I was doing my little game where I would say my son had disappeared as I attempted to take of his sweater. But no more! My four year old just eloquantly explained the concept of object permanence to me in such a condescending tone
The relief in his eyes when she said she wouldn't judge him so easily. The delight in his face when she said she would've taken it further.
The curious tilt of her head, thinking how he knew she got expelled, and with no hesitation she'd do it again. His reaction to it; the evident joy that he couldn't hide.
Then all goes to hell when he says;
"I knew there was a reason I liked you."
Her face softens as he says it. Thee Wednesday Freakin' Friday Addams.
It sealed it. A validation.
Someone liked how unhinged she was, a normie even, accepted her for who she is. He was different from the snobbish, insufferable elites she had met in the school she didn't want to attend. He gets his hands dirty and not like the Nevermore brats too spoiled to know how a coffee machine works.
And it all made sense at the end why she was so into him too.
Him being a normie was fine.
She couldn't have foresaw or imagine him as an outcast.
But him being both of two worlds was so unexpected, it stung. Everything he did was a mockery of her shortcomings, and they both knew it. Him more than anyone else.
As much as she couldn't stand the fact that being a psychic, a raven, and missing the most crucial part of the puzzle humiliates her to the bone, it didn't change the fact that, yes.
Yes. All was done, blood was shed, tears were wasted and lives were taken.
He was suddenly the monster wreaking havoc in town. Disemboweling bodies in the woods, lying as if it were walking, killed his therapist boy-monster.
He wasn't just Tyler Galpin; a part time barista, and a wide eyed boy ready to comply with her whims.
He was, and is the Hyde.
Walking freely in town wearing the same innocent face that managed to fool her and stayed out of her radar. With his bigot, normie, sheriff father.
All smiles and sunshine in the daylight, but at night the shadows consume him.
"Of course the first boy I'd kiss would turn out to be a psycho killing monster. Guess I have a type."
Yeah girl you have a type.
And it's a temperemental beast with a mind of its own.
And it all started with a cup of coffee he had made for her. And those damn words she held in the back of her mind every time she does something unpleasant or disappoints her family or the head of the wretched school.
"I knew there was a reason I liked you."
But this time, it wasn't Tyler Galpin's voice echoing in her shabby mind.
It was her voice that she tried to suppress as her ribcage claws out of her chest. Denying any hint of affection.
There is always an explanation why things are the way they are, and why people act the way that they do.
And it was in front of her all this time.
Even now that Tyler is splayed bloody in the open.

I call it the Second Chance AU It's specifically for Cat Quest 2
Basically the two protagonists are sent back home, but instead of losing all their memories they keep them, and are forced to figure out how to fix things before both fall into all out chaos.
Hey big fan. How tall do you think the androids in DL are?
Not gonna lie, it's always a bit shocking to hear one has made anything to earn a 'big fan', but thank you very much nonetheless!
As for your actual question, though, I think they're roughly about human height, judging by art? Of course I've gone over how art sometimes varied wildly in height, but as mentioned in that post if you have seen that, Dragalia did seem to try and keep a 'comparison heights' straight, at least. They might not have kept straight if Euden was 4'11 or 5'9 but he was shorter than Ranzal and Luca, etc.
And what we see in the wyrmprints, they seem consistently human in size:
(Well, these are both with sylvans, but sylvans are human in height as well, ears notwithstanding, so the point stands).
As funny as it might have been if every android was big or really tiny, I think it probably makes sense that, being created and wished for them to be 'humans' by Maestro, they resemble humanity as much as possible.
Now, just because Laxi, Mascula, and the androids from their era are human sized, others might not be.
They're a recreation of the older models in another case of Dragalia's humans trying to resurrect older tech, the same tech that made the dragons Very Displeased 1k years ago.
Now, Eireene and Finni, who unfortunately have among my personal least favorite designs in Dragalia, don't really give any indication either of being a wildly different size than Laxi or Mascula. Like this art here, where they are about the same size as Laxi and in a similar 'dwarfed by Ranzal' category most everyone falls into to varying degrees.
That doesn't mean there aren't standouts.
Anassa, for example, seems to carry a much bigger presence in her art. Being something of a commander and command center for the 1k year old model androids, it stands to reason she might have more weapons built in, more data processors, or other things in greater quantity. While we don't have a model or comparative art to truly say for certain that she is bigger, she certainly looks it.
