Welcome new followers

Um, hi there, puppykitties! Welcome.

Just a few things you might not immediately realize about me:

WHO I BLOCK

I periodically review everyone who follows me and I block anyone that looks like a bot or a troll. If I'm unsure, I'll message first. It's totally fine by me if you just want to lurk, but if an account has no profile pic, no posts, no likes, or seems like a set-up sock puppet, I remove those followers because I truly am allergic to drama. I also immediately unfollow and block anyone who talks like an anti or bigot. This blog is meant to be a safe, happy place to celebrate Jikook and BTS. It's where I go to escape from stress, not seek it out.

HOW I TEASE

Also, if I write something like "I'm not saying x, y, z, but I'm also not NOT saying x, y, z" that is just light-hearted sarcastic humor. In the screenwriting world, it's called "hanging a lantern on it." Please know I'm not being serious. I'm also half-joking if I say something but use the strikethrough. So if you're just meeting me for the first time, please know I'm only gently teasing when I do this kind of thing in my posts. I absolutely will not ever disrespect or drag a member or fellow ARMY in earnest. I don't even really like criticizing anyone out on the main timeline--I feel it's more respectful to have a conversation in the DMs, so things can be discussed calmly and with dignity.

WHAT I POST

Finally, I'm so random, y'all. I can't help it; like, 99% of the time I post about BTS (mostly Jimin) but sometimes I might randomly post something about TV shows or books or a cute animal video or a funny political meme. I've had this blog for like 15 years or something. I'm a Dope Old Person and so there's just all kinds of stuff on here. I never thought I'd have "followers" and as an introvert it sometimes gives me anxiety because I never want to let anyone down so, sorry if there's no real tagging system or the posts seem totally incongruous. *shrug* I'm a hot mess sometimes. Hopefully you have a good time here anyway.

In any case, you are welcome here. Thank you for working hard for our boys! I appreciate when you share your perspectives and fun fan stuff in a respectful way. I'm really glad to be ARMY alongside you.

About the Players:

Pokémon Violet is being played by one-half of a dynamic duo (Taz/Trina of tazsaintsart) while Pokémon Sword is being played by the other half (Hope, aka gleaming_hope). Since our respective games are new to us, and we wanted to share our thoughts and quips and feelings on these games through the eyes of our youngest characters, Alex and Max. Additionally, we have the support of our friends Dia (@diamondphantom) and Alyss (@calicowitchling) who are assisting Taz with filling in character tones on story posts~!

FAQ:

Q: Is there a set posting schedule? A: Hell no. Making a schedule and deadlines is the quickest way to destroy my motivation to draw. The pressure turns into anxiety which turns into guilt which turns into shame and then nobody gets anything fun anymore.

Q: Sword's old! Why would you include it? A: Because it's new to Hope (OP's husbando) and he has his own quirky sense of humour worth sharing too. Besides, it means more story posts for you and I feel it's a great counterbalance to the story of Violet.

Q: Will you include the DLC? A: Eventually! Gotta' finish the main story first!

Q: Is it just me, or is the scaling/heights between characters a bit wonky? A: It's not you! The in-game player charas skewed my perception so it took me a while to figure out character heights that I could use consistently, so Alex might seem shorter than he should be in earlier posts, while Max was a bit bigger than he was meant to be.

Q: What's this 'Lato' thing I keep seeing mentioned? A: Lato is a fan region based on Poland, created by this blog's art assistant @diamondphantom~ In Alex's canon/backstory, he had a particularly lengthy school trip through the region four years prior to Paldea. It doesn't really affect the current story beyond showing that Alex has had a significant mood shift in the four years since the school trip.

Q: Will you draw '_____'? A: Maybe, maybe not! Aside from a set motivation for the boys, posts will just be whatever we feel like sharing.

Q: Can I suggest ideas, or submit my own work to this blog? A: The Ask and Submissions boxes are open for this very reason! If you would like to share a moment where our paths cross, you're very welcome to! I hc Hsiao Mei to like to wear very girly clothes, soft, pastel, frills, CUTE. Taiwan is heavily influenced by Japan (cuz history) and now has quite good relationship with Japan, so I think her fashion would lean towards Japanese fashion! (My pov of Taiwanese is that they like cute stuff so yup! Cute fashion, but she can still kick ass lol)

Vicente is an old man (mature would be the better word), and he definitely acts like one. He's a businessman from the core, so even if he's not working, his style would still be leaning towards the formal side. His style is clean, chic and simple. Smart casual when he’s not wearing suits. He's always ready to do business or check on his casinos lol. He smells rich, but he keeps it subtle.

