even though injoo being naive & dumb is the foundation of this drama’s plot & has actually landed her in so much trouble, i really like how doil has always used this weakness of hers to plan things in her favour which ends up strengthening her. like he knows she probably wouldn’t be able to lie to the court. he knows she would accept using that money for small things & nothing else. he then used this opportunity to create a new story & manipulate the reality in her favour which reduced her sentence. he never degrades her because she isn’t smart. the only time he made fun of her naivety was to actually defend her on trial. he then made up later by assuring injoo that being financially illiterate doesn’t mean she’s stupid. in the past too he has always excluded her from his plans because he knows she won’t be able to lie which might actually be dangerous for her. as he himself said “your biggest charm is that you take things at face value”. i think this is the biggest reason he fell for her. since childhood he has worked for rich, evil & manipulative people. her innocence & naivety is like a breathe of fresh air for him. this is why he goes to such extreme lengths to protect her.

Choi Do Il and Oh In joo - The story continues!

For everyone (including me) who wished they could see them ending up together in the show. Special mention @choidoilgirl I hope you like this

(The fanfic takes place after the sisters receive their share of money, Inkyung is in US and In Joo is in Seoul.)

It had been some time since the three sisters received their share of money courtesy of Choi Do il's meticulous planning; To think that the initial shock and surprise would finally settle down in In Joo   but it's been a while and something in her refused to settled down - strange sense of feeling that she couldn't quite name. 

"Wow, when did you finally find time to video call your older sister? Huh Inkyung? And all for gossip… I expected better from you" Joo said, as if offended. "I'm more offended with your choices in men, lately" Inkyung was half laughing, after listening to In joo talk in detail about how her recent blind date went. 

It was somewhere way beyond midnight, when Inkyung had rung up In joo. Under the dim lights of the tiny dining room, the sisters were catching up on details of each other's lives. 

"So you're saying that not only did the guy asked you to pay for dinner at a fancy restaurant but also tried to sell his gym's membership? Like that was not bad?" Inkyung hadn't stopped laughing. 

"ehhh it wasn't that bad" In joo protested, embarrassed, avoiding eye contact.

"yeah.. Maybe…a little" she added, massaging her temple. 

"Seriously sister, have you learned nothing from the time you married that Asshole ?well… on the other hand you do seem to attract conmen all the time" Inkyung commented, though in a joking manner but her tone had a hint of reproach.

"Me and attract con men? Nonsense" In joo, dismissed her sister's claim.

"However, there's actually one I'll approve of," stated Inkyung, casually. 

"Is my sister actually approving of a con man for me? Nice …I'm actually curious who that might be?"  InJoo asked impassively. 

"He's quite the money laundering expert, saved your life and drove a German car while he was at it".

"Can you just be serious? I don't even know who you're talking about" In joo scolded Inkyung.  

Inkyung paused, her face was a mix of disappointment and disbelief. "Are you for real? You're telling me you don't remember Choi Do Il?"

"tsk tsk", Inkyung clicked her tongue in disapproval. 

"Why are we even talking about him all of a sudden?" In joo said with a small laugh. 

Whenever In Joo was embarrassed, she would do this thing where she would laugh abruptly and quietly avoiding eye contact as if it would brush something under the rug. 

A Distraction.

Inkyung of course knew that very well of her older sister, she also felt to some extent slightly guilty about leaving In Joo all alone in Seoul. 

"Well, I'm just saying…you know? If you had to really date someone…you could date someone who always had your best interests at heart, while going to hell and back…..in a nice german car of course - a plus point." Inkyung's voice was very matter of factly but with an edge. 

InJoo made a noise that sounded as if she was coughing. 

"Anyways…I gotta go, I have class and I have to meet Jongho before class begins"

"Great to know you've replaced me with Jongho… who you literally see everyday" said In joo jokingly. "tell him, I said hi"

Inkyung laughed, "well nobody's stopping you from going all out to replace me either, preferably with a guy who drives a German car, I would be the happiest"

"Wow, would you look at that…you've turned more American than I would have liked" 

"HMMM, yes and you're still single. Please do something about that. I'm going now… take care?"

