Here's some very indulgent post-war MegaImpact.
PWP, just some needy bottom Megs, strength kink with a sprinkle of yearning.

Purples
There’s nothing worth seeing here. A miner’s lights were low-powered, only illuminating as much as was necessary to dig the right surface. So deep inside the planet there was no point in wasting energy to light the place up. Many miners invested in infrared vision anyways.
Still Impactor wanted a bright paintjob. No one would see it where he spent most of his time. But he still wanted it. And what he wants, he gets. ---
When Megatron learned that Impactor chose his paintjob himself, it finally made sense to him. Of course no miner was built with such tacky colors. The little thing puzzling him was finally resolved. He even teased the other miner about it, but overall he was awed. He hadn’t thought of such self-expression. Colors, out of all the modifications a miner could get, Impactor had chosen colors as his go-to.
It was admirable. The deep purple and stark yellows would etch themselves into Megatron’s memory forever, even if he didn’t know it yet.
He could see Impactor well enough in the light of his datapads in their room, and in the bright lights of the surface whenever they went out. Impactor wasn’t an attention-seeker, he gained it naturally. Just by being himself, he had a way of attracting people to himself.
It took a while until Megatron realized that dried energon wasn’t very visible on the purple paint.
---
“Impactor! Where did this come from?” Megatron’s worry was audible. He held Impactor’s arm, hand on a dried splotch of blood.
The purple miner scoffed, looking away, “that one’s weeks old. This I got yesterday,” he pointed to his hip and sure enough, there was slightly lighter stains. This did nothing to ease Megatron’s worry.
“How long have you been getting these without me noticing?” Much to Impactor’s dismay, Megatron wasn’t angry. He was sad. And that was worse.
“Since before we knew each other. C’mon, it’s not a big deal. They’re just cuts and splatters. I’ll be fine.”
“This is not fine. Impactor, please, if you get hurt, let me know.”
He couldn’t say no to the look Megatron gave him.
“Ugh, fine fine. I’ll tell you, but only if you don’t freak out,” he conceded and gave a pout to the gray miner. He got a small smile back.
“Now, let’s go get these off. The washracks are still open,” Megatron pulled Impactor with him, and Impactor had half a mind to resist. Whatever, might as well get cleaned up. It didn’t bother him.
On the contrary, Impactor quite liked getting doted on. Not that he’d admit it.

AU Stuff
Megatron almost succeeded in killing Ariel, Orion Pax’s wife whom he recently married. But Ariel was taken to Alpha Trion who rebuilt her as Elita One and she came back more powerful than ever before. (She could easily take a gamble, stop time and kill Megatron like how Dio killed Kakyoin with The World in Stardust Crusaders/JJBA Part 3.)
Megatron later hired an assassin to kill Xaaron because he had suspicions that his relationship with Impactor was closer than what it appeared on the surface/in public. But that failed because the assassin tried to stab Xaaron (a tank) and you don’t do that because his armor rating is too high. Xaaron is un-stabbable also why would you hurt him?
So according to this logic, would Megatron also want to kill Skyfire...Starscream’s old friend? Or does this jealous murder attempts only count if his lovers met their new partners after they met him? (So Skyfire doesn’t count.) This is something I need to think about.

IDW canon harem dynamics:
MegaImpact -> definitely happened
MegOP -> had the chemistry but probably not
TerMegs -> I guess you could read it like that but why the hell would you.
MegaStar -> if it happened it wasn’t pretty
MegaSound -> there’s something there but it’s probably not romantic
MegaRod -> mad chemistry, not the right vibe
MegaMegs -> chemistry, opportunity, word-of-god subtextual romance even if it’s not explicitly canon

AAS NOVA Evidence for an Ancient Martian Ocean By Susanna Kohler Was Mars once partially covered in ancient seas? A recent study has found new evidence to support the Mars ocean hypothesis. Signs Point to Seas The debate about large bodies of water on Mars has raged for decades. The discovery of the Martian dichotomy — a ~30 km difference in height between the lower, smooth northern hemisphere and higher, heavily cratered southern hemisphere — was an early indication that the northern hemisphere may once have been underwater. Long, unbroken features identified as potential ancient shorelines were spotted on Mars as early as the 1970s by the Viking orbiters, further supporting a picture of vast past oceans. And dozens of further clues have piled up: signs of stream channels and river deltas, indications of past rainfall, hints of historical tsunamis from asteroid impacts, atmospheric signatures that point to a past abundant water supply — the list goes on. A Liquid Controversy Yet the Mars ocean hypothesis remains highly controversial. The Martian dichotomy could have been caused by a megaimpact, or by thinning of the northern-hemisphere crust. Observed “stream channels” might instead have been created by wind erosion. And those possible ancient shorelines? They’re not actually level — they vary in elevation by a couple of kilometers along their length, which is not something a sea level should do. On this other hand, the shorelines might have started level and been deformed more recently. Clearly, more evidence is needed in the debate over Martian oceans — and now we’ve got it, in a new study by Abbas Ali Saberi (University of Tehran, Iran; University of Cologne, Germany). Moving the Level Saberi argues that a giant ancient ocean covering part of Mars should have left distinct signatures in the elevation profile of the planet — signatures that we can identify in comparison with Earth’s topography. Saberi combines detailed maps of Mars’s surface altitudes from the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter with statistical modeling called percolation theory to search for these signatures. By modeling an ocean covering Earth’s surface and varying the height of the sea level, Saberi shows that the planet undergoes a “phase transition” at a characteristic sea level when its land masses connect. For Earth, this transition occurs right around our present mean sea level, corresponding to oceans covering 71% of Earth’s surface (as we observe today). When Saberi applies this model to Mars’s topography, a phase transition occurs in the exact same way, showing a distinct change at a sea level of 1,400 meters (measured relative to Mars’s equatorial radius of 3,396.2 km) and indicating that Mars may indeed have had an ancient sea of this height. This elevation also displays the longest contour lines in Mars’s topography, further strengthening the argument that it corresponds to an ancient sea level. So is the question of past oceans on Mars settled? Far from it! But we can expect clues to continue to roll in with upcoming missions to the Red Planet, like the Mars 2020 mission launching later this month.
