I need to make something very clear as a die-hard BH6 fan that (fairly, tbh, he IS very smort) seems to have escaped crossover fandoms.

Hiro Hamada sucks at English. Can't tell the difference between they're/there/their (canon in his diary published by Disney). He's not organized in the slightest. He's a genius, and proudly identifies as a nerd, but he doesn't act or talk nerdy. Math and tech are instinct to him and he learned terms for things later, most likely from Tadashi.

Also, post-movie, yes, Hiro is still grieving Tadashi, but it's a quiet, sad, personal grief, not angry or snappish. He processes his feelings in a way that is much more healthy than at the start of the movie. He's a hero because he wants to help people and continue his brother's work that way, not just because he's a kid who's excited about it. He's matured a lot, gone through a lot of posttraumatic growth- make no mistake, he still falls prone to stubbornness and pride, but he's not childish anymore. He's got the mentality of an adult to go with the dorky personality.

So if you've got him in a crossover like the Futuristic Four, remember: he's probably gonna be one of the more level-headed people in the group, will probably naturally try to guide them, and he's gotten very open about trying to help people out of bad situations or feelings (if you look at the series, he DOES genuinely try to reach out to Karmi at the end of Issue 188, she's the one to reject his vulnerability. He also tries to help Trina, feels sympathy for Obake, that sort of thing). He fully takes on Tadashi's philosophy of "someone has to help". He's kinder, more generous, more disciplined, more open to other people, and noticeably more humble than he was when his arc started.

Wilbur: so basically he hasn't changed too much from the movie and video game, he thinks things though a bit more (not by much tho lmaooo)

since he's a bit older the teenager crisis kicks in and I say he has imposter syndrome low key cuz he's teaming up with literal superhero's and his dad is basically Tony stark and in his mind he can't match up or make a name for himself without being tied to his dad and he feels like he doesn't like- measure up to the other three so we get a character arc 😈

Penny: she's still doing spy work but as a civilian she's still a celebrity as it's been like a year since she quit the show. She's still a bit shaken up by the events of the movie and has trouble opening up to the others, it gets better tho.

Small thing about the powers she gets in the au, she has empathy powers (can basically feel others emotions and vice versa) and on some level can communicate with animals. She gets a hold on her powers way easier than Wilbur.

Hiro: does hero work after the movie (never seen the show) he's still very sore about Tadashi's death (reasonably so) and is very snippy. He is super closed off the with others and that's kinda how he and Violet grow close 👀

Violet: a lot more open after both movies, still a hit stand offish though, she and Wilbur clash A LOT, like enemies type shit. At some point they're gonna have a really bad argument and someone's issues are gonna get aired tf out and they'll reach a understanding or find common ground and become friendly to each-other. Not now tho lol

Meet the Family

Written for Futuristic Four Week 2024! Today's theme was Family. (I'll also be posting these as a series over on ao3, though we'll see if I make all the days on time lmao)

Summary: Wilbur invites his friends over to meet his family. He maybe should have given a few more details on who--and what--all his family includes. Gen, humor.

“No…” Wilbur said warningly as the great, gaping maw lowered slowly toward Hiro and Violet, teeth edging toward Violet’s forcefield while one beady eye watched Wilbur to see if its owner could get away with this. “Don’t do it…”

The monster lunged. Violet shrieked and slammed more energy into her forcefield. Hiro yelled and ducked instinctively, then peeked out from behind Violet’s shoulder, bare fists raised as if that would somehow do any good.

“No!” Wilbur yelled. “Bad dinosaur!”

Hiro and Violet screamed again as the T. rex chomped down on Violet’s forcefield and began to shake it like a dog with a ball. Violet concentrated everything she had on not dropping the forcefield as Hiro crashed into her and the two teens bounced around the purple bubble. They could dimly hear Wilbur still shouting.

Suddenly they were spinning across the grass in bright sunshine.

“Wo-o-oah!”