(Does she even have legs??? Is she a roomba that would be foiled by anything over a 15° incline or a sudden height change, ex, stairs??? I mean yeah, doesn't she fly and drop down the one time, but even then, there's any number of environments that might make it awkward or impossible to use it to navigate a hazard.)
Ahem. Anyways, the point is that the general androids, be it Maestro's recreations or their elder Nier:Dragalia -er, Ex Machina, a part of the Humanoid Liberation Agency/the ones living in the sky, seem to be human sized. But there might be a few special model ones out there like Anassa who serve a unique and important purpose to justify the time, energy, and resources designing and creating them to fulfill their goal.
Now, admittedly, androids in Dragalia would be a weak point in my general knowledge since they never really quite struck a chord with me enough to inspire a fixation on them, but yeah, as far as I can tell, they're human-sized with perhaps some rare exceptions. The most I can say that might not be wholly normal is their apparent tendency towards a sort of gaunt build, which, to be fair, it's not exactly as if they can build muscle to change that.
Hopefully that answered your question satisfactorily!
do you have a favourite portrayal of a character in the gotg game!! who is it and why <3
Oh I think they're all great honestly!!! Part of why I love the game so much is that genuinely, the whole team + supporting characters are written with such obvious love of the source material and equal attention between them all. When I see comments of people saying who their favorite character was from the game and the answer always being different from each person I'm like!! That's how it SHOULD be!!! They're the Guardians of the Galaxy (plural) the focus shouldn't all fall on a singular character like most other GotG media usually ends up as 😭
The two (sorry I can't pick just one) whom I think benefit the most from the game though are Drax and Gamora because they're almost always sidelined both in-and-out of universe by most of the various writers (especially as of late) and in turn the viewers/readers. I've been told plenty of times that they're the most boring members of the "main" team, BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY! The amount of love the game versions get (by the few who've played it at least) proves that 🥺
I've never really liked 616 Drax shifting to being a complete clown during the 90s and such (and even less so when the MCU followed along 💀) So I appreciate the game taking a bit of his seriousness from the DnA run and just making him struggle with nuance and context clues in a less exaggerated way (autistic Drax I still believe in u) and I feel the focus put on him and how losing his original family + the aftermath deeply affected him hits pretty hard here because it's treated very seriously and shown in depth, especially with how his family (wife) gets actual focus. I cannot tell you anything about Yvette in comparison to Hovat, who actually seemed to have had a personality lol (AND she was on their village's council like omg imagine having more to you than just being The Housewife) Though I will say I flip and flop on my thoughts about Heather being disconnected from Drax's life in this universe... The TLDR is that I think his arc here specifically works stronger when he has to come to terms with losing his entire family and accepting the life he currently has with the Guardians. BUT!!! I very much appreciate that Heather is still confirmed to exist within this universe, even if that means her dad issues would have to be dealt with in a different context if we ever get to see her.
Also? Shoutout to the writers actually bringing up the intense paranoia that always kneecapped 616 Drax but having that be a turning point in his backstory here, with that conversation he has with Peter where he talks about how he was becoming so paranoid of everyone being a chitauri/Thanos conspirator to the point of literally turning into an obsessed maniac like Thanos, and realizing that he desperately needed to turn his life around, it's so ough.
Out of the already many great conversations throughout the game, I think the ones with him are the most poignant. My favorite scene in the whole game is Drax and Pete's little moment on Knowhere... makes me go wahhh
(l also love that out of everyone on the team, it's his headspace that we quite literally get to go into. You KNOW that if this was any other media it'd be going into Rocket or Groot's head and likely treated as a joke.)
And oh my god, Gamora...
I find it so extremely refreshing that her role in the plot doesn't revolve purely around the men in her life, and instead, it's nearly exclusively her connection with other women. Or in the most direct obstacle she has to deal with, being how she starts projecting to the millionth degree on Nikki's situation for reminding her of what happened to her and Nebula. I find that infinitely more fascinating as a reading of her character rather than just dating drama or her arc getting completely overtaken by a man's instead.
