Note
Neteyam and Spider secret relationship idea that I literally cannot stop thinking about
Idea that 5he night before neteyams gaming of his ikran ceremony, he and Spider have sex in hells gate(this is important to the plot) - the idea that once neteyam is properly a Man then he will have to start courting, and they would rather have one night together than none at all. As they know they cannot be together.
Flash forward to the next day moat looks at him weirdly and is like?!!!!!?? You're mated??!! Neteyam is flatly like: no I'm not. They eventually weedle out of him that he had sex but because they didn't perform tshelu, he thought that it wouldn't mate them. Neytiri is besides herself because why would you have sex without the intention of mating but jake tentatively is like maybe this is a human sort of sex drive?
But the idea that neteyam and Spider keep this secret for maybe years or months. The idea that eywa saw their love for each other and blessed the union even though there was no tshelu. Neteyam just keeps the official stance of the girl I slept with doesn't want to be my wife and lead the clan in the future, I will partner with the best tshik there is no need for us to be mates. Everyone kind of begrudgingly has to accept this over time, as it becomes increasingly obvious that he will be a fantastic chief.
Flash forward, they still don't know who neteyam accidently mated to, as he doesn't spend any one on one time with young women. I just love the idea of neteyam, once he has tamed his ikran, volunteers to take spider back to bells gate every evening (he says it's because the flight back clears his head, but it's obviously the only time they can speak plainly and be themselves around each other.) jake going to ask neteyam something, and seeing from a distance the familiarity which the two have for eacb other and how wide their smilea are and everything just falls into place. Because obviously! No tshelu, he's never seen with any women, the other mate didn't want to reveal their identity. Idea that Jake has to realise that neteyam could never confide in him, because jake would tell neytiri, who would tell moat, and all of these people act NG weirdly would defo make things obviously to kiri and Lo'ak and the rest of the clan.
I like the idea of Jake following spider and neteyam (from a distance) and walking into Spider's bedroom, not really knowing what he aS going to expect. But when neteyam stands slightly in front of spider, shielding him with his body, jake realises this is fucking serious.
I LURVE secret relationships and relationship reveals, I feel like neteyam and Spider's could be an epic one.
Ooh, what an ask, anon, what an ask. Before his iknimaya?!?!? They're so YOUNG, they're BABIES. 14 and 15! Maybe before Neteyam's uniltaron, give them like generously a baby extra year. Maybe. For my sanity.
But the storyline? I'm invested. The tragedy of hiding a relationship so deep as mates when they must see each other every day regardless. I imagine it's like a phantom limb pain. The scientists HAVE to know, if Neteyam is going into Spider's room every night even just to say goodbye. Our loyal Norm warrior, secret keeping king. You also can't convince me Kiri and Lo'ak aren't on at least Spider's ass every single day trying to find out what's wrong with him, why he's being weird, what he's hiding. Neteyam is weird too but it's easier to write off on him being gone, busy being a man now.
Also, how did they get to this super sad decision to just have one night and then just never being together again? That's almost more fucked up then never having been together at all. They just have to watch each other and KNOW for the rest of their lives?
Also two bizarrely funny things you've included here with Mo'at just looking once at Neteyam and being like "Oh, you've had sex, with whom??" and absolute fool Jake Sully BUSTING into the room of the kid he suspects is mated to his son without knocking??? Hilarious. Unintentional comedy. Anyways I'm begging you to write this anon give us this gift I'm crying tears.

The Enforcers Part 8 (Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
wc: 1.7k
tw: dark content (self-harm)
masterlist
a/n: By no means do I condone self-harm or want to glorify it in the light of this chapter. As a person who struggled with physical self-harm in her early teens, I know the destructive nature of this type of activity. However, as my characters are not perfect and complicated, I see this particular mode of action as something she would try to do in order to alleviate her pain and confusion. If you have questions or concerns, my inbox is always open to having a discussion about it.
If you so wish, you may skip this chapter altogether. There will be a recap on the next one if you choose to skip for your mental health. Take care of yourselves and see you soon. (ALSO, I know I promised smut but I gotta give y'all a raincheck this go-round. SORRY PLS DON'T KILL ME)
You're on your forty-seventh file of scandals, coverups, and secret dossiers that you finally feel it. The fabric of your identity begins to unravel right before your eyes.
Everything you've known is a lie.
The CSB has covered up so many things. So many lives lost. So many people forced to flee. So many families ripped apart--
An email makes its way over to the server, and you open it, the words across the screen coming from Suguru.
I know it's late, but send over Yu Haibara's files when you can.
You hit the reply button and begin to type out: "You mean the boy you killed?" but you stop yourself, deleting the words rapidly. Instead, you attach the files and send them over, not even bothering to look at them. You can't do it. Not another file could be stored away in the annals of your brain.
Nothing is as it seems anymore. The lies... they pile up in your mind, flooding the spaces where you used to hold what you thought was true, what you thought was real. Now, they're overflowing out of your brain and into your heart and soul, plaguing you like the nightmares that face you down night after night, more like demons that lurk in the corners of your mind than full file cabinets.
You always wake up in a tangle of sheets and sweat, one of your various enemies' faces hovering over you right before you stare down the barrel of a gun and --
You stumble out of the chair, eyes wet with tears, and go to the sink in the bathroom to wash your face. After you splash water on your skin, you look up at your reflection, anger rolling through you at the way you look. Weak.
You're fucking weak.
The voice in your head that usually told you that you were doing okay, that you had it all under control, is now turning on you, spitting nasty words that stick in between the synapses of your brain a muddy your rational thoughts.
The voices rise to a fever pitch, and you suddenly see red, the entirety of the world descending into blood-colored madness. The shattering of the glass mirror only becomes a reality when you're standing above the sink, chest heaving as your thoughts silence one by one, like shutting off lights in a house.
