Warrior season 3, Young Jun won my heart. That man showed immense strength when he had to kill the most precious person to him, his father, the legendary Father Jun.
Tumblr media
His loyalty and respect for Ah Sahm is unquestionable. The fact that he said Ah Sahm to not come along with them and "no one should have to kill their own family", it showed how he cared for the bitch who went on his back and snitched.
Tumblr media
Young Jun never blamed Ah Sahm for his father's death when it was his savior complex which cost Father Jun's life. After Mai Ling revealed his identity Young Jun never abandoned him and his trust in Ah Sahm never faltered even though his sixth sense was constantly telling him he might betray. Young Jun was the one who vouched for Ah Sahm when Father Jun and whole of Hop Wei was against him. Young Jun gave him his undying loyalty and took him under his wing when his own sister refused to take him, but what did Ah Sahm do the minute he got an opportunity to payback with loyalty, he fucking backstabbed him. That hurt Young Jun more than his father's death.

Warrior Thought
Warrior season 3 episode 8
Yeah I know it’s a bit late but I had to process my fucking Feels
I can’t believe Hoon Lee was like “It’s a break from the drama! More happy and romantic!”
HE IS AN EVIL MASTERMIND (because he wrote this episode)
The Chinese celebrating love and the ducks celebrating hate/racism.
“Maybe we’ll finally see the tongs come together” hopefully because Fuckley out there making racist ass Trump speeches to “cleanse” the country
The costumes and visuals in Warrior are fucking amazing! Mai Ling and Li Yong in their wedding attire! Ah Toy in PURPLE yesss!
Li Yong getting hit with sticks to show his devotion to Mai Ling. Li Yong sparring  with Kạn Pak. Foreshadowing for later.
Ah Toy hates weddings, why? Because she’s an inherently pessimistic person? Because they’re a painful reminder of her husband? I just know for sure that she’d let Nellie wife her up in a heartbeat
SHUT UP WE GOT HONG AND AH TOY TOGETHER FOR A HOT MINUTE
Hong: “This food is so good mom!”
Ah Toy: “Mmmhmm cool, I’m thinking about murder and my wife.”
Ah Toy looking at Ah Sahm and Yan Mi. Supporting him like he supported her and Nellie! I love their dynamic as platonic besties and confidantes.
Those fuckers just couldn’t leave Ah Toy alone! I was NOT expecting her to go cannibal and bite his nose off! That fan blade omggg SLAY QUEEN
Hoon, “romantic and happy” means nothing to me without Ah Toy/Nellie. If Bill’s wife can miraculously come back last season, Nellie can too damn it. Ah Toy was like “Its safer in Chinatown” but every episode has her getting attacked and stressing about her shoulder. Like babe he’s already won if could make you give up your wife and happiness to go back to Chinatown. OK really looks like Lai is gonna go after Dickland herself next episode. So maybe  Ah Toy will fight him in the finale. DON’T KILL LAI
I KNEW this would happen with Father Jun and YJ! At some point, YJ will have to put him out of his misery. Ughh my heart!
Ah Sahm is still cursed in the romance department, huh? Young Jun is out for Yan Mi and the cops are on her trail, too. I hope she won’t die and just leave the city.
Li Yong, the elders are actually being very reasonable here. They’re just asking for better communication and less crazy decisions! He’s such a malewife for Mai Ling. Like I get it, he knows her and her story like nobody else. But come on, dude. You’re gonna regret it.
So not a Red Wedding…but a Red Honeymoon. Warrior is very good at creating fight scenes that matter. They have stakes, they drive the story and the characters forward. Li Yong killing his best friend to protect Mai Ling was so emotional! He even yelled at Mai Ling to get out! That’s how you know he finally broke. How much more is he willing to sacrifice for her and love? Chao was right, love has consequences.
Mai Ling is a complicated bad bitch. She’s ruthless and power-hungry. But her feelings for Li Yong and Ah Sahm are real, deep down. At this rate, she’s gonna push away everyone who could be an ally. Can’t wait to see how this will affect her and Li Yong.
