Three Taps for the Lombardi
Mature // 3.8K // Chapter 1
Eddie Diaz is the 118's new transfer from Houston and he is a bit of mystery. The team knows a few things about the stoic man. He's was a medic in the army with a silver star, he has a son, a dead ex-wife, is gay, and has long term boyfriend named Buck who he moved to L.A. with. Oh, and Eddie is never on shift when there is a home game for the L.A. Rams. Evan Buckley has been traded to the L.A. Rams from the Houston Texans. He has amazing stats, awards, and been named one of America's most eligible bachelors. All he's missing is a super bowl win and a WAG to cheer for him alongside his sister in the stands. Or at least, that's what he's led the world to believe. Almost ten years ago Paramedic Diaz ran onto the Texas Longhorn's field to help college football star Evan Buckley after he was knocked unconscious. Months later, secrets are made so dreams can come true. Can they keep those secrets intact as Eddie takes on the challenges of being a firefighter in L.A. while Buck battles for the Lombardi with a new team?

nobody gets me
Tumblr media
first off can we talk about how hot this pic is??????? anyway, I've literally not stopped listening to SOS by SZA and I had this idea a while ago so its time to give it a go !!
----
The Bengals were in Baltimore for a football game. They had been gone for a few days already. Unfortunately, Joe left for the game on not so great terms with you. Everything had been building up over the last few weeks between his injuries, your family issues, his mental block, and you feeling lonely when he was gone.
It was hard having Joe gone and barely hearing from him. You knew space was good, but you couldn’t help but fear for the worst. As game day rolled around, you made sure to text him encouraging messages, I love yous, and so much more. The most you’d get in response would be a love reaction to a message or a love you back.
Although Joe wasn’t talking to you much, you had reached out to Sam and Ja’marr to see if Joe was acting like he usually does. With them being close with Joe, you figured they’d be able to notice if he was off. They weren’t able to tell you much. Joe didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve like you did.
After a good win against the Ravens, you had hoped Joe would be in a better mood when he got home. All your thoughts had been eating you up inside about how he might act or what he might say when he arrived home.
You took time to occupy yourself in the kitchen until Joe’s arrival home. You decided to clean out the fridge, knowing that task was way overdue. You had lit your favorite Bath and Body Works candle and some other small ones, wanting to avoid turning on the big light. Your speaker was playing SZA’s album SOS. As you continued to empty out the old produce, you heard the garage door open. Your heart sunk a little bit, nerves beginning to engulf your body and mind. Joe was sometimes unpredictable, and this was certainly one of those times.
He walked in through the connecting door from the garage to the kitchen, making sure to shut it loud enough in case you weren’t close by. The fridge door was blocking his view of you.
“Hi, y/n,” he said, causing your attention to leave the fridge and go straight to gauge Joe’s attitude. He didn’t seem as bad as you had expected, but that could always change.
“Hi, Joey. How was your trip?” you asked hesitantly, hoping for a good response.
“It was alright, I just wish you went with us. It would’ve been more fun with you there,” he said as he walked away to go drop off his bag in the bedroom. This puzzled you for many reasons, but mainly because of the lack of communication while he was gone.
You continued your work in the kitchen. It wasn’t in the best state, and it certainly reflected your mental state while Joe was gone. Hearing the shower start, you worked to load the dishwasher and hand wash your special dishes.
Joe came down after his shower in gym shorts and with no shirt on. You didn’t notice his arrival until you heard the fridge door open, objects falling all over the floor. With all the emotions that built up over the past few days, that was what sent you over the edge. Joe groaned as he saw the contents of the fridge on the floor.
“I’ll get it Joe, it’s my fault,” you sniffled, trying to hide the fact that this accident is what send you over the edge.
“Hey hey hey, why are you crying?” Joe snapped out of his irritated state, immediately tending to you.
“I don’t know Joe. Everything has just been building up for God knows how long and,” you gasped for air as Joe pulled you into a hug.
“Baby, take a deep breath. Everything is okay,” he reassured you, rubbing your back. You continued to cry into his chest. He rested his head on the top of your head, laying a delicate kiss to your hair.
“Joe I just can’t handle much anymore. I don’t wanna lose you,” you sobbed. Joe was slightly shocked at what you said, he didn’t think things had gotten to that point.
