born on tatooine to shmi skywalker, anakin spends his early childhood building droids in a mechanic shop, podracing, and caring for his mother until he’s discovered as ‘the chosen one’ by jedi knight qui-gon jinn. ( slavery mention ) anakin goes on to win enough credits as the victor of a major podracing match to free himself to become a jedi under qui-gon’s wing; however, he’s extremely distressed to leave his mother enslaved, in spite of her wishes for anakin to seek a better life. at age 9, he vows to one day return as a jedi and free his mother.

upon qui-gon’s death at the hands of darth maul, obiwan kenobi fulfills his master’s wishes and takes on anakin as his apprentice. anakin’s exceptional skills grew into unwavering sense of confidence under obiwan, as did his attachment to his master — living a life apart from his mother and freshly losing qui-gon, anakin spent his first year as a padawan one step behind obiwan at all times, going as far as sleeping on the floor besides him to ensure his master would never leave.

ten years later, anakin and padme are reunited on coruscant after an assassination attempt was made on the monarch-turned-senator of naboo, prompting the jedi counccil to dispatch anakin and obiwan as her protectors for the time being. it’s on his very first solo mission of safeguarding padme on naboo where anakin begins to chafe against his duties as a jedi and who he is; though he and padme swiftly fall in love, padme refuses him in the name of their career paths. at the same time, anakin is troubled by visions of his mother suffering, which leads the two to back to tatooine where it’s revealed shmi has been abducted and likely dead. when anakin finally finds her in a tusken camp, she dies shortly after their reunion, and his grief and rage causes him to slaughter the entire village. he never reveals this to anyone.

the death of shmi skywalker sows the very first seeds of anakin’s decline — in vowing to become so powerful in the force to prevent his loved ones from dying, anakin begins his path towards the dark side.

the next step in his fall is definitely his secret marriage to padme amidala on naboo in between the events of attack of the clones and the clone wars!

during the early days of the clone wars, anakin serves as a jedi general in the grand army of the republic, commanding the clone troopers of the elite 501st Legion against the confederacy of independent systems. after receiving his knighthood, anakin is given his own padawan, ahsoka tano!!! he’s very resistant to the idea of an apprentice at first, but predictably, he forms another deep attachment to his padawan by the end of the clone wars.

the deteriorating faith in the jedi council and his responsibilities as a jedi knight causes anakin to retreat from all allies into the folds of chancellor palpatine (aka darth sidious). not only does anakin receive orders in direct opposition to jedi code and his loyalty to palpating, he’s tormented by nightmares of losing his loved ones by death and betrayal. it is only when anakin is backed into a corner that such fears become self fulfilling prophecy — the galaxy is plunged into darkness by his delusions of grandeur. to anakin, he sincerely believes he can single-handedly bring about and maintain peace through an iron will. to everyone with eyes and ears, he secures the final victory needed for palpating’s long awaited plan for power and domination.

we next find him on the planet of mufastar, slaughtering the separatist council before meeting with padme and obiwan for the last time.

Does anyone write letters to friends anymore? Like pen pals aren’t a thing anymore are they? Now everyone has internet or something so we just message our friends there and I guess in some ways it’s safer that way cause what if the person you’re messaging is one of those creepy people that pretends to be someone else and then if you send letters back and forth they now have your address. And people are just too scared and don’t like telling where they live which isn’t a bad thing btw.

Idk I have friends all over both in the same country as me and other countries and I just kinda like the thought of writing lil letters back and forth like people used to. Minus tying the letter to the leg of a carrier pigeon 😐 bUT! It is faster online messaging and my hand writing is really bad :( I write too fast and then you can’t read anything. Also I don’t think I have anymore stationary that was never something I did really. But just the idea of having cute paper and using colored pens to write with or getting cute stickers and like sending lil attachments like maybe a picture of a pet or printing a meme off the internet and sending it to a friend I love that idea. Of course sometimes postage is expensive ;-;