Believe it or not, I actually had the hardest time deciding his fashion, because I think (as like most of the fandom) he'd look good in anything, so he wears whatever is on trend and pull them off effortlessly.

We all know that Leon is a fashionable guy, he’s always ahead of the trend and I think based on his personality, he would like to try new styles all the time. I would think his fashion is towards street fashion, but really anything, his clothes would just have to shout SWAG lol. I think he would experiment a lot, jumping between eastern and western fashion. One thing we know for sure is that HIS CLOTHES ARE EXPENSIVE.

(my one hc of him is that he changes his wardrobe really quickly, cuz he has to be on trend all the time lol)

She-Ra tumblr au

I made this with @maycombhoney at some point and was thinking about it earlier today.

Adora: Has a popular sideblog named She-Ra about her boxing and fighting abilities but very few people follow her main account. Her sideblog is simple, with a lot of self defense tips and stuff, and sometimes people see reblogs of stuff that are supposed to go to her main account show up. They’re pretty boring, so they usually don’t check out the main account

Glimmer: Lots of sparkly moodboards and stuff with a really pretty aesthetic, and that’s all you see when you follow, but once you’re following, your dash starts having a bunch of vent posts about her mom and there’s a lot of discourse. Glimmer gets mad at posts easily. There’s also a lot of anon hate to her. It’s kinda depressing. If she ever posts art, she often has to take it down because no matter how often she says not to, people repost it, and she can’t let her mom connect the dots.

Bow: He talks a lot about bows. Shows off a lot of his arrow creations and how-to's on making them at home. They’re too complicated to actually work though. Most of his followers find him through Adora’s side blog She-Ra, where he’s often tagged. It’s usually because she posts selfies of their adventures and he’s in them. Glimmer is too, but she’s well known on her own.

Double Trouble: Their username is from some small fandom no one has ever heard of, their profile pic is from some abandoned cartoon from a year ago, their header is a gif scene from at least three different shows that were shot in the same place, and their line underneath is a quote from an old musical from the 90′s. The blog is about none of those and has a bunch of posts from a show no one can find. They often get asks about what show it is, to which they give a name, and when they’re asked for a link, it never seems to work. People have given up. At some point, someone noticed that you can actually figure out what’s going on in the show if you look at the gif sets and put them together in order of episode (which is labeled at the bottom). See the thing is, Double Trouble is using the mystery and confusion of this blog to advertise the show they wrote, directed and acted out. No one knows how it’s possible, but the people who know what happened are both under oath to not tell anyone and also extremely confused as to how Double Trouble managed it. Including me. I don’t know how it was managed, but I do have a theory that I’m about to send to @sheblah. This does mean that she’s required to post my thing the moment she sees it. Edit: She didn’t so I have to take matters into my own hands. Here’s the post I made with it

Catra: Catra’s posts have been a lot of discourse posts, with her being wrong. You can see in the tags that she knows exactly what she’s doing and that she’s making the wrong posts to be a jerk. She and Adora used to be mutuals (no one knows how, there’s no way their blogs should have ever crossed) but Adora saw one of her discourse posts and blocked her for around a month. After that, Catra stopped trying to reconnect. Now! Catra is less of a jerk on her tumblr and posts a bunch of cute photos of her therapy animal, Melog (no one knows what species Melog is but whatever-) and reblogs a lot of stuff about therapy and anger management. One day she put up a post about how she was getting therapy, and people spammed her with congratulations. She told them that she was crying and thanked them all deeply. Sometimes people still bring up how horrible she was and she has to put out a post saying how she recognizes this and she apologizes for everything she did. She nearly never answers the hate asks. She’s getting better.

Perfuma: She has a cottagecore aesthetic account, it’s really pretty. She once made a cactus hating post and it blew up. She gets anons making fun of her for it to this day. Very annoying. Most people follow her for the discourse she participates in. It can be quiet for weeks, months even, and then she’ll find some idiot saying something dumb and will fight for, days sometimes, to set them right. It used to be Catra that she would fight with a lot. They ended up becoming enemy mutuals, following each other in order to mess up the other’s discourse post. This also meant that Perfuma was the first to see and cause change in Catra’s way of thinking and actions. Perfuma always reminds herself of the fact that she helped someone change for the better once. She’s proud.