But only one stays behind as a shard of the mirror clinks into the sink.
Escape.
The light at the end of the tunnel.
You could get rid of the feelings here. You could get rid of the thoughts. You could escape. Why hadn't you thought about this before?
"Do it."
Your fingers grip the jagged shard of glass carefully, and before you can stop yourself, you drag it across the inside of your wrist, end to end, leaving behind a red line of blood that immediately blooms. Crimson dots drop into the sink, and you stare at the color, mesmerized by the way the blood runs down your arm and into the porcelain bowl. But there's no relief.
No sense of freedom.
Maybe you didn't do it hard enough?
Maybe you didn't--
The door to your room slams open, and you turn your head just as Suguru comes rushing into the bathroom. The shard of glass is still in your hand, as well as the blood running down your arm, and Suguru catches this immediately.
"Fuck," he breathes, and you turn to him, shard extended.
"Don't come any closer."
"Y/n," he calmly whispers. "You don't look so good."
"I wonder why that is," you reply, and Suguru stares back at you, hands raised in surrender.
"What're you doing?"
"What does it look like, Suguru?" you state in a trance. Your bullet wound begins to throb dully, but you ignore it, just like you're ignoring the blood dripping onto the tile flooring.
"Y/n, let's think about this."
"I don't want to think anymore!" The shrill scream is loud enough to make Suguru flinch, and you softly repeat, "I don't want to think anymore," over and over again as tears run down your face.
"I know," Suguru whispers. "I know. Will you let me help you?" You hiccup and drop the piece of glass to the floor, dissolving in a heap of tears and moans. You feel hands pulling you up from the floor and into strong arms, your head being cradled against a broad chest you've felt before. "Go ahead," Suguru encourages you. "Cry it out."
He carries you to another room in the building in silence, laying you on a firm bed and disappearing as you heave painful sobs into the sheets.
"Everything... hurts..." you gasp, and when Suguru reappears with a white bundle of cloth, a bandage roll, and some water, he nods.
"We're going to make it better, don't worry." He takes your injured arm and carefully wipes away the blood, examing the cut slowly. "Doesn't need stitches, thankfully." He turns to open the water bottle and hands it to you, silently telling you to drink while he bandages your wrist.
You drink the water greedily then lean back on the headboard, eyes closing down as Suguru works diligently on your wound. And then you remember the first time he did this for you and the mistake you made in your pridefulness.
"Thank you," you murmur, and Suguru looks up at your face, finally seeing some form of clarity cross your tear-streaked cheeks.
"You're welcome," he replies tenderly. "I have to keep you safe, remember? I promised you that I would." You don't answer him, but he finishes at that exact moment anyways, standing and placing the remnants of the bandage roll on the nightstand. The wound is now covered up completely, with no sign of blood seeping through the cotton and staining the white cloth dark red.
You watch as Suguru crawls into the bed beside you, sighing deeply as he runs his fingers through his locks. "Should I stay awake with you or do you want to try to sleep?"
"Sleep," you answer - albeit not confidently - and the black-eyed man obliges, pulling the thin sheet over you.
"I'll be right here," he affirms, but you reach out your uninjured arm and touch his hand. He instantly turns his palm up to let you grab his fingers, and you pull him closer to you in the king-sized bed.
"Hold me." A second passes with no movement, and Suguru whispers,
"Are you sure?" You nod, and he wordlessly scoots closer, wrapping an arm around you as you nestle into his side with your bandaged hand resting on his chest. His fingers rub a soft pattern up and down your skin, soothing you to the brink of sleep. "I've got you. We'll deal with everything else in the morning," Suguru murmurs as you slip off into a dreamless - and nightmare-less - sleep.
_____________________________________________________________
Morning comes and goes.
Midday arrives, and you awaken from your terrorless sleep still encased in Suguru's grasp. Your eyes flick up to his face, which is peaceful in the midday light streaming in from the windows. The Leader of the Fallen Sun District is asleep and dead to the world around him, but the sound of his breathing lets you know he's on the brink of waking up.
Part of you doesn't want him to. You want to lay there without any responsibilities to him, without any concern, or further harm to either one of you. Maybe if you continued to sleep, all of this would become a distant memory. All of this would go away, and you could go back to living in ignorance.
But Suguru's stirring makes you stiffen, and you feel his arms tighten around you before sliding away.
"You're awake."
"Yeah," you whisper, and he sits up, pulling his knees to his chest.
"We need to talk about last night." You sit up as well, staring at the edge of the bed blankly. "Why didn't you tell someone about your declining mental health?"
"I didn't realize it until it was too late," you admit, looking at the bandage on your wrist. "But I won't be doing that again."
"Doesn't matter," Suguru interjects, looking over at you. You choose to avoid his gaze and stare at your feet, inhaling deeply. "I have to have someone watch you now. I want you to be safe, and now I'm not sure if I can ensure that without some oversight on my part."
"No," you exhale quickly, looking over at him in fear. "I'm better now, I promise."
"I'll have someone move a few of your things over here. That way I can keep an eye on you, just in case." Suguru continues, standing from his position on the bed. "I won't bother you. But I made a promise to you, and I'm going to keep it at all costs." He turns back to you, stating, "Today we'll take a day off and go into the town. I've been wanting to show you around for a while anyway."
You conclude the argument is over when he places a kiss on your temple, then walks into his bathroom, shutting the door and leaving you on the bed alone.
_____________________________________________________________
A car picks both of you up from the building, and when you slide into the backseat, Suguru points to the expanse in the distance.
"Take us to the marketplace." The driver nods, scars running up and down his pale face and his blue eyes looking up at you in the rearview mirror. Does this man even know that he's sitting next to the leader of the Fallen Sun district? Or is Kenjaku a faceless man, hiding behind walls of ones and zeroes?
