Pokemon Gerudo Champion: Chief Leon
Not gonna lie, originally had Leon as one of the other champions but he ended up fitting best for Urbosa plus he looks the best in gerudon gear
Still finalizing everyone’s designs but everything coming together a lot nicer than I thought it would.

ok I'm not feeling sad so popping on real quick just to talk about part of the rockstar AU epilogue
Any Serrennedy epilogue concept involves them having kids ok, they're just such dads in my brain. I wasn't sure about the details for this AU, I was actually thinking very planned/adoption at first
then it hit me how FUCKING FUNNY it would be if they had an oopsie baby in this AU
like imagine Luis fucks Leon like one (1) time before going on tour or whatever. Leon tells him he's pregnant and he's like "it's not my baby holy shit im such a bad boyfriend neglecting Leon so much that he needed to find someone else :("
because he thinks Leon is perfect and therefore would never cheat. (tbf he's half right. Leon is definitely not perfect and a dysfunctional loser in his own way, but he is Luis-sexual and wouldn't ever cheat) But also this man has NEVER in his life done something right the first time. bitch took a decade and 6 albums to stop being cringe fail!! the concept of him actually getting Leon S Kennedy pregnant the first time they have sex simply doesn't occur him, the only explanation is that he fucked up so bad that Leon was forced to be shitty
then once he calms down and realizes he was being insane he's so OBNOXIOUS and will never ever shut the fuck up about the one and only time he was immediately successful. (and Leon lets him brag about it bc any time the hormones make him cry for a stupid reason Luis immediately offers to go get him mcdonald's because in his mind "Leon crying" is always an EMERGENCY!!!! that must be FIXED. even if Leon has already cried a dozen times that day. man can't tell Luis to shut up when he's too busy shoving a big mac into his mouth and Ascending)

PL Au How Things Change - The Bronev Family 1.0
Part 1 - Part 2 - ???
For a quick recap, after everyone dies in Azran Legacy, Luke wakes up 50 years in the past with three gashes on his cheek and is found by a 10 year old Leon Bronev and brought back to his house. Leon's parents, Valarie and Clayton, took Luke in on a temporary basis at first which became a permanent thing after not being able to find his parents.
Adjusting to how things were now was difficult, accepting that things would never go back to the way they were even more so. For the first few weeks, Luke was almost numb to it, just going through the motions while trying to find some semblance of normalcy.
Then something happens, something small, but something that reminds him of the previous timeline and he breaks down, the floodgate of homesickness and despair that had been building up for weeks finally hitting him full force. Clayton, Valarie and Leon were quick to try and comfort him and he let it all (or at least most) of it out, he'd never see his parents, friends or mentor ever again and that thought hurt.
The Bronevs comforted and helped him through this and over the next few days, Luke started to feel a bit better. It was because of this that Luke started feeling more like a member of the family.
As time goes on, Luke adjusts enough to his current situation to feel comfortable going out more, asking to join Valarie on some of her cases (she doesn't always say yes, but if there's little danger then she lets him come along) and even taking on a few cases of his own.
It's through one of these cases that spiralled into something bigger than he'd thought it'd be that he meets Isaac, a very rich boy one year younger than him that, without the case, he'd probably never run into otherwise. Isaac, hesitantly at first, is dragged along on the case and ends up becoming friends with Luke and Leon. It's only much later on that Luke learns Isaac's last name is Ascot and that he's likely Randall's father.
Another friend he makes, this time through much more mundane means, is Lucille, who he more quickly realises is (would become?) the professor's adoptive mother. She's a year older than him, and she's got a thirst for adventure. She often start 'adventures' with the same frequency Luke would seek 'cases', whichever they did Luke and Lucille would take the lead while Leon eagerly follows and Isaac is dragged along for the ride.
Luke, Leon, Isaac and Lucille would become close friends over the years, forming strong bonds with one another that would change who they would have become had Luke not been there. Roland and Rachel are yet to join the friend group, but rest assured they will.
Things that have changed:
(this isn't like the last list that showed what changed from the last time I wrote this au, this is for differences between this timeline and Luke's old one)
Leon is no longer an only child, now having Luke as an older brother, he'll have someone he can rely on. This will have an effect on his fate
Luke's friendship/friendly rivalry with Lucille has encouraged her adventurous side, which will lead to her not supressing it as much and being more willing to be open to opportunities for adventure and perhaps a bit more reckless as well
Isaac having friends outside his usual social circle has changed his perception on some things and their kindness will rub off on him, which will make him a much nicer man as he grows up. This will have an effect on Henry's situation
Luke assisting in Valarie's cases, which will happen more frequently as he gets older, will have an effect on her and Clayton's fate