Frosta: Is not legally allowed to be on tumblr. It’s a problem. But at the same time she just? Doesn’t seem to follow anyone at all? Sometimes people will send asks about a post that went viral, and she never seems to know anything about it. She hasn’t been affected by tumblr at all, and seems to post something, answer questions, and then log off to make her next thing. It’s... kind of strange, actually. Everyone knows she’s underage, but has no proof, so they can’t tell her to get off tumblr or anything. And if anyone asks how old she is, she gives a random number (A few favorites are “69,” “420,” “I stopped counting after the first hundred years,” “It’s a bit of a pardox actually, because in total I’m around 80, but I’ll be born in three years so... I’m -3 apparently,” “Old enough to beat you in a drinking contest,” “I’m a god, and have no beginning nor end,” and the best of them all, a video of someone being thrown into the air by a pillar of ice with the caption, “Begone thot.”) Frosta picks and chooses her battles when it comes to answering asks. No hate is ever seen on her blog and no one is sure whether it’s because she never gets it, or because she never answers it. She doesn’t get it.

Entrapta: A lot of cool videos and vlogs and experiments. After about three months of being on tumblr, someone said they had an experiment she might like, and asked if they could send an ask about it and have her try it out. After that, she made it her pinned post to say, “Taking experiment requests! Have something you want me to try out?” She’s always tinkering now, and she loves it! Someone once asked her to explain one of her videos more simply, and she did! But it was too simple, and the person who asked thought she was making fun of them. A helpful follower of Entrapta’s made a better explanation in a reblog and was seen as better, so Entrapta now lets her followers explain how they see is best! She’ll reblog it onto the main account so everyone can see. If they need help, she can always take back the reigns!

Mermista: No one is quite sure what her blog is about. There’s a lot of posts about this really obscure murder mystery book series. The ones made by the blog itself are videos of arson and mild theft. The videos are horrible quality, and no one knows what’s going on until at the very end of this three minute long vid, the camera stills, zooms in, and shows a boat on fire. It’s not on the news. Sometimes you’ll see a reblogged post that seems eerily relevant to the posts before and after. The mood the entire way through is basically just this meme

She once made a uquiz that told you what crime you committed. It is... scarily accurate. The questions had nothing to do with the answer at all. You are horrified. There was once an audio that was basically just running for three minutes with sirens in the background (the post has gone viral and people are beginning to wonder if the sirens are actually mermaid type sirens. It’s becoming more and more likely every time it’s addressed). The audio was a voice reveal. It was one word, and it just made everyone who heard it pause for a moment and sit in complete confusion and mild fear before scrolling further, because they live in the lie that perhaps if they go further, they’ll understand what’s going on. It was just, “Fire,” in the most astonished voice, and then the crackling of a flame. The blog never seems to end. After hours of scrolling, you finally reach the end, and there is and never has been context for a single thing the blog has done. You are slowly filled with dread and anticipation for the next post as you hit the follow button.

Gossip Girl 2.0

So. . . I was unsure of whether I was going to talk about this or not but… in the end, here we are!

I shall be talking about the Gossip Girl Reboot.

Now quick disclaimer and mild *excuse you* to HBO, please find ways to make your content accessible to Europe because there are those of us that are interested and unfortunately your "Max" service is US only and honestly i see no reasonable logic behind it. Therefore my means of getting access to this content shall not be discussed.

Extra disclaimer, there will be spoilers. Doi.

Now I am a big die hard fan of the original GG series and despite the outdated (to today’s standards) comparisons and slang, some of the topics hold up even today. For anyone curious or questioning my opinion, based on my generation, I am mildly in the middle as a Zelenial at 23. I did not grow up with GG, I learned about it when I was 14 but watched it for the first time when I was 19. Since, I have watched it up to 14-17 times; more than 10 for sure. So you can do with that as you please. The main reason I mention this is due to some articles and comments pointing out that maybe it’s a “Gen Z only media” or that “Millennials are just bitter cause it’s not theirs”. Keeping that in mind I will be as per usual showing the ups and downs of the show (so far and later on) from my own personal perspective.

After watching ep 1. (& now 2 which will be in a separate post after this) I have a few questions, comments AND concerns. So let’s get into those shall we :)

So let's do a little round up of our characters.

We have newcomer Zoya Lott that is moving to NYC on a Constance scholarship! But little did anyone in the show know, it was all a plot to get to be with her *half sister*. WHAT?! So the tldl on that is that Zoya and our other main character, Julien Calloway, share a mom! Mom, that i quote "left Julien's dad for Zoya's dad and the dads hate each other" because of which hate, they had absolutely forbidden their daughters from communicating. One thing led to another, a friend request was sent and this is basically the parent trap. . . . but for the kids. . .and they're aware of it cause they made it. . . I suppose? The parents haven't really been mentioned to matter in their plan, however, they do keep bringing up their middle names as "Zoya Jane and Julien Elizabeth" as clues left by their mother? Now some rumours around the web have connected the names to the Pride and Prejudice novels and while that would be extremely Gossip Girl-esque to do, and I am entirely up for that, hell yea!!! I'm wondering if it's as simple as... their mother's name was Elizabeth Jane... but maybe GG will be the one to discover that secret first? Other than that, Zoya is very much a very trusting "innocent type" character that probably has more past than we know about so it will be quite interesting to see how that elaborates going further into the series.