And especially in her friendship with Mantis, who, despite having all these futures she's constantly seeing and having to navigate, still makes time to do her best to help her 🥺 From saving her life and being the one who put her on the path to healing on Lamentis, to getting her to join the Guardians and still checking in on her when she's able 😭 Friendship between women can be so powerful... u love to see it (🏳️🌈)
I also find it nice that there's this emphasis on her recovering mentally, and the comparison between Thanos essentially teaching her to just Deal with the shit in her life through very simplistic meditation versus the priests of Pama actually teaching her something to help soothe the mind :^( and that she still has moments of relapsing essentially. I find that to be a realistic take on recovery because that's just part of the journey since healing is not linear... and I think it's very sweet that she finds comfort in collecting something ---girly--- like dolls. Love to see a person reclaim a part of their childhood that they weren't allowed to experience. And how she's allowed to make BAD JOKES?? Imagine a woman being written to have multiple dimensions, crazy and absolutely unthinkable, I know.
There's this extremely specific theme in relation to Gamora across media that's been rattling around in my brain since first playing the game. When near the end during the revisit to Knowhere, she's about to completely lose it when Peter tries talking -for- her on what she's so upset about before immediately shooting him down, and she explains what happened between her and Nebula and she starts crying. It really struck me right then that she's never given a moment to cry elsewhere (or in the 616's case, the quite literal inability to.) aside from her shedding a Single Manly Tear (Original Sin) or a single moment out of legit fear (MCU 💀) because she's a hashtag Strong Independant Woman who can't be vulnerable etc etc. But for her to cry in front of the people she's come to care about, It gives her a moment of true vulnerability that I don't think she's allowed ever in most other media.
That and all of the above hits hard and is what makes me genuinely believe that the writers cared about her in the narrative and tried to do right by her when every other bit of media really hasn't nor cared to the majority of the time since the 90s :'^/ Brings a tear to my eye that she's allowed to just... exist in the narrative on her own merits and not on what she can provide to someone else's story.
A COUPLE nights ago i had some dream about this very ._. girl who was an aspiring rockstar and in the dream she had hair that was like simultaneously pink and blonde BUT LIKE not like dyed or highlights it was like. you know. just pink and blonde at the same time. so i just layered pink over yellow paint LOL it made a sorta pinky orange....
@afaramir tagged me to share a some of a wip thank u abby!! i've really gotten Star Wars Brained™️again so here's a snippet from the perpetually-unfinished 'what if this side character was force sensitive but it didn't actually change anything?' AU :p
Kleya is walking out of the Imperial Navy Recruitment Centre, calm and efficient and invisible, as hurrying on Coruscant gets you nowhere but dead. She’s left the package on the desk without any trouble, the receptionist bored and the security officers lazy, when suddenly the thing in her head yawns and snaps at her, animal teeth grazing her heels.
Kleya starts to run.
She skids into the turbolift right before the door closes and smiles blandly at the man inside. “Late for my next delivery,” she laughs, self-deprecating, and lets him lecture her on the importance of punctuality until there’s a violent shrieking of metal and the turbolift lurches to a halt, caught between two floors. They both stumble, barely keeping their footing.
The emergency lights come on.
The officer turns to look at her, something suspicious blooming on his face, and she puts two blaster bolts into his chest before he can say a word.
this fic is very... i don't like writing much about andor because the show is so, so good so it kinda doesn't feel like there's anything for me to add? but i am FASCINATED by the spymaster-who-needs-handling/agent-who-occasionally-handles-him dynamic that luthen and kleya have. he has such 'secret jedi' vibes that i'm so glad we didn't get confirmed but i think it would actually be more fun if SHE was connected to the web of energy that binds all living things, and it didn't matter in the grander scheme at all.
also bonus kotor 2 fic snippet because i just. cannot stop rotating the game in my mind. what if you had a crush/wartime hookup and she either fell to the dark side while you were together or was always there from the start. you know how it goes.
Her memories of Revan have... blurred, somewhat. The aftermath of Malachor V and her violent severing from the Force were greatly disorienting, scrambling things around, and ten years of piecing herself back together wasn’t nearly enough time to make peace with what passed between them.
When she tries, Leida can almost summon her up; she had been a sun in the Force, burning and vast and greater than anyone had the right to be, like a deity, a war-goddess. Alek was the recruiter, coming to the Temple and promising justice, but in truth they all fought under Revan’s banner, in Revan’s name.
