One day I truly wanna just get sooo deep into the different cultures that kind of exist in Ninjago but in the weird Ninjago fashion of taking bits and pieces and horribly misrepresenting them.

#in other words i wanna examine so much of the odd cultural aspects #like how there might be some middle east equivalent in ninjago bc like #they have djinn #they have the turbans #the architecture in shintaro resembles moroccan and islamic architecture a lot more than japanese architecture #theres some arabic words as evidenced by 'khan' in both nadakhan and khanjikhan #bc khan means king in arabic #or how somehow there exists spanish here solely bc kai went like 'crime doesnt pay muchacho' #and then theres possibly aztec-like cultures #bc clutch powers mentioned his protective amulet was minkan which is likely just a reference to inca and all that #and also they have indigenous cultures but im not very fond of how they handled that specifically #like in both cases its 'the magical tribes who need the outsider ninja to save them from a great evil and/or need to appease an ancient god #ninjago #basically i can do whatever i want u cant stop me !!! #raine's rambles

guess who got an idea for another comedy essay (it's me. i do not have time to write essays other than my current school work rn but oh my goddd my brain is stilly in comedy analysis mode)

#this essay in particular would be about the common themes explored in kids in the hall vs i think you should leave #bc of course we can compare and contrast their comedy style and technique (which would definitely be part of the essay) #but one thing i always find interesting with sketch shows is how even tho most sketch shows don't intentionally have a central theme/topic #comedians and comedy troupes do have themes they gravitate towards consciously or unconsciously #not gonna spoil the essay bc if i start listing what these themes are for the two shows i will just fall into writing the whole essay now #but the crux of it is how kith never did commercial parodies and never parodied specific things in the pop culture and politics of the time #and was much more about human behaviour #vs ITYSL does have infomercials and commercial parodies etc. but it wasn't until today that i noticed they do something very odd with them #that actually does kind of carry through the KITH ethos that's a byproduct of *not* doing commercials #and more closely resembles the KITH view than it does the more mainstream SNL view #idk this might not make sense i'm being vague on purpose bc if i write the essay now my work will not get done

What do you think of the theory Idra is an ancestor of May on account of their similar colored clothes and hair. And May using a Glaceon in the anime

When I first saw Irida I immediately thought she looked like May.

However, once I put them side by side, the differences are a lot more obvious:

They look similar for sure, but not close enough for me to think they’re related. They have different hair color (Irida’s hair has multiple tones too), eye color and even eye shape.

Ancestors in PLA bear such a strong unmistakable resemblance to their descendants with some even having names that tie back to who they’re related to. The connections here just don’t seem strong enough for me when compared to other ancestors like Cyllene, Arezu, Mai, and Kamado.

Rise of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - Dr. Finster & Lord Zedd (Incomplete)

When the Rangers freed Tommy from Rita's control, the shadow desperately seized the body of Dr. Finster, whose biology knowledge she'd been using to create monsters since manipulating him into releasing her.

With him, she casts a ritual to restore her master, Lord Zedd, from the remaining seventh shard of the original Zeo Crystal the Power Coins were forged from.

She is able to restore him, but at the cost of herself, as the incomplete Dark Specter forcefully absorbs her back into himself directly from Dr. Finster's body. Leaving the man exhausted, weakened.

Incomplete as he may be, Zedd's cunning and tactical mind from the war 10,000 years ago remains intact, and he enlists Dr. Finster to fetch him Goldar and his followers. They have work to be done.
