굿밤! 나 와서서

at the end of my day, i'm here to write to you again ^-^ i forgot to mention that on monday in class (it's currently wednesday), my student response was selected by the prof and shared to the class. it was complimented and analyzed as if it were an actual work of art, as my prof called it, and it was too kind of an ego boost :") i wrote about noon panir because i kind of miss it, though just a bit.

anyways, yesterday, i attended my poetry class for the first time. after the add/drop period, i moved some classes around. but, i really didn't like that class at all. so, i switched back to the american prose class that i dropped. at least it has a Judith Butler reading that i'm excited for!

ah! here's a tragic episode i have to share with you + some info about the apple tree stayhouse. everyone, around 20 of us, all share one single washing machine. you have to walk down 2 flight of stairs to get to it, and sometimes you'll lug all your clothes down there just to see the washing machine is already in use. then, you have to lug all your clothes back up. even worse is the fact that the washing machine time remaining will say an hour, then an hour and a half, then 2 hours. so, doing laundry here is just a bit of a hassle T.T

today, i went to check on T's laundry to find all of it on the floor! usually everyone in the house is nice and waits for you to retrieve your laundry before they put theirs in. even though i went down as soon as T's load ended, i found her clothes on the floor. this has never happened before. i got so angry on her behalf that i ran all the way up, feeling out of breath when i told her what happened.

also, people's dishes have been going missing so everyone keeps their plates and bowls in their rooms. recently, i forgot to bring my plate back to my room and now it's gone! it was only ₩2, 000 but i don't care. i'm tired of eating out of my tupperware :( i messaged the house groupchat and hopefully i get it back...

so after ny classes ended at 3:15, T and i took 273 to Korea University to pick up our ID cards and orientation packages. it's so easy to get Korea University and it makes me so happy! it's just one bus ride and it drops you off right at the campus. sure, it's a 25 min bus ride, but so much better than my commute to mac.

the campus is extremely big and spread out. the buildings stand tall and proud. one could say it is like mcmaster but so much cleaner, bigger, more spread out. below is just one example of a building ^-^

there are a lot of stairs and uphills though, so watch out!

we went to the unistore to look at textbooks and varsity jackets. a lot of people wear the all-black jacket here. then, T ate at burger king and we headed to gangnam to meet some of T's friends. once there, we went to this hidden bar. you enter a building and go up a few floors to get there. the highlight of it is this massive screen that plays music videos, the sound of which is loudly blasted. it creates a club-like atmosphere but is full of tables and chairs as people are served food. it's quite dim in there but some party lights do shine on.

we bought 2 pots of this soup-like thing that i still don't know the name of, similar to what we bought in Hongdae the previous day with Dami. one was more spicey than the other, but they were both super good.

i also tried a few flavoured sojus. the lemon one was good, but i think melon was my fav!

we headed home after that and picked up ice cream on the way (again). i bought that ice cream you always see them eating in kdramas :") i saw it a lot in racket boys and felt nostalgic. the flavour was strange but i enjoyed it!! i hope i can get it again~
