I’ve got some friends and my betrothed doing a little book club. It started with one friend and we’d leave a comment in discord with the percent we were at and then our thought under a spoiler. When we read that far we’d go back to read the spoiler and respond. Then their hubby wanted an excuse to read more, and my betrothed heard about it and wanted in.

At which point I slid forward The Scholomance series, which I’d been pressuring my betrothed into starting and so everyone took it up. It’s been like crack. I have always loved this series and my betrothed was like, “This sounds like a horrifying depressing setting why do you like it?”

But now they’re all voraciously consuming it and I’m living my absolute best life. I try not to comment much as I don’t want to color their perception but these books are so fucking good and now I get to share thoughts with several other people who are having a wonderful time.

Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit —with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people.

For the time is coming when they will no longer listen and respond to the healing words of truth because they will become selfish and proud. They will seek out teachers with soothing words that line up with their desires, saying just what they want to hear. They will close their ears to the truth and believe nothing but fables and myths. So be alert to all these things and overcome every form of evil. Carry in your heart the passion of your calling as a church planter and evangelist, and fulfill your ministry calling.”—2 Timothy 4:1‭-‬5 (TPT)

In 2 Timothy 4:1‭-‬5, Paul urges Timothy to proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! To preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Timothy is to always be ready to teach, at all times of the year, to rebuke and patiently instruct. Paul knew that a time was coming when people would no longer be open to listening to the Gospel, so Timothy was to “be alert to all these things and overcome every form of evil.” He was to “carry in his heart the passion of his calling as a church planter and evangelist, and fulfill his ministry calling”

Thebiblesays.com puts it this way, “In this last chapter, Paul charges Timothy. Paul might have considered this somewhat of a passing of the torch to Timothy, as his successor in the ministry. We can know it was well received, since this letter made it into scripture. Had Timothy rejected the letter, we can reasonably assume he would not have put it into circulation.”

We too are called to “fulfil our ministry calling.” In a way, Paul passes the torch to each of us, just as he did for Timothy. Jesus also calls us to preach the Good News of salvation. The last thing that Jesus said to His disciples before He ascended to Heaven was about proclaiming the gospel,

“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation… So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.” —Mark 16:15‭, ‬19‭-‬20 (ESV)

Biblesforamerica.org says this, “In Mark 16:15 the Lord Jesus gave this command: “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all the creation.”

Who is this command given to? Who are the proclaimers of the gospel? At first, we may look at this verse and think the Lord’s command applies only to a specific group of believers, such as the eleven apostles who were with Him. But who were the apostles? The apostles were people who had seen and received the crucified and resurrected Christ as their Savior.

What does this mean? If we’ve received Christ as our Savior, then we’re qualified to proclaim the gospel. Attending a special school or completing a gospel-preaching program isn’t a requirement to proclaim the gospel. Our qualification is that we’re redeemed by Christ and regenerated with His life.”

Each of us can proclaim the Gospel, the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ. All we have to do is tell people what Jesus has done for us. You don't need a degree in Theology or any other qualification, just tell people your story, your testimony, and leave the rest to Jesus.

Let's spread the Word. As Psalm 34:3 says, “Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all.” (TPT)

dunno if you're still active in aa just wanted to tell you i've been staring at all your athenas and you are so correct and smart. put that child in jail.

i havent drawn a lot of aa lately but im definitely still in the fandom and athena cykes is still my number one character that no one gets like i do. ninjago hyperfixation has been HEAVY but hopefully itll lighten up and ill get back into drawing athena, especially because im not done with my athena is arrested au by any means (ive written 26k words for a fic of it like atp im too deep in to let it go).

thank you so much for the ask because it means a lot to me to hear that people still like my aa stuff!! ,,,and this ask is now making me want to draw more athena again.. oh how i miss her. im so glad you agree she deserves to go to prison. i have so many ideas planned for the au but im hoping the fic will be a good means of revealing them :)

also on a more general note, art from me is likely to slow down because i have exams coming up in a month that determine if i get into university so i should probably revise for them. what this means in terms of athena is arrested au is that a lot of work will have to wait until after june.. so stay tuned if u remember

#because i imagine most people dont know how the british school system works. im gonna briefly explain these exams #i take 4 subjects and my total number of exam papers for them is 12. for 3 of the subjects the exams determine the entire grade #no coursework marks or anything. for 1 subject only i did have coursework for but thats only 20% of the grade and i dont get my results #for that until after the exams #so basically placing all my eggs into a basket of exams covering two whole years of content #yeah i should revise #wyrm answers #wyrm rambles

Crazy how 2 years ago I considered the infamous Chantecaille foundation (used on Euphoria) insane for being priced at a whopping $116 and now all foundations worth purchasing have been marked up to $60+ price ranges at Sephora.