They rolled and tumbled and somehow, finally, slowed to a stop. Hiro staggered up, swayed, and promptly fell over again, too dizzy to stand. Violet clambered to her own feet carefully, trying very hard not to lose focus on the forcefield. It looked like it was dripping drool.

“Ew…”

“At least the shield held,” Hiro wheezed. “Thanks, Vi.”

Looking out, Violet saw Wilbur, not too far away (apparently they had done more spinning than actual traveling, which explained why her head was doing cartwheels), hands on his hips, scolding the T. rex that had almost just eaten his friends, while it sat on its haunches with a shamed, hanging head.

A panicked shout for Wilbur to get out of there! hurtled up Violet’s throat, paused, and died. It was replaced by annoyance. Extreme annoyance.

“Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” She looked at Hiro.

He’d managed to get to his feet, and was watching with a nonplussed expression.

“Seriously, Wilbur?” he yelled.

Wilbur looked over, grinning. Hiro and Violet glared.

“What?” Wilbur asked.

“‘What?’” Violet shrieked.

“When you said we should meet your family, this was not what I pictured,” Hiro complained.

“I told you I had pets!”

“You said you had dogs!” Violet said. “You said Buster was, and I quote, ‘a Kennel Club crossword champion’.”

“That is not a dog!” Hiro gestured violently at the dinosaur, which was trotting happily after Wilbur as he walked over to his friends.

“Because that’s not Buster,” Wilbur said as though Hiro and Violet were the ones being silly here. “That’s Tiny.”

A shadow fell over the bubble as Wilbur—and his scaly terrier—reached it. Violet looked up at the dinosaur. It was easily 10 or 15 feet tall.

“Of course it is,” she said.

“Bowler Hat Guy brought him from the past during that one incident I’m not really supposed to talk about,” (Wilbur ran on too fast for either of the others to point out that they already knew practically everything about ‘that incident’, because Wilbur was absolutely terrible at not talking) “and we couldn’t figure out exactly when or where from to put him back. I mean, you can’t just dump a T. rex anywhere—he’d totally mess up the local ecosystem! And then we accidentally socialized him, and you really can’t dump a tame T. rex anywhere.”

“I don’t think tame T. rexes try to eat people,” Hiro said.

“He wasn’t trying to eat you. He was playing.”

“How was that—!”

Violet’s indignant question was cut off by the jangle of Hiro’s phone. He fished it out of his pocket and looked at the screen.

“It’s Penny.” He put her on speaker. “Hey, Penny.”

“Hi, Hiro. Are you already at Wilbur’s?”

“Yeah; Violet, too.” He looked at Tiny, clearly pondering the best, snarkiest way to mention their situation.

“I wanted to tell him sorry for being late, and I’m heading over now, but he forgot his phone somewhere again.”

“I did not!” Wilbur protested. “I…put it in a secure location.”

“You lost it,” Penny laughed. “Why do you sound so muffled?”

Hiro flicked on video chat. After a moment, Penny appeared on the screen, squinting at her phone.

“Why are you in a forcefield?”

Hiro silently panned the camera over.

Penny yelped and vanished in a pinwheel of house-grass-sky-Penny-house-grass. A second later she snatched her phone off the ground again and gaped at it.

“Is that a dinosaur? …he’s not eating Wilbur.”

“He’s tame!” Wilbur threw out his hands in exasperation. “He only went after Violet and Hiro because Dad made him some extra-reinforced jumbo beach balls to play with, and he thinks the forcefield is one.”

Tiny looked up hopefully and thumped his tail at the phrase ‘beach balls’. Violet glared.

“…are you serious?” Penny said slowly.

“I—”

“You’re petting a T. rex without me?! That’s so unfair! Aw man, traffic’s terrible this time of day. It’ll take forever to get there.”

“I can get Uncle Art to give you a ride,” Wilbur said. “He left on a delivery out near you right before Hiro and Violet showed up, and his ship’s plenty fast.”

“Don’t you need your phone to call him?” Hiro asked at the same time Violet said:

“Wait, so all those times you mentioned his spaceship, you meant actual spaceship? Your cousins aren’t going to turn out to be vampires, are they?”

