

. Despite this, he’s more of a ler. He tries to fuck around with the other members of the band, but 99% of them do not take his shit and he’ll get wrecked for it three times over

. The definition of the “ler-leaning switch who always gets tickled”. He IS more of a ler, people just assume otherwise (also he’s easy to get)

Kim Pine:

. Isn’t ticklish all the way until she is

. I’ve known some people that have the scary ability to just turn off their ticklishness, and Kim is definitely one of these people

. If she’s not having, it does not work

. That being said

. If she’s in the right mood and you haven’t done anything to piss her off lately, she might indulge you

. Her worst spot is her neck, which Scott discovered back when they were dating. Kim, who is notoriously not a giggler, started giggling when he strayed towards her neck, and Scott was banned from ever pulling that move again

. Does. Not. Like. Being. Tickled. At all. I genuinely cannot see her enjoying the experience

. Doesn’t really tickle people either. She’s not someone who’s very open to physical touch, so the whole concept of tickling simply doesn’t appeal to her

. The only time she’ll tickle people is if they’re being annoying and need to be taken down a notch, and even then, only for a bit to get a point across

. She’ll pinch Stephen’s or Scott’s knees if they get distracted during team meetings, which makes these affairs far more nerve-wracking than they need to be for the other band members

Young Neil:

. Standard ticklish, like, the most average joe reactions to tickling on the planet

. Doesn’t tickle others and doesn’t get tickled because let’s be honest, most people forget he’s even in the room

. Very passive about tickling. He’ll curl up and giggle if tickled, but he does very little to actually get the ler off. He has pretty decent endurance too, and has almost never tapped out before his ler has given up/decided to give him a break

. Knives tickled him a bit when they dated, but he never fought back so she eventually gave up

. Secretly really fucking likes being tickled, like, to an in the community level, but not a goddamn soul knows because no one pays enough attention to him to find out

. Stephen jabbed him in the ribs once teasingly and my man thought about it for months afterwards

Knives Chau: 

. Absolutely adores everything about tickling, on both sides

. I don’t necessarily approve of her and Scott’s relationship, but it did happen canonically, so I’m gonna talk about it here as it’s a pretty central part of both of their character arcs

. Used to tickle Scott all the time when they were dating, which is probably the closest physical contact they had outside of holding hands. Scott would entertain it for a bit, but tbh he’s far too sensitive for his own good and would usually cut it short so she didn’t realize how much of a weakness it was for him

. Scott himself was pretty shy about touching Knives in general, so I don’t think he really tickled her unless it was to get her to stop tickling him

. Not for lack of trying, mind you. As stated earlier, Knives not only tolerates but loves being tickled, and 99% of her attempted provocations went unanswered 

. Tamara and her will get into tickle fights all the time, with Knives ending up the loser more often than not

. Pretty much everywhere is ticklish, but her sides break her instantly

, The very definition of a giggler, she cannot hold a straight face for more than a second while being tickled

Wallace Wells:

. I feel like he’s be undercover ticklish. Like, he’s not technically hiding the fact that he’s ticklish, but almost no one thinks to try it so he’s won most tickle fights that have broken out in his lifetime

. For most of their relationship, Scott only knew he was ticklish in theory because Wallace had vaguely mentioned it when drunk before. 

. Doesn’t giggle unless he’s drunk. Also, on that note, significantly more ticklish when he’s drunk, and more lovey-dovey about it. The only time he’ll actually let Scott tickle him

. Cackles a lot, very wheezy, silent laughter 

. Worst spots are his ribs, thighs, and feet. The ribs one is the main one that gets him into trouble because it’s so accesible. Scott used to cling onto him when he was moping around the house and Wallace would always get super grumbly and immediatelly shove him off because his hands kept accidentally tickling

. Definitely more of a ler. Only a lee with the right people in the right circumstances

. THIS MAN

. Will fuck Scott’s shit up

. Scott is so on edge around him because Wallace has memorized the spots and he’ll just casually grab Scott’s hips. The worst part is, Scott can’t even do anything about it, because he literally can’t get Wallace off, so Wallace will just casually flex his fingers in the spot and Scott is begging and squeaking and falling back against Wallace