The scenes that pass by you look identical to those of the city you know and love. There are children playing on the sidewalks, people carrying groceries, life carrying on as if the majority of their names aren't on some rejected list of people who defected from their previous society. Suguru notices your awe at the way things are, and looks over at you, smiling brightly.
"You'd be surprised what you can build from ashes, y/n."

Naive
Ray Blackwell x M!Reader
Summary: An invitation at a party reveals that Luka had no idea you’re gay, and brings up a concern you hadn’t had before. Tags: Crack, fluff, secret relationship, mention of homophobia, alcohol consumption A/N: This is based on a dream I had where Luka and I had this exact conversation and when I woke up and remembered it I nearly threw up laughing. I did actual research for the girls outfit and hair bc im a fashion history nerd. the pocket watch i just thought was cute. Fenrir calls the reader fruity but its okay bc hes gay too god bless Word Count: 1.5k
Tumblr media
The party was the usual affair expected of the Godspeed's, an air of elegance- present but not too overbearing- hanging over the large hall. Music drifted gently to your ears as you took everything in, a small smile settling on your face.
You couldn't help but feel a little underdressed. The officers had, of course, kept their uniforms on, but everyone else present was dressed to the nines. You'd thought the suit you wore was lovely when you and Seth had seen it last week, dark blue with a white trim, paired with a pale cyan tie and pocket square. The gold watch that settled comfortably in your pocket had been a gift from Blanc, supposedly made by Oliver to look similar to his own, to commemorate your decision to stay in Cradle. Compared to everyone else, it felt rather simple now, but you pushed the thought aside. Nobody was judging what you were wearing, they were here to enjoy themselves same as you.
"Would you like a drink?" Ray asked, voice soft enough not to startle you too much. This wasn't too effective, as you'd gotten lost in your thoughts, and sort of forgotten there were people around you, but it was kind of him to try. "Oh, yes, please." You smiled at him and a moment later he'd walked off, talking to Sirius about something, leaving you alone with Luka. Fenrir had disappeared to greet his family when you'd first arrived, and Seth was who knows where, but you didn't mind it being just the two of you. Luka rarely came to these, in fact this was the first he'd been to since you'd arrived in Cradle, despite it being your fifth, and you decided someone should stick with him so he didn't feel quite as nervous.
As you turned to say something to him, you noticed a lady making her way over to the both of you, looking rather flustered. Her fists were clenched at her sides, and she seemed to be muttering something to herself, but it was clear she had intent to speak to one of you. Perhaps she wanted to talk to Luka? He was cute, it wouldn't surprise you. What did surprise you, however, was when she walked up to you instead.
"Um, excuse me if this is far too forward, but... would you be interested in dancing with me?" She sounded so nervous, and you almost wanted to say yes. Any other man would have been lucky to get such an invitation- she looked stunning. She wore her hair in curls, gathered at the back of her neck, with a hairpiece of pale blue flowers was pinned at the front, a necklace donning the same type of flower hanging just above the neckline of her gown. The gown in question matched the colour of the flowers well, though the width of the crinoline supported skirt would have made you concerned about the logistics of dancing with her- if you'd had any intention of saying yes. Her cheeks were tinted pink as she chewed her bottom lip and waited for your answer, avoiding your gaze. A hand on your chest and a sincerely apologetic look on your face, you began to respond. "Oh dear. I'm terribly sorry, but you seem to have gotten the wrong end of the stick. You're a very attractive young lady but I'm afraid... how should I put this," You glanced at Luka for help, but he seemed to have no idea what you were trying to tell her, "I'm afraid I don't tend to set my eye on the ladies, so to speak." "You're... gay?" A sympathetic nod. "That's the ticket. Sorry, love." "Oh, it's not a problem! I'm really sorry to have bothered you!" She suddenly looked much less nervous, though a little embarrassed, and scurried off. You sighed. "I feel a little bad. I really hope she finds someone to dance with." Luka looked at you quizzically. "Why did you lie to her?" A confused laugh escaped you. "I'm sorry?" "You told her you were into guys. Why lie?" As he said this, Seth and Fenrir came up behind him, and hearing his question their eyebrows shot up. So did yours. Was he kidding? "Luka, sweetie, you have got to tell me what part of my personality made you think I was heterosexual, so I can set about changing it immediately." Seth choked on his drink, and though you flashed him a grin, you weren't entirely kidding. Going from Victorian London to a world where being gay was perfectly acceptable had been quite the change, but you'd been certain all of your friends had known. It's not like you were quiet about it, and sure, Luka was naive but... come on, now. "Wait are you... you were being honest?" "Yes?" "Luka," Fenrir began, stepping next to you and resting an elbow on your shoulder, "How have you seriously not noticed that he's gay yet?" "Well- there was no reason for me to assume!" "You watched me drunk make out with at least 2 different Black Army soldiers in my first month here!" Luka looked flustered, and utterly dumbfounded. The expression was one he wore often, usually when people insinuated that someone was in love- but somehow about five times more confused. He was unfortunate enough that Ray and Sirius returned at this moment, just in time to hear both your last remark, and his next one.
"I thought that was just something you did when you were drunk?" In another moment you were on your knees, legs shaking so much from laughter that you couldn't hold yourself up any longer. Fenrir was right there beside you, practically convulsing. Everyone else was laughing too- except poor Luka. You felt a little bad, truly you did, but this had to be the funniest thing you had ever heard. "He's completely straight, but watch out! Get a couple drinks in him and he turns fruity!" Fenrir managed to get out between cackles, and Ray was glad to have put your drinks down when Luka had last spoken, because he too nearly fell to the ground at this.
