I would like to preface this with a disclaimer that I do not own TMNT and I am not a writer! This is a collection of all the Raphael writings I can find, so it would be easier to binge-read for my favorite turtle. Last Updated: 17 April 2024

I'm so behind asks, I feel like I blinked and this one was over a week old! I hope you don't mind me replying in English for a couple of reasons - firstly, because I genuinely have no idea how to conjugate anything to gender neutral in Russian without defaulting to the royal 'we', and second because I can't spell very well, oops.

There are a surprisingly large number of Russian-speaking folks in fandom (especially the Hazbin fandom), it's always really awesome to see! Even if I am personally somewhat limited in my communications.

Sometimes I wonder whether the cancellation wasn't positive in its own way.

We went out on a high, so there were chances that whatever came next might not match those expectations; we were left with quite a few unanswered questions, which can be inspiring both for those of us who write fic as well as those who try to read more deeply into the show; there are blanks that facilitate a fic writer's making use of them which might have been filled in less satisfying ways should canon have failed to live up to what we each wanted of it...

But I suppose it's easier to look at it like this from the point of view of someone who is invested in creating her own little versions and what-ifs concerning her favourite characters in the show. For someone who is just a reader or who just appreciates all the ways in which fan creativity manifests itself without much taking part in it, I guess there's a bit more dependence on canon.

one of my favourite character relationship dynamics, platonic romantic or anything, is when two characters are absolutely the bestest of best friends and when one is hurt or something the other will scream and cry and wail and explode and when the other is in danger then the first one will go on some kind of silent terminator-esque rampage about it. besties (do no separate)

Thank you! I'm very flattered! I'm also very embarrassed to say I underestimated the interest - I assumed it would be just me and a couple of my friends on here who would want them. I saw that the Gulo Gulo Geeks had to mark the item as currently 'sold out', and if I had to hazard a guess, I'm betting they weren't expecting the sudden influx of orders and couldn't handle all of them at once. Please remember guys this isn't a hugely staffed corporation, this is just a very nice couple with what is probably a small side business who likes geeky things (I found them through their amazing Jurass*c Park patches). And remember, I was quite serious - I have zero involvement in selling these. I bought mine (the 50$ original custom patch option plus 20+ for the extra practice patch and geno's) and I'm done lol! I haven't heard anything from them, so I imagine once they get through the current orders the item will probably go back on sale. I do know they had to custom order some thread colors for this patch, so if they ran out of that it could take a few extra days.

I feel like with the influx of mainstream fan merch, sometimes we forget that custom creators are actually human and not merchandising machines :( Just have a little patience, and pay your artists cause they're probably not charging enough for their time/effort anyway <3

Ykno the common critique I've seen around is that trimax fights r hard to follow & such. And I've always had the kind of thought of like "I mean sometimes it can be confusing, but if u stop to study it it's really not that bad"

Having a fight analysis post kinda blow up tho I'm seeing ppl comment over and over in the tags about how hard it is to keep up with the fights... and I'm just like. Is it really that confusing? Like genuinely. I thought it was one of those overblown fan critiques but it seems like a Lot of people agree with it.

hmm... i dont want to lock myself in to super long chapters but the need to swap around the chapter breaks to up the drama is so strong

#i've been breaking chapters up approximately every ten pages of drafting so far #which usually word count geeeenerally doubles when i translate from outline to actual writing #so i'm looking at like probably a 6k average wordcount per chapter right now #which i think is nice and manageable #BUUUUUUUUT..... i do prefer to break chapters in terms of plot rather than in terms of length #BUTx2!!!!!!!!! i don't want to lock myself in to really long chapters cus they're kind of tiring. #but x 3 i don't want to slap breaks in for the sole purpose of 'yeah this is long enough cut it here' cus #like i said i prefer my breaks to depend on plot rather than length #idk. either way i'm going to adjust the chapter breaks once i actually finish outlining cus i'll have a better idea of the bigger picture #i'm just kind of publicly musing i guess #i probably will end up committing to longer chapters if that's what it takes to keep the plot broken up in a neater manner #throwback to 2019 when my strategy was 'i'll post a chapter every 2.5k' #can you fucking imagine #the negligible self would have been like 30 something chapters LOL #i did not know what the hell i was doing back then #hence why i imploded and deleted everything lol but we r back and we r thriving baby