“Y/n, why would you think that I’d leave you?” He questioned, lifting your chin up to look at him.
“I just feel like things haven’t been the same lately,” you said, trying to see his face through your tears.
“No matter what happens y/n, I’m not leaving you. You’re the most important thing to me,” Joe said, pulling you back into a hug, this time holding your head tight to his chest. He knew you probably just needed to cry it out, life had been difficult for the both of you lately. Joe hated to see you cry, but he was grateful that it was in his company. He knew you hated to cry alone because it was so difficult to stop.
“I just feel like no one understands me the way you do and not talking to you for so long was hard and when you left and we were mad at each other I thought it was the end,” you rambled on, still in an obviously panicked voice. Joe just hugged you harder, breathing in the smell of your shampoo.
The speaker was still playing music, and the song Nobody Gets Me came on. Talk about timing.
Joe held you close and tight to him, his chest absorbing your tears that hesitated to fall as time went on. Your arms wrapped around his back while his arms were wrapped around your waist, his head still resting on top of yours. Talking had stopped as the song continued on. Your panicked breathing slowed as the two of you swayed back and forth to the song.
Joe would periodically rub your back and lay a kiss on the top of your head. You continued to take deep breaths while your head rested on his chest. The smell of his body wash slowing calming you. The song faded but the two of you held your embrace strong. The candle light soothed your eyes as they restored to their normal vision, Joe brushing some of your hair behind your ear.
“Everything is okay baby, we’re fine. I promise I won’t leave you in the dust like that again. I’m sorry I put you through that,” Joe apologized, leaning to kiss your forehead.
“I just feel like nobody gets me like you do. Promise we’re okay?” you asked, pulling an arm away from his back to extend your pinky to his in search of a pinky promise.
“I promise y/n. Everything will be okay,” Joe wrapped your small pinky in his long one, then quickly pulled you into another hug. “Nobody gets me like you,” he whispered into your hair, laying another kiss on your head.
The embrace in the kitchen seemed to last for 20 minutes. But that was exactly what you both needed.

see I used to have ideas for this and they all disappeared when I wanted to write this urghhhhh anyway I hope y'all still enjoyed some of it <3

can u write where joe has to be super gentle with the reader when they're have having sex b/c shes fragile and gets bruised very easily
Gentle // Joe Burrow x Reader
Tumblr media
18+ Minors DNI
Summary: Joe has to be gentle during sex since you bruise easily, but you aren’t so gentle on him Word Count:630
Warnings: talking about pain, unprotected sex, somewhat vanilla, scratching
-----------------------------
“Baby is that another bruise?” Joe walked in as you were exiting the shower. You looked down, five small bruises where Joe's hands had held you earlier. “Oh I guess I’m sorry,” you rubbed at them feeling a deep pain. “Don’t apologize, I need to learn to be more gentle,” he said, wrapping a towel around your body. He wrapped his arms around you hugging you, placing a kiss on your lips. “Mhm do that again,” you said, closing your eyes to enjoy it. He did so, dragging his mouth down to your neck. He kissed lightly, not leaving even the faintest hickey. “Come here,” he turned you around, picking you up and setting you down on the bathroom counter. He pushed his body between your legs closing the gap between the two of you. He pulled the towel off you slowly, looking at your body. “May I?” He asked you, his hands hovering above your bare waist. You smiled at him nodding a yes. He gently placed his hands, his fingertips barely placing on you. His touch was so soft now, his thumb moving over your hips. He kissed your collarbone, moving down and placing it in your stomach, then your hip. He was on his knees in front of you. He was on his knees now, his thumb beginning to rub small circles, his other inserting a finger. You placed your hand on his face, turning him to look at you. He kept working on your pussy, smiling happily at you. He moved his fingers fast, bringing you close to release, and you gripped the counter. He stopped, standing quickly and removing his pants. He moved in close once again, his face coming close to yours. His hand met your face, he held your cheek, his thumb pushing its way into your mouth. “You ready?” He asked looking into your eyes, you twirled your tongue around his thumb. “Yes,” you said, closing your eyes in anticipation. You felt his hand grab your thighs, the same place bruises had appeared. His touch was light and gentle, he was aware of his strength. He lined himself up, pushing into you. He thrust quickly, needing release, you moved your hips with his needing it just as much as he did. You both moaned out, his hands stayed light as they moved up to your neck, holding ever so gently around your throat. He pushed you back, your heading hitting the mirror. “Gentle baby,” you reminded him, his eyes softened and he continued to move in and out of you. Your stomach tightened, your body filling with an ecstatic feeling, “I’m close,” you whimpered into his ear. He quickened his pace, pushing harder into you, and your walls tensed around his dick. “Fuck, you’re so tight baby,” his strokes became uneven, and your hands were grabbing around Joe’s body, finding anywhere to hold. You moaned out his name, your nails gripping his arms. You let go, your body shaking with pleasure, Joe did the same. “You’re so good to me,” you whispered in his ear. He picked you up, carried you to the bed set you down. “Was I gentle enough?” he hadn’t even caught his breath yet. “Of course,” you reassured him, putting your hand on the back of his neck. You looked at his body, heaving over top of you. You had scratched up his arms and chest. They were superficial, like small cat scratches, “looks like I wasn’t very gentle on you,”
“That's okay,” he looked down at himself, chuckling and running his hand over a few of the scratches.