"Luka- Luka I'm sorry." You pulled yourself to your feet, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "We aren't laughing at you." Another fit of giggles overcame you. "Okay we kind of are, but it's not malicious or anything. That was just... hands down the funniest thing you've ever said." It took most of you 5 or so minutes to fully calm down from what he'd said, and anything that jogged your memories of it would bring you back to a state of uncontrollable laughter for the rest of the night. Luka came round to it being pretty funny after you talked him through the dozens of times you'd mentioned your sexuality to him since you'd met- every one of which had gone over his head.
Hours after the party had worn down and you'd all made your way home, you lay in bed, your head pressed against a familiar chest, and sighed. "What's up?" "I just... D'you think anyone else just hasn't realised?" Ray cocked his head, confused. "I'm gonna need a little more info than that, kitten." "I suppose I just... Back in London, it's not even legal to be gay, and I don't know if it ever will be. When I first came out to Fen, he told me that it was fine here, accepted and even celebrated. So, I guess I just thought that people wouldn't make the automatic assumption that I'm straight, y'know? I mean I talk about it a lot among you guys but- when I’m out and about... where do people think my final destination is? When I pick up a silly cat themed gift for you does the shopkeep think I’m buying it for my wife? It shouldn't be a big deal, I guess, but I'd never been able to be myself until I came here, and now it's like I can be me but... people will still only see who I am if I tell them. It's just weird is all. I dunno. Maybe I'm drunk." "You're not drunk. It's an understandable concern. I guess I've never thought about it, because whether or not people would accept that part of me has never been an issue, but the fact that you've had to hide it for so long and now that you're able to be open people still aren't seeing it must be hard. If you want we could... come out, so to speak?" Your eyebrows raised, and you moved back, propping yourself up on your arm so you could look your partner in the eyes.
It had been decided at the very start of your relationship, which had officially begun a few months after you'd made the choice to stay in Cradle, that the two of you would keep it under wraps for a while. Being from the Land of Reason was more than enough reason for people to take an unwanted interest in you, and you didn't need the extra attention being the King of Spades' partner would garner. Plus, anyone with a grudge against Ray would see you as a target the second you announced it. It had been a sensible suggestion on his part, one you hadn't hesitated to agree to, and as far as you knew only Sirius and Fenrir knew about your relationship. Fenrir because he had walked in on you sitting in Ray's lap while he worked late one night, and Sirius because- well, can anything get past that guy? And now, Ray was offering to tell the entirety of Cradle you were his, just so that you didn't feel like you were hiding your identity anymore? You could feel your eyes starting to burn, and you cursed the late hour and the alcohol in your system for making you cry so easily, but... "I don't think we need to be that drastic. You were right when you said it would keep me safe for us to not be in the public eye, at least for now. I'm sure Seth can come up with some better way for me to tell the whole world I'm gay." "I don't doubt that at all." Ray grinned, placing a gentle kiss on first your forehead, then your nose, and finally on your lips. "Tomorrow, though. You need your beauty sleep." "Ah, yeah, can't risk getting ugly. My boyfriend might not want me anymore." You quipped. "Exactly." He smirked at you, turning out the light and pulling you into his arms.

I gotchu anon. This one hits close to home😔but tbh was pretty therapeutic to write
If you ever need someone to talk to about it, my dms are always open.
⚠️Obvious trigger warning for child abuse below the cut⚠️
You hated it, how even after all these years, just a string of words, a smell, a nightmare, anything that reminded you even slightly of that time could send you spiraling; amp up your heart rate, disrupt your breathing, force tears to your eyes, and steal your ability to speak.
It was rarer, these days, for that all consuming feeling of dread and fear to overtake you. Time would never heal this, but it was easier to push it to the back of your mind, to go through the motions of your day to day like a semi-functional human being, with the trauma of days long gone buried securely behind multiple thick walls.
So rare, in fact, that you had never brought it up to your lover. Its not that you didn't trust them, far from it. Your conversations had merely never turned in that direction, and there was never a right time to just bring that up. You kept telling yourself that it didn't matter, that it was long in the past and you hadn't even had an anxiety attack in ages anyway.
But now, here you were, curled up in your bed, blanket wrapped tightly around your shoulders in an attempt to hold yourself together.
Your door opened and fear shot through you like cold fire, for the briefest of seconds you were that same scared little child again, expecting to see your abuser as your eyes shot to the source of footsteps. Relief washed over you like a warm wave as you saw it was not them, but your lover, their eyes full of barely concealed concern as they rushed to your side, taking your hands in theirs and searching your eyes.
"Whats wrong?"
You opened your mouth, but no words came, only a choked sob as tears spilled down your face. Your tongue felt like lead in your mouth, your jaw wired together by anxiety. Their grip on your hands tightened.
It was time. You needed to tell them. You wanted to tell them. And so you took a deep breath, and told your story as best as you could.
Itachi:
Listens to you calmly and patiently, though inside his heart is breaking for you.
He's almost relieved, in a way, that you're opening up to him
It explains so much, and he's kicking himself for not realizing sooner, for not seeing the signs, certain aspects of your behavior, for what they were and putting two and two together
Feels like a terrible boyfriend for not noticing and leaving you to deal with this on your own
But you're not on your own anymore
he may not totally understand your situation, but he's no stranger to traumatic childhood events himself
Makes it clear that he is going to support you and support you hard, making sure you know you can talk to him about this any time
He never brings it up first, but is always ready to listen
All in all yall already know he's perfect boyfriend material and this is no exception
Kisame:
Similar to itachi tbh
But even better
A great listener but also somehow knows exactly what to say???
"You have every right to be upset."
"You're not defined by this."
"I'm proud of you for being so strong, but you're not alone anymore. I'm here to support you now."