Then there is self-made influencer Julien Calloway. She is the new version of queen at Constance but as stated, they "don't do the patriarchy anymore". While she appears all smiles and kindness, personally i feel as if JC is kind of fake? She has things she cares about yes, but the moment someone or something interferes with her followers and her social standing or Obie (more on him later)

When it comes to Julien I am honestly more curious to see who she is once you take away the followers and the media. Will she be an actual person or just a shallow obsessed spoiled brat? I just hope it won't be the typical story of "have to be perfect and have to have everyone like me because my mom left" ie. has mommy issues. That is how that cliche goes after all. So I am greatly hoping that's not going to be it for this one.

Obie Bergmann! We get introduced to Obie as Julien's boyfriend. Throughout ep 1, the things we learn about Obie are that he is basically the richest in the group, and lives in Dumbo. (irony from original GG for anyone that can guess it). He appears like a super nice and kind dude, a supportive boyfriend, kind of bland and tired of the relationship but the main thing that bothers me about him so far is his impossible to ignore "white guilt syndrome". For anyone unaware, "white guilt" is "remorse or shame felt by a white person with respect to racial inequality and injustice". While it's not a bad thing trying to make up for the in-equality in the world, here's hoping that's not his entire character cus that would get old quick.

Then we have the bestie, Audrey Hope. Audrey. . . is cold but to the point. Very analysing and observing. Definitely the type of character that would take all the info first and decide what to do after. I both like and am confused by her? Her cold mannerisms are quite enjoyable among the masses of drama and emotion I won't lie. However, i do predict a juicy threesome between her, boyfriend Aki and one Max Wolfe. Honestly, I am highly interested in how their relationship evolves.

Aki Menzies is kind of a mystery as of the moment. As to be expected with just 1 episode, we won't know too much about all the characters. He is the very supportive boyfriend that tries to keep the peace between everyone.

Max Wolfe on the other hand appears like the much more flamboyant version of Chuck Bass, if Chuck Bass had a supportive family environment and no limits on who he's dating. That's more or less for him but kuddos for his 0 hesitation to basically have a pic of his dick sent to everyone. I will never not find that hilarious. But again, between these three is my prediction for some juicy interactions. Cause to be fully honest, the chemistry is undeniable.

Monet de Haan. Ah. She is honestly the savage that we need around here. She is the control and the power behind Julien's brand honestly. I am curious how come she helps Julien with her brand rather than have her own? If we go off anything said in the episode, she is more feared than adored so maybe that's why? But Monet honey, fear can also have a following, just . . a different one.

And then there's Luna La, "The stylist" while we don't know much about her, some of her one liners are actively giving me life. Her and Monet are definitely a package deal and i wonder if there is juicier gossip there that we don't know yet.

Lastly, we have our new Gossip Girl. Young teacher, Kate Keller. I won't lie, i did not see us knowing who GG is from the get go. I am however wondering whether this will drag her down to the level of highschoolers (besides the fact that she looks younger than some of them xD) Something that is bothering me in the reboot however, is that technically, characters that represent adults, spying on minors??? Like they even make the point that "i shouldn't have these, i should be in jail" in regards to having almost naked pictures of the kids. Like it's not really okay??? In the original yea no one knew who GG was but they always knew it was someone their age. The teachers didn't care at those times. But they do now and I am not fully sure how okay it is.

And of course, the extras like some of the other teachers behind GG and the parents. We however, don't know too much about them as of now so we shall see soon. If any new characters are introduced they will be addressed but for now, onto the episode!

The half sisters plot is definitely interesting so I would love to know where the whole middle names thing will go. The story line I'm most interested in at the moment however is between Audrey, Max and Aki. I want to see that unwind into something horrendous but then beautiful! It has so much potential in my opinion. In terms of character development however i want to see who Julien is without all of her fame and followers. When the focus is not the media and the attention. I want to see that Julien.

The first episode definitely introduced us to a lot of things at once so far that is my take on them. I'm sure that in the future both the teachers and parents will be a bigger part but one thing is abundantly clear. Unlike the OGGG, there won't be more than maybe 2-3 seasons depending on the ages of the students. The teachers won't follow them onto college will they? Or will things drastically change along the way? It was rather amusing seeing them talk about all the old characters however, and reference the OG Gossip Girl. I am vaguely offended that they categorised twitter as "a glorified chatroom for memes for people over 30". Like dude. . . that hit me hard. I am happy that FB was never even mentioned as existing tho! Cause let's be honest that is not the "hip" thing anymore. But the rules they put down at the party definitely made my head spin. Had to listen to them twice to even get what was happening.

