Appears from some some hole: I have something again ^^
Aka Freminet as Spiderman which was my part from a collab on Instagram- an event hosted by furret_waffle and neighborhood_dirt_lord on instagram
Spider Freminet facts n lore
- he is a hero of both under and above the water
- lyney was the first to know (soon followed by lynette) and became asap his brother in the chair and behind the scenes helper
- lyney designed the outfit but the whole thing was mainly made by freminet
- .... canon event .... sorry lynette (but heyyy lynette robot theory is canon in this world)
- the diving helmet is pretty much akin to the in game one tho it services also as a communication device and etc.
- sometimes in dire situation where talking oneself out, lyney always helps + voice changer
- mini penguin robots as spy devices and more
- freminet is not a big fan of the spotlight of being Spiderman but helping out everyone makes it worth it

Ft Lynette, being the best wing woman in the history of teyvat.
PART 2 ✄: Lovesick pt.2
Tumblr media
Lynette was always supporting Lyney. Whether it was behind the scene or in front of the audience of their spectacular magic shows. Always wanting the best for her brother, silently looking out for him (although she may not show it directly on her face).
But there were some situations where she could not back up her dear brother.
Said ‘situation’ being her brother's ridiculous one-sided crush on you, a stranger turned friend that Lynette had met while shopping for some new tea brews. You, a fellow tea enthusiast, passing by recommended her some of your favorites. Which ended in a lengthy conversation between you and her about the teas of the world.
Now this wasn’t the usual silly crush Lyney would have that only lasted (at best) 1 week. No he was horrendously down bad. Even Lynette, who had no experience in the romance department mind you, could notice her brother's admiration to you immediately. Hell she could probably spot his stupid heart eyes all the way from Celestia.
It was only a matter of time until the entirety of Fontaine and their grandmothers and children knew of Lyney’s infatuation with you.
This led her to her current predicament.
“Lynette please, do your lovely, wonderful and majestic brother one favor! Introduce me to your ethereal friend from earlier!”  Her brother dramatically whined. Clinging to his sister's leg like it was his lifeline.
“I would if you weren’t being such a creep about them, you’ll scare them away if you meet them in such a state.” Lynette grumbled.
Even Freminet, who usually kept to himself started to feel bad for Lyney.
“Lynette, it wouldn’t hurt to introduce Lyney to Y/N, would it?” He asked. Looking down at Lyney who was close to tears.
“Thank you Freminet! See Freminet sides with me!”  Lyney exclaims, gesturing to Freminet, who is quietly sitting in a chair minding his own business.
“Fine, I’m meeting them today at Café Lucerene. I’ll introduce you to them there, okay Lyney?” Lynette sighed in annoyance (though she was a little happy since she’s never seen her brother so mesmerized with someone.) As soon as she says those words, his face lights up almost immediately, the signs of sadness are long gone from his face. Lyney jumps up to Lynette to go in for a hug. A hug that she swiftly dodges with a sour expression.
“I truly owe you my beloved sister! But before that mind helping me pick out a few strategies to greet Y/N? I can’t fumble my charming first appearance with my future lover, can I?” Lyney giggles, like a young school girl in love Lynette thinks.
“Fine…” Lynette murmurs.
——
By preparing, Lynette thought her brother would only ask her opinion on how to greet you or what to compliment about you first.
She didn’t mean to agree helping out her brother immaculately plan a custom-made show for you.
“Lynette! Which bird should I pull out of my hat? The classic magician favorite, the pigeon? Or the epitome of love, the dove? Or maybe my dearest may prefer one of those weird exotic birds from Sumeru? What were they called again?” Lyney pondered for a second before Lynette interrupted his thinking.
“You mean the dusk bird?” Lynette quips.
“Yes that one! Or maybe something bigger? Like a sumpter beast? Or even better a Phantasm-“
“Lyney! You are not summoning dangerous beasts through your hat, also what if they attack Y/N?” Lynette says as she rubs her head. Maybe Lyney's stupidity was finally starting to rub on to her.
“Hmm, you have a point a suppose, however would I marry them if they were buried 6 ft below me.” Lyney dramatically exclaims placing his hand on his forehead.
Lynette sometimes worries about her brother these days, ever since he met you, he keeps feeding himself delusions that you two were meant to be. He even had a whole life plan for the two of you, he decided that your first child should be named Lyney/Lynette jr (depending on if they were a boy or girl, her brother had said) .
“Wait a moment… Lynette I have the most spectacular idea, listen closely.” Lyney blurted out, an imaginary light bulb appearing on his head.
——
Now here she was, hiding at a nearby table at the Café she and you were supposed to meet. Originally you two would meet here to exchange tea brews you found over the week and have a brief talk about them. But this time it was different.
The first part of the sibling's elaborate plan was to tell you that Lynette was sick so her brother Lyney came to pick up the tea instead.
So here Lyney is standing near the table, patiently waiting for (his soon-to-be) love of his life to arrive. As if on cue you arrive and Lyney is already enchanted with your appearance. Ogling at you like a hopless person in love. Lynette had never cringed so hard in her life.
Lynette has to stop the insane urge to groan at her brother's antics.
“Hi Lynette, the green tea this time is- Oh? You’re not Lynette? “ You say in confusion, staring at the young man in front of you. You had seen him before on posters and the front page of The Steambird and all that, so you were surprised at the least to see a famous face instead of Lynette (who was also famous, but that aside)
“Greetings, exquisite friend of my sister.” Lyney bows, but as he tips his hat a swarm of doves fly out of his hat. “I am Lyney, Lynette’s brother.” He says as he magically makes a bouquet of rainbow roses appear in his hand, and gives them to you.
Who knew Lynette's brother was such a charmer.
“Oh hello, nice to meet you Lyney. I’m Y/N” You say politely flashing him a smile (one which made his stomach do flips)
“No need to introduce yourself, I’ve heard so much about you from my sister.” He says, revealing a charming smirk of his own.
