I think his engagement (or marriage… I don't know) to Lotor is already established but neither of them likes the other, Merla would take advantage of the fact that Lotor is the new emperor to move and gain more power without anyone knowing, sometimes she would interfere in Voltron's plans, which they would interpret like "jealousy". Because Lotor spends a lot of time with Allura building the ship,

Okay, so last night @t1koy-roll and I ended talking about Jessica Rabbit thanks to @queenscene2 mentioning body types for an OC. Next thing I know, to hit @80sgaytrashgoblin as hard as I could, I ended up taking a screenshot, and redrawing/editing Jessica Rabbit out and putting in Merla. And I have no regrets. I'm pleased with this one.