. He just does that randomly too, and Scott hates/loves him for it

. He’s for sure the tase you from behind kind of guy, as well as the poke you in the ribs/sides all the fucking time

. Also knows the spots for the other members of the band and most people in his life, he’s is The Ler

. Doesn’t really use them, but he fucking knows, just in case

Solid 6. You wouldn't guess it based on how good he is at keeping quiet, but he does stiffen up and flinch a lot.

usually he's the one tickling ppl cause unless u catch him off guard or plastered drunk ur not getting much of a reaction as he's good at being stoic

naw, he can say it all day. especially if it's making someone else embarrassed. especially especially if that someone else is his dorky roommate who sucks.

naw, but he does deny it. if you manage to get a reaction from him, he will straight up lie to you about it without breaking a sweat. "that never happened" says the lying liar. "must've been a weird dream you had or something" says the lying liar. you could always just try to disprove that again if you wanted

Escrever é pensar

Numa entrevista ao site Asymptote o antropólogo francês Bruno Latour contou que começou a escrever aos 13 anos em cadernos e que isso era um costume dos jovens da sua geração. Que geração é essa? Bem, é a geração da maior parte dos artistas que a gente admira. Latour nasceu em 1947, portanto, sua juventude foi nos anos 60. E você sabe o que aconteceu nos anos 60.

"Ler é um hábito que nem as crianças burguesas de hoje possuem, mas minha geração tinha. Agora é a internet e tudo mais", ele respondeu. "Na minha época, nós, crianças burguesas, escrevíamos em diários. Isso significa que meus trabalhos publicados são 0,01 por cento do que escrevi. Na verdade, eles são derivados de coisas que escrevi a partir dos treze anos de idade."

A entrevistadora pareceu incrédula, "Então você tinha mesmo o hábito de escrever todos os dias?" Latour repetiu "Sim. Desde que eu tinha 13".

"Você ainda tem esses cadernos?", insistiu ela.

"Sim. São 223 cadernos."

Eles riem. Sério, está escrito: (they laugh).

A entrevistadora, que a esse tempo perdeu todo o interesse no assunto que estavam discutindo antes, regozija "Que grande trabalho de edição seria!" se referindo à revisão do conteúdo desses cadernos. Será que ela estava se oferecendo?

Entendendo que o assunto agora era esse, Latour se entrega:

"No começo, aos treze anos, os textos eram bem juvenis. Nunca cheguei a pensar se eu era escritor ou não. Você começa escrevendo coisas estúpidas, na página seguinte algo acontece, e então na próxima... Uma coisa que costumo ensinar aos meus alunos quando dou oficina é: se você não escreve, você não pensa. Escrever faz pensar."

Traduzi esses trechos apressadamente. Em inglês funciona melhor. Ele diz: "If you don’t write, you aren’t thinking." Também diz: "You are thinking because you are writing, and the writing makes you think."

Bruno Latour comentou que encontra muitos alunos com dificuldades em desenvolver certos níveis de reflexão porque eles não têm o hábito de escrever. São os tempos em que vivemos, ele disse. Para ele, o ato de pensar não pode ser dissociado da atividade da escrita.

Essa relação entre pensar e escrever me bate profundamente. De fato, é como comecei esse texto aqui. Lendo a entrevista, me prendi neste trecho e sem saber direito o que escrever (o que pensar) resolvi registrar. Se não registrasse acabaria esquecendo, como acontece com a tonelada de informações que consumimos hoje em dia. Enquanto vou anotando esses parágrafos, as palavras vão aparecendo em cascata, conexões vão sendo feitas, ideias vão tomando forma.

Ao reescrever e revisar, um raciocínio vai surgindo. Eu vou chegando em algum lugar.

É possível subir no alto de uma montanha, admirar a paisagem e deixar os pensamentos encandearem ideias. Mas quando estou com um lápis e caderno, vou concretizando esses pensamentos, ou melhor, vou externalizando, tirando-os de mim, podendo olhar para eles e assim trabalhá-los. Uma vez o texto "pronto", leio e releio e assim aquilo que começou como um brilho intenso e sem forma volta para dentro de mim construído e organizado.