“ I see, if I may ask where is Lynette today?” you ask out of curiosity, looking around searching for your fellow tea lover. (sorry if you don't like tea)
“Ah, sadly my darling sister is sick today, so I have come instead of her to pick up the tea. I accepted the offer as soon as she mentioned it. Who would want to miss the opportunity to meet a person as beautiful as yourself.” He comments, gently holding your hand as he brings it up to his mouth to kiss the front of your hand.
Lynette was praying to Celestia and all the beings above that her brother would choke on his own spit.
“Why, thank you.” You say, not expecting to be drowned in compliments by this stranger. Your demeanor goes from calm to slightly flustered in a matter of minutes. (I mean who wouldn't with Lyney around, honestly)
Lynette internally wonders what could you ever possibly see in that obnoxious brother of hers?
For a while you two engage in a friendly conversation about simple things like the weather and so on. Soon enough you two get more comfortable as Lyney starts to show you a variety of magic tricks.
"No way you're actually getting my card-"
"Is this your card?"
"You weren't joking-"
Lynette sighs as she starts preparing for phase 2.
The second part of their scheme was to get Lynette to conjure a strong gust of wind to knock you off your feet so that Lyney could catch you and scoop you up. Like in those popular plays.
This much should be enough. Lynette thinks to herself as she summons a gust of wind headed straight to your direction. Aimed at you of course.
But what is this? The wind blows a little off track and hits Lyney instead.
The next few seconds were like they were in slow motion, Lyney has a surprised expression on his face as he plummeted down to the floor. Lynette is laughing at her brother. Holding her stomach and rolling on the floor (an unusual sight for the people watching the scene unfold, only used to the cool and composed Lynette.)
That is until you grab Lyney into your arms last second and suspend him a few centimeters above the ground.
Would you look at this? Lynette thinks.
The plan had completely backfired.
Oh well, her brother would be delighted with the results either way.
“Are you okay Lyney?” You ask concern lacing your voice.
Lyney thinks his name never sounded prettier than when it came from your lips, with your voice.
“Yeah I am, sorry about that.” The usually flirty and confident magician is nowhere to be found. His cheeks were tinted with a rosy hue of pink as his mind went in spirals.
“No problem, it was nothing.”
An awkward yet (sort of) romantic silence envelopes both of you. The two you staring at each other's eyes and shyly glancing at each other for a few minutes.
Lynette was a hair away from barfing up all of her breakfast and possibly her internal organs.
You were the first to snap out of the trance like state.
“Well, I have to go soon… I’ll see you later I guess?” You ask, waving your farewells to the blonde. Slowly heading back home.
“Yeah, see you later.”  Lyney waves back, a smile adorning his gorgeous facial features.
Lynette pops out of her hiding spot, and takes a metal note of her brothers' expression.
“You’re down bad, aren’t you?”
“Lynette!”

With a devious plot to flirt with your boyfriend in hand you didn't expect him to react the way he did...
N: don't tell the nurse I'm out again 😡 event link here
Warnings: bit suggestive, no rizz pick up lines/j
Tumblr media
"How fast do you think they'll be on the steambird" "with how Charlotte is? Give her a few days" "I bet an hour" Lynette casually sips her tea while Freminet wipes his helmet. You've been waiting for Valintines day to roll around, gifts already made for him, wrapped to the best of your ability. It's been a while since he's seen you after you've went to inazuma, knowing him he's probably crying to Lynette about it, a thought crossed your mind to be uncharacteristically flirtatious with him, imagining him mutter and blush wildly couldn't help but get a small smirk outta you, arriving at the doc, you walk through fontaine knowing you'll be eventually stopped by a certain magican
"MA CHÉRIE" was what read the card that just so happened to magically float next to you. "You've learned another way of greeting me" Noticing the arms squeezing around your waist, lyney squishing his face into your shoulder. "I've missed you too my love" "I missed you more" you giggle at his reaction patting his head "I've brought sweets, but i dont know if they'll be as sweet as you but I'm sure you'll like them" he hugs you tighter felling his chest move as if he were giggling. "I'll gladly try them" finally lifting his face to look at yourse, cheeks brushed with blush with a sly smile streaked across his face. "I'm sure I'll enjoy them" Uncharacteristically, he holds your hand while walking with you, he usually kisses you then holds your hand, so you do it for him *chu* taking the lead you walk with him his hand in yours with a flustered magician following behind
"How have you been, ma chérie?" "Great I have pictures, trinkets, and mostly snacks that I thought Lynette would love with tea" "you're quite considerate" "Why shouldn't I be they're my inlaws after all" managing to fluster him more he turns his face away from you "why, were not even married" holding your hands, and tapping his shoe into the ground, too bashful to even look in the eyes. "Hm" you pull gently at his hands "would you like to be" he pulled back suddenly, widened eyes while almost being fully red in the face. "Your eyes are wavering my love" "don't notice that" "it's cute!" "Ughhh" hiding his face into your chest you pat his head. "There there" he seems to giggle lightly
Giving Lynette and Ferminet the sweets and showing them the trinkets you got, Lynette couldn't help but notice her brothers flustered face. "Called it" mumbling under her breath she looks to Freminet, understanding her near instantly he backed away getting out of his chair. "Me and Lynette have gifts for you aswell I'll go find them" Lynette stands following him, calm eyes meeting the flustered magicans, a smirk underneath his hand. "I have something for you aswell follow me" taking your hand, he leads you to his room
Closing the door behind him, he takes the hat off putting it on your head. "You know exactly what to say to fluster someone" he kisses your cheek, letting you sit on his bed. "I'm embarrassed to know I can get flustered like that" he continues on kissing almost randomly along your face. "I'll get you for that" gripping your hands, he leans into your ear "Times a million"

"Meeting Father"
☆Part 2 of the the Navia fic.
☆Warnings: Arlecchino scaring Navia, Navia being flirty, wholesome moments between you and the twins and Freminet and Arlecchino, implied Arlecchino x Colombina, Emotional/soft Arle.
Tumblr media
The nation of Fontaine was lively as ever. You walked around your home town, taking in the view of nation that you were born and raised in. You had Freminet holding you hand while Lyney and Lynette walked infront of you, giving you a run down of how much has changed. You don't have much time since your father had called you into her office to discuss something which you had no idea about but you asked her for some time to spend with the kids. "Well older sister, when are you going to tell father about you and miss president?" Lyney had a slight teasing tone.