heaven - joe burrow x reader (pt. 1)
Tumblr media
INSPO:
She was innocence. A perfectly painted picture created by only the greatest higher-ups. She was the sheer image of flawless and excellence all wrapped up in a human body, and she was standing right in front of my own two eyes. Y/n Taylor - our Coach, Zac Taylor’s daughter was nothing short of gorgeous. Every-time she smiled or talked had me wanting more, and more. I couldn’t get enough of her. I knew she was destined to be mine. She was heaven on earth.
———————————————————————-
I woke up in my dorm still sore from the football game last night. As much as I love being an LSU Tiger Girl, my body still disagreed with all the intricate dance routines we do for game-days. Just something I’ll never get used to in all my years of dancing, I suppose. Yet, the pain was worth the screams of the crowd when we hit our final 8-counts and all the recognition we are able to get from the way our bodies move - in a good way. LSU and dance were traits I don’t think I could ever get rid of. Baton Rouge was my home now, and a damn good one if I do say so myself.
I decided to clamber my way out of the lifted twin bed and get a start with my day. I opened the blackout curtains to the bright Louisiana sun, shinning its way into the small room. My roommate, Kelsey, had already left early in the morning to go see family for the day. Yes, Baton Rouge is a good home - but it would still be just as amazing if I had some family that lived here. I wish I could go see family like Kelsey did, but the fact that my family lived about 4 states over; prevented me from seeing them as often as I would like. It also prevented them from being in the stands on LSU game-days. Which meant they weren’t able to see what I worked so hard to become, why I chose dance as a sport. It made me upset, with it being my rookie year and no family to come watch every Saturday, but I have amazing teammates and friends who make up for it.
Now, I don’t blame my parents harshly for missing game days. My dad stays busier than a squirrel in a nut factory, but both him and mom try to be here whenever they can. My dad, the one and only Zac Taylor, is the new head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. So yeah, I really can’t blame him for not being here on game days. After making my way to the rooms private bathroom; I decided to take a nice long shower to wash away the hairspray, dried sweat, and body glitter that had invaded every bit of my skin. Turning off the water, I grabbed my towel and dried off. After doing necessary hygiene and hair styling, I put on an LSU shirt, black shorts and my white tennis shoes. The weather was about as hot as hell in Louisiana and the dorms can get pretty stuffy at times, so I always try to stay as cool as possible. I was finishing up putting my jewelry on when my phone started to ring.
“Hello?” I picked up not even bothering to look at the contact name.
“Honey! It’s so good to hear your voice again!” A joyful voice spread from the phone to my ears and my mouth grew into a huge smile.
“Mom! It’s great to hear your voice again to. What’s going on?” I responded back, starting to miss my mom a little more than I already had been.
“Oh nothing really hun, I should be asking you what’s going on after that huge win last night! Your dad and I got to watch some it and even got to see you dance some - well from what the cameras would show”  My heart swelled, mom and dad were actually watching for me last night.