❝ What's your wish? ❞
It's such a simple question, and yet, Leon is stunned he took so long to think of it. He's overwhelmed, he supposes; there's so many new sights and sounds and experiences to take in here, and there's only so much his multitasking can manage at once.
❝ I've heard it said that you grant the kingdom's - and that's admirable, truly! I'm sure Rosas is very grateful for your generosity. But have you granted your own? ❞
@danderosa || welcomes this lovely boy into our arms ;v;
“Oh my. That might be a new record, actually.”
For as stunned as the prince may be toward his own delayed inquiry, King Magnifico has half a mind to begin timing this sort of thing: just how long it takes someone in his company to broach that burning question. And certainly—yes!—it's admittedly a valid curiosity, far from a point of interest to be at all peeved about (honestly, he's impressed by those who choose not to ask), but the expectation breeds an almost... bitter amusement.
Something, however, the king is well-practiced to not show. As he turns then to face his guest, his smile is benign. His posture remains relaxed. Patience swaths every inch of his demeanor, and he breathes out a fluttery laugh before saying more.
Tumblr media
“The, ah... Well.” He hesitates, contemplating the most efficient method of explaining. “Perfecting the magic of wish-granting was a long and arduous process. By the time I had mastered it, any wish of mine was beside the point. That is to say...” A shrug rolls through his shoulders. “I wanted nothing more than to provide hope for my people; that has been my guiding principle and desire for as long as I can remember, and while Rosas prospers... I suppose—for the sake of this line of inquiry—that'd make the wish 'granted,' in its own way.”

is there a symbolism behind the dog in resident evil 4? or wolf, unsure if they're a dog or a wolf.
leon comes across as very doglike. very much a cat personality, but doglike in his loyalty. it's kinda hard to explain, but i've seen others for sure point it out.
it just seems like the ability to rescue a dog and that dog coming back to help leon reflects strongly with ada rescuing leon and him coming back to help her.
or am i looking too deep into this?

yo quick question why is your hpyu tag Drift Compatible
oh that's because that's not their ship tag! I've kept the custom of using ship tags for character/character stuff and my own tags for character+character stuff. if you're asking about the meaning of it, it's because I think of hop and gloria specifically as 'one person spanning two', they know each other so well asking one of their opinion on something's practically asking both and they can command each other's pokemon team without needing any preambles. there's also that joke I gave them of them acting like they look exactly the same and someone can only tell them apart by really obscure minute details, I am very fond of that one still :]