The second biggest fight was Bill vs Chief Atwood. I must say, Bill’s been growing on me this season. He was the only one who gave a shit when Atwood was terrorizing the Chinese. The other cops are just mad that he’s punishing their people, too. Still, 5 years in prison for stealing some food is ludicrous. Atwood is an evil menace for everyone, white or Chinese.  I’ve been waiting all season for Bill to beat the shit out of him! Too bad it’s gonna bite him in the ass later.
Wdym there’s only 2 more episodes?? Didn’t season 3 just premiered like yesterday???
This season feels a lot darker or is it just me? Fuckley is mayor and everything is falling apart. Nobody is even remotely ok

The White Devil's Daughter Chapter 1
(So this is my first chapter about my OC who's based on a real historical hero named Tien Fuh Wu. Chao speaks both Cantonese and English in this chapter. Also, for those who don't know Duck is slang for white people, Bull means police officer, chop means money.)
Ten Years Ago, In San Francisco's Chinatown
The last place on earth that the 35-year-old Nellie Davenport expected to be in was a Chinese brothel. It was the most ungodly place she had ever seen. One of the two officers who attended to her had already spewed from the stench of the opium den upstairs. It was the policeman Bill O'Hara. She used her handkerchief to shield her nose from the offensive odor. The Noblewoman carefully stepped through the dark dank hallway as she tried her best to ignore the vulgar, disgusting moans emanating from various rooms and the scowls of the Asian men who operated this place.
"He is in this room Mrs. Davenport," Chao told her in his broken English. He guided her and the two police officers inside. Chao had been hired by the Fung Hai to be a translator and help the ducks pick up the corpse of an aristocrat. The quicker they left, the better for business. Within the dingy little room, curled up on a cot was the dead body of the famous Mr. Davenport.
Nellie walked through the doorway and saw her husband. However, the new widow’s expression showed no hint of grievance, only pure disgust.
 "I see... How long-"
Her question was interrupted by a soft sob. They all looked in the direction where the whimpering came from. Nellie's heart fell to her stomach at what she saw. Sitting in the corner of the room was a young girl. She looked no older than fourteen. Her knees were tucked under her chin, and her face was hidden in her arms. She was shaking badly. She had dark brown hair, and her skin was a sickly rice white. She was wearing a tattered cheongsam that hung on her thin frame. Nellie stepped closer to the unfortunate thing and knelt in front of her. She soon noticed the numerous cuts, scars, and burns on the girl's arms and legs.
The two officers looked as aghast as Nellie. Bill gasped out, "Jesus Fucking Christ! What did they do to her?!" Bill was no fan of the Chinese, God himself knew that to be a fact. Nevertheless, seeing this Chinese girl who looked half-dead struck a chord in him that he didn't even know existed. Chao avoided looking at her.
"W-who...is this?" Nellie stuttered from shock as she studied the girl with pitiful sorrow.
"This the prostitute that was with you husband before he die. He must have died when with her."
"Prostitute?! This is a child!" She scowled. Chao bit back a sneer. He was repulsed by the yellow trade as much as anyone else with a shred of morality but, what could he do about it? This was simply another ugly truth in Chinatown’s underworld that society refuses to acknowledge.
Nellie had known that her so-called Christian husband loved spending his free time in brothels. However, she did not know that it would be this type of brothel. She knew how the sick bastard secretly got immense pleasure from hurting others. Especially the weak and defenseless. She herself had been on the receiving end of his sadism. But even she was shocked that he could be depraved enough to hurt this girl like that. She diverted her attention back to the teen girl before her.
"Can you understand me? It's going to be okay" Nellie cooed, her voice was now as soft as a feather. The little girl's face slowly lifted from her arms. Nellie slowly reached to touch her face, but the girl fearfully jerked away.
"It's okay Dear, you don't need to be afraid...I won’t hurt you."
"Mrs. Davenport," Chao tried to get her attention. The noblewoman just ignored him, so he tried again. "Mrs. Davenport-"
"-She needs to see a doctor immediately." Nellie interrupted. It seemed that she forgot that her husband’s body was even in the room. The young girl's teary eyes darted from Nellie's face to Chao's to the Police’s then to Batu. She shriveled up more when she met her owner’s gaze.
Chao's professional expression morphed into annoyance. "Mrs. Davenport, I no think that necessary."