"I don't know. I'm scared she won't accept Navia," you sighed.
"Well father kept asking us if we saw anything out of the odd going on with you," Lynette spoke up as she sat down on a bench. You joined her and placed Freminet on your lap since Lyney took the remaining spot.
"Did you tell her anything?"
"Well you asked us not to tell so we didn't."
"Um..," Freminet fidgeted with his finger, "I... may have told...father."
Lyney choked on his saliva and you and Lynette stared at him wide eyed. "Oh dear god..."
"I guess we now know why she wants to discuss something with you," Lyney choked out as his twin patted him on the back. You let out a groan of fear and frustration and you didn't realize Freminet was crying until you felt him shaking.
"Hey hey why are you crying?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you don't father to know. B-besides, she called me into her office and I didn't want to lie. I'm sorry for crying and I'm sorry for ratting you out. Please don't be mad." He managed to speak to fluently until he sobbed at the end of his statement.
Lyney and Lynette looked at each other and then at you. They knew how scary you can be when you're angry and after all- you are the smallest version of Arlecchino, only more loving than she can be.
"I'm not mad Fremmy... I'm just kinda scared. I mean you know how father can be," you whispered softly as you kissed his head. Lyney wiped away Freminet's tears and Lynette held his hand, trying to offer some type of comfort to their baby brother.
"Big sis will never get mad at you or us. She loves us too much." Lyney was proud of his statement which only made you chuckle.
"You should head over to father now, you don't wanna make her more mad."
"You're right Lynette, take care of Fremmy while I'm gone okay." With a kiss to each of their foreheads, you left.
You stood infront of Father's office, taking in a deep breath before knocking. A sharp 'come in' was heard and you began trembling in your wits. When Arlecchino saw it was you, something changed. You gulped as you stepped forward and bowed.
"Care to tell me why I don't know you're seeing someone? Take a seat." Her sharp authoritive tone made a chill ran down your spine. You sat in the soft chair.
"F-father I-I must apologise for not telling you. I was and still am scared that you won't be supportive of my relationship."
Arlecchino arched her eyebrows, "and why is that? Is there a reason why I wouldn't be supportive? I wouldn't have been angry if you had informed me earlier but having to hear it from someone, it... it's heartbreaking."
Your eyes widened upon hearing her statement. "F-father-"
"Do you not trust me y/n? I understand I can be scary at times but I told you that you can come to me anytime."
"I'm so sorry father! I really am! I do trust you but I was scared that you won't accept her since she's not a fatui..."
"You don't need to love a Fatui, you can love whoever you want, as long as they won't break your heart. That's all that matters," Arlecchino got up and stared through the window, her back facing you. "However, I still won't accept it unless..."
"Unless?"
"Unless I meet her. Bring her to me tomorrow and I will decide if its worth supporting or not. You are dismissed."
"Of course Father." With another bow, you left her office. Arlecchino still stared through the window, but a single tear fell and a smile made it's way onto her face.
"My baby is growing up," she whispered.
The next day, you and Navia sat in Arlecchino's office, Lyney on your right, Lynette on your left and Freminet behind you. Arlecchino came in shortly after and you four bowed at her. Navia looked confused but still bowed as she wanted to make a good impression.
"You must be the one who captured my daughter's heart?"
"Yes. I'm Navia, the president of Spina di Rosula," Navia stuck out her hand and Arlecchino reprociated the action. Arlecchino then dismissed the kids, leaving the adults alone.
"That's quite impressive miss Navia. A very popular organisation indeed, however, I don't remember you being the president a couple of years ago."
"No ma'am. That was my father, unfortunately he was recently killed, leaving me to take over." Navia's voice cracked as she spoke. It was hard to bring up her father. You noticed this and grabbed her hand, rubbing a soothing thumb across her knuckles. Arlecchino also noticed this and didn't press further on the topic.
"I'm so sorry for your loss. What are your intentions with my daughter?"
"Well, I really love her alot. She's the one who stood there for me when I lost my father, she's always been there for me and I want to protect and cherish her. She's a gem and the love of my life."
Arlecchino seemed slightly pleased with her answer. "Well, I should tell you this, my daughter is a part of an important organisation that will always need her. It's one of danger and she's always busy so I hope you won't distract her from her mission or whatsoever."
"I wouldn't. Whatever she has to do, I'll be here to support her. I understand how hectic the Fatui is and I assure you, I will try my best not to distract her." Your eyes widened, how did she know?
"Hmm. Very well mannered, polite, lovable," Arlecchino took a deep breath before speaking. "I approve."
"What?! Really Father?!"
"Father?"
"I'll explain later."
Arlecchino smiled slightly before nodding. "But before we move on, I want you to promise me this, when Y/n takes over as the head of the House of Hearth, she will have alot of duties, her title will also be known as 'Father' so I would like for you to be there for her and... act the role of 'mother' for the children. They currently have a mother but she's all the way in Snezhnaya."
The smile on Navia's face widened and she beamed with joy but her joy faded away when Arlecchino's eyes turned dark. "If you ever break her heart, I will terminate the entire of your organisation and you as well along with any traces that it was ever existed." You felt Navia begin to shake slightly but you kissed her cheek.
"Oh and miss Navia, I would like for you to join us for dinner one afternoon. It would be a pleasure to host you. You're both dismissed."
When you got up, you approached Arlecchino and pulled her into a hug, not care if it was rude or so, you just wanted to hug her. "Thank you father." It took a while before she hugged you back and it was a long hug, long enough for her tears to leak but she wiped it away before you could see, unfortunately, Navia saw and smiled.
"Run along now." Before Arlecchino cries some more. You and Navia left and as you walked out, Navia jumped with joy.
"Holy shit she approved of us! Can you believe that?! That's amazing!" You chuckled at her energy and you both headed home.
Later in the night, as you and Navia were laying in bed, she suddenly climbed on top of you. "You're gonna be father to the kids soon huh?"