"yeah yeah… I will. Eat well, stay warm and healthy since it's going to winter soon"

Inkyung waved goodbye and the screen of injoo's phone went back to her kakao's chatbox. 

Although this was any other conversation at any given day of the month, It left in joo feeling more unsettled than before. Why did she feel a sudden ache in her body? She felt something similar when Choi Do Il was at the airport, leaving for Greece; the feeling was much lighter then. Today it felt heavier than before, like there was something unfolding in her chest. 

Inkyung, as soon as the video call  disconnected stared at the phone for a moment, she knew there were times when In joo pushed her and Jongho together probably more subtly, she couldn't help but worry about her older sister. 

Without her and Inhye and definitely not counting her parents. In joo was more lonely - a thought that often crossed inkyung's mind, except for a once in a month conversation, they didn't have time to speak to each other often. 

InJoo looked happy in the video calls but Inkyung knew better than anyone that her sister was quite lonely. 

Her sister deserved the money but she deserved happiness and someone who would make a fantastic partner and because Inkyung did not trust people, let alone In Joo's choice in men. 

"I really… for your sake, hope you go after love this time" Inkyung whispered to the blank screen .

Car Accident - Part 1

Both cars was chasing injoo's car but as the truck was about to carsh into injoo's car, the white car sped up to block the damage from injoo's car. Hmm... but who in Singapore would do that apart from Hwayoung, if she's still alive?

Hospital Scene

I think we all lowkey instinctively "know" that injoo meeting hwayoung in the hospital wasn't a dream.

Blood stains on hwayoung shirt, as if she was in the accident herself (supporting the above)

Hwayoung knows injoo's shoe size from the scene when she first lend injoo her heels + it doesnt feel like what sangah would do?

Okay, but if Hwayoung is alive, this comes to my next sub-theory that

Choi Do-il is a bad person

He is fully capable of planning the car accident. If the theories above hold true that

Hwayoung protected her from the car accident

The real hwayoung with the yellow dress gave her the note to warn Do Il

Then, the car accident was a failed plan by Choi Do Il to kill her.

2. Do il's sketchy expression and asking about the money's whereabouts

3. Him wanting In joo to just give him the key already and not wanting to keep talking to her

4. In joo asking Do il to give her share to her sisters, passing out straight afterwards and

5. Do il checking if In joo's dead (a sign of - if she's dead maybe I can keep the money)

Aren't these generally the signs of a person being suspicious??🤔🤔

While I at this point in the episode didn't think he was sus and thought it was just the writers trying to show us his hesitance to give up the money and not fully crossing the line over to In joo, I am surprised by so many people are just overlooking all this and just talking about their hands looking good together and romance.

No but are we really going to ignore the fact that Hwayoung literally hired an already suicidal person to get killed in her place? All this for a petty revenge on Sangah? Nobody is discussing about how fkd up this is & even the script ended up glorifying her actions? And she had cctv footage as proof to Sangah’s crime all this time & still did nothing? She went to live lavishly in Singapore leaving Injoo to deal with the consequences of her actions all alone? I don’t think the woman who could plan revenge in the most fkd up manner was dumb not to know that her actions weren’t going to keep Injoo “happy”. And even after all of this she gets away with just a sorry & Injoo forgives her? Girl where’s your self-respect? Just because she saved you from dying in Singapore when she was the very reason you found yourself in that mess there? She had the opportunity of handling everything after that but still hid. She knew both Jaesang & Sangah both were behind Injoo’s life. like WHYYY? They ended up whitewashing her legit criminal activities throughout the episode. She wasn’t the girl-boss they so badly wanted us to believe. They could’ve used that screentime for giving us a proper closure to Choi Do Il. My man deserved better for literally being the only smart person on this drama saving Injoo’s ass everytime from the mess her dearest Unnie intentionally pushed her into 😭 He doesn’t even get a thank you in return & even gets stabbed on the shoulder 😭 Choi Do Il deserved better.