Se escrever é pensar, então ler é pensar junto. É pensar com outra cabeça.

É lugar comum ouvir pessoas dizerem que usam determinadas substâncias psicodélicas pela sensação de "sair de si", de "viajar", de pensar o que não pensariam num estado normal. Sinto que realizo todo esse deslocamento enquanto estou lendo. Como disse David Foster Wallace, há uma coisa que a literatura pode fazer que outras formas de arte não podem: adentrar na experiência interior de outra subjetividade, estabelecer uma conversa íntima entre duas consciências.

O efeito quando bate expande meus recursos. Na maioria dos casos, em tempo estendido. A onda dura mais que o ato da leitura. Às vezes dura a vida toda. Nunca mais voltei a ser o mesmo de antes após ler Crime e Castigo, por exemplo.

A entrevista é muito mais longa e eles discorrem sobre vários assuntos, mas esse momento foi tão destacado que Latour fez questão de enviar (ou foi a pedidos da entrevistadora, não sei) uma foto dos seus cadernos guardados no armário. Não há nenhuma outra foto na entrevista inteira, apenas essa ali no meio, pontuando o momento.

Esse papo todo mexe comigo porque eu também comecei a escrever jovem, aos 14 anos, diários, poesia, contos. De lá pra cá mantive o hábito de escrever em cadernos como se minha vida dependesse disso. Guardo-os em uma mala embaixo da minha mesa de trabalho e consulto-os de vez em quando. São cadernos de observação, como o título desta newsletter. Aliás, como isso daqui. Aqui e lá, formam um espaço de aprendizado e conhecimento. Mais do que dinheiro, imóveis ou bens, esses cadernos são meu tesouro.

Não há coisa pior do que ter um problema, procurar a seção de ajuda dum site e ver ali todo tipo de resposta, menos o que responda sua dúvida dentro do contexto. Aí entra o help desk/suporte humano pra fazer a diferença.

Os assistentes de software, que fazem perguntas em etapas, tentando dar solução ao problema, padecem desse mesmo problema dos livros eletrônicos ou ajuda: não entram no contexto mas dão direções do que pode ser feito.

O site do W3C não reinventou a roda, mas conseguiu juntar num único lugar o melhor desses dois mundos oferecendo texto explicativo sobre um assunto (uma marcação HTML de acessibilidade), mas organizado como um assistente de software:

a ajuda é listada em tópicos mas em forma de perguntas (como um ser humano faria) do tipo "a imagem contém texto"?

a pergunta tem 2 opções: ela não se aplica ao problema ou ela sim (se aplica).

Se não se aplica, continue (vá para a pergunta seguinte);

Se aplicar, algumas perguntas relacionadas são feitas e sugestões são oferecidas nesse contexto (ex.: "o texto na imagem tem relação ao texto na página?" então "digite um texto no campo ALT da imagem, para descrevê-la")

E assim segue até esgotarem as perguntas possíveis/oferecidas e respostas, contextualizadas.

Essa solução chega a ser revolucionária, pois reúne num só lugar o que antes existia em páginas de ajuda (respostas objetivas a um problema) e fórum de discussão (perguntas e respostas contextualizadas) de modo separado.

Allura sempre fora uma pessoa calma. Quando criança sempre gostara de brincar, correr, subir em arvores ou fazer peraltices, como todas as crianças, no entanto ela também gostava da calmaria, também se contentava em apenas se sentar e ler um bom livro, estudar ou escrever. Ela era o tipo de pessoa que acreditava que a na vida era importante ter um balanço. Contudo, desde sua chegada no palácio ela se sentia inquieta, extremamente hiperativa. Talvez fosse seu lado curioso gritando para explorar todos os cantinhos que fossem e era por isso que agora ela se encontrava voltando dos jardins para dentro do palácio quando parara naquela enorme varanda do lado de fora na qual haviam mesas prontas para acomodar um café da manhã ou acha da tarde.
