Donatello remembers falling asleep. It's a generous word for dying, but that's what it felt like. Closing your eyes and just drifting off, just a feeling of contentment and peace. As peaceful as dying can be. 

It was painless at least. That's a plus if you ask him. The constant heaviness in his bones, the itching at the back of his eyes, telling him to close and never open them again, the constant buzzing in the back of his head. It all just went away the moment he let go. 

For a second he'd felt weightless. Free. He'd felt young again, had imagined himself jumping over rooftops with his brothers and feeling the wind on his skin. The battle shell a comforting weight on his back instead of the crushing burden it has become during the last few weeks of his life. He'd imagined himself jumping and landing, jumping and landing, effortlessly. Had imagined himself looking to the left and seeing Leo, keeping pace, grinning and whole. Looking to the right and seeing Mikey and Raph, happy and laughing. He'd imagined looking forward again and seeing April and Dad and so many others, standing there, waving at him, their silhouettes stark against the sun lowering behind New York's skyline. 

He'd thought "Ah. This must be heaven" 

And then nothing. 

And then too much, all at once. Like a computer going into overdrive, a hard drive rewriting and deleting itself over and over. He feels torn apart, his body rearranging itself constantly, nothing but a mist of energy one second and in the next blink of an eye a solid mess. When he has eyes and he can look down, he sees hands and arms glowing and glitching, but before he can panic or make sense of anything, he is gone again, just shadow and clouds, scattered across what his world has turned into. 

This is nothing like what Raph described. Donnie expected some mystical mumbo jumbo, thanks to their ninpo and their connection to their ancestors. But what he'd expected had been Gram-Gram and Dad, waiting for him with open arms. 

Not whatever the shell this is! 

Figures! Even in death this mystical stuff manages to screw him over. Paint him surprised. NOT! 

Time seems to be meaningless here. It feels like forever and it feels like just a second before something changes in his new world. The light changes, the texture of his surroundings solidifies. His body is as stable as it ever is, glitching and oozing with overflowing ninpo, but here and real. 

There is a figure in the distance and Donatello can't make out who it is but he knows, knows as instinctively as he knows himself, as he knows his brothers. 

The figure comes closer and they collide and Donnie feels himself rip apart AGAIN, but this time it's different. This time it's like coming home, like breathing in after years of holding it all in. 

And then there is nothing and then there is a lot again. Not too much this time, just the right amount. But confusing and dizzying. Donatello is still not quite back yet, still feels alien to himself, but he's as whole as one can probably be after dying. 

There are many new sensations pressing down on him. All of it familiar yet unfamiliar. The ninpo of his brothers, but much too young. The familiar energy of Casey Jones surrounding him, in contrast older and much more burdened than it should be. 

But no time to panic. Assess and analyze Donatello, it's what you do best. There will still be time to freak out once you have figured out what the hell is going on. 

"You know, I think I might need to invent a new scale to rate this rescue experience."

What's going on with Aibo town? Is it true that turtle reported it? Any idea about this? Why would🐢 do it?

OK, normally I would delete the fan war-related questions I got about this because no one needs that toxic BS, especially on New year's, but I'm making an exception here.

I am only going to answer this because I'm alarmed by how credulous some people are being and I feel the need to wake up some minds.

Disclaimer: This response is for everyone who asked, not just you, Anon. Nothing is specifically directed at you.

Background

MTJJ had erected a whole entire little town of structures, booths, vendors, decorations and lighting, etc. outside the venue for the NYE event that they were calling 'iBo Town'. The original plan was (allegedly) that it would be up for two days, but after the first day it was dismantled and removed.

There are all kinds of rumors spreading around about how/why that happened, and it's all just a bunch of fanwar BS.

Primary rumors:

Turtles reported it, so it was removed.

XFX reported it, so it was removed.

Evidence? Pretty thin in both cases, although there are a few people on Weibo who claimed to have reported it, including someone MTJJ are claiming was a turtle, and some XFX as well.

OK, critical thinking 101

Some questions to consider:

When someone says something vicious online, is it always true, or do people often say things just to be hurtful?

How is credit/blame allocated in life? Do the people who try to take credit for something often do so falsely? Do the people who try to assign blame always do so fairly?

If XFX and/or BXG claim they reported the town, does that mean they actually did?

If MTJJ claim that XFX and/or BXG reported the town, does that mean they actually did?

