In making this wedding ring, I did not want to block or dampen any Light that may pass through this beautiful faceted #opal (masterfully custom cut by @hashnustones) with a big chunky setting. So instead I requested a thick girdle and used a very open-air prong setting. I am pleased with the result, which includes a fractal lightshow on the finger of the bearer. A chambered Nautilus can form up to 30 chambers during its lifetime. As it grows, it moves forward and creates a wall behind it, with the accumulated empty chambers left behind to be used for buoyancy. This Nautilus on @coty_spires has 26 chambers so far, with the first 5 residing deep within his navel and his memories.