Here king you dropped your crown👑
You will feel so much better after opening up to this man I swear it
He has def had to comfort someone close to him in this way before, maybe a sister or team mate
He's just too good to not have
But we all know his heart is just as big as his sword so its no surprise that he's like this
Has always been understanding when you're having a more difficult day, but now that he knows the cause of some of your actions is trauma, he knows just how to calm you down and ground you
100/10 marry this man or I will
Deidara:
Is stunned, tbh
Like he never fucking suspected
Feels like shit honestly, what kind of boyfriend is he that he couldn't even tell his lover was struggling with something so big?
Knows he shouldn't be making this conversation about himself, though, so he doesn't say any of that
His hand mouths kiss your palms to try to comfort you
Pulls you into a giant hug when you finish speaking and kisses your tears away
Oh shit but wait maybe you don't want to be touched right now? Thats a thing right?
Doesn't have any knowledge on this but he's trying ok
Is very open to any changes that come to your dynamics because of the new found news
Maybe a bit too open
Like completely stops initiating sex because he doesn't want you to feel pressured
And just all in all starts treating you like you're fragile
Its sweet, his heart is in the right place, but that isn't what you want of course
So you have to sit him down and tell him that you're still you, and he's still him, and that you don't want your relationship to change because of something that happened before you even met
That finally makes it click for him, and he goes back to his normal self pretty quickly
And he is always, always there if you want to talk about it. He may not understand, but he loves you and will do whatever he can to help you feel less alone
Sasori:
He done been knew
Well, he heavily suspected. I head canon him as an abuse survivor himself, and he recognized the signs
Knows how difficult it is to talk about, so he was just waiting for you to feel comfortable enough to bring it up
Lowkey relieved, because even though its horrible, having someone else who understands that particular brand of trauma is rare
Especially for him since he's never opened up to anyone else like he has you
But he's also fucking furious
We all know Sasori views people as possessions
And even though he loves you more than anything else in the world, he still feels that way about you too, to a smaller extent, but its there
So the thought that someone did that to something of his?
Oh he mad
But he has enough wherewithal to not let you see that burning rage while you're upset and confiding in him
He listens attentively, and gives you as much comfort as he can until you calm down
Finds some way to weasel out the identity of your abuser without upsetting you(ya boi is manipulative af)
Later has one of his spies hunt the person down and capture them, and then sneaks off and takes his sweet time to make them regret ever even looking at you
Might tell you about his own abuse sometime in the future. Maybe.
Kakazu:
Its not often that Kakazu feels the need to put effort into holding back his anger
But this is one of those times
Because he is livid
He has always taken extra joy in collecting the heads of child rapists for bounties
He may be immoral in regards to most things, but that is a line that should not be crossed
And to think about that happening to you makes him want to kill
Makes a vow to himself as soon as the words leave your lips, that he will find the scum that did this and destroy them. Slowly. Painfully.
But for now he listens, holding you hands with as much gentle care as he can muster
Kakuzu is at a loss for how to handle delicate, emotional situations like this. But he tries, for you.
Wiping away your tears and holding you softly, allowing far more cuddles and gentle affection than he normally would that night
He feels that acting different around you after would be an insult to your ability to handle a problem you've been dealing with for years
But he can't help but be a little easier on you, letting you get away with more back talk or general acts of affection than usual
He may even surprise you with a few small gifts
That necklace you were eyeing in the last town? That new album by that group you like that just dropped? A collectors edition of your favorite book?
As much as he hates spending money, he just can't help himself
Afterall, the fact that you trusted him, him, with this information makes him feel a bit squishy inside
Hidan:
Another one for team "I'll fucking kill them!"
But much more upfront about it
Unlike Sasori and Kakuzu, he does not have the sense to not let his rage be know to you while you're telling him
But then he sees how you shrink, how you curl further into yourself, how you start crying that much harder
"Fuck, baby, I'm sorry. I'm not mad at you."
Once you calm down, you have to explain that him being angry and aggressive does not help when you're fighting off these memories
He feels like shit for upsetting you further
Go easy on him. You're the first person he's ever cared about. He's emotionally stunted but hes trying
Kind of just shuts up and let's you talk after that
Is lowkey amazed that you were hiding all these awful feelings this whole time
Is also lowkey amazed that you were able to function and seem so normal with them
Holds you close when you finish, and in the most serious, calm tone you've ever heard from him, promises that no one will ever hurt you like that again, and that he will make this person pay
They aren't worthy of being a sacrifice to Lord Jashin.
But you best believe Hidan will make them suffer
Konan:
Sad girl is sad
Also not surprised, she knows how common it is for these things to happen
She's dealt with sexual harassment hersef
But her heart aches for you
Holds you tight, letting you cry into her shoulder and cling to her as much as you want
Soothingly stroking your back or arm or petting your hair as you let it all out
She can relate to many of the feelings you share
Is literally the only one who thinks to ask if you have any triggers
Not quite as supportive as Kisame, but still validates your feelings
"Its ok to be angry."
"You've been so strong."
"Be gentle with yourself."
Doesn’t let it affect your relationship
But she is more understanding if you get in a mood
If you're being especially irritable or pushing her away, she may ask, "are you ok?" and give you a look
Its frustrating but also helps ground you
10/10 wifey I love her
Nagato/Pain:
Poor baby is devastated
Also concerned
You've been hiding this pain from him all this time… why?
Do you not trust him?
Do you not think he could handle knowing?
All he wants is to take your heart ache from you, even if it means it becomes his
Lovers should share everything, including pain
And so you tell him, though teary eyes, that no, no, of course not, that's not it
Its just that every time you wanted to tell him, you just…  couldn't
How the trauma would cause your body to physically prevent you from speaking about it, even when you wanted to
You both end up crying
He wants to know everything about how it affects you, physically, emotionally, all of it
The more he knows, the more he can do to help
Lowkey might have Konan pick him up a book or two on the subject, just to get a better understanding
You already know he’s gonna obliterate the person who did this to you
Obito:
This man i swear
He's worse than Deidara
Finding out something so terrible happened to you, seeing how deeply its hurt you, has him crying right along with you
Feels helpless that he can't make it better
"I should have been there to protect you."