6. How has the pandemic been treating you? The Bad: I’ve been in pre-reg purgatory & therefore unable to fully immerse myself in my creative projects. The Good: It’s helped me take some time for myself and get back on the creative train, after a 5 year dry spell. Doing embroidery, drawing, and writing has brought that spice into my life - and Kloktober (once again, big ol’ shoutout to @lampmeeting for organising it), was that key push for me to see that yeah. I’m back, baby. I’ve loved getting back into creating & interacting with MTL fans posts, you guys are seriously amazing, I’ve met so many great people on here (heck, even the lovely starry mask in that pic was kindly gifted to me by @coldethyl75 ! :D)

8. Recommend a movie: I know it’s a fluffy family film made for kids but, Disney’s Tangled is one of my all-time favourite movies. Just a perfectly paced and structured story.

10. School, university, occupation? I graduated with a Masters of Pharmacy 3 years ago, but that degree doesn’t mean jack until I take one last qualification exam that needs to be passed at an A. So, still currently a pre-reg until then.

11. Do you prefer heat or cold? Can we get somewhere in the middle? :3 Although, the cold makes for great n’ cozy writing moments.

12. Name one fact others may not know about you? I’m Persian (with Christian ancestors), born in Cyprus, and moved to the UK when I was 2. I was fluent in both Farsi and Turkish, but forgot everything I knew about Turkish when I learnt English.

13. Are you shy? Depends what situation I’m in. When I’m hanging out with friends/ know my stuff academically, I’m pretty chill/ spunky. But when I don’t know my stuff (during ‘bad days’ at work/ talking with people (e.g. ‘higher-ups’) who I can’t mess up with), I get out of character and nervous and, yeah, shy.

Biggest pet peeves: People/governments forcing their ideals onto others (telling you what you can/can’t wear, for example), people taking out their bad feelings on those who they see as weaker targets, and noisy neighbours (my old neighbour would host house parties every day from 9-5am. The Deredere - friendly & kind to everyone and makes sure their love interest knows it.

The Kuudere - quiet, cold and cynical. Rarely shows a caring side, even to their love interest. They don’t really care what happens to everyone else including their love interest on the outside, but care on the inside.

Is there something people need to know about you before becoming friends?

Sometimes, I zone out. Sometimes I just don’t come online. A lot of socialization has recently started to exhaust me and when I come on and see a ton of fighting and drama on the dash, I’m liable to yeet myself away. I take constant breaks from social media, but... If you’re my friend, I will definitely try my best to talk to you when I’m online. I try not to annoy people, but I feel like I constantly do, so if I ever just stop talking and you see me posting on the dash, I’m probably just giving you space because I feel like I’ve been annoying or something. Munday post

I figured maybe this week I’d do a different type of Munday. Most of my long time roleplay partners already know me quite a bit and I also try to introduce myself to newer partners as well, however I figured this could be a good chance for everyone to really get to know me. I’m including everything under a read more not because long post and also because I know not everyone likes seeing this type of thing. It’s just a bunch of random facts about me and my favorite things along with a munday pic under the cut. I didn’t want to just throw out a munday picture like most would do. I’ve done that plenty of times before and there’s nothing wrong with it, I just felt like doing something a bit more unique and different this time that might really give people a chance to get to know me :D

So long post under the cut.

So, first off, my name is Derek. I’m the mun. I just recently turned 30 and I’m from Indiana. I work in a preschool, essentially as a glorified baby sitter. I help the teachers get their breaks.

I’ve been interacting on here since November of 2013 and I’ve had this exact blog with this exact URL the entire time. I wanted something really generic and not just a quote or something like that. I first tried TheEleventhDoctor, but obviously that was taken so this ended up being what I went with. As for the theme, it too was made a VERY long time ago. The TARDIS theme with the opening doors on the TARDIS actually used to be quite popular when I first started interacting on here, particularly with the Doctor Who RP fandom. Although I’m the only one I see with it these days, if you go looking for older Doctor Who blogs that have gone inactive you are actually likely to find a few other blogs with it. As for the background picture, I found that one myself except for the part with Matt Smith/The Eleventh Doctor edited on. That part was done by someone I used to interact with who just surprised me with it one day and unfortunately isn’t on Tumblr anymore :( Having been on this platform for so long I’ve obviously seen a lot of blogs come and go and I miss every single last one of them :( However I also enjoy everyone I currently interact with and would recommend almost any of them. Seriously, if anyone is looking for new people to interact with, let me know you are looking for people and what fandoms you enjoy and I can probably recommend a few blogs!

