I'm going to be honest, I didn't like Kaeya's hangout, (or the way they are handling his character in general)

As a starter half of the routes felt too on the nose, just literally spelling out everything, it's not even foreshadowing at this point (I was laughing out loud at the theater route because holy shit, they didn't even try to be subtle, come on).

I feel like while showing Kaeya's more human side is a good thing there is never any contrast. We are supposed to believe he's an antihero, a complicated guy, a borderline sadist (according to his character stories, the manwha, and some character voicelines). But all he does is be mildly snarky at worst, everyone loves him and it seems to be requited. And there's nothing wrong with that, but I feel like I've been baited into liking a different character than I what was originally presented with. I started Genshin with the manga, manwha?, webtoon (I know it's not the Chinese term I just don't remember the name) and Kaeya especially just feels like a different guy, and that was the character I liked!. I don't know, is it a me thing?, are we actually going to see the shadowy part, the anti of anti-hero?. The contrast is supposed to be the point of his character but as it stands he's just a nice guy with good intentions and good morals and mostly good execution who lies at times.

Even the Collei thing, the most questionable thing he's done, was borderline ret-conned in game.