Honestly I’m very optimistic about Do Il and In Ju. I think they will end up meeting again solely bcus she didn’t know she had that kind of money to come with him. BUT he knew that already which is why he said lets meet again

The Story Concludes

Doil and Injoo took their time while dating each other. They had to grow closer to each other without the awkwardness of just being partners in crime . It wasn't hard, injoo's tenacity always won him over, he smiled at her quietly, while she animatedly spoke about the most random thing. Marriage was definitely on the cards but Do il had to be sure if it's something both of them wanted, considering Injoo's experience the last time she was married. 

"I wonder if you'd marry me.. if I asked you to" injoo blurted out with a laugh.

Doil choked on whatever he was drinking. They were on a date. "Are you okay with marrying someone?"

"well… Yes, since we're already dating, it seems like the next natural step….unless,  you're the type to not believe in that sorta thing?"

 

Doil gazed at her ardently, "Injoo-shi, would you like to marry me?"

Injoo shyly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, avoiding eye contact…"uh-huh, I would… I need someone who's good with money because I'm not" 

Doil burst out laughing - the only thing that happens uncharacteristically whenever he's with Injoo, he's laughed more times with her than he's done so in his entire life, why wouldn't injoo be special to him? 

"I will take care of the money and I will take care of you"

Oh Injoo squeezed her eyes and smiled as she always did whenever she had her way and perhaps Choi Doil fell a little more in love with her. 

……

Doil planned the wedding meticulously even though injoo wasn't very particular about details, she stopped caring about luxury brands for wedding dresses and what not. But doil did not hesitate to get the best he could afford and he could afford quite the best. It was a simple wedding that brought all the sisters together, where Inkyung was surprised her sister beat her and Jongho from getting married first but she was the happiest. Constantly teasing Injoo and very surprisingly even Inhye joined her.

"Good job brother in law but there's no return policy on this one" inkyung teased Doil, on the day of the wedding. 

"she's too precious to be returned back, I think I'll hold onto her" Doil said with a quiet laugh 

"aaaagh that's so cheesy…" complained Inkyung. 

"so cheesy" Inhye echoed

"waaa you know you're both more annoying now than you were as kids?" injoo complained from afar in a wedding dress Choi Doil turned to gaze at her, 

She was so simple but so very beautiful and radiant, he was falling in love all over again.

Dead on Main au where Jason is of course Danny’s Fright Knight and like all knights do he has a weapon—except it’s his gun.

The batfam + justice league + everyone (except ghosts duh) don’t know that his normal average everyday gun is actually like a super powerful spiritual soul shooter that is, yaknow, capable of blasting someone into an alternate dimension where their greatest fears become real.

So imagine there’s like a big battle where a ghastly ghoul reigns terror on Gotham. The world sends their best hero’s—wizards and occultists are notably high highest in demand—to stop the ghost but, nothing works. All of the weapons and spells and chants fail.

But,

As the fights worsens and the heros scream for people to flee suddenly--

Loud squeaking footsteps echo across the ground. Jason yawns strolling into the battle zone in a ghostbusters t-shirt plaid pants bunny slippers--he strolls up in pajamas--as if annoyed at being woken up and cocks his fucking normal 'i could buy you at walmart' gun at the ghost.

His brothers screech at him yelling ”Are you insane” and to "get the hell out of here" in fear and panic because their idiot brother is trying to kill a real life ghost with a damn gun.

But then Jason shoots the ghost and it works.

The ghost fizzles down with a cry into just a little blob.

The young man then spends 30 minutes lecturing the spirit saying things like “you’re glad I’m not calling the big guy” and “you know our highness would not be happy learning what you’ve been doing” before taking out a thermos of all things and sucking the ghost into it.

Jason then sighs and walks away as if he hadn’t just defeated a hell raising ghost with a gun people can buy off a corner pawn store and a soup container.