Outside of Tumblr RP, I enjoy video games, yugioh, reading comics, general super hero related stuff, watching movies, playing Pokemon Go (I help run the local PoGo community) general board games, watching my shows, figure collecting, and cosplay, most of which I’m sure is stuff many of you also enjoy. My fandoms include Doctor Who (obviously), DC, Star Wars, The Legend of Korra/ATLA (I’m one of the few that likes LoK more than ATLA), Marvel, Star Trek, Firefly, Power Rangers, The Walking Dead, Yugioh, Pokemon, Sherlock, general Nintendo fandom, Digimon and Harry Potter.

Here’s a few things about me in list form.

My favorite musician is Weird Al Yankovic.

My favorite book is Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robbison. As someone who’s been diagnosed with aspergers syndrome myself, this book really spoke to me in my original read through and since then I’ve purchased it multiple times. I own at least three or four different copies of this book, partially because I kept loaning it out to people.

My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series. Don’t ask me for a favorite book in the series, I love them all about equally.

As for comics, right now my favorite thing I’m reading is the Power Rangers series that Boom is putting out. Some of my favorites of all time include Power Ranger Soul of the Dragon, the Star Trek TNG/Doctor Who crossover, the Power Rangers/Justice League Crossover, the original Spider-Gwen series, Poison Ivy Cycle of Life and Death, The Dark Knight Returns (I know anything Frank Miller related is a bit controversial but I enjoy it for what it is) and Batman: Hush.

Favorite movies include UHF, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Captain America the First Avenger, Avengers End Game, the Justice League movie, anything and everything DC animated, anything and everything Spider-Man related (yes, I even like Spider-Man 3 although it wasn’t as good as the others), anything Star Wars related although I’d say Force Awakens is my favorite one, the 2017 Power Rangers movie, Serenity, The Lego movie and it’s sequel, Yugioh Bonds Beyond Time, Mystery Men, Galaxy Quest, all the Star Trek movies, the corny 90′s Mario movie, the Doctor Who movie, and Detective Pikachu. Really, any of the Marvel and DC movies could probably make this list as well, I’m not super picky when it comes to movies.

Favorite TV shows is something I am a bit pickier about. Doctor Who is obviously on the list, and I’ve watched and enjoyed most of the Marvel and DC live action stuff although I have a huge preference for the arrowverse and 70′s Wonder Woman. Animated stuff tends to vary but a lot of the older stuff from the early and mid 90′s seems to be best for that. Power Rangers is obviously on the list as well, along with The Walking Dead, Digimon, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Sherlock, Yugioh, Firefly, and off the top of my head that’s about it. Everyone always assumes I’m huge into anime as well, but I’m not actually that into it. Just not my thing.

Now video games has potential to be my longest list as it’s easily my favorite medium of story telling due to the interactivity. First off, Nintendo and Playstation are my general consoles of choice. Nothing against Xbox, I have a lot of respect for the brand but I can’t really afford to have three consoles (even though I wish I could) and Nintendo and Sony have more offerings for me personally. I also do dabble on PC a bit, but I don’t really have a high end PC and it’s mostly just for Sims. That being said, my favorite games and game series include Watch_Dogs, The Sims, Mario (mostly the “main series,” 3D games and 2D platformers but I do enjoy some of the off series stuff like Mario Kart and Mario Party as well) , Pokemon, Super Smash Brothers, The Force Unleashed series, Injustice, most of the Spider-Man games, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, most of the Batman games, Wario Ware, The Last of Us (still haven’t played the sequel yet. Waiting to get it for cheap after seeing reviews), Days Gone, Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, No Man’s Sky, 51 Worldwide Classics for Switch, No Man’s Sky, the Tony Hawk Games (still haven’t played the new one yet), Time Splitters, The Movies, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Zombies Ate My Neighbhors, Kirby, The Legend of Korra game (the 3d one, not the really bad one for 3DS), Donkey Kong, Street Fighter 2, Punch Out, Metal Gear Solid 5 the Phantom Pain, Sonic Heroes, and the list could go on and on.

My favorite drink is root beer or chocolate milkshakes if that counts

My favorite alcoholic drink is probably just a basic screwdriver tbh

My favorite food is Cheeseburgers, although Chicken Pot Pie is also a top contender tbh

My favorite color is green

My favorite Doctor is Eleventh obviously, but Thirteen, Two and Twelve are tied for second

Favorite companions are Amy, River (if she counts), and Donna

Favorite New Who episode is The Eleventh Hour

Favorite Classic Who story is Genesis of the Daleks

Since I’ve mentioned super heroes a lot, my favorites are Batman, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man, although Supergirl, Batgirl, Captain America, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow are also pretty high on the list.