BUT ALSO cause like for me I have like clothing that is sitting in my closet that doesn’t fit like I bought online and even tho I picked the biggest size I’m just too big for it, like even if I lost weight I couldn’t get the item over my head or around my shoulders so I was just thinking it would be cute to send to a friend if they like it and write a little letter with it :) it’s kinda fun to think about sending gifts to friends back and forth as long as the mail carriers aren’t assholes 😠

On another note when I was super into Exo back in like 2014 I bought so many Exo things on eBay and I still have the stuff and it might be fun to make a post of it sometime. I bought a mouse pad and a really cool mouse that lights up and changes colors when you plug it in and it’s really pretty but not very practical unfortunately and I have some posters too, some from the Nature Republic shooting and I have some themed rings and necklaces AND MY LUHAN HOODIE STILL FITS! And I have a snapback that I wanted cause I thought I was cool omg I was cringe when I was a sophomore :(

Nowadays I have some bracelets made of that rubber stuff with the group name and member names and other types of bracelets and I have a VAV hoodie and a couple of group t-shirts some I bought from Hot Topic, and I have some posters but I don’t think they’re official but I still like them except my Twice poster is either missing Nayeon or Jeongyeon :( and I have a handful of albums and a lil box with all my photo cards that didn’t come in albums, some my sister gave me cause they came in her orders and she didn’t want them or had double. AND I HAVE A CUTE LIL FAN WITH SUNWOO FROM BOYS REPUBLIC 🥺🥺🥺 I LOVE IT SO SO MUCH I LOVE HIM AND UGH I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM. And I also have the monsta x themed toys the nunugom? I think is Shownu’s (I have the shownu one but I’m not sure if it’s called nunugom or not) I have a medium one and a lil keychain that’s on my bag. But anyway I bought a lot of things just cause they reminded me of Exo members lol.

ANYWAY OFF TRACK BUT IDK I think if you really trust your online friends it might be fun to send cute letters back and forth. YOU COULD EVEN MAKE THEM CUTE BRACELETS LIKE EITHER THOSE LOOM BAND THINGS OR CUTE BEADED BRACELETS OMG. I have made a lot of pretty loom bands bracelets (cringe alert: I made one for each member of Exo except tao and chanyeol cause I didn’t have enough bands of the color I wanted but I was like ‘I’m gonna give these to them at a fansign’ 💀) and I have a couple random beads like the pony beads? And some blocks with letters and flat round ones with letters you know those cute bead sets from the 90’s and 2000’s 🥺 omg that would be so cute I love that idea. BUT I ALSO LOVE THE IDEA OF MAKING FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS WITH YOUR FRIENDS Y’ALL I USED TO THINK FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS WERE CHILDISH 😔 BUT FRIENDSHIPS ARE SO WONDERFUL AND WHOLESOME AND MAKING CUTE THINGS FOR YOUR FRIENDS IS REALLY UNDERRATED AND NEEDS TO BE APPRECIATED MORE!

the giffarine thing reminds me of kai from exo when they would do nature republic ads and they'd basically paint him white, then he got a bobbi brown deal and the difference was crazy. im glad mileapo and getting their bag but i hope they get to rep a more respectful company in the future

The funny part about that is I distinctly remember when a few of Apo's fans on Twitter tried to get a hashtag trending so he could land a deal with Fenty Beauty, and another subsection of that same fandom shut them down. In fact, they were outright against the idea for whatever reason and I'm still not particularly certain as to why they felt that way. I vaguely remember them giving a reason as to why they were against the idea, but I definitely remember that I disagreed with their reasoning. Something about it made him look bad? I don't know, but it was an asinine reasoning. But that was the first time I realized this fandom was full of people who simply don't know how the real world works.

The fact of the matter is that if Apo were to land a deal with a makeup brand like Fenty Beauty, there would be no whitewashing. There would be no lightening of the skin, because there are certain brands that prefer to celebrate the differences in all of us. Not all of us are lighter skinned People of Color. Some of us are fairly tanned/dark skinned. Alas, some people seem to think that it's best to sit back and blend into the wallpaper instead of putting themselves out there to get the attention of movers and shakers. Nothing will ever truly come to you. You have to actually go out and get it, because life doesn't work that way unless you're extremely privileged or lucky. Otherwise, you have to be proactive to achieve your dreams.