"Yeah."
"Then you're gonna be daddy for me, hehe~"
Once could only imagine what happened after that sentence.
A/n:
Finally the Navia one is finished. I saw someone repost the part one and the hashtags were so cute 🥹

it’s the dream, again.
freminet opens his eyes. he is weightless among the waves, body drifting toward the yawning darkness that encompasses the bottom of the ocean. the light from above diminishes with every inch he falls, flailing arms useless at his sides, leaden feet unable to propel him upright. the waves wrap him like a blanket, a comforting cocoon that promises to erase his worries and bring him peace, so long he closes his eyes and embrace the water.
every time, he would oblige, and when he wakes, there would always be tears in his eyes. this time, as he feels himself follow the same script, it deviates by a blot covering the light.
someone is swimming after him.
he can’t distinguish who it is – someone similar in stature, blonde, fair. light wreathes them like a halo, a savior from above to descend unto the depths where he falls, as if he is worthy of rescue–
his hand stretches forward. as their fingertips touch, darkness swallows them both, and the air runs out from his lungs.
“freminet!”
he snaps his eyes open and bolts upright, vision spinning. his gasps are ragged, head turned toward the side, where his older brother sits. lynette pokes her head out from over his shoulder, blank expression softened with relief. lyney gives him a small smile. “you okay?”
“y-yeah…” freminet glances at the window behind his siblings. the moon has reached its zenith, beaming onto the neighborhood. the curtain has been pushed aside, fluttering in the wind. he hears water in the distance, unable to suppress a shiver at the haunting dream. “i’m okay, now. thanks.”
“you still look spooked. how about some tea? something warm would help.”
“at this hour?”
lyney offered him his hand. “it’ll be non-caffeinated. come on.”
with their sister following, the eldest brother leads the way down the corridor to the kitchen. they live in such a large house, just the three of them, with as many closed doors as there are hats in lyney’s collection. lynette lights a candle and joins lyney at the counter to prepare the tea, both of them refusing freminet’s help.
he sinks onto a chair and closes his eyes. the trickle of water is deafening in his ears, sourced from the plentiful rivers and streams that populate fontaine. many deposit into the ocean that surrounds the continent, crosses the border to neighboring lands, ends up in lakes and valleys. water, always a source of comfort, has become a foreign entity that he cannot understand, as if manipulated by another force–
and then, just as he’s about to turn his attention away, that’s when he hears footsteps. someone has entered fontaine, with the power to call the tides at their fingertips.
“freminet?”
lynette is staring at him when he reels his senses in, nearly jumping out of his seat. she pulls back as he straightens up, avoids her eye. as he holds his silence, his sister sits down but doesn’t take her gaze off him.
lyney sets down the teapot and a trio of cups, pouring the dark liquid evenly in each. he takes his plain; lynette takes her with one sugar cube; and freminet usually takes cream and sugar. this time, he sips the scalding liquid as is, hoping to drown out the sound of torrential waves, the whirlpools that swirl at the intruder’s beckon, the increasing darkness that creeps closer and closer–
snap. freminet blinks. lyney pulls away. “something to share?”
“i…” freminet looks down, stares at his distorted reflection in his tea. lyney leans in, lynette taking a sip of her tea. he releases his breath. “i’ve had a recurring dream of drowning lately. it always ends the same way, but this time…there was someone trying to reach for me. i didn’t recognize them.”
“hmmm.” lyney lets out a noncommittal hum. “how intriguing. any idea what they looked like?”
“i…don’t remember. i think…they were blonde, and fair. they…didn’t look like they were from fontaine.”  a shiver runs down his spine. “and…earlier, i think i heard the water change. someone is coming, someone with a lot of power.”
“blonde and fair? that’s a rather broad description. but…i think i know who it is.”
freminet raises his eyes, surprised. “you do? did they watch your shows?”
“no, not yet. you haven’t read the steambird, have you? particularly the article written by charlotte.”
it’s a rhetorical question because freminet has no interest in it. lyney’s smile widens. “a blonde-haired traveler with a flying companion, who has connections through mondstadt, liyue, inazuma, and sumeru…able to wield the elements without a vision, has unmatched skills and abilities. does that match who you saw in your dreams?”
could it be? it would certainly match the water’s change in rhythm. after all, the only other person capable of manipulating water to such a degree is… “i don’t know. it could be.”
“how amusing.” lyney shoots a glance at his sister, who meets his gaze with practiced ease. “well, they are welcome to fontaine, so long they don’t interfere with my shows. as for the shows in the courtroom...i’d like to see what kind of entertainment they’ll bring.”
will it be entertainment, or will it be revolution? as freminet sips his tea, he looks out the window, feels the water bend beneath newfound power. the tides will be different come morning light, shaped by fontaine’s newest visitor. who will they follow, if called to take a side?
he cannot imagine how the tides will fair once this is all over.

Broken Homes of Different Sizes pt6
Borrower Lyney and Lynette, Human Freminet (Slight au with borrowers existing, everything else is the same as canon)
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You’ve been home for a while, are you on house arrest or something?” Freminet pulled his goggles up and peered down at the eldest of the borrower twins, face twisted with confusion at the tiny person on the floor.
“What? No I’m just… well.” Freminet hummed, rubbing his neck. “Father said I was burned out and making mistakes, I had been doing nonstop missions since she took over the Hearth so she made me take a week off from that work.” Freminet watched as Lyney scaled the staple ladder he had put into the legs of his desks and other furniture.
“What happens when you go back?” Freminet bit his lip as he put away his tools. Slowly he turned his full attention onto Lyney, only to cower a little under the sharp look.
“Most likely back to infiltration missions.” He admitted. “They’re usually a day or two at most. But I end up helping others with their missions if I get done quickly. Most of the other children of the Hearth tolerate me because I know my place. I’m the diver, the best to easily fake innocence.” He hid another wince at the unamused look being leveled at him.
“You talk about diving a lot.” The two boys both jumped at the sudden voice, turning to see Lynette poking her head out from behind a wall outlet cover.