If XFX and/or BXG reported the town and the town came down, does that really mean that one thing led to the other, or are there other possible reasons such a town might need to be dismantled?

Do people - particularly in China - have a tendency to try to save face? What lengths would a fandom go to save face if they had to deal with the embarrassment of having their town taken down earlier than they had planned, at such a high profile event where the world was watching?

How much direct knowledge do we have about the permissions, permits, etc. MTJJ had enabling them to erect the town, and if permission was granted, at what level did that permission happen (i.e. is it possible someone granting permission didn't follow all the proper protocol when doing so, didn't have the authority to make such a call and/or didn't get proper clearance from the higher ups)?

If MTJJ had all the proper permits and had all their legal ducks in a row and had the permission of the relevant authorities to have their town there, how likely would it be that any random hater could just call in and shut it all down?

Is it possible they had permits but for some reason those permits failed to accurately cover both days? Is it possible they had permits covering both days but something personal came up requiring the permit holder to leave early? Is it possible they had permits for the structures but failed to get permission for the electricity they were using? Is it possible businesses in the area complained and demanded removal? Is it possible a grandmother living nearby complained about the noise or the green light keeping her awake? Is it possible someone involved in organizing the town broke some terms of their permit contract? Is it possible those running the town realized a second day would be boring/ill-attended? Is it possible the people running the town were cold and uncomfortable and didn't have adequate access to bathroom facilities? Etc. etc. Possibilities = endless.

Which narrative plays better with the sympathies of the audience, galvanizes fandom team building and saves face better: "MTJJ's town was taken down due to safety/security/permit concerns" (implying they hadn't properly organized things at best, were endangering others at worst) or "MTJJ had permission to build this town and it was revoked by the authorities for some unknown/ambiguous/bureaucratic reason" (implying that they are powerless and impotent as a fandom to win any fight to keep it up) or "MTJJ committed to running the town for two days but changed their minds" (implying they are unreliable and totally fine with letting fans down or going back on their word) or "MTJJ had done all this beautiful fan support and haters reported it to get it taken down!!" (implying they are a bunch of sweet, selfless, supportive good people being horribly wronged by evil people who coincidentally happen to be their sworn enemies)?

How truly consequential is any of this? Will we remember it a week from now without attacks by MTJJ jarring our memories?

I could go on like this for another hour or more. There are dozens and dozens of questions I would ask myself before drawing any conclusions about this stuff.

If you believe everything that fans say - especially about their sworn enemies/rivals - I don't know how to help you, Anons, except to suggest you go through a thorough thought process such as the one above before putting on your hair shirts.

As for why someone would report a fan support initiative... Young Grasshopper... 😅

Fan wars are a Thing. A HUGE thing. There have been fistfights at events, people destroying each other's property, people getting arrested, people shutting down the charitable activities of other fans entirely out of fandom hate. People are capable of hateful, hateful things, and fandom can make people behave in crazy ways. No group is totally innocent or immune.

Ultimately we will never know what happened. Everyone involved - on all sides - has incentive to misrepresent things. Regardless of what really happened, the actions of a few individuals should never characterize a group numbering in the millions. Whether this happened because of the actions (or inaction) of BXG, XFX or MTJJ, the 'blame' lies with those individuals, not with the entire group.

Ember, I tried my very best to find old ask games I reblogged with these emojis, sadly I could not. I found this one for the numbers. I already answered 1 and 32 here. I answer 12 and 52 below and have a few other fun treats for you.

12. How does receiving or not receiving feedback/support help you? Feedback helps me so much. It lets me know that my writing is good and that I’m doing something right. Originally, fanfic was just supposed to be me getting my brain bees™️ out of my head so I could focus. I didn’t expect people to actually enjoy them to such a degree. I mean, I figured someone else who liked TMBS might like them a little, but I did not expect such incredible feedback.

I got a tumblr in September of last year to release my thoughts on TMBS, including my SOS fan theory, but I never intended to write any fic about it, because it was a super specific head canon (and also I'd never even read fanfic before at that point, though I'd heard of the concept), I wasn't sure people would like it, I'd never done any serious creative writing before, and at the time, I had no idea how much season 2 canon would continue to support it's plausibility. But, for better or for worse, eventually I was inspired enough to write the fic. And if you told me in January of this year, before SOS was published, when it was just a little idea in my head that I’d have people drawing fan art based on my fics, doing elaborate analyses call out posts based on my fics (thank you @sophieswundergarten and @itsgoghtime🥰), making a whole personality quiz based on my fic (again thank you Sophie), getting a tumblr to compliment my on my fic and share headcanons, and, the latest of the fandom's beautiful compliments, someone doing a whole podcast episode based on one of my fics (thanks @heyitsthatonesmolgay), I would not have believed you.

