Starting as Army EOD, a failed bomb defusal lead to the death of Jax's friend and his own capture by Al-Qatala. He was rescued by Alex and later joined the CIA under Laswell's command, eventually receiving her recommendation for the Armistice initiative, where he had a little fling with Kamarov.

After the Armistice fell apart, he stayed with Laswell, working directly under her to track the remaining Al-Qatala cells, and has been known to join Shadow Company for select missions
