yeah, carbon dating, bitch! get in here we're learning about bones n shit!

so this little guy is called the bone hydra! (His name is Lerny but we're getting all science-y in here so we gotta use the genus name)

it's a monster that can be found in Hades, specifically Asphodel, and it's got 5 heads. Each head has a different method of attack, and any one of the 5 can be selected as the main head you will fight when you encounter it. This only happens after you have bested it 3 times, however! so keep on your toes!

Once the other heads are able to spawn, they will do so during 2 separate support phases where the main head has become invulnerable to all damage and you must destroy each of the other heads to be able to harm the main one again. scary stuff!

Lets talk about those heads and their abilities!

This little guy right here? This is the Yellow Variant. He's your standard bread and butter, but that doesn't mean he's a slouch! He's got access to the most abilities out of any of them. Being able to shoot a volley of fast moving projectiles, ground slam, and even summon other variants! You should not under estimate this little guy!

What about the other variants you ask? Well, lets go in order!

The Orange Variant here shoots out magma ball spittles! be careful, they can burn you, as they leave temporary magma pools on the ground! he's able to make the arena extremely hectic, so don't slouch on him!

Continuing on, this version is the White Blue Variant, Its horns remind me a bit of @demilypyro's actually! And just like her and her love of hammers, its got the ability to SLAM its big ol' head on the ground and do lots of AOE damage, and even make parts of the arena crumble away! dangerous... you'll have to move quickly against this one!

And now you've to the Green Variant! Hey... those are my colors! and its a summoner too? talk about stealing my whole thing. Anyway, this one can throw out some little balls that can spawn some really dangerous enemies during the fight! You gotta take those out before they spawn, or it'll get even more hectic!

And finally, we've got the Purple Variant, this funky little guy likes to shoot waves of long, slow moving projectiles at you! they're designed to trip you up and make you mess up with how intimidating they are, but as long as you face danger head on and dash directly through them, you're usually pretty safe!

anyway, that's just a bit of Hades based bone lore for you! Carbon dating is fun! I hope it helped! Soon you'll be getting that Titan's Blood from good ol' lerny here in no time. I believe in you! And I'm sure demily does too. :)

When single

- super careful about never transmitting disease to anyone. Will avoid anything no matter how important when he thinks he might be contagious with something

- very pro-vaccine. Will get every fucking vaccine he can get for free. Anything he needs to pay for is a problem...

When married:

- WHINY. AS. HELL. Needs cuddles. Will tug at your arm when you walk by him to just get you to touch him for a moment longer. Will hesitate to let you go. Will make the biggest puppy eyes at you to get you to keep him company -> but only as long as he thinks he’s not too contagious or he’s too loopy to comprehend.

When married and contagious:

- “Stay away from me! I cannot bear the risk of pulling you into the abyss with me! Leave me! I shall endure my suffering in lonesome...”

When married and kids are sick:

- Dotes on them so, so much. Tea every hour with the most gentle and patient encouragement to drink it. The healthiest snacks for speedy recovery. If its a cold, they get a half dozen different kind of throat candies, honeyd tea, the best possible combination of great effect cough syrup with the least offensive taste. He will taste test the fucking cough syrups to find the one least offensive. Will make them soup, will read to them. Anything. Anything he could possible do to make them get through it better.

They throw him out more than once.

- FRETS. SO. MUCH.

When spouse is sick:

- Takes care of every goddamn thing in the world. The farm, the kids, makes every effort to make them feel better. All the things he does for the kids plus any comfort dishes he knows they like but also-> STERN. Will force himself to force his spouse to take the medicine and eat and drink AAAAALL the tea, no matter how much they hate it. As soon as he thinks his spouse is no longer contagious he will also cuddle them and kiss their hand and forehead all the freaking time trying to make them feel better and convinced, CONVINCED I DARE SAY - that his physical love will make them get healthy faster

- goes outside to fret so his spouse doesn’t feel guilty about making him fret

I like macdennis as a ship I just don’t see it the way the rest of the fandom seems to. To me it’s a perfect representation of abusive relationships and how even when the love has gone sour and there is nothing beneficial there for you anymore you’ve been so love bombed and manipulated that you find yourself clinging to who you believe the person is. Who they used to be in the beginning. You teach yourself to welcome the abuse, because at least they’re giving you attention, tell yourself you like it, tell yourself they treat you like that because they care (ultraviolence by lana del rey perfectly represents what it feels like to be trapped in an abusive relationship imo and it parallels macden so well) you become toxic in turn because you’re desperate for some kind of reaction from them you’re desperate for them to need you as badly as you need them (Mac poisoning Dennis so he’s dependent on him again) as someone who is both extremely kinky and has been in an abusive relationship, I know the difference. That’s why the macdennis dynamic is so important to me and I guess why it annoys me so much when people romanticise it or act like Mac is just as bad as Dennis because he’s not. Everything he’s ever done to Dennis has been a cry for help. It’s very telling who in the fandom has never been in that situation because you don’t know what someone abusing you does to your psyche. You become crazy and toxic and do anything to get them to love you again the way they used to. The show perfectly represents the cycle of abuse in the way Mac is used to receiving love from his parents directly correlating to the way he feels comfortable in his abusive situation with Dennis. Idk it means a lot to me. Their dynamic is so much more than a quirky odd couple thing.