"How can you be so apathetic? She is suffering!"  Nellie scolded his nonchalant attitude
The Peking’s owner, Batu had been watching from the hall. He was also the Fung Hai's leader Pai's brother. Like Pai, he was built like a bear and had the temper of one too. Before Chow could respond to Davenport, Batu whistled to get his attention. Chao quickly excused himself from the three and approached him.
"Why Ducks still here?" He growled in the little Cantonese he knew. Like most other Fung Hai, he spoke mostly Mongolian.
"The Duck Lady is concerned for your girl."
"She none of their business! Make them go, Chao!" He demanded. Chao bit back a scowl and turned back to the three Ducks. The three of them now gathered around the miserable girl. He cleared his throat.
"I suggest we leave." Chao urged but again Davenport took no notice of him. Instead, she tried again to comfort the girl. Chao's patience was wearing thin, so he spoke again. "Miss Davenport, we must get you husband and-"
"Very well, we’re leaving now." She interrupted him again, Davenport straightened up and turned to Bill. "Officer if I may, I would like to borrow your coat."
Bill gave up his coat to her. She took the coat and warmly wrapped it around the shoulders of the girl. "Come on now Dear, let’s get you to a doctor." Nellie then helped her off the ground. The girl hesitantly clung to her. Bill then began to lead them towards the door.
"What you doing now?” Chao asked exasperated.
“Getting this child, the proper medical care she needs.”
“You not do that. She not yours.” He argued. The argument was cut short by Bill.
“You heard the Lady, Chao. Now let's get the girl, the corpse, and get the fuck out of this godforsaken place.”
The angry Fung Hai enforcers blocked them. Bill and the other bull began to get itchy. The other bull ordered the two Fung Hai guards to clear the hall and he put his hand on his holster. He was ready to draw the moment things went south. The Mongolian enforcers stood their ground. A deadly tension settled in the room.
"Chao, tell them to move." Bill ordered. Chao looked at the enraged Batu.
"Tell those devils that the little bitch is mine! She is my property!" He roared in Mongolian at Chao. The underground salesman began regretting ever taking this job in the first place. Something always went wrong whenever he worked with Fung Hai. He exhaled deeply and recomposed himself. He then put himself in between the two hostile groups.
“We all calm down. No need violence.” He then looked at Batu. “You know that if you dice these Bulls, you’re as good as dead.” He tried to reason with Batu in Cantonese. This did not seem to calm the enraged giant down. He glowered down at Chao.
“They steal what mine!” He snapped back; spit flew from his mouth like a feral animal. He was practically frothing at the mouth.
“Don’t throw your life away over one slave girl Batu. You dice two of San Francisco’s finest, the Ducks won’t just hang you; they’ll hunt down all of the Fung Hai too.” Chao replied as he grossly wiped some off his cheek.
To his surprise, Batu considered this. "She my favorite girl. Not easy to break her in."
"I'm sure you'll find another."
“They pay for her, one hundred."
Chao nodded and turned back to Nellie. “You want her, you must pay one hundred dollars.” He then told her in English.
“I will not purchase her like some slave!”
“But that what she is. You not in Sonoma Miss. Davenport. This Chinatown...things different here...”  Davenport scowled at both Chao and the Fung Hai but she reached into her purse and slapped money in Chao’s hands, who afterward passed it to Batu. As soon as Batu finished counting the chop. he barked at his guards to allow the three to pass.
The girl's heart pounded from terror as they made their way out of the brothel and past the opium den. She feared her master would come after her and drag her back into that hellhole. The moment she exited the building the girl was so overcome with so many different emotions that she fell to her knees and beheld the vibrant blue sky. She squinted her eyes as they adjusted to the sunshine that now enveloped her. She looked like a wilted flower in the sun. It was nice, warm, and comforting on the girl’s skin. The air was refreshing and the sounds of the bustling town filled her ears. She hadn't seen the sky or the sun since she was ten. Tears streamed down her face as the feeling of liberation and relief washed over her entire being.
"What is your name Dear?" Nellie asked gently.
The white woman’s voice pulled the girl back into reality. She looked over at Chao dumbfounded at what the she had said to her.
"She's asking for your name." He told her in Cantonese. After a long pause she uttered out her name in a thick accent.
"W-wu...Tien Fuh Wu..."