Favorite game in the Pokemon series is X and Y

Dragonite is my favorite Pokemon

Favorite 3D Mario game is Odyssey although Sunshine would be next up on the list.

This is my only Tumblr RP blog. I also have an ask meme blog and I used to have a personal but I haven’t logged onto it in years.

I’m on discord and I do add people from Tumblr on there, but I mostly only use it for Pokemon Go tbh

I spend every Wednesday and Sunday at the local comic book shop playing Yugioh

For anyone wondering in relation to that last fact, my current competitive deck Barrier Stun. Some of my favorite casual decks that I play or have played in the past are Lightsworn, Blue-Eyes, E-Heroes, Greed, Sacred Beasts, Penguins and Six Samurai.

In the last decade I’ve moved about 3 times

I own pets! I have one dog and one cat currently, but a few years back when we lived in a more country like setting, we owned 7 cats and 2 dogs at maximum. Most of them died of old age over the last few years.

Before my current job I used to work at Walmart. Long time followers of the blog may remember that I hated it there.

I don’t have a whole lot of writing experience outside of Tumblr tbh. While I do enjoy writing on here, it’s the interactions itself that makes it fun for me and while I’ve tried to write a few things myself, it’s just not the same as roleplay.

Anyway, I just sort of wanted to do something different for munday besides just posting pictures of myself so I hope anyone who read this enjoyed it. Here’s a pic of the mun to go with it.

In the spirit of those times, let resurrect some old LJ memes! (Think Buzzfeed quizzes but with less data mining (not to say that didn't happen)).

When I looked at my tags page, there were 159 entries tagged ‘meme’ which I guess is because memes were what I used to say when I didn’t know what to say. In the early oughts, I wasn’t new to the internet, but I was new to the interactive version of it presented by LJ and its clones. In order to seem interesting, I did a *lot* of memes.

As I explored back in my journal, I found a lot of memes that are now defunct, but I wish were still functioning. Like the Friends Icons collage, which seemed to be a bit of code that gathered all your friends’ default icons into one picture. And Quizilla seems to be a Teen Nick site now. Other links looked extremely sketchy.

Challenge #12

Here Are Some Choices:

Desktop/Wallpaper screen shot - take a screen shot of the background (desktop for computers or wallpaper for mobile devices) on whatever device you are using. This one was originally just desktops, since it predates tablets and phones becoming so ubiquitous. Post the pic in your journal.

What Kind of Shoe Personality Do You Have? Anyone who knows me knows there’s no way I would pass this one up. I should get my shoe mood theme back on my journal.

Fail Cat - If you have a PC: Open paint, close your eyes, draw a cat. Post the results. If you have a phone or tablet: Open the notes app, close your eyes, draw a cat. Post the results. (I do not know what program you would use if you have a Mac without something else installed like Gimp or Photoshop, Macs do not seem to come with a default drawing program).

First Line - Post the first line of the first entry of each month for the past year in your journal.

The Dewey Decimal System - find out which category in the Dewey Decimal System you are.

Nearest Book - 1. Grab the nearest book; 2. Open the book to page 123; 3. Find the fifth sentence; 4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions; 5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

Spell Your Name - pick a category: movies, books, TV shows, musicians, songs, etc. Spell your name with the first letter of each. Your real name, your username, you choose!

Kleenex Moment - Pick the top five movies that make you cry, and tell us what the Kleenex Moment is (when do you reliably reach for the hankies).

On Sunlit Tides: Reflections

So, I stole this idea from notjustabooksims to do a reflections post when I saw her gen 2 wrap-up post a few months back. This won’t be nearly as in-depth, but I just wanted to write up a lil something, and also talk about my plans for after OST.

This has been, without a doubt, the best and most rewarding experience I’ve had writing a sim story thus far. I’ve had others, and completed (2?) of them, but in the past I’ve found my experience being constantly marred by bad interactions, or feeling pressured to move the stories or characters in directions which I hadn’t planned. OST was the first story that I stayed genuine with through to the end, and had nothing but positive responses from all of you, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. What started as a silly foray into exploring the Island Living EP turned into a 7-month long adventure, and I had so much fun with this story at every point. Even when I took breaks or went off and did other things in the midst of it all, I still kept wanting to come back to it. Now that’s it’s completed, I get so nostalgic over the earlier chapters and just what it was like to be in those moments. I loved building all of the sets for this story, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot from this in terms of workflow that I can hopefully apply to new stories moving forward.