"Obito, we didn't even know each other."
"That's irrelevant."
Is super comforting though, kisses your fingers and plays with your hair and tells you how much he loves you
Very eager to do anything in his power to make you smile
"Is there anything I can get you, baby? Do you want a glass of water? Tea? Sake? How about some ice cream? A foot massage? New kunai? A private island? Want me to kill all the world leaders tomorrow?"
He's excessive but its cute and makes you laugh
Is the only one considerate enough to actually ask if you're OK with him killing your abuser
If you say yes, he'll also ask if you want to watch
There won't be anything left of the person after Obito is done with them. No blood. Not a scorch mark. Not even a stray skin cell. Nothing. He completely erases them from existence.
If you say no though, he's probably still gonna do it anyway, but make it look like an accident. He just can't let that person live after what they did to you.
But hey, at least he asked first right?

Masterlist | Prologue (The Spy) | Prologue (The Soldier)
The sun shines down on your back as you walk along the dirt road. You were currently surrounded by all the men heading off together to the capitol in order to enlist so that they could fulfill the decree’s demand. The original group that you had left with was much smaller than the current group you were walking with. As the group had traveled, more and more men of all ages joined the party, making it grow in size. This led to you hanging out in the back, more often than not. You were trying to avoid as many people as possible to lessen the chance of someone figuring out your secret. You figured the less people you talked to the lower your chances were for any of them asking questions and figuring out your gender. This was why you often hung out at the back of the party, especially as it grew in size, to avoid conversations. Unfortunately, Helios seemed to want you to stay by his side for the entire trip and subsequent enlistment.
While you appreciated his desire to keep you safe, it was also a pain how overbearing he was being. You had known Helios your entire life, so you understood him when he kept insisting you stay by him. Helios saw himself as your protector on this journey. Afterall, you had that type of unofficial engagement that came from living in a small town, the type that wasn’t real but most boys or men believed it was. Thus, you knew that he wasn’t so much worried about another man discovering your secret and what it could do to you and your family, but rather if another man would try and make a move on you. This was why you had not even gone two miles into the journey before doing everything in your power to separate yourself from him. If he was overbearing the whole trip, someone would get suspicious and ask questions. That was something you didn’t want to happen, or rather, that you couldn't let happen.
Moving your hand, you shade your eyes so you can look at the sun. You were rather grateful for your short hair at this moment, it was much cooler than your long hair had been on a sunny day.  It was almost midday from what you could see, which meant that you would need to find a place off the road to eat midday meal.
At that very moment a call went out, “Time to stop for a midday meal.” A great cry went up from all the men at the news. The crowd moved towards the large covered wagon that held the food for the collective. You knew better than to head to the front like everyone else. Slipping between the people, you made your way towards the back of the covered wagon. The back of the covered wagon had a window that all the other men seem to forget about. They always headed to the front window, because that was the main place that food was served. However, you had learned early on that if you went to the back window, you could be given food before the majority of the others. Arriving at the back window, you gave it a knock to let the person inside know you were there. The window opened to reveal a rather small man. A cheeky smile came to his eyes once he saw who had knocked.
"Ah, Lyn. Hold on I have your meal coming right up." The small man left the window for just a few moments before coming back with a bowl of grits and an apple in hand. "Fresh and ready to go my lad." He said, taking too much joy from you cheating the system. You smile at him, he was trouble but at least he was fun.
"Thanks Kibum," you say, making your voice a little lower than your normal tone. "Tell Minho he better not have poisoned me." As you walk away you could hear Kibum's laugh roaring behind you. As quickly and quietly as you had gotten to the wagon, you left in the same manner. The next step for you was to find a place to eat away from everyone else. Fortunately, you spotted a lone tree not too far from the path. It was the perfect spot, it had shade and was away from where everyone else was gathering to eat. You walk over to it and find a perfect spot to sit under the tree that provides the most shade. You had barely sat down and leaned up against the tree, when the peace is interrupted by someone calling out for you.
“Y/N!” Helios yells. Panic fills you as he calls you by your real name. You jump up quickly from your spot under the tree and look around it to find Helios searching for you.
“Helios!” you call out, “What the hell are you doing?” Hearing his name, Helios makes eye contact with you and a look of relief comes to his face. He walks over to your spot under the tree. The light shining bright on him, making his golden hair glow.
"There you are, I was wondering where you ran off to. I just got you a spot to sit in the group for the meal but you had already vanished." You could feel frustration building up within you.
"I've already told you, Helios, I don't want to sit with those guys cause they bring too much attention to themselves. I'm trying to keep a low profile." Which you seem to not understand you think to yourself, "And I told you, don't call me Y/N. I am Lyn from now on and no matter when or where we are, you need to call me that." Helios lets out a breath of frustration. It seems you aren't the only frustrated person.
"And do I have to tell you again to stay close to me. I need to make sure you're safe. I promised both my sister and parents to look after you." He says.
"I know, and I am grateful for your help, but you're not doing a good job of keeping a low-profile. That's what I need right now, not a personal guardian. I'm not a child, Helios, I can take care of myself pretty well on my own." A short laugh leaves Helios.
"Barely, you aren't nearly as old as me or even half the men here. Just imagine what will happen to you if you're alone with any of them, or worse one of the enemy."
"I'll punch them in the face," you respond, "I've got a good hook." Helios doesn't seem to like that answer. His frustration becoming more clear as he crosses his arms.
"This isn't a joke." He says through gritted teeth.