“Nette…you’re not supposed to use that entrance remember?” Freminet winced as he reached over and pulled at the cover more, revealing a very fried outlet. “You could get electrocuted.”
“It’s fine, we cut the power to it.” Freminet glanced back at Lyney in horror.
“I- that’s not-” Freminet leaned back in his chair and rubbed at his face.
The twins snickered softly, they couldn’t help but feel inclined to tease the youngest of them, even if he was the largest. Older sibling privilege, Lyney would say.
“You haven’t left the house this whole time, usually you would be in the ocean for hours everyday.” Lyney pointed out after a moment. He watched Freminet’s head raise from where it was resting on his arms.
“Well, I wouldn’t feel right leaving you two here alone. I- I know you’ve been here for a long time before we actually met, but…” Freminet slowly reached towards the twins, pausing before actually making contact. “For the first time, this place feels like home. I’m scared if I leave for too long…that it’s all just a dream.”
Lyney crossed his arms and glanced at Lynette. “Well I’m 100 percent certain that we are real, and we don’t plan on going anywhere for the time being.”
“I know that, it’s just that-” Freminet sighed, pulling his hand away. “Have you heard of Loneliness Syndrome?”
The twins shook their heads.
Freminet hummed, closing his eyes. “It's a type of mental sickness that happens to people that become so closed off from the world due to trauma or lack of empathetic or even sympathetic interactions. The sufferer creates grand delusions and fantasies as a form of escapism, until the point that they can no longer separate the fantasy from reality.”
“It sounds like…you know about this sickness from experience.” Lynette whispered, earning a glare from her brother.
“It’s really common in the House of the Hearth.” Freminet’s eyes opened. “I was starting to get it, but when Father took over it changed too much. I was forced back into reality, and then I met you two.”
“Diving is your way of bridging the escape of the fantasy but living in the moment to force reality.” Lyney’s eyes widened. “That’s actually incredible.”
“I was lucky.” Freminet sighed, gently moving his hand back towards the twins. “Sorry, I- can I…um.”
“You need to feel us, we understand.” Lynette smiled as she pulled Lyney into the waiting palm behind them. She could feel the heat that Freminet gave off, more subtle than other humans she had been held by due to his lower core temperature as a Cryo user. “Your heart is beating fast.”
Lyney nodded, the pulse of Freminet’s heart was easy to feel through his own hands, if they were paying attention to it.
“Sorry, I just…am really attached to you is all.” The quiet confession seemed to shock all three of them as Freminet’s face burned red.
“Somehow, I saw that coming,” Lynette shrugged, only to get shoved by Lyney.
“Stop ruining the moment.” He grumbled, crossing his arms, sticking his tongue out for good measure.
The twins yelped softly as Freminet began to jostle them slightly, soft laughter coming from him. When he calmed down, the fond smile that he gave them was absolutely adorable, leaving the twins starstruck.
They were still getting used to the younger human, but it was obvious that they were in for the long haul now. This was their younger brother, no matter what differences they had.

SETTING: you're a new orphan to the house of hearth, assigned to the hotel bouffes d'ete group. unknowing that the origins of the house lie with the fatui and dangerous missions, you discover the truth after your family failed to tell you. conversations ensue. [ requested // wordcount: 1k ]
RELATIONSHIPS: lynette & gn!reader, lyney & gn!reader, freminet & gn!reader, arlecchino & gn!reader
Tumblr media
this was the first time you felt a part of... something. most people would say that companionship was found in blood for better or worse — this made the death of your blood family worse, in a way. you'd lost the people who would have given you unquestionable companionship, making the start of the next chapter of your life a lonely one.
when your new "father" came to collect you, battered from the fontaine streets and clockwork meka that occasionally malfunctioned, you were hesitant. she spoke of family as a thing that can be chosen and even given, leaving the choice to you ultimately if you wished to take her offer to find a new family.
of course, you accepted as soon as you began to watch her walk away from you, refusing to let someone else turn their back to you again after so long.
"father" introduced you to your new family: the twins lyney and lynette, who you'd seen on posters throughout the city from your time on the streets, and the famous diver freminet among the fishers and divers you'd passed by. it was surreal, almost, to be told these people would be your family without any question.
lyney was friendly — while you may have considered it'd be because "father" told him to be, you realized quickly he was like that with the others as well, and was merely the opposite in personality to not only his twin but also to freminet. lynette was... standoffish, the very image of a cat that her ears and tail projected, and freminet was shy to the most extreme degree you could've imagined.
still, they became your family.
life became more manageable and more natural the longer you were around them. and, for once in a long time, you felt happy.
Tumblr media
"we'll be heading out for a bit," lyney tells you, tipping his hat and providing a smile. "be careful and safe until we get back, alright?"
you gave him a nod, settling back for the evening. lynette turns to leave with only a wave of her hand in acknowledgment, leaving first with her brother following soon after.
with freminet out already, it was just you on your lonesome.
that's what made the arrival of "father" all the more surprising.
you stood up straight from the recline of your chair when she enters. the woman has her hands behind her back, looking around easily before red and black eyes set their sights on you.
"child. have you not joined your family on their missions yet?"
confusion makes your anxiety at the unexpected presence jump higher. finding your voice, you ask, "what do you mean, father?"
she pauses, watching you, and you feel as if you'd just said the wrong thing. when she speaks again, there's still no anger in her tone — rather, disappointment, and it's directed at someone else.
"i'll speak with... lyney about his handling. don't worry yourself until then, child. i'll be back."
"father" leaves out the door as she had entered, yet the tension is thick in the air.
that night, the knave returned with your family unit, praising them for a job well done as they entered through the door. you'd found yourself glued to the couch in the living space, working away quietly at some miscellaneous hobby that could make the time go by faster.
freminet's already avoiding eye contact with you entirely, helmet stuck on his head. lyney, while he makes eye contact, reveals a sheepish shame to his expression and the way his eyes dart away.
it's lynette who holds your eyes, cold and calm as always. her ears never press to her head — rather, they stand straight to signal that she's not nervous about the situation. this is what soothes your own nerves.