Immediately the bat family swarms him with questions

Dick grabs him by his shoulders tense with worry, “Are you okay?”

“Um yeah—“ Jason tries to reply squirming in his hold

Damian cuts him off, “How the hell did your gun a physical weapon hurt that ghastly demonic spirit!”

“Uh that ghost is actually pretty chill you guys just pissed him off." Jason replies plain

They stare at him with a look saying 'you did not call a ghost that has been decimating gotham chill' probably because he did just that.

Tim is the first to break out of the disbelief stupor as he very inteligently says, "What?"

Jason responds easily with a confused quirk in his brow, "Second, my gun affects entities of all sorts, perks to my job and all that."

"How did being a vigilante and also probably crime boss give you a gun that could do that?" Dick asks

Jason sends him a look saying "are you an idiot" as he replies, "Yea, sure, kicking petty thieves and druggies got me my all powerful spirit weapon--No you dumbass, it's from being the bodyguard of the King of the Infinite Realms! How the hell did you guys not think of that!”

Tim breathes in, then breathes out, then breathes in again and screams, "Why the HELL WOULD WE THINK OF THAT JAY?!"

"The--" Batman, suddenly beside them, chokes, "Bodyguard of T-the what."

Jason blinks at his family then his eyes widen, "Oh shit."

"What?!" His family screech in panic

"Oh fuck," Jason says with a growing hysteric smile, "Danny's gonna have a big ol' fucking laugh with this."

"Brother who is Danny!" Damian demands for an answer

Jason coughs into his palm, "Oh yeah you guys really dont dont know. So I may have forgotten to explain some... things."

Bruce levels him with a stare that says "you think?"

Jason chuckles nervously, "So y'know how I'm half dead?"

pause

Damian very eloquently responds for the suddenly dying screaming combusting members of his family, "...sure."

"Well I met the King of the afterlife which is like the Ruler of Everything and he was really cute--" Jason says distant in his own world

"Theres a afterlife?" Superman asks casually appearing beside the emotionally wrecked family

"Yea its pretty cool. So I start flirting a bit with the guy and we hit it off, I now im his zombie ghost knight boyfriend lover for all time. Oh and i got this sickass gun." Jason says with a happy grin

"That is a pretty sick gun." John Constantine nods

"I know right?" Jason chirps

"You wouldn't mind if I inspected--" John reaches his hand

Jason slaps it away, "Not a chance you soul whore. Y'know your basically the tax evasionist of the Ghost Zone right?"

John only sighs and leaves

"But yea so I'm like the ghost world equivalent to married with the king and became his knight and thats how I was able to stop that ghost guy." Jason reiterates as if explaining a simple question, "Y'guys get that?"

Tim is on the ground trying to decide whether; sobbing hysterically, interogating jason to find out all the things he doesn't want to know or sleeping would be a better use of his time.

Dick has decided to blame himself and has started to draft a reddit post in the middle of the street starting with "I (23 m) have a younger brother (19 m), who I used to resent but really regret now, he died and came back and doesn't even tell me about what goes on in his life anymore. How do I fix our--"

Damian is just staring at the gun and... Jason pushes it deeper in his holster and shifts to the side, better to be safe than sorry with this thieving shit.

As Jason adjusts his weaponry he hears Bruce sob in the background, "He didn't even invite me to the wedding! Am I that horrible of a father!"

Wonder Woman pats his shoulder reasuringly whilst the rest of the League seem to be trying to calm him down

Jason looks around tiredly at the mess he had created and decides fuck it

"Alright I'm heading out for the night, you guys get home safe!" He yells and without caring to listen to anyone and everyone voicing their confusion he zips open a green portal and stumbles in

He crashes down on an unbelievably comfortable bed

Danny blinks blearily before sending the young man a sleepy smile, "Hey Jay, what kept you up so long?"

Jason slipping under the blankets with a yawn says, "You would not believe the night I just had."