"I don't think it is. You just don't trust me to be alone with anyone other than you, and I don't trust you to keep a low-profile. So I did both of us a favor and just separated myself from everyone. It's the best of both world" You sigh. Calming yourself down a little, you try talking to Helios again without yelling at him. "Look, I know you're trying to take care of me and keep your promise; but I'll be fine, I promise." A large sigh escapes Helios, he looks back over at the large group.
"I know you'll be fine. Doesn't mean I like it."
"I know," you say, "can you just trust me to be alone, maybe stop being so overbearing? Just for today at least?" You reach out and place your hand on Helios' arm. It seems to calm him down a tiny bit.
"Fine, you can eat your lunch alone today. But," he turns back to look at you, "can you promise to sleep next to me for the rest of the trip? It's the one thing I ask."
"Sure," you promise, "I have no problem with that. As long as you let me sleep." A small chuckle leaves both of you. A small peace comes between you two, if just for now. Helios unfolds his arms and pulls you into a hug.
"Just be careful" he says against your head. You nod to reassure him. Helios let you go rather reluctantly, giving you a small smile as he leaves. "See you around, Lyn." He says, putting great emphasis on the word.
As you watch Helios walk away, you can feel your frustration slowly starting to fade away with him. This journey was not going to be easy with Helios acting this way. However, you don’t have long to relax before you hear a noise. It was the awkward clearing of someone’s throat. Panic quickly overtakes you and you freeze upon hearing the noise.
“Well, that definitely wasn’t a conversation I was supposed to hear.” Following the sound of the voice, you look up into the tree you're under to see the last you want. It's a young man, nay more like a boy, sitting in the tree. He is long limbed and lanky, with black hair and dark eyes. Even though he looks to be on the younger side, his face is shaped and chilled like that of an older person. He's a strange combination of both man and boy and you can't quite seem to get a grasp on his true age.
“How long have you been there?” You ask. You feel foolish asking but you don’t know what else to say. The lanky boy smiles rather cheekily and rubs the back of his head.
“The whole time, I got here before you.” The panic within you changes to terror. He heard everything. He knows. It no longer matters if Helios can stop acting obvious, it’s already too late. You feel your breathing begin to come out in pants of terror. The boy seems to catch on to your panic and worry covers his face.
“Don’t panic! I won’t tell anyone.” The whole world seems to freeze at his statement. He won’t tell? But why? What does he have to gain from not telling?
“Why?” you ask, looking at him laying out in the branches. The lanky boy moves from his reclined position to one where he is sitting up straight on one branch. His booted-feet dangle just above your head.
“Cause I don’t see any reason to, you’re doing no harm.” he says casually. You are shocked at his response.
"What do you mean no harm?" You ask.
"Well," the lanky boy sighs, "you being a girl doesn't change the fact that you're probably going to fight and die, the same as the rest of us. You probably also didn't plan on signing up for fun, especially if your beau over there is going on about keeping you safe."
"He's not my beau, just a family friend." You say, almost mumbling it. The boy nods, understanding coming over his face as he grasps the relationship you and Helios share. You feel relief flood through you, he wasn’t going to tell anyone. His reasoning made sense, and it made you almost embarrassed how nervous you were about the whole situation. Your moment of relief stops almost as soon as it starts when the boy speaks again.
“I understand why you want to keep it a secret though.”
“You do?” you ask, tilting your head.
“Yah,” the boy says, “Not everyone is going to think the same way I do about, well, this whole situation.” he says gesturing towards you. “The higher ups might see you as cheating the system, and, well, army men are not exactly the best people to be around as a girl.” You wince at the thought of what could happen to you if everyone did find out about your gender. Maybe your concerns were warranted if even this random boy thought so. You were then struck by an embarrassing thought, you hadn’t asked the boy his name yet.
Blushing a little you say, “I just realized I haven’t asked what your name is yet. You know mine, hell both of mine." You hear a small chuckle leave the boy and your nerves get even worse. "So, it would probably be good to ask what yours is.” The boy smiles at you, he jumps down from his spot on the tree branch. He lands easily on his feet, straightening up and pushing off his black tunic and brown pants. He puts out his hand for you to shake.
“Sehun, it's nice to meet you, Lyn." You reach out and shake his hand. You feel warmth grow inside you as his uses your fake name.
"Ummm," a sense of awkwardness falls between the two of you. You rack your brain to come up with something to say. "Where are you from?" You say rather awkwardly shrugging your shoulders in a way that shows you have no confidence in the question. Sehun sighs and looks back the way the party had come.
"I live on a farm near the Oh Valley. Maybe about two miles or so outside the town in the valley." Shock overcomes you, that's the neighboring town to your hometown. He probably lives not more than ten miles away from your home.
"What!?" You exclaim, "That's the crazy, I live just outside the town in the south hills from the Valley. We're practically neighbors!" Sehun's face lights up with excitement, his face changing into a boyish grin that makes him look almost cute. "It seems fate is wanting us to be friends or something." You say, grinning wide.
"I don't know about that," Sehun says, a skeptical look in his eyes. "Nevertheless, it's nice to meet someone from the same area as me." He then leans forward a little. "If you do want to be friends then I am more than open to the idea. I've been on my own this whole trip and I would love to have someone to travel with." You feel a smile come to your face. You bring your fingers to your chin, in a mock thinking position.
"Hmmmm," you muse, "that is a very intriguing offer. I have been in the market for a partner in this journey, my current one doesn't seem to be respecting my wishes exactly." The smile of Sehun's face turns into a smirk.
"Well, I promise to keep your secret, respect you as an individual, and only ask that you don't get annoyed with me." Sehun says.