"get some rest, you three. i'm expecting a four-person mission starting next week," "father" says with a pat to lyney's shoulder, and with that, she's gone again, leaving the house to the four of you.
the silence that follows could be cut with a knife.
"i'm sorry."
it's to the surprise of everyone that freminet speaks first, nervousness causing his voice to shake along the muffled echo that his helmet provides. he's playing with his hands, head down as if he's focusing on them instead through the limited vision he has.
you study his figure before finally shaking your head, moving over to comfort him. his over-clothes are damp from his wet body suit underneath, getting on your arms when you wrap them around him in a firm hug.
"it's okay, freminet. go dry off."
the young man looks up and you're greeted to your own reassuring smile in the reflection of his helmet. with a nod, freminet takes his leave quickly.
now it was just the twins. turning to them, lynette still holds the same flat expression she always does. glancing from you to lyney, you both see he's putting up his signature performer's mask in order to help.
"lyney was worried about you being upset about the work," lynette finally speaks, stealing the breath from lyney that he'd just taken to begin speaking. she ignores the offended "hey!" received to continue talking. "not many people are able to handle the assignments father gives out. they're not exactly legal."
you decide you don't want to ask about those who are unable to handle those assignments.
lyney's flustered from being caught off guard — still, he collects himself, nodding to lynette to silently signal his turn. "are you mad?"
"i'm more mad you didn't tell me."
"i can understand if you're upset — excuse me?"
lynette puts her hands to her hips, tilting her head up with a huff. "i told you so."
"lyney, i would've helped if you just let me know," you tell him, frowning. "if you guys got hurt because i wasn't there to help—"
the eldest brother shakes his head quickly at that. "no one gets hurt on my missions," he says firmly.
"but they do get tired," lynette says before she moves away from her brother's side, offering her arm out to you instead. "i'm going to make some tea. care to join me?"
with a relieved nod, you loop your arm through lynette's and follow her to the kitchen, leaving a stuttering lyney attempting to defend himself in your wake.

"Show me more of that magical smile, Freminet~"
Tumblr media
Ler: Lyney
Lee: Freminet
꒦꒷꒷꒦
Another quite boring day, especially for Freminet. The boy is sitting on his bed, shortening several pieces of metal for further testing, in the same time his older brother, Lyney, is sitting next to his bed, playing with some cards in his hands.
— Ahh... Lynette is late. She promised she would be there at 2 p.m. — the magician groaned, Lynette went out for a photo session suggested by Charlotte, and knowing Charlotte, it was obvious that they would be late...
— She probably won't be long — Freminet mumbled under his breath with his casual monotone, still focused on his mechanisms.
— Hey... Fremi~ If we're waiting for her, maybe we can do something together? — Lyney said quickly with his specific sparkle in eye.
— Hmh? What do you mean? I'm busy... — the boy said quietly, slowly looking up at his brother with a small sigh — but what do you propose? — he said finally.
— Let me think... — magician tapped his chin with small smirk – some magic tricks!~ — Lyney said loudly, stooding up from the chair.
— Again magic tricks... — Freminet mumbled quitely.
— This time there will be something interesting and cool...! — Lyney almost yelled, maintaining a tone as if he were announcing someone to the stage. Freminet decided to sit on the bed more firmly, sitting on the end of the bed to put his feet on the ground, watching his older brother.
— Wow... what will it be... — the boy mumbled with monotone, pretending to be the audience.
Lyney stood in front of the seated Freminet, taking one of the cards from his deck.
— Look carefully, little brother — Lyney whispered, at which Freminet sharpened his eyes on the card, magician only smiled, shaking his hand and card... just disappeared.
— Huh... — Freminet murmured — I remember you showed it to me once — the blonde said quietly.
— Oh really? Take off your hat~ — Lyney grinned. The boy decided to obey, he took off his hat, looking inside, and a small surprise, the card being in his hat, Freminet take the card in his fingers, his eyes a little lighten up.
— Okay... that was a little bit cool... — the blonde mumbled.
— You can take the card for yourself~— Lyney winked with soft chuckle.
— B- but then the cards will be incomplete — Freminet stammered.
— Don't worry! You're my little brother, I can always conjure up a pair for her~ — the magician smiled, arranging the deck of cards in his fingers in such a way that they lightly began to shoot out of his grip towards the blonde.
— B- but Lyney- — Freminet stammered, covering his face from cards with his hand, can't help but smiled shyly, even blushing softly.
— Oh? Is it- oh my goodness~ Freminet you smiled!~ — Lyney yelled with excitement, when all cards slipped out from his grip, he looked at his little brother face with big grin.
— Me- I'm... ehh... yeah... something wrong...? — the blonde blushed a bit more, rising his eyebrows.
— The point is... nothing!~ I'm so happy to just a little make you smile, but you know what? I think I want to see this smile getting wider... hmh... — Lyney smirked a little bit more, almost teasingly.
— H- huh? But why? I mean- no... don't need... — Freminet only shaked his head, even panickly, he's quite mysterious when it comes to his emotions, he likes to stay all calm and silent, not overreacting, but his older brother definitely want to do something against it... right?
The blonde even can't react when Lyney stepped closer.
— You know what does it mean, Freminet?~ — the magician actually now teasing.
— N- no, and I don't want to know- — the boy stammered.
— Aww~ of course it means tickles!~ — Lyney laughed, quickly stooding behind Freminet and putting his hands on his sides — show me more of that magical smile, Freminet~ — the magician laughed and started to playfully squeezing his younger brother's sides.
— L- Lyney- d- don't- — Freminet only stammered more, the card he holding quickly fall from his hand when the blonde covered his mouth with both hands, started to blushing a bit more, his torso twitched slightly.
— Aww... you've never reacted like that before! Come on, don't be like that, laugh for your older brother~ — the taller one lightly teased, still smiling broadly, his hands quickly wandered to the blonde's ribs, started to poking the space between every his rib.
Freminet struggled even more, trying his best not to laugh or even snort, he still remember the old times in the House of the Hearth when well... yeah, he had some tickle fights with Lyney and Lynette, but hey... they're not a kids anymore! The blonde's elbows trying to protect his poor ribs but Lyney sneaky moves definitely winning.
