Watercolour painting with a pen and ink border of the mosque built by Hakim Ilmud Din, also known as Wazir Khan, in 1634 in Lahore. The painting shows the main gateway into the mosque, which is surrounded by a walled enclosure. The gateway and mosque are decorated with colourful floral patterns and inscriptions on glazed tile mosaics. On the four corners of the enclosure are octagonal minarets, a distinctive feature of the mosque which are also decorated with colourful patterns. Behind the main gateway is the mosque, with an arcaded façade topped with white domes.
