she appears as though she was born twenty-six years ago but is actually one hundred and thirty-three, she is a vampire who lives in bowden as a pastry chef. she looks an awful lot like olivia cooke.

tw: death, gore, disturbing imagery, military mention if you met rose ayres in the summer of 1914 in kent, you might not have thought she had it all, but she would have gladly countered you. with a husband whom she loved, a modest job as a teacher's assistant, and a two-storey house where she was at peace, despite her rather troubled past, rose was ready to consider herself content. when the winter of 1916 came and brought with it the military conscription, and so went her husband, rose remained steadfast, falling into a steady rhythm consisting of working during the day, baking over the weekends and writing fond letters to the front late at night. although she always dreaded the worst, that immeasurable loss which could be delivered at her door at any moment, when the worst did not happen and her husband came back following what was termed a nervous breakdown, rose was about to learn there are fates worse than both death and grief. distance, and a cold shoulder to her was new coming from the man who had before told his greatest wish to spend his life together, but rose did not despair, assuming what one sees in battle must account for the frost she hoped would thaw. but as days turned into weeks, weeks into a month, and rose found her husband spending time locked in what used to be their shared study, things came to the breaking point that changed her life. after that fateful encounter, turned into an argument, in that same study,  rose lay down in a pool of her own blood, sticky and hot to the touch, eyes unblinkingly staring at the corner of the oaken writing desk she spent countless nights composing her letters, and as her eyesight started to blur into a haze, her last thoughts in her human life were "this can't be happening to me". when the next time her eyelids flutter into consciousness, she wakes up to a world where she is no longer human, turned into what her husband has so recently become by his maker, out of a sense of responsibility and guilt for the damage his progeny is inflicting. and to this day, whenever rose recalls that day, the knot in her throat forms not over the memory of dying, all alone, but her abandonment to death by the man who promised her "'til death do us part." ever since traveling from kent, to london, and then to paris, warsaw, cairo, and others, rose leads the rest of her un-life in the pursuit of that brief period of peace she'd felt as a young woman. when she stumbles into opulence, with all its mystery and protection, for the first time in years, she makes the bold decision to move somewhere where people can know what it is that she has long ago become. so once in opulence, she opens a bakery, to resume something she loved as a human, creating food meant for consumption but not for destruction, once again resolved to capture some of her past joy back.

Your character grew up with Ronnie in Darien, Connecticut, to the wealthy Henry and Josie Bishop, and had a very cushy up-bringing. Their parents were distant and best at showing affection through gifts, not attention. While your character was definitely spoiled, there was no doubt that the family youngest, Ronnie, was even moreso.

Perhaps your character's relationship with Ronnie is soured. Maybe they didn't approve of her attitude or the way she behaved, or maybe they just thought she was a brat. Honestly, your character could have just been indifferent, too focused on their own life to really care about forming relationships with their entitled family. Maybe your character and Ronnie actually got along rather well in their childhood

It's likely that no matter what, however, that your character and Ronnie (and a third sibling! whoever they may be) grew apart, and weren't really in contact for a while.

At the end of April, 2023, Ronnie went missing from her apartment in New York, and, a few days later, a crime scene was found with enough of her blood for investigators to rule that she'd been murdered. Your character's family mourned as much as they knew how.

However, something didn't seem quite right, and, somehow, your character found out that their sister might actually be alive out there somewhere. Which led them to Lunar Cove, the last safe place for supernaturals in the world, and the most likely place to find Ronnie, for better or for worse.

description: the moore family has lived in roswell since the beginning of time. in the years that followed, their small family grew to fill every nook and cranny of their humble trailer and, as their children grew older, they often slept two (or more) to a bed in order to squeeze in everyone. they were hardly a family of means, but the children were incredibly close in their youth and early years; their little set up could’ve been considered idyllic in a modest, humble sort of way, the siblings brought together by their shared nothingness. that was when the divorce hit. their father, it seemed, hadn’t been as nice as he appeared behind closed doors, making life a living hell for the moore’s mother and driving her to signing those papers out of pure desperation. the family splintered, with the eldest siblings moving away and failing to contact their family, whether that was out of resentment, time or motive. like boomerangs, though, they returned once sparrow alerted their siblings that their mother was gravely ill; they wrote letters to their last known addresses, left voicemails on the phone numbers, just to let them know. if they couldn’t help  support her, at least maybe they’d come visit her again while they still had the chance. if they want to come home, no matter for how long, the door’s always been open and they never changed the locks.

This character would have been in Lunar Cove long before Aiyla ever showed up. They very well could be a local but that is up to you. However, before Aiyla showed up they were close to the late Fae Queen Hazal Kaplan. Perhaps they believed that they would be advisor to the queen. However, Hazal never made it official. I imagine she would have trusted this person. Maybe even taken their advice from time to time but yet never officially picked an advisor. At least until Aiyla turned up in 2015. In under a year Hazal officially named Aiyla their advisor. How they reacted to that choice is up to you. But they've more or less resented that Aiyla was given that role. Years later when Hazal died and Aiyla was made queen it slowly became known that Aiyla was the queens daughter from Aiyla's first life. How your character reacted to this news and the basis of their connection now is utp. On Aiyla's end I imagine she tries to appeal to this person. But not even she can explain why Hazal picked her and not them. She has always feared it was because Hazal recognized her and a good ole case of nepotism played in heer favor. But that fear has made her a more dedicated leader trying to prove that she is deserving of this spot.