“I’m glad y’all could see me dance some, I wish you guys could be here. I miss y’all” I said, wishing I could be with my mom and dad right now.
“We miss you so much Y/n, I’m honestly still not use to seeing your bedroom empty” I heard my moms tone change. I hated hearing and seeing my mom get upset, but I know me living so far away took a toll on her.
I opened my mouth to respond, but then my mom started talking again. “Wait, how many classes do you have this week? And do you have practice any?” She questioned.
I looked over at my desk calendar checking to see if this upcoming week was busy. “Uhm, I actually only have one in person class this week on Thursday and no practice this week because it’s an off week, Why?” I questioned back.
“Why don’t your dad and I buy you a plane ticket and you come up and spend the week at home!” My eyes lit up in excitement, going to Cincinnati sounded great right now.
“Really? You guys would do that for me?” I said, surprising myself that I was able to form that sentence without screaming in happiness.
“Of course hun, I’m going to go tell your dad and get that ticket! Would you be good with leaving tonight?”
“Yes, that sounds great! Whatever gets me to y’all the fastest!” I don’t even think happy is the word to describe my mood right now.
“Yay! I’ll text you the ticket and everything else as soon as I get it Y/n. I love you sweetheart, I can’t wait to see you!” My mom squealed into my ear.
“Okay mom, I love you and can’t wait to see you too!” After that we said our goodbyes and I had some bags to pack.
I shoot Kelsey a text saying I had a last minute trip to Cincinnati and probably wouldn’t be here when she got back. I let her know when I’d be back and that if she needed anything - to call. I grabbed some duffel bags and started packing up whatever I had, still in shock that I was going to be able to see my parents. Even though it had only been a few months since I last saw them, being separated from them made it feel like years.
Mom ended up sending my plane ticket about thirty minutes after our call had ended. I was departing at 7 tonight, and with it only being 11 in the morning - I had some time to kill till I needed to leave for the airport. I continued packing when my phone buzzed.
Coach Dad
Miss you lil bit ❤️ so glad you’re coming home. Let me know when you get to the airport.
Love, Dad.
I smiled at his text. He still felt the need to sign off his texts like a letter, even after the countess times of me telling him ‘people don’t do that’. Ever since my dad took the head coach position of the Bengals, I don’t have much time to see or talk to him. So, I cherish any moment I am able to get with him. Hopefully this trip would allow me to get even closer to my parents - especially my dad.
———————————————————————-
I threw all my bags in the back of my car and hopped into the drivers seat. I cranked up the car, pulled out of my dorm buildings parking lot and made the quick 20 minute drive to the airport.
Upon arriving to the airport, it was only 4:45 p.m. - so I had time to get checked in, go through TSA and chill before my flight. Dad always said to ‘get to the airport extremely early, just incase’ although it was annoying when we flew when I was younger. I was never known to be an early bird, so leaving at 4 a.m. for 10 a.m. flights when I was a kid was dreadful. I still remember when we moved to Cincinnati, I was a bit younger when we moved but the flight over was one of those 4 a.m. deals. I texted dad and mom that I arrived at the airport and got out of the car to grab my bags. I checked in at the first desk I saw and then walked down the incredibly long terminal. ‘Why did airports have to be so big?’ I thought as my feet started to drag. I reached my boarding area and went through TSA - thankfully not having to be stopped to be patted down. After TSA, I was free to roam till the flight boarded. I wasn’t really hungry and airport food is expensive, so I don’t think I’ll get food - plus it was only a 3 hour flight, so I would just eat whatever they provide on the plane. I decided to sit down and scroll on my phone, trying to waste time. I looked at the texts my parents had sent back about my flight and to text them when I took off and landed, so I responded back to those first.
I then opened my Instagram and started to scroll through and like what was on my feed. Photos ranged from LSU posts to something my friends had posted the day before. After scrolling for a minute, a Cincinnati Bengals post popped up on my feed. Yes, I did follow the Bengals account but I never really kept up with them - I was always too invested in LSU to even think twice about the team dad coached. Plus since dad had only started coaching them this year, I really didn’t keep up with them - I hadn’t even gone to a game yet. The post consisted of introducing their rookies and their stats after the first few games. First slide: Tee Higgins - Wide Receiver, Second slide: Logan Wilson - Linebacker, Slide three: Akeem Brian- Davis - Linebacker, Fourth and final slide: Joe Burrow - Quarterback.
Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow. I repeated his name in my head over and over, but where had I heard it from? I decided to look this Burrow kid up and to say I was shocked was underplaying it.
Joe Burrow - Heisman Trophy Winner 2019!
Joe Burrow Drafted First Pick for Cincinnati Bengals!
Joe Burrow and LSU win 2019 National Championship!
Joe Burrow. The name made sense now. Joe Burrow. The dude was a fucking legend at LSU… and he just so happened to be playing for my dads team. I remember hearing people talk about him when I first arrived at LSU, especially the girls. I guess I’ve never put two and two together till now. I looked at pictures of him. I’ll give it to him - he was pretty cute, but from what I’ve heard he had a reputation at LSU; specifically a fuck-boy one.
I looked up more about Burrow. Something about him was so interesting to me, I couldn’t figure out what it was though. I’m honestly surprised no one had asked me about him yet because of my dad - but I guess since dad was new, nobody really knew I was his daughter.
Looking at his pictures more made notice how Joe looked absolutely angelic… like something from heaven. I shouldn’t get caught up in obsessing over him though. He had a bad reputation at LSU and most likely now, and I needed to keep mine a clean slate. I was attending school on a full ride athletic scholarship because of dance - being that the LSU Tiger Girls recruited me for their squad without even having to tryout.
If I ever got into an entanglement with a guy like Joe Burrow then there’s no telling what it would do to my character. There’s no way a guy that looks like Joe would step foot in my direction though. I’m the coaches daughter, so if he ever did figure out about me then I’d probably be way off limits…and he’d be totally out of my league.
After all my research and pondering, the airport intercom called over to say my flight was boarding. I grabbed my carry on bag from beside my chair and made my way to the tunnel outside of the plane, making sure to text my parents that we were boarding and going to leave soon. Once the other passengers and I were boarded and sat in our seats, the pilot went over the basic rules of plane, what to do in an emergency, and all the extra details. Once he finished and the plane was ready, we were good for take-off. As I relaxed in my seat and looked out my window at the runway lights, I couldn’t help but think about three things: Cincinnati, my parents, and Joe Burrow.
———————————————————————-
first part ever! ah so excited - i hope this turns out to be all i wanted in a fanfic, and i hope you guys enjoy it! <3

Three Taps for the Lombardi
Mature // 3.9K // Chapter 2 “Chimney basically outed me to the team today. So now they all know I’m gay and have a boyfriend,” Eddie tells Buck when he slides into the bed later that evening. He gently nudges Jade, their black coat retriever mix, from her resting place next to the man who first bought her home.  She huffs in displeasure and leaps down, padding out of their bedroom, most likely heading to Christopher’s room. His boyfriend quirks an eyebrow. “Outed you? Have you been trying to hide it? I thought we agreed-“ Eddie groans. “I know what we agreed to, and I wasn’t hiding that I’m gay, but I’m not going around saying, 'Hi I'm Eddie Diaz from Houston and I only like dick.” Buck chokes on a laugh, but lets him continue. “I’ve been calling you my partner, no gender attached.  But then there were these girls at this awful country bar and they were being very persistent-“ “And you got annoyed, so you pulled the gay card,” Buck says with understanding. The fireman snorts. “Told them I have a boyfriend and I guess the team overheard, or my voice carries really well, I don’t know. But anyways we get in the truck and Chimney blurts out, ‘You’re gay?’ and it was all downhill from there.” Buck is shaking the bed with how hard he's laughing. "Oh my god, Eddie! He didn't out you, you did that yourself!"

Family Barbecue
Tumblr media
anon this was such a cute request, i love it and i hope y’all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!! <3
——
It was your favorite time of year, the summer time. Time to spend with family and friends and especially some drinks. Every July, the Burrow family would host a family-wide barbecue. You had been attending for years, and Joe’s parents made sure that their planning always worked with your schedule and Joe’s schedule.
Ever since Joe brought you to the first family barbecue after being together for 5 months, his family knew that you were the one for him. You always offered to help cook, clean, entertain the kids, or do anything else they needed. They all saw how Joe looked at you too, with pride in his eyes.