The magician decided to change some tactics, he started to squeezing his younger brother's ribs now, his thumbs started to dig into Freminet's upper back, when the rest of his fingers digging into the younger's chest.
— Damn... Fremi, you're struggling so much not to laugh, don't you? I'm not forcing you... you're just adorably sensitive, my lil brother~ — Lyney chuckled, continued his small torture.
Freminet can't hold anymore under his brother's tickling, he just let out quite soft and gentle, but still hard laugh, his torso started to twitch even more.
— Ehe- ehehehe~ L- Lyney- stohohop- plea- pleahahase...! — the blonde begged softly.
— Not yet, sorry but I have to show you my 'magic trick' in all its glory!~ — Lyney teased, he doesn't want to torture him too much, that's not his point, his main point was just to make him laugh and smile, hoping Freminet will understand this.
— W- wha- hahaha~ thahahat's nohohohot a mahahagic trihihihick- tha- that's tihihihickles- Lynehehey- pleahahase... — in Freminet's eyes even started to show small tears of laughing.
— No no no~ Just a little longer~ You can bear it!~ — Lyney chuckled, his hands now wandered to his younger brother's hips, started to squeeze it quite fast and tight. Freminet only kicked gently with his leg onto the floor, he laughed a bit louder and started to squirm this time, a little crazily.
— No- nohohohoho- but- bahahaha-BHAH...! B- BROTHEHHER-! — Freminet almost yelled, blushing even more, while grabbing Lyney's wrist to push his hands away, but failing — E- ENOUGHAHAHH- — Freminet cried, wiggling a little more.
And then... the doors of their room started to opening, Freminet's laugh only filling all room, but two brothers could hear monotone voice, which they knew very well.
— What are you doing...? — Lynette asked a bit awkwardly, rising her eyebrow.
꒦꒷꒷꒦
And that's the end actually, hand my thumbs hurts so much 🥹
You can come up with your own endings if you want, for me this ending is perfect, I hope you enjoyed reading it 😭👌🫶

@maquiscursed sent: "freminet?" lyney pokes his nose into the door leading to his brother's workshop - a sheepish look on his face, an apology already written all over near-feline features before he even articulates it out loud. freminet has a good heart (for those he cares about), and he knows what he has to say will earn him a tired sigh at most (he hopes), but... hey, it still doesn't make it easier, not even after all these years! "sorry to interrupt you while you're on pers' maintenance but... lynette has somehow broken the laundry machine again." the magician sighs, hand rubbing at the back of his neck. "don't ask me why she even approached it, i have no clue! anyway, could you come and help me fix it? it's huh - it's leaking. everywhere. i think the younglings are thinking about turning the room into a kiddie pool...."
Tumblr media
Freminet startles when the door opens, surprised by the sudden interruption of the relative silence that's engulfed him for the past hour or so. There are a number of things lying on the desk before him that require fixing but he's postponed taking care of them for now in favor of giving Pers his regular maintenance. Just a few tweaks and adjustments here and there, nothing major, but somehow he still ends up losing sight of time - a fact he only becomes aware of when Lyney pulls him out of his concentration and he notices how dark the room has become around him.
Tumblr media
"Oh.." he says quietly, recalling that the last time he fixed the machine was not that long ago. He doesn't blame his sister, however, although it wouldn't be the first time that it broke because someone handled it too roughly or incorrectly. It's an old machine and despite having repaired it multiple times by now even Freminet can't fix every broken part of it. As much as he dislikes the thought, sometimes there's too little left to fix. "I'll come with you."
He puts Pers down onto the desk and slips off his chair to join Lyney by the door, grabbing his box of tools on the way. He feels bad leaving his friend behind like this, half-open and unfinished, but with an imminent problem like this it would be irresponsible to prioritize Pers. "Maybe it's the pipe again," he suggests, already thinking of all the parts and places he'll check first. "I'll try to fix it quickly - if the others play in the water they could catch a cold, right?"

Lyney & Merlin 3
Merlin stretched her back. With every crack, she could feel her bones realign with her body clicking into place to form the human she was. Alone early in her office, these were the best moments of her day. They recently started morning services in addition to on call duties. Not everyone could make it to the clinic. Some just needed the comfort of a healer in their twilight years.
Merlin perused through her appointments. Sylvester was kind enough to create something of an appointment book and reminders for Merlin. It was something Merlin used to do herself, back when she had more expectations and more self respect if she was being honest. Creating a to do list when you were unemployed was the most dispiriting task because it confronted you with the obvious fact that you couldn’t avoid the tasks you hated most and put off. Once again, she had an appointment book. Sylvester must have adjusted to their new clinic.
A yowling sound came from above her desk. There was a small window, a flat rectangle usually allotted to basement rooms. Outside the window was a cat, an odd cat with a star and teardrop for eyes and fur that almost glowed? But of course, nothing was really odd for this world. If people could harness visions, surely a cat can have shapes for eyes. Merlin ignored the cat, thinking it would go away or to the food she left out, but the cat persisted. It mewed and scratched the window, incessantly demanding the young doctor’s attention. Finally, for some peace and quiet, Merlin cracked open the window. Dust fell on her table and in the midst of her sneezes, the cat slipped through and immediately curled onto her chair, the warmest spot in the room.
Anything else, your majesty? She thought, eyeing the cat. The cat just mewed once, as if to thank her, and slept. With no better reminder, Merlin made way for the door but not before leaving the window open and placing her scarf around the little mite.
...
“Have you seen him yet, Freminet?” Lyney called out to his younger brother? They had been searching throughout the theatre, home, and every known location Lyney usually did his shows, but no one had seen his cat. Rossland rarely ran off what with his vital role in Lyney’s shows. Yet today, the blasted cat dashed off, ruining Lyney’s plans to use in him tonight’s show.
“Perhaps, he’ll come back tomorrow? Maybe, if we left some food out?” Freminet’s hesitant response came. He was lifting dustbins for a quick glance, worrying over whether Rossland got himself stuck in a can, desperate to get out.