This feedback means the world to me, and it's also taught me the importance of leaving feedback on other fics as well. Part of the rational in writing SOS was releasing the thoughts that are inside my head about my hyperfixation, since I'd be thinking about it constantly anyway. Writing it out is certainly more rewarded than daydreaming alone, but it's also more time consuming. Knowing that someone out there is not only listening to what I'm saying, but enjoying it to such a degree lets me know that this is a hobby that's worth the time and energy. Obviously, it's fine to do hobbies only for yourself, I did that for years, but being able to do something you enjoy in such a way that it makes someone else happier and brings joy to someone's life is incredibly rewarding. And if I didn't receive any feedback, I would assume no one was listening. I'd release my ideas into the void to get the brain bees out, and then when the hyperfixation died, I'd just delete them. But now I know that I'm not just talking to the void anymore, I'm talking to a group of people that are invested in the stories I have to share. Feedback on fics lets authors know that they're good at writing, because they might not know it. I certainly never thought so. Sure, I thought my ideas were cool, but has everyone else I've ranted to about mbs irl thought that? Not exactly. So leave feedback on your favorite fics, go crazy about them. Don't burn yourself out, obviously, but trust me, it will not go unappreciated, especially in a smaller fandom.

52. Do you respond to comments why or why not?

I always try to respond with something. They make me so happy; someone took the time out of their day to say they liked my fic, my ideas, and comment or ask questions about them! It’s a great honor, and thank you all for your lovely comments and feedback!

As you may be aware, I am writing a secret fan fic for Curio's secret fic gift exchange. as i am from an outsider country myself (maybe we even live in the same country lol), i was initially SO SCARED to tell people where i'm from. there was always a thought "they'll hate me if they find out who i am". it took me almost two years to realise that people who judge others by their nationality are 1) stupid and limited 2) just the kids who don't understand much about life. so please don't be scared or ashamed of who you are and don't let others tell you otherwise❤️

Hello everyone, yes, I finally did it! I made new free 3D models for the undertale community! Edit: Added a video so people see what's that about =P

This time, featuring Papyrus and Sans with a brand new face! Yay! Making Papyrus was quite the challenge, haha! The goal is to use them on a Free 3D animation website called Mixamo to create infinite boney references!

Here is the full tutorial on how to use them on Mixamo. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you are lost! Since it is suuuuper long, I'll add it under the cut with extra crediting info and the link to the models!

You can use those 3D models anywhere, not only in Mixamo, but I wanted to show people how you can use 3D models in Mixamo to create 2D references.

Don't hesitate to download the full image on google drive to zoom in on it. (I could not upload it in one single image here as it was too long it might be more convenient this way) Using your phone helps too as it’s super easy to zoom on the pics there!

Additional notes: The 3D models have invisible spheres parts on the pelvis and the hands. They are only there because Mixamo doesn't read the models well without them. 

If you plan on using the 3D models for your own 3D project on Maya or Blender, you can just delete those. 

However, if you plan on using 3D clothes with physics on them, you'll need to add more invisible spheres, especially on the chest, because clothes physics and ribs do not mix well AT ALL. I tried >w>

Careful the models don’t have UVs, they are simply painted with Lambert materials if you want custom textures you’ll need to do the UVs. The topology is not too shabby so you should be able to do it easily.

This particular Oasis post was published / went live 00:42 (1st pic below), though it was done by 00:24 (2nd pic below), and it’s such a coincidence according to 🐢 that that’s also the same time he posted DD’s bday greeting years ago (3rd pic)

The new 49 candies is in bits and pieces, there was a YouTube English translation before but that’s been taken down. The only one I know are screenshots of the translations watermarked with OP name and can’t be shared.

There’s been a lot of old and new materials released lat week and I don’t know if one of them is the Confession of a paparazzi. For the 100 points, that’s about their Oasis points which users accumulate based on their activity like when you log in, likes, comments, even giving water points etc. While I’m a user of Oasis, all the math just fly through my head so I don’t follow this one.