It was all for Lady Revan, sad-eyed with something terse in her expression, who had met Leida after a skirmish wiped out the rest of her unit and said, “Yes, you’ll do.”
kotor 2 my beloved kotor 2................................ anyway.
hi it's your cyberpunk loving anon, cyber anon again (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)
ever since i found character.ai, i've been having a blast interacting with my favourite characters
speaking of ai, here's my ai-related request:
off with a sentient ai reader!
Oh yeah, character.ai is a lot of fun! I've been creating some characters here and there and been training them! It's a great site! I may have spent more time than I should have on there! But! I'm back now! Even if I was gone for a bit for several reasons! Anyway! Request time!
OFF with a Sentient AI Reader
You are a robot, given the task to exterminate spectres tormenting innocent inhabitants with a being called “The Batter”. Imbued with nothing but your observational skills and an ability to learn, you go about your quest.
The moment Batter sees you, as per usual, he instantly feels a connection between him and you. But something does seem rather off to him at first. Whereas you do emote, potentially more than he does, he feels as though his every movement is being analysed harshly. At first, you copy a few mannerisms of his, which would actually be his thing when it comes to affection. It’s almost flattering him, even, making him believe you were thinking of him as something more than just a puppet.
Nothing escapes the eye of a cat. Judge knew from the very beginning that you were made of iron and metal rather than flesh and blood, but such did not deter him from giving you a warm welcome regardless. Despite being somewhat more wary of you, due to your circuits potentially breaking and leaving more harm than good, he has great faith in you still, believing that you will do well in your divine quest.
As soon as you meet Zacharie, however, the merchant notices that something about you is not made of flesh and blood when he attempts to pat your shoulder in a friendly manner. You were cold and not particularly soft to the touch either. That’s when it clicked for the both of them and you confess, even if you believed they had known from the start. It’s then that Zacharie decides to have some fun and have you do a puzzle on your own without Batter’s help.
Needless to say, you failed, quite a lot. But eventually, you managed to do the puzzle without flaw. Despite him chuckling because of you quite a bit, Zacharie does feel bad and gives you some items as an apology. He does, however, like having your opinion on things and challenging your problem-solving skills from time to time. Seeing as you’re not guided by emotions, some rather interesting things leave your circuits.
When it comes to fighting, you still command the Add-Ons, yes, but more so through a manipulation of electromagnetism than actual magic. With some built-in equipment of yours, you’re capable of hitting more critical shots than the average player, as well as figure out an enemy’s weakness and resistance just as easily as Batter could with a few glances.
Dedan’s fight is rather difficult. While, due to your processor, you are capable of multitasking fairly easily, you had to make sure to not get damaged yourself. With his raw strength, as well as Dedan putting your allies to sleep from time to time, you had to do what you could in order to fight him off. Considering he deemed you an odd creature as well in quite the rude manner, he went all out on you. His time based attacks could mess with your inner periods and frequencies quite easily, distorting your sense of time and reaction quite a bit.
Japhet, however, was a bit easier. While his attacks could mess with your auditory perception, it couldn’t do too much damage to you overall. Besides, there was some hesitancy on Japhet’s side, ever the book nerd, that made him excited to meet you and see what you were capable of. While it didn’t particularly lead to him being more careless, it certainly kept his focus subconsciously on you, making it a bit easier for Batter to get a few more hits in.
Enoch, on the other hand, would have loved to keep you with him. Had you not been programmed to do your quest, he would have done what he could to convince you to join him. Performing research on you to make workers as efficient as you. People die all the time, it’s just a matter of them coming here. He would no longer have to rely on some spectres, he could simply rely on your kind. However, nothing could change your mind.
The Queen would be saddened by your actions. As a very advanced AI and computer, you could never understand the pain she’s going through, having to fight her own love just to defend her son, in her eyes. While that is also the reason she can’t be mad at you, if possible, in another universe, or even just another timeline, she would have loved to invite you for a beverage of your choice, sit down with you and simply chat. But as it is now, she has no choice but to put all her curiosities aside and try to protect her child.
what if I made a discord server for star rail and genshin fans to come join me and be friends and post silly things to make each other laugh and play silly little games like themed gartic phone and stuff and maybe do cute projects together