“We might have to wait till tomorrow,” Lyney signed and pressed his hat. It was nearing 5 pm and the show would start in two hours. He then noticed a small cluster of cats and realized they were near the clinic of the new doctor.
“I didn’t know a new clinic was here,” Freminet mentioned, walking towards Lyney. Then he too noticed the cats. Wordlessly, the brothers approached the clinic and entered.
Inside a calm quiet atmosphere welcomed them. A lady walked toward the door they just entered, turning back to thank “Dr. Levine and Nurse Sylvester”.
“Are you two here for an emergency?”
Recognizing the doctor walking up to the receptionist desk, Lyney placed the unfamiliar voice with Nurse Sylvester. He grinned.
“Hello Nurse Sylvester and Dr. Levine. Wonderful to meet your acquaintance! My brother and I are on a quest. You see, I seem to have lost my cat”.
Lyney observed the recognition in the doctor’s eyes and stared, encouragingly, at her.
“Describe your cat” the doctor flatly requested.
“Uh, well. Rossland has unique eyes. One eye is a star and the other,” Lyney pointed to his cheek, “is like my teardrop tattoo”.
The doctor nodded. “Just making sure you really are the owner”. She bade them to follow her and took them into her office. There, lounging about the table in a most regal way that becomes a cat who knows its claim over the world sat Rossland.
Lyney laughed. “It seems my cat has found himself a new home”. He took off his hat, and waited. But the said cat did not jump into his former home. Instead, the cat looked at the doctor as if he was waiting for her permission. The doctor gently patted the cat’s head, an act the cat leaped up and nuzzled his head into her hands. The act, caused Lyney to blush at the sudden intimacy. Since when did Rossland become familiar with just anyone?
“Time for you to go home,” the doctor gently said. The cat meowed and allowed the doctor to place him into the hat Lyney held out.
“You can come back anytime. The window’s always open,” the doctor told the cat. She looked up at the cat’s owner and smiled.
“Cute cat”.
Recovered from the previous moment, Lyney gave a dazzling smile. “Isn’t he?”
He insisted on repaying her for taking care of Rossland. A kindness to take in the cat when she had no obligation to. Such an act must be repaid.
“Really, it was nothing. And I can’t accept these tickets. I’m on call tonight,” the doctor protested.
“Very well,” Lyney said, placing his hat containing Rossland upon his head. A small tail appeared behind Lyney’s head, but otherwise the cat did not protest. “Then at the very least, allow me to know your name”.
“Dr. Levine. Dr. Merlin Levine, and this here is Sylvester”.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you two. My name is Lyney. Lyney the magician. Allow me to the first to welcome you to Fountaine”.
...
Rossland’s presence at the clinic became a regular sighting. Initially Lyney was embarrassed, but after a while he gave into the cat’s rambles. It even made good publicity for any upcoming shows. The cat was always present for practice and shows. He somehow had the ability to know when he wasn’t required. Soon, hanging out at the clinic became a regular habit for Lyney and his siblings.
Lyney noticed that some mornings Merlin was not there at the clinic. Instead Sylvester would handle the patients, most of which, Lyney observed, didn’t require a doctor’s diagnosis.
“She’s out making her rounds,” was Sylvester’s response when he noticed the magician’s curious face as he looked around for the doctor. Lyney didn’t know where the doctor went on her rounds, but he knew those were the days Rossland insisted on staying, often wrapped around her scarf. Lyney couldn’t understand his cat’s behaviour and found Sylvester’s hidden replies to the doctor’s whereabouts odd.
One day Lynette got a slight injury on her arm during practice. It was a small nick, but the blood wouldn’t stop and before Lynette could calm her brother down, Lyney found himself dashing off to the clinic. He would forever think about this one decision of his. They had access to plenty of physicians, yet here he was at the Ally Doctor, relying upon someone he barely knew.
“It’s a superficial cut. Nothing serious or infected,” the doctor said as she dressed Lynette’s wound. She gently dabbed antiseptic and placed a band-aide. “Once the bleeding stops and crust forms, remove the band-aide and let the skin breathe. It will heal faster. Try not scratch, otherwise it will bleed again. Come back if the bleeding doesn’t stop”.
Lynette nodded and thanked the doctor. Lyney watched as the doctor packed her stuff and headed towards the clinic door. She was leaving the clinic for her evening rounds when they bumped into her. She couldn’t make sense of Lyney’s rambles until Lynette showed her the injury, after which, the doctor went back into the clinic and dressed the wounds.
Once again Lyney found himself indebted to the doctor, a fact punctuated clearly with the appearance of Rossland as he strolled towards Lyney and jumped into his hands.
“You don’t need to keep thanking me,” Dr. Levine said. “I’m just doing my job”.
Still, Lyney insisted on repaying her and asked when she was free. Upon hearing the date, he promised to return with tickets for their next show.
...
As they walked back to the theatre, Lyney was aware of Lynette’s stare. He knew what she was thinking. What tickets was he planning to give when they did not have a show the day the doctor was free? What the twin was unaware of was that his sister was not staring at him so much as she was staring at Rossland.
“Rossland seems fond of Dr. Levine,” she said, starting the conversation.
It was a statement that contained a hundred questions and a thousand answers. Lyney was aware that whatever familiarity or trust he could claim upon the clinic or its doctor was based solely on Rossland. He was also aware that Lynette knew this. And yet.
“It’s a curious clinic,” was all he said
It was a curious clinic. Lyney had looked into the it. The clinic appeared six months ago, yet very few people knew about it. The clinic hand its handful of patients, but most seemed to not come to the clinic. The doctor was a trauma surgeon by training, yet they operated a general clinic. Almost nothing was known about her or her nurse, Sylvester, yet they had more heart than some of the other doctors Lyney knew. Most important of all, was the doctor’s response to his question of whether she liked his show.
“Lynette,” Lyney asked suddenly, “Do you think magicians should capture their audience’s attention or distract it?”
“A captured audience will look where you want them to look, hear what you want them to hear. A distracted one does not want to have their senses tampered with”.
Lyney nodded and fell into his own thoughts.
“Be careful Lyney,” Lynette cautioned.