This was year 5 of going to the family Barbecue, and Joe’s family kept poking fun at him about how he hasn’t popped the marriage question yet. They wanted it just as bad as you did.
“Joey, are you ready to go?” You yelled up the stairs from the kitchen. Joe took just as long as a girl getting ready some days.
“Yes baby, I’ll be down in a sec,” he responded back as you heard frantic footsteps up the stairs. You were a planner, and Joe was not. You had a timeline of what needed to be done when, and Joe just went with the flow until he got distracted and needed to be directed back to what needed to be done.
You headed out the garage door, loading your cooler of drinks into the backseat of Joe’s car. The snack bag you had packed followed the drinks. Your overnight bags were packed last. Since his parents lived an hour and a half away and there would be drinks consumed, his parents offered up their extra bedroom for the two of you.
After double checking your list that was stationed on the island, Joe finally came down the stairs, looking as handsome as ever. He was wearing just a basic pair of gym shorts, a bengals tshirt, and his white Nike athletic shoes. Of course, the dork had his shirt tucked in. That was something you always messed with him about.
“Cmon babe, we gotta go or we’re gonna be way late,” you said, leading the way to the garage to finally leave. An hour and a half drive still ahead of you.
Joe grabbed a bottle of water from the garage fridge and got in the car. You settled yourself in the passenger seat with your Nintendo Switch Lite with Animal Crossing ready to go. While you didn’t hardcore game, some Animal Crossing and Minecraft here and there were sometimes what you did to entertain yourself.
After hitting the road, Joe played his music and hummed along as you were focused on your game. His hand rested on your thigh as he drove along. Eventually, you got tired of playing your game, so you decided to take a short nap. You leaned your seat back a bit and propped up your pillow between your shoulder and the window.
"Can you let me know when we're like half an hour away?" you asked, Joe replied, "Of course babe, you gonna put on your makeup then?" he questioned, glancing over at you for a second. You replied with a hum and curled to a semi-comfortable place to nap.
pat pat pat
Joe patted you awake, you stirred and lifted the back of your seat up.
"We're half an hour away honey," he said, smiling in your direction as you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes.
"Thanks Joey, now don't brake check anyone," you joked with him, poking at his arm. You pulled your makeup bag out of your car bag, opting for just some eyebrow filling and mascara, and of course highlight. That was your favorite step of your makeup routine.
As you pulled into Joe's parent's neighborhood, you collected your things in your bag and freshened up your outfit. You chose to wear your favorite pair of jean shorts and a cute flowy tank top.
Pulling into the driveway, Joe's parents came to greet you. The 3pm air was hot but with a breeze. Hugs were given and passed, and as you approached the house, Joe's nephew Jordan came running up to you.
"Y/n!" he cheered with his little 3 year old voice. That alone melted your heart.
"Hi Jordan! How's my big guy doing?" you asked and picked him up, resting him on your hip.
"Good! Let's go play!" He squirmed, wanting to be put down to go run around. You could tell he was fresh from his nap that was taken earlier. If only naps for adults were that rejuvenating.
"We can play here in a minute, but could you use your big, strong muscles to help us?" you tickled his stomach. He pretended to flex. He ran out to the car where Joe and his parents were, clinging to Joe's leg. Joe picked him up and gave him a little fist bump.
"Y/n said I can use my big muscles to help!" Jordan said with a smile on his face. Joe set him down and handed him the smallest bag. You grabbed your overnight bag and the cooler and headed inside with Jordan leading the way.
After placing your things in the guest room, you followed Jordan outside to go say hi to Joe's siblings and their partners. You cracked open your first drink of the night while Jim worked on grilling up some hamburgers and hot dogs.
Jordan pulled you over to the swing set, you set him in the swing that looked like a little car, pulling him toward you to get the momentum going. You continued to push Jordan in the swing as he laughed the cutest little laugh.
Joe was admiring from afar with a beer in hand. He was standing with his dad while he grilled, watching you play with Jordan, a smile spread along his face. You two had talked about kids before, but a ring needed to come first.
The next thing that Jordan wanted to do was race you and Joe. Of course, Joe said yes, setting his beer down to race.
