Dating Sim (ByeBye!) Development Adventures 3:

Ok so ALOT has happened since my last post— so much so that I forgot I even had tumblr in the first place 😅

So lets catch up shall we??

Firstly, It’s not just me developing anymore!

I somehow managed to rope in a wonderful team of Writers, Artists, and Programmers, and I could not be more grateful! Although most of our conversations not relating to the game are purely chaos- the amount of work we’ve been able to get done is just insane.

We’ve gone from an initial game concept- to having one main plot line complete (as well as another one which should be done by later today!) And various game mechanics, lore, and so much other things in the works.

There’s so much I wish I could share, but that would be—Pages and pages of content— which I do not want to subject anyone to LOL-

We’ve also finalized our character lineup! We have six romanceables (and a possible dlc 7th…) and 5 NPC’s.

The names are the following!

all of their design concepts can be found on the game’s discord- and we should have their finalized designs sometime this week or next!

Another thing to mention is the games lore!

As mentioned briefly in a previous post, this game isn’t only a discord dating sim- but actually also a mystery solving game! Because of this- we are working out a whole lot of dialogue and storylines that all connect back to the server and *all* the characters that are in it.

We’ve made this sort of mystery also semi optional- as you don’t necessarily need it to complete routes. However, If you want to unlock Overlord’s route, a little mystery solving is required. Along with some bad endings just to make it a little painful for you sillies 😈.

some other small things to mention!

- We are in the process of finalizing a Logo design!!

- We have officially closed artist applications (though there is a potential to reopen them in the future)

- We’re finishing the designs of character pfps!

SO if u've read my long as hell marnie essay u'll know he's her older brother! he's the dark type gym leader of the region and lives in spikemuth obviously AND there's smth i forgor to mention during my marnie essay! u see in every single town in galar u can dynamax or gigantamax ur pokemon in the gym BUT in spikemuth u can't bc there's no um. how's it called in english. well in spanish it's called nodo dinamax and that's what makes it able to dynamax ur pokemon! so he's the only gym leader that never dynamaxes his pokemon :] NOW THEN he's also the only gym leader that doesn't show up in the opening ceremony of the gym challenge so u only get to meet him when u arrive at spikemuth and he's having a concert there bc our guy is a singer AND songwriter BOOM!!!!!! what a guy fr....... COUGHS ANYWAYS he puts himself down saying he thought no one came to challenge him bc he was useless and. that kinda seems like u. BUT YEAH it's actually bc the town is closed down so yeah our fav guy isn't and will never be useless 🫶🫶 ANYWAYS like any other gym leader u rlly don't get to see them during the game BUT piers is special! as i said during my marnie essay he wants marnie to be the next dark type gym leader and since marnie doesn't become champion he's free to do wtv he likes! and so during the post game these two evil guys from the novelty appear and start dynamaxing their pokemon in all the cities and since he's no longer a gym leader and there's no um. nodo dinamax thingie in spikemuth he helps protagonist and hop (<3333) to take care of that! so we get to see more of piers LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO AHEM anyways let's go to what u rlly care abt fkhfjdjkd personality! by his looks u probably think he's dark and scary and all that BUT just like marnie he's actually pretty sweet and nice! he's very overprotective of marnie and in general of his friends too :] he's also kinda shy i think? like he seems kinda closed off upon first meeting. kind of. okay because im back on my tua bullshit. i need to talk to you all about five and his queerness + neurodivergency.