#inflation mark ups are one thing but foundations I purchased just a few years ago are now $10-$20 more expensive than they were in my order #to be fair I did buy my last foundation almost 3 years ago and high-end foundations almost 4 but $10-20 markups are wild #I'm still debating what foundation to get in next month's sale but Armani Beauty Luminous Silk is on my radar and it's $93 #which yes is high-end but that seems somehow normal? Things Biden and the Democrats did, this week #13

April 5-12 2024

President Biden announced the cancellation of a student loan debt for a further 277,000 Americans. This brings the number of a Americans who had their debt canceled by the Biden administration through different means since the Supreme Court struck down Biden's first place in 2023 to 4.3 million and a total of $153 billion of debt canceled so far. Most of these borrowers were a part of the President's SAVE Plan, a debt repayment program with 8 million enrollees, over 4 million of whom don't have to make monthly repayments and are still on the path to debt forgiveness.

President Biden announced a plan that would cancel student loan debt for 4 million borrowers and bring debt relief to 30 million Americans The plan takes steps like making automatic debt forgiveness through the public service forgiveness so qualified borrowers who don't know to apply will have their debts forgiven. The plan will wipe out the interest on the debt of 23 million Americans. President Biden touted how the plan will help black and Latino borrowers the most who carry the heavily debt burdens. The plan is expected to go into effect this fall ahead of the election.

President Biden and Vice-President Harris announced the closing of the so-called gun show loophole. For years people selling guns outside of traditional stores, such as at gun shows and in the 21st century over the internet have not been required to preform a background check to see if buyers are legally allowed to own a fire arm. Now all sellers of guns, even over the internet, are required to be licensed and preform a background check. This is the largest single expansion of the background check system since its creation.

The EPA published the first ever regulations on PFAS, known as forever chemicals, in drinking water. The new rules would reduce PFAS exposure for 100 million people according to the EPA. The Biden Administration announced along side the EPA regulations it would make available $1 billion dollars for state and local water treatment to help test for and filter out PFAS in line with the new rule. This marks the first time since 1996 that the EPA has passed a drinking water rule for new contaminants.

The Department of Commerce announced a deal with microchip giant TSMC to bring billions in investment and manufacturing to Arizona. The US makes only about 10% of the world's microchips and none of the most advanced chips. Under the CHIPS and Science Act the Biden Administration hopes to expand America's high-tech manufacturing so that 20% of advanced chips are made in America. TSMC makes about 90% of the world's advanced chips. The deal which sees a $6.6 billion dollar grant from the US government in exchange for $65 billion worth of investment by TSMC in 3 high tech manufacturing facilities in Arizona, the first of which will open next year. This represents the single largest foreign investment in Arizona's history and will bring thousands of new jobs to the state and boost America's microchip manufacturing.

The EPA finalized rules strengthening clean air standards around chemical plants. The new rule will lower the risk of cancer in communities near chemical plants by 96% and eliminate 6,200 tons of toxic air pollution each year. The rules target two dangerous cancer causing chemicals, ethylene oxide and chloroprene, the rule will reduce emissions of these chemicals by 80%.

the Department of the Interior announced it had beaten the Biden Administration goals when it comes to new clean energy projects. The Department has now permitted more than 25 gigawatts of clean energy projects on public lands, surpass the Administrations goal for 2025 already. These solar, wind, and hydro projects will power 12 million American homes with totally green power. Currently 10 gigawatts of clean energy are currently being generated on public lands, powering more than 5 million homes across the West.

The Department of Transportation announced $830 million to support local communities in becoming more climate resilient. The money will go to 80 projects across 37 states, DC, and the US Virgin Islands The projects will help local Infrastructure better stand up to extreme weather causes by climate change.

The Senate confirmed Susan Bazis, Robert White, and Ann Marie McIff Allen to lifetime federal judgeships in Nebraska, Michigan, and Utah respectively. This brings the total number of judges appointed by President Biden to 193