"Okay, Jordan count us down," you say, lining up to begin to run.
"Okay y/n, 3...2..." and Jordan was off before the count of 1. You and Joe giggled, but eventually ran and tried to catch up to him. Jordan had passed the established finish line before you and Joe could get there. He jumped in excitement.
"I'm not letting you beat me, y/n" Joe huffed out as he began to run up to you, tackling you to the ground.
"Burrow, you're a quarterback, not a defensive end, my god," you groaned after hitting the ground, allowing laughs to escape your mouth. Jordan came over and giggled, climbing on top of Joe who was still on top of you.
"Uncle Joe sandwich!" you cheered and grabbed for Jordan's hand. You all giggled and eventually, Joe wormed his way out of being between you and Jordan. He outstretched a hand to you, helping you up.
Eventually, dinner was served and everyone gathered in the screened in porch to eat. Jordan insisted on sitting between you and Joe. Jordan's mom plopped his booster seat down in the chair between you and Joe. Jordan dug into his food as soon as it was set in front of him, ketchup ending up all over his hands, face, and clothes. As you ate, you would use your napkin to dab off Jordan's face, causing your napkin to turn red from the mess he had made.
Joe looked at you admirably, adoring how good you were with kids. You secretly hoped that Joe would see how good you were with kids and want to hurry up and propose already.
After dinner, Jordan helped you clean up the dining space by taking the empty paper plates to the trashcan and leading you to the paper towels so he could help you wipe down. You lifted him up to grab the roll off the island inside, carrying him like Buzz Lightyear back out to the patio, giggles filling the air.
The rest of the family had gone to sit out by the fire pit, insisting that you not do any cleaning up. But you couldn't just not help, it wasn't like you. And you could maneuver Jordan into doing anything with you, which also gave his parents a break.
Out at the fire pit, you could see the rest of the family laughing and joking. You admired Joe from the screened in porch while you waited on Jordan to run in and take the dirty paper towels to the trash can. Jordan ran out, tugging at your arm to go join the rest of the family.
You and Jordan joined the rest of the family, sitting down on the outdoor blanket. You sat criss cross applesauce and Jordan sat in your lap and played with your fingers while letting out yawns.
After a few more drinks, Jordan was asleep in your lap. His parents seemed ready to go, so you offered to help Jordan into his car seat.
You headed out to their car, carrying Jordan with his head resting on your shoulder.
"Thanks for playing with him and taking care of him today, y/n. It was a really nice break for us, he's a wild one," Joe's brother said.
"It's really no problem, I had so much fun with this little ball of energy," you chuckled as you set Jordan in his car seat, buckling him in.
"One of these days, I want y'all to give him a cousin," Joe's brother laughed out. You hugged and went your separate ways.
Joe and his parents had transitioned to inside the house, working to clean up the kitchen.
"How can I help?" you asked as you walked in on them all doing different cleaning activities.
"Babe you helped plenty today, go take a shower or relax. We got this," Joe said as he brought you into his embrace. There really wasn't much left to clean up.
After things had been cleaned up, everyone moved to the couch to sit and relax a bit before bed. It was about 9:30 and the exhaustion from the day was hitting you. You let out a soft yawn as Joe pulled you to lean into his shoulder.
"I think we're gonna head to bed. It's been a long day," Joe announces to his parents as he stands up off the couch. You follow.
When getting to your room for the night, you headed straight for the shower. Playing with Jordan all day got you sweaty and stinky, not to mention the July heat.
"Babe I loved watching you play with Jordan today. I can't wait for us to have our own kids one day. A little Joe and y/n stumbling around," Joe said, leaning down to kiss your forehead.
"Me too Joey, me too," you sighed as you stepped into the warm shower.
After such a long day, a shower and some snuggles were great.
You and Joe were cuddled up into bed when he blurted out, "I love you, y/n and I want to marry you some day. I promise it'll be soon,"
"I love you too Joey, and I can't wait for that day. It'll be the best day of our lives," you smile as you close your eyes, drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
The next morning, you woke up alone. That's not normally how things went when you and Joe stayed with his parents. He'd wait for you so you could leave the bedroom together.