Wilbur glared at them both.

“That’d be great, Wilbur; thanks!” Penny called loudly over the phone, though she was clearly stifling laughter too.

“…I might need some help finding my phone, though.” Wilbur said. He looked pointedly at the forcefield.

Violet eyed Tiny skeptically.

“You sure he’s not going to eat us?”

“Hurry up and find Wilbur’s phone so I can meet the dinosaur, guys!” Penny called.

“His name’s Tiny,” Wilbur said.

“Oh, that’s so cute—”

“Seriously, Penny?” Hiro asked. “You don’t care at all that we’re about to get eaten?”

“Alright, here goes nothing,” Violet said. “But Hiro, you better keep that call going. If we’re going to get mauled by a T. rex for Penny’s curiosity, I want her as a witness.”

Five minutes later, tentatively scratching Tiny’s great bronzy side, Hiro asked:

“So, are the rest of your family this weird?”

“Oh, no,” Wilbur said with a shrug. “The frogs are all from this time period; Mom just genetically modified them for intelligence. Which reminds me, we better go in through the side door. They tried to start a protection racket with Uncle Spike and Dmitri’s lawn gnomes, and now there’s a mafia war going in the front yard.”

“…I’m going to take that as a yes.”

The Lazy Four

I should preface this by saying that I actually don't really partake in the Futuristic Four shenanigans, but I thought this would be a fun exercise.

"Lazy Days" is a Meet the Robinsons AU I created. It's essentially an AU where the family are really cozy and chill. I thought, hey, what if the I put the Futuristic Four in the Lazy Days context? So, here they are. Note that I'm probably not gonna much else with these guys (besides Wilbur because he's part of the OG AU), because it just doesn't interest me. BUT you can, if ya want.

Brief Overviews of Each Wilbur - The bookworm. He's read every book in his family's library at least four times. He gave up gelling his hair back a while ago. Violet - The skater girl. Usually seen eating snacks on the curbside. She's a goth too, so... bonus points! Hiro - The baker. Helps out in his aunt's shop. In case you couldn't tell, his favorite flavor of ice cream is Neapolitan. Glitter addict. Penny - The pop star. Can be a bit of an airhead sometimes, but she's got a heart of gold.

Idea inspired by Anon. Original ask here -> post

The Underworld; a dark and chaotic realm ruled by Xibalba, where the souls of those whom have sinned in their previous lives are sent to spend the rest of eternity.

Follow the lives of six demons as they try to live the rest of their eternal afterlife to the fullest.

Hiro and his brother, Tadashi, were researchers in a lab that mysteriously caught fire. Hiro had made a deal with Xibalba, to spare his brother's life, even if the deal condemned his own soul.

Afterwards, Hiro was reincarnated as a demon in Hell. At first, he worked as a Bot Fighter for Yama in the Greed Ring, until Hiro decided to start an assassination business, to investigate those whose deaths were unnatural and unsolved.

VIOLET PARR

Age: 18

Alias: Dark Wings

Species: Harpy Demon

Cause of Death: Bullet to the Heart

Violet was a young super who was declared an enemy after she deflected a bullet with her shields and accidentally struck an innocent bystander. Shunned by her family, Violet lived a life on the run from the NSA, until she was finally cornered.

Reincarnated in the Wrath Ring as a Harpy Demon, Violets’ power grew with her rage, as she continued her path as a Vigilante of Justice. Vowing to never be hurt again, and to work alone.

WILBUR ROBINSON

Age: 17

Alias: Surge

Species: Electricity Demon

Cause of Death: Electrical Surge

Wilbur always knew he could never live up to his fathers golden legacy, which led him to reckless actions with dire consequences. This created a rift between him and his Dad, that could’ve been repaired in time… but it was too late.

In the Greed Ring, Wilbur was captured and used as a living battery for an underworld casino, and spent decades being drained of his powers towards the brink of death. Until he was saved by a vigilante known as ‘Dark Wings.’