Just for the fun of it, a few statistics from the story for my own records (approximate):

I’m very sad to be retiring the OST world and characters, but I’ll still likely feature the sims sparingly on my main blog. I am, however, happy to be moving on. As much love as I have for this story, the amount of time I’ve dedicated to the project has been absolutely monumental. It consumed large portions of my days and overall mental space and I’m just really looking forward to a break. Which leads me to what happens now that the story is done? Will I be doing more stories? Will this blog go dark?

Well, for now, and for a while, my plan has been to take a good, long hiatus from simblr. Likely I will be pretty quiet here on Simlit for the time being. I have a few meme things and ask tags to catch up on, but once I finish with those I will be jumping back over to my main for further posting. I don’t plan on doing much in the way of sims content for right now. I just want to relax, play my game at leisure, and that likely means I’ll just being doing interiors or sim pics sparsely when I feel the desire. I think I’ll take a couple months before I commit to something this heavy again. In the meantime, I plan on catching up on all of your stories and posts that I’ve let fall to the wayside while I hyper focused on my own project. Hopefully I can be generally more interactive now that my time is freed up.

I’m also planning on doing massive pose dumps; I have tons of stuff in my story folder that I need to get organized and edit up a little bit, and I can post it over on my pose library for those of you who are on the list. Anyone reading this who is a mutual, interactive reader, and is interested in my sims 4 poses (and who are not already on the list obviously), please send me a private message. I’ll probably post some previews and things for you guys to yay or nay, because I’m not sure what all is worth putting up for download and what isn’t. But that’s neither here nor there.

As of right now, I don’t have any plans or desire to continue the OST storyline. I do have a sequel outlined in the event I ever change my mind, and I set up the ending to allow for me to weave it in if I so choose, but that’s for Future Jade to parse out. Current Jade needs to sleep for 86 years and my interest as far as what story I’ll be posting next (because yes! there will be one!), will be an entirely new project. Having this secondary blog has allowed me a lot more freedom to do and post what I want without feeling boxed in, so I think I will definitely do another story once I’m good and rested. I’ve already started outlining and doing a bit of writing on it, but I will try to pace myself with it, because I just won’t have as much time to dedicate to the game overall this year. But! What I can say is that it’s going to be high fantasy and here be dragons.

My final note to close out all this babbling (sorry for the enormous post!) but I just want to absolutely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for reading and following me over these months. I’ve met so many new people through writing this story, gained new amazing friends, and grown closer with old friends. This has been a wonderful experience reading your reactions and replies. Just seeing everyone getting so involved and invested in my crazy characters could make me cry. I feel absolutely blessed to have you lovely people as readers. You are all honestly the best of simblr, and that’s a fact. I’ve never been the type of person to want a lot of notes or followers. I prefer to have a small group of close friends, and I feel like I’ve finally found that here on this platform and it is a liberating feeling. I wouldn’t have had as much fun or as much dedication to finishing this project if it wasn’t for all of your support, and I just hope you can understand even a little bit of my gratitude. So thank you for reading, for putting up with me, for all your wonderful comments and interaction, and I hope to see you the next time around ♥

Witchy Wishlist 2019 🐶

Hello hello! I’m Kiara and I’m a 21 year old eclectic witch from Florida. My main blog is @spoopyfloofin if you want to get to know me better (it’s all memes), but I’m still a bit in the broom closet so I made this account. Onto the list!

1. Information/Resources - Any information on your experience as a witch is helpful. I struggle a lot with intuition, and feeling things, so any tips regarding homing those skills would be great.

2. Readings - Any reading would be greatly appreciated. Tarot, pendulum, past life, energy, aura. Etc. I also have some questions I could use some clarity on with regard to deities.

3. Friendship - I’m more of an introvert, but it’d be nice to have some occasional conversation. (Bonus if you play MLQC or and Voltage games, don’t really have anyone to talk to about those)

4. Art - I love art! Show me what you’re working on, what ideas do you have? What’s a drawing tip that you swear by? Is there a tumblr artist who inspires you? (it’d be really cool to have some art done of me, like a cute profile pic or just art in general, I don’t have any money rn but still send that commission info my way)

5. Donations - Donate to charity! Doesn’t have to be in my name, support your local community, or a national charity. Team Trees still has a way to go, the Game Theorists are currently live (as of 5pm EST, Dec. 2) raising money for St. Jude. If someone is selling charity merch, treat yourself!

6. Talk to me about dreams - Are you a vivid dreamer? Have lucid dreams? I’ve been having some confusing dreams lately, I’d love to get some interpretations or see if anyone has had similar experiences.

7. Postcards and Culture - Tell me about where you’re from. Send me a postcard or a photo you personally took of something interesting there. Are there any local haunted areas? Places with a spiritual history! Where would recommend people go when they travel there that’s off the beaten path?