"Deal," you put out your hand to seal the "deal". Sehun takes your hand and shakes it firmly. Before both of you know it, you're laughing way to hard. The giddiness that floods your heart is something you weren't expecting. You like Sehun, a lot actually. He seems like a fun person, but still a good one. After you both catch your breath after laughing, you motion to the food you have sitting on the ground.
"If you don't mind, can we sit down so I can eat?" You ask.
"Of course," Sehun says. You sit back down on the ground, getting yourself comfortable and finally able to eat.
"Now then," Sehun says, settling down next to you. He eyes your food with a greedy look that makes you shake your head at him, "Why did you sign up? There has to be a story to it." You sigh, you knew he would ask but it wasn't something you really wanted to talk about.
"I'm an only child, so the only male in my family is my father. He isn't exactly young and full of the spirit of youth anymore. When I saw the decree, I knew that he would definitely die if he went to fight. He probably wouldn't even make it past training without some health concern. So, I decided to go in his place and tell my parents that the decree said one member of the family and leave out the male part. I went to the family friends we had and told them the whole situation. They weren't exactly happy about the situation as you can tell." You say gesturing to where Helios left earlier. "But they all knew that it was the best opinion. Then the parents told Helios, that guy from earlier, to make sure I'm safe, and you can clearly see how well that's going for the two of us." You take a bite of your grits after you finish your small tale. Sehun looks at you with an thoughtful look.
"They're going to find out you lied to them." He says.
"I know," you respond, "by the time they learn though it will already be too late." Sehun let's out a small chuckle.
"I can see you thought this through." He comments
"Sort of," you say, "I kind of come up with the plan as I walked home from town, and then showed up at the family friends house with cut hair and a vague plan. It all came together after that." You take another bite of your grits. You can see Sehun continue to eye the food, and hold out your bowl to him. "Want a bite?" You ask.
"Yes please," he responds, "I didn't grab any food." You raise one of your eyebrows and give me a look of confusion.
"Why would you do that?" You ask, while handing him your apple.
"Didn't feel like dealing with that mob." He says. He takes the apple from your hand and immediately starts to devour it. You let out a small chuckle. What an interesting reason for not getting food.
"When did you plan on eating then?" You ask.
"I usually eat in the mornings and evenings." Sehun response, apple already half gone.
"All because you don't want to deal with the group?"
"Yup," he says. You make a humming nosie of acknowledgement, it wasn't exactly a bad idea but one that you don't think you could do. You decide to change the subject at hand.
"What's your story?" You ask. Sehun looks at you with confusion on his face.
"My story?"
"Yah, why are you here? Are you an only child? Only living male? Everyone has a reason for being here, and you heard mine, so what's yours?" You take another bite and wait for Sehun to answer. He sighs and his face becomes more serious. Yet again, he looks older when he isn't smiling in some capacity.
"It's nothing really extraordinary, like yours." Sehun leans back against the tree and looks out over the field. "I'm the youngest of two brothers, and my older brother had just recently gotten engaged. I thought that if he died, it would be worse than me. So, when the conversation came up, I offered and no one could really argue with me." Sehun takes a final bite out of his apple and mutters, "that's all there is to it." His story is simple but it does tells you one thing about Sehun, he cares deeply for those he loves. He's almost like you in a way, choosing to go enlist because you dying would be the least painful in the family. Pausing in your meal, you look at Sehun. You can see the silent resignation in his eyes, that look of knowing he may never be able to see his family again and this is his one final act love for them.
"I understand," you say. Sehun looks at you and a sense of companionship passes between you. Sehun clears his throat and tries to change the subject.
"So, what are your plans for after the war?" He asks, throwing his apple core away. You're thrown completely off by his question. You never really thought about what you're going to do after the war.
"I don't know," you say, "probably just go back to the farm and continue to work it." Sehun nods slowly. A small silence falls between the two of you. You venture to try and start up the conversation again.
"Do you have something in mind for after the war?" You ask.
"Not really," Sehun states, "Maybe stay on with the Army."
"Is that something you want to do?" you ask, a little intrigued at the thought of Sehun officially joining the Army.
"I don't know," he responds, "I mostly just want to get out of my home, start a new life somewhere else. I want to be more than just a second son to a farmer; and I feel like this could really provide me the opportunity I've been looking for." You nod your head in a acknowledgement. You understand that thought process, Helios has a similar idea but it wasn't as simple. Sehun genuinely seemed like he was trying to figure out what to do with his life and he felt being in the army or even in the capital would give him that opportunity. Helios just wanted to be important, and he saw being in the army as a way of doing that. In a way, you can relate more Sehun's idea than Helios's, the idea of starting over somewhere new to figure out your life is something everyone has felt. You reach out and grasp Sehun's hand strongly. He is taken off guard at your sudden action. You look him dead in the eyes, which were a beautiful chocolate color.
"Well then, as my repayment to you for keeping my secret, I promise to make sure that you will live to the end of this war and can figure out what you're meant to do with your life." Sehun smiles one of his childlike smiles and a look of fondness comes to his eyes. You feel your heart swell with happiness, even though you have just met this lad, you already feet deep affection for him and the want to keep him smiling like that. Sehun's grip on your hand tightens.
"Thank you, Y/N" he whispers, so quite you almost can't hear it. At that very moment a call goes out.
"All bowls need to be returned to the wagon and those who have start walking!" Sehun and you both look back to the party and hear the noises of grumbling men and boys.
"Well, you better return that bowl or you'll lose your head." Sehun jests.
You look back at him and retort, "I'd like to seem them try." Sehun let's out a chuckle and stands up, pulling you up along with him.
"Shall we?" he asks, hand still clasped in yours.
"We shall." You respond taking off in a run, pulling the poor boy behind you.
"Lynnnnn." Sehun whines. You only laugh, but still hold onto his hand. Sehun likewise, despite his whining, holds on firmly to your hand.