You slid on your slippers and headed for the kitchen, following the smell of bacon. When you began to approach the entrance to the kitchen, you heard conversation. Sometimes, you loved to eavesdrop, but you also hated to butt in during conversation, so you stood by the doorway, out of sight of Joe and his parents.
"So when are you finally gonna pop the question?" his dad nudged at him.
"Soon, I swear. I've got the ring picked out and everything, I just need to send it to my jeweler," Joe said as he set out silverware.
"We love her and it's about time she became part of the family for real," his mom spoke out, walking up to Joe to lovingly rub his back. His family had been pestering him for a while to propose, but he wanted to do it on his own time, which you understood.
"It'll be soon, I promised that to her and I promise that to you all. Cause after seeing her with Jordan yesterday, I know she is who I'm meant to marry. Not that I didn't have those thoughts before, it just really proved to me that it's about time I asked her to marry me," Joe responded in a soft voice, trying not to allow his voice to carry.
You stood in the doorway for a minute more just to make sure the conversation was over. Soon, you approached Joe and pulled him into a side hug. He held onto you for a minute before leading you both to fill your plates with breakfast food.
You had a peaceful morning with Joe and his parents. You loved his family and couldn't wait to officially join it.

word count: 718
Warning: jealous Joe
--------------------
You and Joe were heading over to his brother's house for a dinner that his family invited them to last night. You smiled big. “I can't see your little nephews again. Did you know they both like me a lot?” You smiled even bigger thinking about those boys.
Joe chuckled out. “You tell me that everytime we go see them Y/n” You roll your eyes. “You know it's been ages since we even saw them. You know you miss them too.” He just shakes his head while pulling up to his brother's house. The two cutest boys were outside chasing each other as you got out of the car.
Once they noticed you they ran to you yelling your name. “Y/n you here we miss you so much.” Both of them hug you tight. “Oh my look how much you two have grown up.” Joe walks around the car and pats the boy's head. “Hey to you boys.” He told them. Both of them look at him. “Hi Uncle Joe” before Joe could get another word out  the boys grabbed your hand. “Come play with us”
You look over at Joe with a big smile before they pull you in the house. Joe signs. ‘’They act like I'm not here” He goes inside the house too. You sat in the living room playing some game you didn't understand but you were having fun. Joe was watching them when his brother walked to him. “You know mother taught us not to stare and that kind of stare is not good. Why are you watching them?”
He turns to his brother. “I wasn't staring, just watching them.” His brother gave him a look. “That staring is not why I want kids. That stare is jealous. So why are you jealous of my boys? " Joe shakes his head and looks over at the boys and you. “They barely even noticed I was there until I said something. They were more happy to see Y/n” His brother patted his back. “She is still new to them but don't worry once they understand football. They're gonna be bugging you more than her. Plus I believe those two got their first crush feelings.”
Joe looks at him. “With my girl?” His brother laughs. “To them she is pretty, you should be happy they like her.  Maybe after all she is a keeper.'' While they were talking you were listening to the boys and teaching you how the game works. You turn to where Joe was and see him and his brother were speaking. You couldn't read their lips but Joe's body language told you what he was feeling.
You turn back to the boys. “Boys, I have an idea , want to have more fun?” They both look at you with the biggest eyes ever. Gosh they are cute. You giggles how they lookin at you like you are their favorite person ever. “Listen, wanna make Uncle Burrow a happy man for a few seconds.” They both nod. You smiled.
“Here is my plan, see him over there right.” They nod again. “Well I think he is having a bad day so why don't you two go tackle him and make his day better’’ you smiled bigger when the boys ran to Joe and tackled him. His brother starts laughing while you watch it all happen. He looks at you and mouths “thank you” to you.
Around two hours later you and Joe were getting ready to leave. Both of yall were outside when he turned to you. “I know it wasn't their idea to come after me like two football players.” You only look at him. “No clue what you are talking about Burrow. Maybe they miss you too.” He gives you a look and you shrug.”They love you, believe me they are happy to have you as their uncle. Who knows maybe they will be like you and be in the NFL” You walk to his car.
“Second, next time you don't want people to know you're jealous, control your body language. Because you suck at that.” He looks at you. “I'm good at doing that on the field , not with my girlfriend.” You open the door, “Let go home. I want kisses and cuddles from my jealous man.”