finally watched rottmnt movie! i’ll put my thoughts below the cut lol
so basically, i...just kinda thought it was okay? nothing great, unfortunately? it obviously had some great moments, but i think the arc of the movie as a whole was hindered by a couple key things:
1. it was kinda just Leo: The Movie. and i didnt really dig that. i think it would’ve made a much stronger story if they’d had ALL the turtles grow in some kind of way, but all of them stayed static except for Leo.
2. and even if people WERE clamoring for a Leo-centric movie for some reason, his movie arc is LITERALLY AN OBSTACLE HE’S ALREADY OVERCOME IN THE MAIN SERIES. IT’S LITERALLY A POINT OF GROWTH FOR HIM TO STOP BEING SO ARROGANT ALL THE TIME AND WORK AS A TEAM. THEY ALREADY RESOLVED THIS?!?!?!?! ASJHCFJKNHKGMH. just...why????
3. i’ve heard people saying that the creative team was pressured to make this as appealing as possible even to tmnt fans who maybe didnt actually watch Rise, but in the end it that means we lose a LOT of what made the Rise characterizations and writing so great in the series itself. the writing isn’t as snappy or quirky; maybe these writers are just more suited for writing serialized stories instead of a feature-length story, and that’s fine! or maybe they felt the need/were pressured to tone down some of the more Rise-specific narrative style, if that makes any sense. (small example that i feel reflects this vibe: the moment where they finally call themselves the teenage mutant ninja turtles. it was a running gag in the show to never actually claim that name for themselves in that exact order, and so when they finally do, it feels almost inauthentic, because i think that running gag helped re-inforce the whole theme this series was going for in terms of separating this iteration of the Turtles from the past iterations and really stepping out and making their own way. that’s the joy of the Rise series, honestly, is how unafraid they are to make their OWN world with these characters without diverging completely from the source material.) And i couldn’t help but feel the stark absence of the typical Rise running jokes/catch phrases/references in the movie. that’s something i love so much about the show: the careful attention to detail in maintaining continuity and continuing/resolving past gags. they literally only said “hot soup!” twice in this movie. and i feel like that’s really, really indicative of the whole vibe of it, honestly. it just lacks the explosive energy that makes the show so great. :(
as for a couple key things i did like:
the animation was obviously gorgeous, just as it is in the main series, too. seriously, rottmnt has forever spoiled me for tv series animation. and i did really like what they did with the Krang! THIS part certainly felt like how the series normally runs—taking a traditional TMNT concept and breathing fresh, new life into it, making it take on a different form so it’s unique to THIS tmnt universe. i love it!!
they went out of their way to devote time to donnie’s softshell! ahhhhhh!!!!!!! i love it!!!!!! (tho i think a majority of donnie’s dialogue was missing a little.... je ne sais quois. the donnie-ness, if you will. his snark often felt either too dry, or not quite witty enough—never in the sweet spot that it’d hit in the show. but maybe im just being nitpicky and other fans didn’t really find a problem with it!)
the escape pods just as a general concept were fucking GREAT. (tho here’s another negative, oops: i feel like donnie’s tech didn’t feature in the movie NEARLY as much as it does in the show, precisely because of how this was trying to still have watch value even for non-Rise fans. i mean, the number of times donnie’s been without a battle shell and just called one to him remotely, and yet somehow that couldn’t happen this time? am i missing something here or.....?)
all in all, it was definitely enjoyable, but i’d say it has MUCH lower re-watch value than the show does for me. i think what’s the most telling, though, is how i teared up and had goose-bumps for the entire final fifteen minutes during the Rise series finale, during the absolutely GORGEOUS Shredder fight scene—which was even better than the final battle in the movie, imo (though the fight scenes in the film still looked fucking amazing). i truly loved the emotional catharsis at the end of the movie, and mikey’s big savior moment was well-executed, too (huge shout out to the movie soundtrack which really helped drive the tension and emotion in critical scenes like this!), but all in all, i guess i’ve just got one thing to say to sum up how i’m feeling:
i never thought i’d prefer leo’s odachi over his katana.

Spaghetti Western icon and international film star Frank Wolff inexplicably turns up as the villainous Jim Reston in The Saint: The Old Treasure Story (4.9, ITC, 1965)
#fave spotting#frank wolff#italian cinema#spaghetti western#the saint#itc#1965#the old treasure story#ok this one is probably just for me#i mean i don't think i have many Italian cinema mutuals‚ at least not many who'd be as excited to see Frank Wolff pop up in my old brit#tv show. but it was the sheer weirdness of it that threw me! this is like an opposite fave spotting. it's not that unusual to have a Brit#or American face turn up in an Italian genre film‚ but the crossover with old British tv (my other one true love) is pretty minimal#but then Wolff wasn't Italian; such was his ubiquity in Italian genre films‚ particularly westerns‚ that I'd entirely forgotten he was#American. in fact he got his start making cheapy horror movies with Roger Corman; it was Corman who advised him to stay in Europe after#shooting finished on sword and sandal flick Atlas‚ and stay he did. over the next decade Wolff made more than 50 films mainly#in Italy‚ a great many of them spaghetti westerns but also gialli and comedies. he became an iconic face in italian cinema (he even has a#small but crucial part in Leone's opus Once Upon a Time in the West) until he sadly took his own life in 1971. but at some point he clearly#took a trip to the UK; The Saint isn't quite his only brit tv role (he also did two eps of The Baron around the same time) but it's very#much an outlier in his filmography. he is tho‚ it must be said‚ absolutely brilliant here. he's a yank former sailor turned gun toting#treasure hunter‚ and he's having the absolute time of his life. he enters‚ in an incredible dark and stormy night setup‚ giggling. he calls#Simon pretty. he adds 'man' to the end of most sentences as tho he were a teen beatnik. it's a brilliantly assured and utterly felt#performance (he feels‚ if it makes sense‚ like a film actor entering a world of tv actors)#Frank only lived another six years after this episode went out‚ but he made nearly 40 films in that time#that kind of proliferation can hurt some actors' performances but i can honestly say I've never seen him in anything where he wasn't#absolutely mesmerising. this was a joy of a surprise
