I found this old CD-ROM from 1997 by pure chance! It just arrived in the mail too, so I haven't had a chance to put it into my CD drive yet, but I am excited!!

This is a CD-ROM specifically for the parents, but judging by the booklet it seems to also have a few bits of extra content on it that is not found on the official software?

Important note: This was not made by the company that made FinFin, but a German company unaffiliated with them. That being said, it has an ISBN number, price tag and everything! You could've bought this easily back in the day!

I plan on fully translating the booklet & whatever is on the disk itself into English and post it all on here. Also, I'll try to get all of the files from the disk and put it up somewhere for everyone to download for free!

Extremely good news for trans folks in Germany:

It's official!! The "Selbstbestimmungsgesetz" - the self-determination law - is approved and will become active at the end of this year!!! :D

That means that starting November 1st, we can now change our gender markers way more easily - without needing to fill out degrading papers and needing to have two psychiatrists assuring that we are trans! All we need to to do now is fill out a form at the registry office and after 3 months of waiting it will be made official in our papers!!!

I don't know how my year will go, but my birthday is on November 4th so… I think I will give myself a big birthday present this year and fill out that form! :]

#PS: This will also make changing my name easier down the line #I might fuck around and also get my last name changed. I have to really think about that one though. #I am getting so much emotional whiplash this week but I am SO HERE FOR IT #newt's ramblings #german stuff

what if in OPLA season 2, Zoro reveals he has also named his fighting moves (because all great fighters name their moves and he's going to be the greatest swordsman!) imagine he yells out “ONI. GIRI!!” for the first time as he slices up an enemy, and the Straw Hats Crew turn to him going “🤨🤨🤨 rice ball???” and he huffs and acts all cool and says “no, it means 'demon slash'” but of course, Nami and Usopp and especially Sanji continue to tease him for the ridiculous pun (after all this is the guy who lightly scoffed at Luffy and Sanji for gum-gum whip and mouton shot so really it's just payback), until Luffy walks up to them and declares, “OH. I LOVE RICE BALLS” with his big, goofy smile. Zoro does the kicky-feet thing he always seems to do when he's flustered and from then on decides to unabashedly name every fighting move he has after rice balls

But what if in the death cure, when Thomas is dragging Newts limp form through the desolate city, in the middle of flurries of flames that light his face in golden hues, he lets out quick panicked breaths, muttering a simple sentence, the grimace on his face matching the exhaustion in his eyes.

insane over the fact that Newt and Hermann drifted together and yet almost nothing changed about their dynamic because they already had an understanding with each other so bone deep that it couldn’t be massively shifted. they’re tangled up in each other from the letters to the kind of bond that can only be formed from the inherent isolation that came with them leagues ahead of everyone else around them their entire lives and then from being the only people who can save the world.
