(CW: fantasy trancey-language stuff, etc.-- as inspired by your recent post) What if... What if you were watching TV, and you zoned out for a minute. Time passed. It felt nice. You just rested your eyes for a moment. You breathed in. You breathed out. And on the TV, a woman was being hypnotized. Her voice sounded familiar as she droned back the hypnotist's words. She was sleepy, very sleepy. She couldn't keep her eyes open. Her hands were slowly floating up. As she removed each item of clothing, she fell deeper and deeper under the 'tist's power. She was descending a staircase, counting down with each step... Her hair was pretty. You have a dress like that one... the same dress. Time passed. It felt nice. You just rested your eyes for a moment. You breathed in. You breathed out. Now, the woman was kneeling between the hypnotist's legs as their hair was stroked. You could almost make out the face. They looked familiar. This seemed familiar. Have you watched this program before? Never mind, it's so relaxing... Time passed. It felt nice. You just rested your eyes for a moment. You breathed in. You breathed out. You remembered now. Of course... you watched the same video yesterday. Or was it the day before? Have you watched it every day this week? And who is that actress... And, of course, thinking so slowly, you never did quite figure it out, because just as you were about to recognize the woman in the video, you heard a *snap* *snap* behind your chair, and you slumped like a puppet whose strings had been cut. A familar voice, the hypnotist's voice, whispered in your ear "Play time, sleepy drone..."