FIRST OFF. starting with his gender cause this is kinda the one i put the least amount of thought into. i think he is agender i think he uses he/him pronouns just out of convenience. i think at one point like klaus or something used they/them for him on accident and he was like huh. i dont mind that actually. but didnt care enough to actually like officially make it a Thing. i think maybe klaus or viktor at aome point tried to have a Gender Talk with them and they tolerated it for like five minutes begote being like “oh my fucking god i do not give a shit. use whatever pronouns you want now leave me alone” and that was kinda the end of that

SEXUALITY. OKAY. this one i have a lot of feelings about. so they are aroace. in my heart it is true. I KNOW. I KNOW HE HAD A WIFE. HOWEVER. consider the circumstances. mans ran away when he was 13 years old. he never really talked to anyone other than his siblings even before that. i don’t think he fully understood what romance was (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING HE DIDNT HACE LIKE. PARENTS WHO WERE IN LOVE TO OBSERVE) at that point. all he knew was that peoplr who spend their lives together get married because theyre “in love” or something. and he never really got the chance to learn what romantic love is. because yknow. he didnt talk to anyone for half a century. but they are so so so so lonely and their mind is so desperate for company that they make themself a companion. i think hr was like 20 or something when he found delores? idk. but in his mind this is someone who he wants yo spend all of his time with so obviously hes going to do whatever a Romance is. (thus is simplified obviously he has some idea of what romance is but i think he didnt fully get that it’s like. something that’s different from familial love.) so yeah he married delores but i dont think he loved her romantically. honestly he doesn’t ever perform any specifically romantic behavior? it’s obvious he cares for her (has an unhealthy attatchment to her really) but he never really. he just treats her like a really good friend. which idk maybe thats just how five woulf do romance but it just doesn’t feel that way to me. with the aroace thing i dont think he ever really puts a label on it because he basically refuses to talk about delores with his siblings so there’s never really an opportunity for them to be like Five That’s Just What Having A Friend Is. but yeah. five aroace and its important to me

now why did i skip days 2 and three? well i was supposedly meant to follow my instagram posting schedule ( sat, sun and wed ) so before october i crossed out the ones that werent on either Wednesday or the weekends ( and then proceedingly broke the posting schedule several times on ig, oops )

but uh, i liked this one

this one is meant to show off my very first skykid ocs ( which r still my ocs till now just not moth/butterfly like anymore, my babies grew up D: ) one of them is dead in this photo, try to figure out who ( hint, ITS SAHI THE OEN WITH THE BLUE LOOKING CO- )

day 28 - best sky moment

honestly i have several best sky moments, but i guess this one will forever be a great memory to me- i come home from school, excited to change clothes and get on my tablet for the new season of AURORA, then i go ahead and do the quests and catch up with my moth friends, then bam! my very first pass being gifted to me. even if i rarely wear the pendant now, its something ill always be grateful for.

day 29 - chance encounter

idk if i even did this prompt right, anyways heres how i found my first moth friend, in gw, hiding from a krill.

i was gonna add the same dude from the candle prompt too since i pretty much met them the same way but i was in a rush to get it done before midnight ( i failed )

1. ﹕ About the AU

ㅤㅤㅤafter waking up one seemingly normal morning, Wally soon discovers that the bad feeling he'd been having for the past few days was very much true when he steps out of his house, realizing it had been overtaken by a parasite of unknown origin, which is slowly spreading to its surroundings — the neighborhood.

ㅤㅤㅤclearly now without a home it moves in with Barnaby, all his belongings now lost to the parasite. suffering of constant nightmares of the future that awaits them, pup becomes a shell of what he once was, his hair now a messy ponytail rather than his usual well cared for pompadour.

ㅤㅤㅤthey can't ignore the problem forever, the parasite only growing stronger and bigger with each passing day. the house below it now barely visible anymore, aside from its front door; almost completely untouched, almost tempting to go through. the eyes all over it seemed to multiply overnight, now covering most of its surfaces just so they can watch their every move. ㅤㅤㅤthey had to get rid of it, and someone had a plan... but maybe it won't go as smoothly as they planned; the parasite won't go down without taking another with it.

ㅤㅤㅤheart broken by the loss of a friend, they all grieve and mourn together, trying to support each other as best as they can. Wally was just a kid, after all, so the loss struck him hardest of all, now further isolating and blaming itself for all that happened.

ㅤㅤㅤbut that's not the end, is it...?