PENNY FORRESTER

Age: 17

Alias: Renegade

Species: Camera Demon

Cause of Death: Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

In her previous life, Penny was a popular actress, featured in many movies and gossip magazines. But beyond the spotlight, Penny was cracking under the pressure of her stardom and demanding agent. Until the day she took her own life.

Reincarnated as a demon with a camera lens for her right eye, Penny became a freelance photographer, to expose people's true colors. As well as making her first friend; her protective and loyal hellhound; Bolt.

RILEY ANDERSEN

Age: 17

Alias: Little Miss Sunshine

Species: Clown Demon

Cause of Death: Struck By A Car

Her parents would describe Riley as a ‘happy girl’ but everything changed after they moved. Riley became cynical, a shadow of her former self. And then one day, everything hit the fan.

Reborn in the seven rings, Riley became a special clown performer, with the help of her impish friends; Anger, Fear, Disgust, Sadness, and Joy.

MIGUEL RIVERA

Age: 18

Alias: De La Cruzcito

Species: Skeleton Demon

Cause of Death: Smoke Inhalation

Kicked out by his family at 15, Miguel tried to make his dream of becoming a musician true, but living on his own, Miguel had to take on certain jobs to survive. After a long day, Miguel fell into a deep sleep, not realizing a room nearby had caught fire. He woke up dead.

In his afterlife, Miguel got the opportunity of working with famous musician; Ernesto De La Cruz, who took the young boy on as his protégé. And as long as Miguel does everything Ernesto ask, he can live out his dream. And never have to return to his former life again. It’s worth it, right?

(Thinking about making a separate post for each characters to further explain their lives, afterlives and the sins they committed. Even maybe some Fanart for how I picture them.)

I am once again posting about Futuristic Four: this time featuring some info about my "au" and their super suits!

From left to right:

Wilbur- xmen inspired suit, gold/yellow head piece, belt and logo. Head peice is to track "jump likeliness" percentage.

Penny- spy like body suit, visor for vitals and communication. Tazers built into gloves and boots. Logo is bolt logo.

Violet- a purple and black version of her original suit, inspo from elastigirl original outfit. Logo is a burst force field.

Hiro- only the helmet changed, has a vital screen and a percentage for Wilbur's "jumping" issue (explained below)

Ok so first off, info on why they need suits and how they "met". In the au, they all live in the future (I couldn't come up with how Violet got dragged into this mess). Hiro stays in San Fransokyo, Wilbur and Penny are in today land and Violet is in the next city over, Metroville. Metroville is right near old town and the people in that city live like it's the 60's.

Anyways, I'll explain all of this at some point but right now, here's the gist: Penny, Hiro and Violet (and their teams) all separately are trying to stop Dr. Calico from getting his hands on a Time Machine. All the teams where asked by Cornielius Robinson because Wilbur is being held for ransom.

They plan to give Calico a Time Machine but rig it to blow up and send itself back in time so they can go back and get it later. Once he figures this out a brawl happens. In the middle of it all is Penny, Wilbur, Hiro and Violet who go for the TM but it goes off early and Wilbur (who was in the drivers seat) absorbs most of the main blast before they get sent to 2012.

Now they're stuck there until they can fix the Time Machine and go home. They stay with Franny's (wilburs mom) family. The blast from the Time Machine does give Wilbur and Penny powers but it takes awhile for them to realize it. Cuz they were the closest to the initial blast.

Wilbur gains time jumping powers and Chronokinesis (he can manipulate time to an extent. Ex: he can make everyone around him slow or himself super fast. But he can't stop time.) but he cannot control his time jumping, when he tries (or worse, holds back a jump) it usually leads to pain (migraines and feeling like he took a hammer to the chest). Luckily that power has a timer. Every couple of days (maybe hours) he' ll uncontrollably time jump between 2012 and whatever time after or before that.

Penny gained the power to speak to animals and to an extent control them. Over using this power does lead to a bunch of peoples pets flocking the house and getting chased by dogs. He gets a hold of it soon tho.

Relationships will be explained later this week lol, for now gn 😎
